May 22, 2010
The American Airlines arena in Miami was packed as the TWF hit national airwaves on NBC. Fans around the world were in store for one of the most action packed shows in quite some time.
The Hart Dynasty w/ Natalya vs. Leo Kruger and Derrick Bateman (invitees) Bateman and Kruger are two young guys trying to make an impression on anyone watching, but they don't have the teamwork and togetherness that the Hart's do. Harry Smith provided the power and was able to take care of both men, dropping Kruger into the man with the Bulldog powerslam. Kidd tagged in and Hart held Kruger up for the "Hart Attack", allowing Kidd to pin him for the win. Maryse and Katie Lea vs. Gail Kim and Alba Rios Maryse brought her newly won Femme Fatale title to the ring as two ladies who would love to one day hold it looked on in the ring. Gail and Alba came out focused, taking turns taking it to Maryse. But Alba seemed to hurt her neck after delivering a backddrop suplex and Maryse tagged out to Katie Lea. Katie Lea came in and was all over Alba but when she went for a suplex, Alba slipped free and caught her with a round kick to the head. Alba tagged out but went outside the ring, clearly in pain. Gail Kim sprung into the ring but Katie Lea got in a punch to the gut before tagging in Maryse. The cocky, arrogant Femme Fatale champion rifled several forearms into the face of Gail Kim before shooting her to the ropes but after ducking a clothesline, Kim connected with a big dropkick. Moments later, she caught Maryse with the "Eat Defeat" and that led to the win. Gail celebrated the win but Alba, still holding the back of her head and neck, didn't look like a winner. Yoshi Tatsu vs. Zack Ryder Two guys trying to break out of the pack and make an impact on Rampage squared off her and it was the athletic and quick Yoshi Tatsu who got out of the gate early. After battering the Long Island native with his feet, Tatsu scored with a terrific dropkick. But when he went to the top rope and tried to come off with a flying spin kick, Ryder got out of the way and then got him up for the "Zack Attack" to pick up a win in a match he was clearly being dominated in. Kofi KIngston vs. Rene Dupree Without Paul Burchill or Katie Lea in his corner, the 'French Phenom' looked like a different man as Kingston's unorthodox attack had him reeling moments into the match. Kofi landed the Boom Drop after dropping Dupree with a top rope clothesline and that led to the unique S.O.S. which led to a win for Kofi. As Kingston celebrated with the large crowd, the NBC cameras and TWF crew got ready for Main Event to take the air. MAIN EVENT GOES LIVE WHEN MAIN EVENT TAKES THE AIR LIVE ON THE NBC NETWORK, THE POINT OF VIEW OF SOMEONE BEHIND A STEERING WHEEL IS SHOWN AS THEY GAZE OUTSIDE THE WINDSHIELD, BARRELING DOWN THE ROAD. A GREEN STREET SIGN ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD READS "HOUSTON- 1,600 MILES" BEFORE IMAGES OF KEVIN THORN AND THEN NAILS ARE MIXED IN. FINALLY, THE VEHICLE COMES TO A SCREECHING HALT BEFORE THE CAMERA TILTS TO THE RIGHT, SHOWING THE AMERICAN AIRLINES ARENA IN MIAMI. BLOODSIMPLE's HIT "DEAD MAN WALKING" BEGINS TO PLAY AS THE INSIDE OF THE ARENA IS SHOWN, NOISY AS HECK DUE TO THE HUGE CROWD. Todd Grisham: "Hello everyone and welcome to Miami which will play host to a huge edition of TWF Main Event! Todd Grisham here with the Honky Tonk Man and Honky, we've got both major titles here in the TWF set to be defended tonight"! Honky Tonk Man: "And one of those will be a First Blood match between Nails and Kevin Thorn! I'm ready for a bloodbath"!
"Save Me" by Burn Halo plays as Jordan Rockwell makes his way to the ring in his street clothes which is high lighted by a Tapout t-shirt and hat to a big pop from the crowd and before entering the ring he takes his hat off and puts it on a young boy at ringside. Grisham: "Randy Orton will also defend the title against the mountain of muscle, Ezekiel Jackson, but out first is Jordan Rockwell".
The fans begin chants of "Rockwell".
Jordan Rockwell: "Why yes I am! Ya know it's kinda funny with the way things are in the world these days because you have a lot of things going on in the world and ironically enough some should not be such a big deal, I mean like there is all this stuff about Tiger Woods sleeping with all these women and yet he is married and he has children and well to be honest it is not such a big deal.
A lot of the fans seem to be in shock.
I mean cheating on your spouse is wrong and well you'd never catch me doing that cause I love my wife and after all I think that shows by the fact that we're expecting our baby next month which goes to show that I am a proven baby maker so if anyone needs help with that just send your cards and or letters to me in care of the TWF and I will look them over for a possible person to aid...... oh wait.... never mind the wife may get ticked then I won't get any.... uh anyways, point is no need to get upset because Tiger is really guilty of gimmick infringement cause we all know Travis Wakeman originated that whole schtick".
Rockwell starts laughing as the fans begin chants of "We want Wakeman".
It's true and then you get all these stories of that politician going to that website and messing with that escort and once again we get robbed here in the TWF, oh yeah, i mean have you seen Joe Corey's career since he came to PrimeTime? Puts new meaning to the phrase going down!
A lot of the fans laugh and yell out at that comment.
What's another one, oh all that crap about taxing sodas and fast food restaurants getting fined and things like that, well I say shame on the government!
The fans cheer
Do you know how hard it is for Chaos Wolf to find dates?
Once again the fans laugh
How the hell do you think he met Tirpak?
The fans all go "ooooooh" as Rockwell gets close to the camera and grins.
All of a sudden Shane Thompsons comes out and makes his way to the ring, interrupting Rockwell.
Shane Thompson: "Another enjoyable bit on the TWF comedy hour, but what I want to know is are you done yet"?
Jordan Rockwell: "Actually no cause I had another joke about celebs coming out of the closet after passing Sam Wilde and Michael Cole being fired from the next Batman movie for liking the outfits a bit too much, ya know it was a whole gay theme! Oh and I had this other one about you doing the sequel to that movie Losers except they changed the name and added the words even bigger to the title".
Shane Thompson: "Wow, Rockwell, you are such a riot, almost as funny as me standing here seeing you not as the Universal champion and knowing you never will be again since there are a lot of people standing in your way, myself included, and I must say I think what Chris Jericho said is true, I think with him not being around your whole so called franchise legacy is a fake and a fraud".
BOOS RESONATE AROUND THE ARENA
Jordan Rockwell: "Okay firstly, I am not the Universal champion yet but that will change real soon and for two if you and anyone back there think that you are going to get in my way of winning that belt for a fifth time, then I'm sorry you're making that mistake!
The fans begin a chant of "We want five"
Trust me, it's coming! And now that I think of it, why the heck are you even out here? I didn't hear a call for the janitorial staff, besides, why is it every time I turn around you are in my space? I mean it's kinda creepy to be honest. Oh wait, I got it that's your new nickname, creepy little bastard! No wait, better yet it's CLB"!
The fans start to chant "CLB" which upsets Thompson who hauls off and slaps Rockwell in the face.
Jordan Rockwell: "Thank you ever so much.......
Rockwell drops the mic and shoots a double leg takedown on Thompson and pounds away at him for a few moments until out from the back comes Sylvester Terkay. Terkay came in and booted Rockwell in the back of the head and he then pounced on him and hit him with a few right hands which gave Thompson the chance to get up and put the boots to Rockwell as well until he called for Terkay to go for the heart punch. Terkay got up to get ready for it while Thompson pulled Rockwell's arms behind him as Terkay rared back.
All of a sudden the crowd cheered as John Cena hit the ring which quickly caused Terkay to turn around and try to take a swing but Cena ducked it and clotheslined him over the top rope to the floor. Thompson let go causing Rockwell to fall to the mat and he jumped out of the ring as Cena went after him.
"The Time is Now" hit and Cena helped Rockwell up to his feet as he held the back of his head all the while looking up the aisle with an extremely angered look on his face and he could be seen mouthing the words "Ok fine" in Terkay's direction. Grisham: "An explosive start here to Main Event and I am being told right now that this tussle will lead to a tag team match later tonight"! HTM: "Maybe we'll see that Heart Punch that Cena just ruined"! BACKSTAGE....... PJ CASH IS SHOWN PACING BACK AND FORTH WHEN JOE COREY COMES UP. PJ Cash: "I didn't get us the tag team match you asked me to get because....... Joe Corey: "That's fine, it doesn't matter because I've been thinking and I have come to the decision that us as a tag team.... is just not working. WrestleMania is right around the corner and I am going to do something to get myself on the marquee..... where I belong. You...... I don't know what you're gonna do...... just sit tight and watch". COREY LEAVES THE AREA AS CASH LOOKS ON. PJ Cash: "The team never worked....... and we'll see who they're talking more about after tonight". COMMERCIAL BREAK............. COMMERCIALS FOR M&M's AND FRONTIER AIRLINES ARE SHOWN. RETURN FROM BREAK.... BACKSTAGE...... IN THE BACKSTAGE AREA, CAMERAS PICK UP A CONVERSATION BETWEEN BILL CUTTING AND M.X. OGDEN. M.X. Ogden: "So you didn't see him anywhere? He's really not here"? Bill Cutting: "No, I asked everyone that would know.... Oliver isn't here". M.X. Ogden: "That little bitch". Bill Cutting: "Well, not to take your mind off of him, but you do have a match against me tonight". M.X. Ogden: "Yeah...... I ain't sweatin' it". OGDEN TURNS AND WALKS AWAY WHEN MOMENTS LATER, JASON OLIVER POPS OUT FROM NOWHERE. Jason Oliver: "Good work........ now just stick to the rest of the plan and soften him up tonight". FINLAY IS SHOWN IN THE RING AS HIS MUSIC PLAYS BUT CAMERAS CATCH SOMEONE COMING THROUGH THE CROWD AND CLIMBING OVER THE BARRICADE. IT's MONEY MIKE! MONEY MIKE IS IN THE BUILDING AND BOOS ARE HEARD EVERYWHERE ONCE THE CROWD REALIZES IT. Grisham: "What in the hell"? HTM: "Look at this..... it's Money Mike..... he's coming over here"! MONEY MIKE COMES OVER TO THE BROADCAST POSITION AND GRABS AN EXTRA HEADSET. Money Mike: "Is this thing on"? Grisham: "What.... what is going on here? You're not part of the TWF anymore"! Money Mike: "Are you sure about that? Have you talked with the owner of the TWF? I have.... and he has signed me to a brand new TWF contract so here I am....... "BREAK THE WALLS DOWN" IS HEARD AND CHRIS JERICHO COMES OUT TO NOTHING BUT BOOS. Grisham: "We've got Chris Jericho ready to face Finlay here but I am at a loss for words here..... Money Mike has joined us for commentary". Money Mike: "And I'm not goin' anywhere, so keep trembling over there. Don't worry, I don't have the authority to fire you..... yet". Chris Jericho vs. Finlay Finlay provided a tough challenge for Jericho, but Jericho seemed to be in tip top shape, just too quick for Finlay. After absorbing some hard right hands from Finlay, Jericho was whipped to the ropes and ducked a clothesline before connecting with a flying back elbow. Upon getting Finlay to his feet, Jericho smashed his chest with a flurry of knifedge chops. After a big suplex, Jericho used the ropes to attempt the Lionsault, but Finlay got his knees up. Both men were down when suddenly, two hooded men began to roll a casket down the entrance ramp, resting it at ringside. Finlay got up to see the two men slowly walk away before jumping onto the chest of Jericho with a seated senton. Finlay pulled Jericho up and got him to his shoulders, driving him into the mat with a running fireman's carry slam. Finlay went for a cover, but Jericho was up at 2. Finlay continued to pour it on, pulling Jericho into a short arm clothesline. He tried to follow up with the "Celtic Cross" but Jericho sensed it and raked his hand across his face before delivering a jumping enziguri. Finlay didn't go down but Jericho popped back up to hit the "Codebreaker". Both men were down as Jericho couldn't immediately capitalize on his finishing move. But he got up and grabbed both feet of Finlay, turning him over with the 'Walls of Jericho'. Finlay, one of the toughest men in the business, fought and scratched his way, trying to get to the ropes. But Jericho pulled him back into the center of the ring, sitting down on the hold with even more torque and Finlay had to give it up. Match Time: 12:39 HTM: "He got him! The Walls of Jericho is too much for the Belfast Brawler"! Grisham: "A big win for Jericho but what is this"? Money Mike: "He's comin' out here.... and let's not forget about that casket at ringside"! JERICHO GRABBED A STEEL CHAIR AND FOLDED IT OVER BEFORE GETTING INTO THE RING WITH IT. FINLAY SLOWLY GOT TO HIS FEET ONLY TO HAVE JERICHO BLAST HIM WITH THE CHAIR. JERICHO THEN WENT OUTSIDE THE RING AND OPENED THE CASKET BEFORE GETTING BACK IN AND ROLLING FINLAY INTO IT. HE SLAMMED THE LID SHUT AND THEN CLIMBED ATOP THE CASKET, RAISING BOTH ARMS AS THE FANS BOOED AND "BREAK THE WALLS DOWN" PLAYED AGAIN. Grisham: "Well this isn't.... this isn't what we thought". HTM: "Right, because you thought The Undertaker was lying in wait inside that casket..... too bad"! Money Mike: "Too bad is right. I like what Jericho is doing and with any luck, he'll take that idiot Undertaker out for good at WrestleMania". HTM: "Money Mike, I love what you do in the ring, but it sounds to me like you're trying to take the words out of my mouth. I know I have a lot of fans around the world....... Money Mike: "Then how come you aren't able to get any women, huh? I don't know who suffers more from a lack of female interaction, you or this idiot Todd Grisham here". BACKSTAGE AREA....... IN THE BACK, CHAOS WOLF STANDS BETWEEN CHRIS TIRPAK AND DAMION WEST. Chris Tirpak: "West, you have a lot to prove if you guys are gonna be a better tag team than Wolf and I were". Damion West: "What? We won the titles in our first match together, something you and him never did". Chaos Wolf: "Enough. All I want to know is if we're all gonna be able to work together tonight because we've got CM Punk, Colt Cabana and Richard Ramsley". Damion West: "I'm cool". TIRPAK DOESN'T RESPOND, HE JUST GRABS HIS KENDO STICK AND LEAVES THE ROOM. SYLVESTER TERKAY's MUSIC IS PLAYING AND HE AND SHANE THOMPSON ARE IN THE RING READY FOR ACTION WHEN "THE TIME IS NOW" COMES ON AND JOHN CENA COMES OUT TO THE RING. Grisham: "What an awkward situation for Chaos Wolf.... his current tag team partner and his former tag team partner". HTM: "And he doesn't he like either one of them"! Grisham: "This match was set up earlier tonight after John Cena came to the aid of Jordan Rockwell who was in a bad situation with Terkay and Thompson". "SAVE ME" BY BURN HALO PLAYS AGAIN AND JORDAN ROCKWELL MAKES HIS WAY OUT FROM THE BACK TO ONE OF THE BIGGEST POPS OF THE NIGHT. HTM: "Can you believe he called Shane Thompson a CLB"? Money Mike: "Yeah, it might be even more funny if someone else in this business hadn't come up with it about ten years ago". Grisham: "Ya know, having the Honky Tonk Man out here is negative enough but let's be serious, what are you trying to pull out here tonight, Mike"? Money Mike: "Grisham, you better shut your mouth unless you want to sip food through a straw for a month! I'm out here because I can be..... and I have never hidden my dislike for the so-called Franchise! He's garbage as far as I'm concerned and one day.... one day he'll be on his knees at the feet of yours truly"! Grisham: "Oooooooook". Shane Thompson and Sylvester Terkay vs. John Cena and Jordan Rockwell Rockwell got in the ring to start things off with Thompson and after circling each other, Rockwell turned and rocked an unsuspecting Terkay with a right hand. Thompson ran in but much like earlier, Rockwell shot a double leg and bombarded Thompson with right hands. After a scramble, both men got to their feet only for Rockwell to use a drop toe hold to set up the STF. It looked like we may see the quickest match in the history of the Main Event before Terkay came in and stomped on the back of Rockwell's head. The hold was broken and Thompson got up, kicking Rockwell 3 times in the ribs before going to the middle turnbuckle where he jumped off into a nice bulldog takedown. Thompson rolled Rockwell over and went for the cover, but Rockwell was up at 2. Terkay slapped the hand of Thompson to tag himself into the match and the aggressive, rugged style of the Manbear became to overwhelm The Franchise. After a huge gutwrench suplex, Terkay mounted Rockwell and punched him 5 or 6 times straight in the face. He then grabbed his right arm and locked in what looked to be a D'arce choke, a move we've never seen in the wrestling ring. Rockwell looked to be slipping into unconciousness when John Cena returned the favor, coming into the ring and putting a boot to Terkay to break the hold. Terkay delivered a big belly to belly suplex as Shane Thompson ran around the outside the ring and pulled Cena off the apron by his foot. Cena landed awkwardly and Thompson went for a superkick but that missed and Cena delivered his spinning side suplex on the floor. Cena then got back on the apron, yelling for the tag as the majority of the crowd began to get louder. Rockwell was still in trouble against Terkay until he avoided him charging into the corner and Terkay posted his right shoulder. Rockwell then made it to his corner and dove to the hand of Cena to get the tag. Cena came in like a ball of fire and went to work on Terkay. After some hard right hands, he hit the ropes and connected with a flying shoulder block. After delivering the same spinning sideslam that Thompson fell to, Cena got ready for the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. But when he hit the ropes, Thompson got up to grab his foot. Cena stopped and turned around, kicking Thompson square in the face. Rockwell asked Cena for the tag and got it as Cena left the ring to tend to Thompson. In the ring, Rockwell measured Terkay and when he got up, he delivered the same sit-out spinebuster that he beat him with on the last PrimeTime and just like that night, Rockwell got the 3 count. Match Time: 7:18 Money Mike: "Damn"! Grisham: "Another victory for Jordan Rockwell who may have put his Manbear problem behind him, guys"! MONEY MIKE STOOD FROM THE ANNOUNCE POSITION AND ROCKWELL HADN'T EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED HIM WHEN MIKE's CELL PHONE RANG. Money Mike: "Okay.... yeah, sounds good". MIKE HANGS UP THE PHONE AND PUTS HIS HEADSET BACK ON THE TABLE BEFORE WALKING AROUND THE RING AND UP THE RAMP TO THE BACK. IN THE RING, "SAVE ME" PLAYED AS ROCKWELL AND CENA CELEBRATED THE WIN. HTM: "Where's he going"? Grisham: "It looks like we may have put our Money Mike problem behind us as well"! HTM: "Your Money Mike problem". Grisham: "He insulted you every bit as much as he did me". COMMERCIAL BREAK................... A TRAILER FOR "SEX IN THE CITY 2" IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY A COMMERCIAL FOR COMCAST. RETURN FROM BREAK..... BACKSTAGE..... SHANE McMAHON IS SITTING IN AN OFFICE BACKSTAGE WHEN HE GETS A KNOCK ON THE DOOR. KENNY DOANE WALKS IN LOOKING A LOT DIFFERENT. HE IS WEARING A POLO SHIRT WITH A SWEATSHIRT TIED AROUND HIS NECK AN SUNGLASSES. THE WOMAN IS A PRETTY BLONDE WEARING A PINK SUMMER DRESS. Shane McMahon: "Well, if it isn't Kenny Doane". Ken Doll: "No.... no it isn't. You are looking at Ken Doll and the lovely...... lovely Lacey Von Erich. KEN DOLL GRABS THE RIGHT HAND OF LACEY VON ERICH AND SPINS HER AROUND. So, what is it you wanted to see me for"? Shane McMahon: "Ken Doll? Really? And Lacey, you come from a great wrestling family, but really? Okay, whatever. I have come to the decision to strip you of the Lightheavyweight title and put it into a sixteen man single elimination tournament. You've missed two scheduled title defenses and now..... now I see why". Ken Doll: "What?! What"?! Lacey Von Erich: "Come on, babe, remember, we talked about this? We don't need the lightest weight title". Shane McMahon: "Uh.... that's light heavyweight title". DOLL GRABS LACEY's HAND AND THE TWO OF THEM STORM OUT OF THE OFFICE. BACK IN THE RING, "I WILL BE HEARD" BY HATEBREED IS PLAYING AND THE BOOGEYSAINTS ARE IN THE RING ALONG WITH MONICA, WHO HAS A MICROPHONE. ALL THREE HAVE THEIR TITLE BELTS WRAPPED AROUND THEIR WAISTS. Grisham: "Ken Doll? I really have seen it all now". HTM: "Oh shut up, Grisham, you wouldn't know success if it slapped your Mom in the face and those two.... they're gonna have success". Monica: "We were told a few weeks ago that on Main Event, the BoogeySaints would be defending the Rampage Tag Team titles. Wanna know why we're not..... anyone out there with a brain in their head want to take a guess? THE CROWD BOOS, TRYING TO DROWN MONICA OUT. It's because they can't find a team ready to step up and take the challenge! Yeah, that's right. And we've heard the comments, the criticism.... oh, the BoogeySaints aren't that good, they're just lucky. You are looking at the longest reigning tag team champions in the history of Rampage so go ahead, make jokes..... no one has ever beaten this team! So here is our challenge...... and this is a challenge that will go until we've beaten every team there is to offer. Any team out there, any team there has ever been.... come to Rampage.... get in the ring with the BoogeySaints and you too will find out that this team....... is unbeatable". AT THAT, THE SOUND OF BAGPIPES IS HEARD AND ROWDY RODDY PIPER COMES OUT WITH A MICROPHONE. Rowdy Roddy Piper: "Monica..... I love that idea.... there are so many possibilities there. I mean...... Monica: "What, are you gonna team up with 'Superfly Jimmy Snuka..... or Mister T"? HTM: (laughing) God I hope not". Rowdy Roddy Piper: "Well, as much as I'd like to lace up the boots and find a partner to take those boys on..... I'm actually out here for you. MONICA POINTS TO HERSELF AS THE CROWD CHEERS. See, you happen to be a long time, undefeated champion yourself. So, I have arranged a huge challenge for you on the next Rampage and since you're in the mood to throw out challenges, you should like this one. You will defend the Women's title in a fatal four way match against Kelly.......... Gina Carano....... and Kayla Karter"! THE CROWD CHEERS WHEN MONICA's JAW DROPS AND THE BAGPIPES PLAY AGAIN. HTM: "Don't worry about a thing, Monica! You've got more talent than all three of those girls together"! Grisham: "A huge match made by Rowdy Roddy Piper and you have to wonder who is gonna step up and face The BoogeySaints.... it could literally be any tag team..... well any tag team past or present"! BACKSTAGE........ WALLY WILLSON IS SHOWN IN THE BACK WHEN AN UNIDENTIFIED MAN APPROACHES HIM. Man: "Are you.... Nails"? Wally Willson: "No, I'm his best friend". Man: "Can I get a signature to release this to you"? WILLSON HESITATES BY SIGNS FOR THE MAN WHO THEN HANDS HIM A LARGE ENVELOPE AND WALKS AWAY. WILLSON LOOKS A LITTLE WORRIED. "I AM PERFECTION" BRINGS OUT DOLPH ZIGGLER AS A GRAPHIC IS SHOWN ON THE SCREEN INDICATING THIS WILL BE A WRESTLEMANIA JACKPOT QUALIFYING MATCH. Grisham: "A huge opportunity here for Dolph Ziggler who has a chance to qualify for the coveted WrestleMania Jackpot match". HTM: "Well sitting over on PrimeTime, this is one of the guys on Rampage who I love to watch. How 'bout this, we'll give you Scott Hudson for Dolph Ziggler". Grisham: "Well you'd have to run that by the general manager but I can't see that getting approval". "KENNEDYYYYYY" IS HEARD BRINGING MR. KENNEDY OUT TO A LOUD POP FROM THE CROWD. HTM: "We'd actually give Hudson up for.... well for nothing". Grisham: "Well if Dolph Ziggler is going to qualify for the WrestleMania Jackpot, he will have to do so against a former World champion in Mr. Kennedy who would love to get back into the title picture". HTM: "This should be a great match.... two young, athletic, cocky guys". WrestleMania Jackpot Qualification Match Mr. Kennedy vs. Dolph Ziggler Right as Kennedy got into the ring, Ziggler rocked him with 2 quick right hands before running the ropes but Kennedy met him with a spin kick to the abdomen. After a swinging neckbreaker, Kennedy got down and hammered Ziggler with right hand after right hand. He then pulled him up and whipped him to the ropes for a backbody drop. Kennedy got Ziggler to his feet and Ziggler was already in trouble as Kennedy flung him into the corner. He then charged in and leaped into the air but Ziggler caught him and dropped him face first on the steel ringpost. Both men fell to the mat but Kennedy was seeing stars. Ziggler got up and jumped on Kennedy from behind when he stood up, sinking in a sleeper hold. Kennedy began to flail around, trying to get free but he couldn't do it as Ziggler had the hold in deep. Referee Jose Mendez moved in to check the arms and after the right arm of Kennedy dropped lifelessly two times, he asked for the bell to stop the match. Match Time: 2:01 Grisham: "What a change this match took! Just like that, Ziggler is in the winner's circle and heading to the WrestleMania Jackpot"! HTM: "Kennedy was all over him but a tremendous recovery by Ziggler and he is heading to the big stage of WrestleMania"! Grisham: "Wait, it looks like we're being joined again". As Ziggler celebrated his victory in the ring, a camera catches Carney come running down and quickly slide into to the ring and when Ziggler went to turn to exit the ring he was caught with a quick kick to the stomach and picked up with a modified pedigree in to a cliffhanger and then dropped with a devastating brainbuster. Carney then goes over to a still fallen Kennedy and picks him up by the head and hits him with the same move that just laid out Ziggler. Carney then stands in the middle of the ring admiring the damage that he had just caused and then asks for the mic. Grisham: "What the hell is going on tonight?! Carney is on a rampage.... no pun intended"! Carney: "You know a couple of months ago, I spoke of that certain company that was being talked about in the back that management didn't want anyone talking about, and I said if I didn't start getting the push that I deserved that I was out. Well afterwards, I was called into the TWF office where management basically laughed it all off and laughed at me. So I got on the phone and made a little phone call. I found out out that the offer was still on the table. So the reason I am out here tonight... (looks to the camera) is to tell you TWF.... (gives a quick giggle) I quit"! Carney just drops the mic and slowly exits the ring as the fans are left in shock. HTM: "He quits? Well, I didn't see that coming". Grisham: "I don't think anyone did.... look at this crowd". HTM: "It was weird, in all my time on PrimeTime, I've never seen Carney like that". COMMERCIAL BREAK............ COMMERCIALS FOR THE GILLETE FUSION RAZOR AND THE DROID FROM VERIZON ARE SHOWN. RETURN FROM BREAK...... RINGSIDE...... 6 Man Tag The Second City Saints and Richard Ramsley vs. Chaos Wolf, Damion West and Chris Tirpak When Main Event returns from break, we pick up the six man tag team match already underway. CM Punk, Colt Cabana and Ramsley looked very comfortable teaming together while the trio of Wolf, West and Tirpak seemed to have some infighting going on. Cabana was in the ring with West and after getting West to the mat, he really gave him problems, coming up with a couple of near falls by rolling him into pins. After getting West in a chicken wing, Cabana tried to suplex him over but West blocked it and came up with a great counter into a hip toss. Cabana hurriedly got to his feet but West was waiting with his big superkick! The fans popped thinking the match was over quickly but Punk came in to prevent a three count. West made the tag to Tirpak who came in and got Cabana onto his shoulders and drove him into the mat with a running powerslam. He then demanded that Ramsley get into the match, even though Wolf and West pointed out that he had a man in trouble in the ring. Cabana made his way to the corner and got the tag to Ramsley who came in and began to trade shots with Tirpak. Tirpak was actually winning the battle until Ramsley ducked a big swing and poked him in the eye. After using the middle ring rope to choke Tirpak, the demented Ramsley then began to pull at the eyes of Tirpak, something we saw on the last Rampage. Referee Charles Robinson warned Ramsley to stop, but he seemed to refuse, finally letting go at the last possible second. Tirpak got up, obviously having some vision problems, and he walked right into a huge DDT from Ramsley that appeared to end the match. But when he went for a cover, Chaos Wolf came in to prevent the 3 count. After spitting in the direction of both Wolf and West, Ramsley dragged Tirpak to the corner by his feet and made the tag to Punk. As Ramsley held Tirpak down, Punk launched himself into the ring from the apron, dropping a big elbow across the chest of Tirpak. Punk kept the pressure on Tirpak, not letting him get back a vertical base by kicking him several times in the head and body. Finally, Punk waited for him to get up, rocking him with 2 round kicks when he did. But when Punk went for a spinning backhand, Tirpak avoided it and picked him up in position for the "Light's Out". Punk fought free, elbowing Tirpak 3 times in the side of the head before hitting the ropes but he ran right into a nasty spinebuster from Tirpak. With both men down, the crowd encouraged Tirpak to get to his corner. He made it, slapping the hand of Chaos Wolf who came in with a clothesline for Punk and right hands for both Cabana and Ramsley. But after getting knocked to the floor, Cabana went and ripped one of the tag team belts away from the timekeeper. After putting Punk down with a belly to belly suplex, Wolf got him up and ran the ropes but Cabana got back on the apron and hit him in the back of the head with the belt, completely undetected by Robinson. Wolf then fell into the clutches of Punk who got him up onto his shoulders and delivered the "GTS". Wolf was out and Ramsley came into the ring with Cabana to prevent the count from being broken up. 1.......2........3, this one was over. Match Time: 10:15 Grisham: "CM Punk has turned the lights out for Chaos Wolf, no pun intended". "THIS FIRE BURNS" PLAYED AS PUNK, CABANA AND RAMSLEY LEFT THE RING TO NOTHING BUT BOOS. HTM: "And it all started to go downhill after Tirpak let Cabana tag out, wanting so bad to get his hands on Ramsley. How'd that work out for him"? Grisham: "I think it's bigger for the Second City Saints..... they have been lobbying for a tag team title shot ya know? They may have a case now". BACKSTAGE....... SEBASTIAN CAIN IS SHOWN IN A QUIET PART OF THE BACKSTAGE AREA, READING A BOOK WHEN MUHAMMAD HASSAN WALKS UP. Muhammad Hassan: "Hey, whatcha readin'". CAIN ABRUPTLY CLOSES THE BOOK. Sebastian Cain: "Uh.... nothin'". Muhammad Hassan: "Look man, I need to know what all of your trust issues are about. I mean, I know I don't have the best track record, but I was unfairly judged because of the fact that I'm Arab-American. Would it be fair for me to call you a murderer? You did have that whole traffic accident thing". Sebastian Cain: "Right, but that's....... Muhammad Hassan: "That's what, different? The fans allowed you to show that you were a different person, a changed man. Why am I not getting that chance? I need at least one ally around here........ HASSAN STANDS UP AND WALKS AWAY AS CAIN JUST WATCHES. "WHERE I WANNA BE" BY THE VEER UNION COMES ON AND M.X. OGDEN COMES OUT TO A PRETTY GOOD REACTION. BILL CUTTING IS SHOWN WAITING IN THE RING. Grisham: "Switching gears here for a minute, here comes M.X. Ogden who up until the Royal Rumble, was competing as Jaden Core and nobody around here knew it. We all thought Ogden was ancient history"! HTM: "It was a well disguised plan but Ogden but I believe Jason Oliver has one of those tonight because regardless of what Bill Cutting told Ogden, Oliver is in the building tonight". Grisham: "A match between Ogden and Oliver, the co-founders of GeNext, has been made for WrestleMania but first, Ogden has to get through Bill Cutting here tonight". M.X. Ogden vs. Bill Cutting The bell sounded and Cutting came right at Ogden, showing he really wanted to make an impact. But after taking two hard right hands, Ogden blocked a third and grabbed the left arm of Cutting, twisting it around before just pulling at it as hard as he could. Cutting hit the mat, screaming in agony as Ogden went to work on that arm. Cutting was finally able to get to his feet but he was essentially a one armed man. After avoided a wild right hand, Ogden scored with a jumping knee right on the chin. Ogden was cruising, almost toying with Cutting before going to the top rope and flying off with a kneedrop but Cutting rolled out of the way. Ogden crashed to the mat and Cutting saw his opportunity. Seemingly blocking out the pain, Cutting went right at Ogden, hitting him with rights and lefts and kicks to the body. He then delivered a wicked swinging neckbreaker and went for the cover, but Ogden was up at 2. Cutting decided to take a chance. Never known for his high flying, he went to the top rope and jumped off. But Ogden recovered and cracked him with a roundhouse kick to the face right out of mid air! Cutting hit the mat hard and Ogden covered him, hooking both legs to get the 3 count. Match Time: 6:09 "WHERE I WANNA BE" CAME ON AGAIN BUT ONLY PLAYED FOR A FEW SECONDS BEFORE OLIVER WAS ATTACKED FROM BEHIND BY JASON OLIVER. Grisham: "Oh look out..... Jason Oliver has hit the ring"! OLIVER HAD SOME KIND OF LEAD PIPE OR SOMETHING IN HIS HAND AND HE ASKED FOR A MICROPHONE. Jason Oliver (out of breath): "The worst thing about all that stuff you said on Rampage..... is that all the gullible idiots watching around the world probably believed it! Ogden, you are so green with envy it's not even funny! Jealousy..... that's why you "left" the TWF and hid under a mask.... planning to come back here and make it look like it was all my fault. See, I got to the pinnacle of this business..... something you have not done and wil never do. So how dare you try and make me look like the bad guy..... how dare you try and make it look like I was the one holding you back? The only one who has ever held M.X. Ogden back..... is you"! OLIVER THROWS THE MICROPHONE ASIDE AND PICKS OGDEN UP BEFORE DELIVERING THE "CLAYMORE". "FLY FROM THE INSIDE" BY SHINEDOWN PLAYS AS OLIVER STANDS OVER OGDEN LOOKING DOWN. Grisham: "Wow.... could this situation get any more intense.... any more personal"? HTM: "We've got some time before WrestleMania, Todd and if you ask me..... it probably will". COMMERCIAL BREAK................... A PROMO FOR WRESTLEMANIA 11 IS SHOWN, THE SAME VIDEO THAT HAS BEEN CIRCULATING ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND TELEVISION. IT ENDS WITH A VOICE SAYING "I AM NOT AFRAID". THAT IS FOLLOWED BY AN NBC PROGRAMMING AD FOR THE 2010 NHL PLAYOFFS. RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE..... The driving bass of "The Next Episode" shakes the American Airlines Arena as Matt Cruz makes his way out to the arena. He is sporting a Dwayne Wade Miami Heat jersey. Maria is conspicuous by her absence as Cruz makes the sojourn to the ring alone. Grisham: "We are back on Main Event and here comes the 2010 Royal Rumble winner".
(grabbing a mic as he soaks in the cheers) Cruz: "Bienvenido a Miami, que no? (crowd pops) I know what you're going to ask, am I really shamelessly sucking up to the crowd by rocking the D-Wade jersey and making with the cheap pop? You betcha! (crowd pops again) I could've rocked a Brandon Marshall Dolphins jersey, but he's dead to me, the damn traitor! (slight boos from the crowd while Cruz smiles and laughs.) Had to go there. Now, onto business. You may be wondering why Maria is not with me right now, but there's a reason for that. CJ Lethal grew a pair and decided to try me and I served him a nice beat down burger well done for his troubles when he tapped like a dancer on Rampage. Now he made the mistake of going after my girl first. To anyone who wants to get all brody and try the same strategy, I got a piece of advice for you..... Don't. Unless you don't want to be able walk straight for a week, up to you. Nonetheless, that's why she decided to stay in the back. Lethal interrupted me when I was about to make a big announcement on Rampage. I don't think even he's dense enough to try it again. I think it's about time for me to let the whole world in on who I'm going to challenge at WrestleMania in Houston and I couldn't think of a better place to do it than right here on Main Event! (the crowd cheers loudly at this)
Right as Cruz took his breath to let out the answer, Rob Storm and Lance Cade hit the ring out of nowhere and they are both all over Cruz. Cruz does his best to fight them off but 2 on 1 is just too much for Cruz to overcome. Cade and Storm leave him laying in the ring as the crowd boos. Grisham: "It looks like Maria stayed in the back for good reason tonight! What the heck are these two doing out here"?! Cruz gets up and grabs the microphone he had. Matt Cruz: "Is that all you two got?! On the next Rampage..... I'll fight either one of you.... no check that..... I'll fight both of you"! "THE NEXT EPISODE" PLAYS AGAIN AND STORM AND CADE SEEM TO LIKE THE HASTY DECISION MADE BY CRUZ. HTM: "I don't know about that choice by Cruz..... if he keeps this up, he may not make it to WrestleMania"! AS CRUZ LEAVES THE RING, CSI: MIAMI's DAVID CARUSO COMES INTO THE RING FOR A GUEST ANNOUNCER APPEARANCE. Grisham: "Look, it's David Caruso from CSI: Miami"! HTM: "Well we heard he was gonna be here". David Caruso: "Is everybody having a good time tonight?! THE CROWD CHEERS Alright, that's awesome. Are you guys ready for the TWF World title match? THE CROWD AGAIN CHEERS BUT FROM THE BACK COMES PJ CASH, MAKING HIS WAY TO THE RING. CASH COMES IN AND CARUSO STILL DOESN'T SEE HIM. WHEN HE DOES, A "CASH REGISTER" PUTS HIM DOWN! THE CROWD BOOS AS CASH GRABS THE MICROPHONE CARUSO WAS USING. PJ Cash: "I'm gonna make this short and sweet. In the entire time I've been in the TWF, I have never gotten what I deserve! For some reason, this company wants to hold me down..... most likely intimidated by my intelligence and wealth! I'm the PrimeTime Prodigy for God sake and I know all of you remember that when I came in, I was a millionaire at the age of twenty one. So do you think I need this?! Do you think I need to put up with the total disrespect I'm shown by the TWF office and by all of you people that come to these shows?! Well...... I don't! This is the last you'll see....... of PJ Cash". CASH DROPS THE MICROPHONE AND SLOWLY WALKS AWAY AS A CHANT OF "NAH NAH NAH, NAH NAH NAH, HEY HEY HEY, GOODBYE" STARTS AND SLOWLY GROWS VERY LOUD. BEFORE GOING TO THE BACK, CASH TURNS AND TAKES ONE LAST LOOK AT THE CROWD AND THE RING BEFORE DISAPPEARING. Grisham: "I can't imagine what else is gonna happen tonight"! HTM: "We still have two huge title matches"! COMMERCIAL BREAK........... A COMMERCIAL FOR DR. PEPPER IS SHOWN FOLLOWED BY ONE FOR PURINA DOG CHOW. WHEN MAIN EVENT RETURNS, EZEKIEL JACKSON's MUSIC COMES ON AND HE COMES OUT TO A QUIET RESPONSE, CONFIDENTLY MARCHING DOWN THE ENTRY RAMP. Grisham: "We are back here on the Main Event and it is time for the World title match but what an incredibly crazy night it's already been, Honky Tonk Man". HTM: "We've seen it all here tonight..... people being attacked from behind, people coming out of the crowd..... and two people quitting, just walking out on the TWF"! Grisham: "We also saw a surprise appearance from none other than Money Mike but right now, here comes the Mountain of Muscle known as Ezekiel Jackson and what a huge opportunity for him tonight". "VOICES" STARTS UP AND BOOS SOON FOLLOW AS RANDY ORTON COMES OUT WITH THE WORLD TITLE AROUND HIS WAIST. MAKING HIS WAY TO THE RING, ORTON DOES NOT SEEM INTIMIDATED. HTM: "Randy Orton threw out a challenge to anyone he hasn't already beaten and Ezekiel Jackson accepted it within a matter of moments"! Grisham: "Jackson is very confident and rightfully so. This will easily be one of the biggest challenges Randy Orton has faced". TWF World Title Match Challenger: Ezekiel Jackson vs. Randy Orton Jackson got a quick look at the belt in the hands of referee Jim Korderas before turning his focus right to Orton. Jackson moved in, trying to corner the champion but Orton slipped free and tagged Jackson with 2 quick right hands. Orton then went to the legs before running the ropes. Jackson threw a big clothesline that missed badly and Orton tried to grab him for the "RKO" but Jackson lifted him up and threw him over the top rope to the floor! Orton landed very hard and Jackson was suddenly in complete control. After leaving the ring, Jackson blasted Orton with a clothesline. Korderas was counting and Jackson picked Orton up, running his back into the steel ring post. He then picked him up and rolled him into the ring, following him in. Sensing a huge chance, Jackson picked Orton up with a gorilla press, slamming him hard to the mat. He went for the cover but Orton kicked out after 2. Jackson kept the punishment coming, battering Orton with his tremendous strength and size. But after nearly 5 minutes of control, Jackson swung Orton into the corner and ran in but Orton met him with 2 feet to the face. He then came out swinging, rocking the big man with right hands before running the ropes and trying a crossbody. But Jackson caught him in mid air and dropped him across his knee with a backbreaker. Jackson then got in position, yelling "Get up"! When Orton did, he tried to deliver the "Book of Ezekiel" but Orton slithered out of his clutches. After ducking a clothesline, Orton found the mark with a beautiful dropkick. He followed that with 2 stiff European uppercuts before trying an irish whip that was reversed. But Jackson dropped his head early and Orton made him pay with a kick to the face. He then threw a clothesline but Jackson grabbed his arm and pushed him back, kicking him square in the mouth. Now Jackson seemed just moments away from a monstrous victory. Jackson grabbed Orton with both hands around his head but out of nowhere, Orton hit the "RKO" to the disbelief of everyone watching. Caught totally off guard, Jackson was pinned and Orton retained the gold. Match Time: 9:25 HTM: "He got him..... the beat keeps going on for Randy Orton"! Grisham: "Randy Orton has survived a huge challenge, in more ways than one, putting down the Guyanese Goliath with the RKO"! "VOICES" PLAYED AGAIN AS ORTON GRABBED THE BELT FROM KORDERAS AND LEFT THE RING, SHOWING THE EFFECTS OF THE HARD FOUGHT MATCH. HTM: "What's gonna happen when Orton beats everyone?! He's well on his way to doing just that"! BACKSTAGE..... THE SHOT RUSHES TO THE BACK WHERE A CAMERA IS FURIOUSLY FOLLOWING JOE COREY, WHO HAS A STEEL CHAIR. Joe Corey: "This way.... come on! Cena's dressing room is right here". COREY COMES UP AND STOPS AT A DRESSING ROOM DOOR. AFTER KNOCKING, HE GETS THE CHAIR READY. Cameraman: "Are you sure this is Cena's room.... cause I saw Cena...... Corey: "Shhhhhh........ idiot". MOMENTS LATER, PJ CASH EMERGES FROM THE ROOM, A DUFFEL BAG SLUNG OVER HIS SHOULDER. COREY LOWERS THE CHAIR. PJ Cash: "Wow, way to make an impact............. CASH SHAKES HIS HEAD AND WALKS AWAY, LEAVING COREY VERY FRUSTRATED. THE LIGHTS IN THE ARENA GO OUT AND "MI DESTROYERO" COMES ON AS ARIEL LEADS KEVIN THORN OUT TO NOTHING BUT BOOS. Grisham: "And what a way to close out one of the busiest nights in TWF history...... this will be a First Blood match for the Universal title"! HTM: "Thorn is thirsty... if you know what I mean, thirsty to get that belt back from the man he lost it to, lost it to unfairly I might add". "LEFT BEHIND" BY SLIPKNOT COMES ON AND NAILS STEPS OUT FROM THE BACK ALONG WITH WALLY WILLSON. NAILS HAS THE UNIVERSAL TITLE BELT DANGLING FROM HIS RIGHT HAND. Grisham: "Speculation has to be running rampant about what those papers were that Wally Willson signed for earlier tonight but Nails seems ready to go here". HTM: "What I want to know is how that hockey mask is going to be fair in this match. It's another unfair advantage.... how is Thorn supposed to make him bleed"? Grisham: "Hey, if you remember correctly, it was Ariel who issued the challenge for a First Blood match". First Blood/TWF Universal Title Match Challenger: Kevin Thorn w/ Ariel vs. Nails w/ Wally Willson Right when the match started, Thorn reached into his boot and pulled out a small metal object, striking Nails across the body several times. Nails did his best to defend himself but Thorn was very aggressive with the object. Finally, he took the weapon and jammed it into his esophagus area. Willson got up on the apron and Thorn took a violent swing but missed him. Thorn went back to Nails, stomping on his back several times. He then asked Ariel for a chair and he got it, folding it over. When Nails got to his feet, Thorn raised it above his head but before he could take a shot, Nails kicked him in the gut and rocked him with a right hand. After dropping the chair, Thorn fell victim to a big headbutt. Nails then took the chair and drove it into his midsection when he stood up before clotheslining him over the top rope. Nails yelled for Ariel to get out of his way as he followed Thorn to the floor, grabbing the long electrical cord coming from some of the tv equipment. But Gangrel and Drusus came running down the ramp, attacking the champion from behind. Nails tried to fight them off but Thorn came from behind and then threw him into the steel ringpost. Thorn told referee Mike Chioda that he should force Nails to remove his mask to check if he was bleeding, but the fight went on. Thorn got back into the ring but Willson came around with the fire poker which he pulled from under the apron, obviously planted earlier in the night. But Ariel hit Willson from behind and the Requiem started to assault him! Nails grabbed the chair he used earlier and smashed both Gangrel and Drusus across the back, dropping both men. He then slid back into the ring but Thorn was waiting with more boots before driving him into the mat with a DDT. Thorn had a devilish look in his eyes as he pulled Nails up by the hair and set him up for his Crucifix Powerbomb. But Nails was able to get his feet to the ropes to help escape before picking Thorn up and delivering a devastating version of the Nail Gun. Looking like a man possessed, Nails reached into his back pocket and pulled out a pair of brass knuckles as the crowd went berserk. He then got atop Thorn and with the knucks on his right hand, just unloaded on him relentlessly, 9 or 10 times before Chioda pulled Nails off and called for the bell. HTM: "What..... what happened"?! Grisham: "Thorn is busted wide open! Nails has won it"! A CAMERA REVEALED THAT THORN HAD BEEN BUSTED OPEN PRETTY BADLY AS "LEFT BEHIND" CAME ON AGAIN. HTM: "Oh my.......... gosh.... there's blood everywhere"! Grisham: "Kevin Thorn is flowing like the red sea out here in Miami.... but it doesn't appear to be reason to celebrate for the hockey masked freak"! NAILS AND WILLSON WALKED AWAY WITH EACH OTHER BUT NAILS HAD HIS HEAD DOWN AS HE CARRIED OUT HIS TITLE, LOOKING VERY DESPONDENT BEHIND HIS MASK. HTM: "You just retained the title ya big dummy"! Grisham: "Folks we are out of time here on NBC..... we hope you've enjoyed Main Event"! OFF AIR.........
