SMW Aggression III: Stars and Stripes Forever

SMW Aggression III begins with Al Snow in the ring in front of 1,860 fans.

Al Snow: "Tonight, we pay tribute to the families affected by the attacks on September 11, 2001. Tonight we pay tribute to the men and women protecting us around the world. This show will air nearly one year after September 11, 2001. All I can say is GOD BLESS AMERICA! But I know someone that can express those words better. Please welcome, along with the Patriot, Tim McGraw.

Tim McGraw performs a stirring version of "God Bless America". Afterwards he is showered with a loud applause and chants of USA, USA, USA.

Monty Brown vs. Lance Cade

Dan Wilson: "Lance Cade is seeking revenge in this contest. It was at Aggression II where Monty Brown caused Cade to lose to Rip Rogers."

Cade took the fight to The Alpha Male immediately with an intense attack of kicks and punches. However, Cade could not bring Brown to the mat. Eventually, Lance would miss with a dropkick, allowing Monty Brown to recover. As Cade returned to his feet, Brown prepared for a spear. As he charged his opponent, Cade side stepped him and Brown crashed shoulder first into the ring post. Brown then turned into a superkick and finally fell to the mat. Cade went for the pin but Brown kicked out. Cade's next option was to use a top rope move. However, Brown caught him and used his Alpha Bomb to get the victory.

Interviewer: "I am standing with Keiji Sakoda. Tonight, he faces The Patriot in a flag match. I was told you have a message for the fans."

The fans begin to boo and then chant USA, USA.

Keiji Sakoda: "Patriot, my issue is not with your country, my problem is with you! The way I see it, the only way to get to you, is through this flag. Tonight, I prove that I am better than you. Tonight, I will gain rightful ownership of this flag."

Interviewer: "Your plans sound very benign, but what are you planning to do with that gasoline tank and those matches?"

Sakoda: "HAHAHAHAHAHA" (Sakoda walks away laughing.)

Six Man Tag Team Match

Rob Conway, Nick Dinsmore & RC Haas vs. Lenny Lane, Ron Waterman & Damian Steele

This was a typical six man tag team match. It had a normal pace in the beginning but ended with high intensity action. While all six men battled, it appeared as if Lane would get the victory. Waterman hit Haas with a belly to back suplex and while holding him on the mat, Lane came crashing down from the top rope. However, Conway broke up the pin attempt. The former tag team champions would gain an advantage and finish off Damian Steele with a classic "Hart Attack" clothesline.

Wilson: "The former tag team champions looked extremely sharp. The finisher they used will only continue the comparisons between this team and The Hart Foundation. Fans take a look at this video."

A video clip is shown featuring Rip Rogers' two victories.

Rip Rogers: "Hi. I am the man of 1000 Victories Rip Rogers. Today I am going to demonstrate one of the wrestling holds that has made me famous, the camel clutch. Come on in Jimmy. Jimmy is a young competitor eager to learn from me."

Rogers explains how to slap on the camel clutch and Jimmy begins to scream from the pain. After approximately ten seconds, he lets go.

Rogers: "So there you have it. Fans keep watching me in the ring and my tutorials and someday even you can have as many wins as "The Man of 1000 Victories".

Wilson: "The Man of 1000 Victories"? Give me a break! I don't even wrestle and I am only two wins away from Rip's career win total."

Bull Buchanan vs. Paul Diamond

If it was possible for Bull Buchanan to show even more improvement since the first Aggression, he did it. He also continued his struggle with the SMW trainers. Diamond tried to shut down Buchanan's offense but he was stunned by a clothesline from Bull Buchanan followed by a top rope leg drop for the 1, 2, 3.

Al Snow is confronted by Monty Brown

Snow: "Monty, congratulations on the win. Slowly but surely you will climb the ladder in SMW."

Monty Brown: "Climb the ladder? Hell I am already the top rung. I am the measuring stick. I am the Alpha Male and I am whatever I say I am. I am demanding a title shot at the next show."

Snow: "Sorry Monty, you are not ready for that yet."

Al Snow attempts to walk away but Monty Brown grabs his arm and gets in his face.

Brown: "I guess I'll just have to get involved in tonight's title match."

Steel Cage Match Johnny Swinger & Simon Diamond vs. Mike Sanders & Mark Jindrak

The object of this match was for both members of a team to escape the cage. This was the third meeting between these two teams and the first with a winning team. The early advantage went to Swinger and Diamond, allowing Diamond to leave the cage. All Swinger had to do was get out of the cage to win but Sanders and Jindrak took advantage of the handicap situation to double team Swinger. Diamond had no choice but to re-enter the cage to even the sides. Diamond took on both men while Swinger left the cage through the door, but this time he pulled Jindrak out with him. The battle continued inside and outside the cage. Once Jindrak was able to send Swinger face first into the cage, he re-entered the ring and hit Diamond from behind. It looked like Sanders and Jindrak were on their way to victory but Swinger came out of nowhere and slammed the cage door on Sanders. He entered the cage and walloped Jindrak with a chair. Both Diamond and Swinger were able to walk out of the cage door to win the match.

Interviewer: "I am standing here with a flagless Patriot. Everyone heard what Keiji Sakoda had to say. Any comments"?

Patriot: "Keiji Sakoda, you say you have no problem with my country, but if you have possession of my flag, every red blooded American has a problem with you. Patrick Henry once said 'Give me liberty or give me death.' Tonight I say, 'Give me liberty and give Keiji Sakoda death.'"

Loki vs. Essa Rios

Wilson: "Essa Rios was the man who saved Shannon Moore from a brutal attack by Loki at the first SMW Aggression. Right now, these two men will attempt to settle the score."

The 1,860 fans were quiet during this match but not because of a lack of action. The fans respected the ability of these two men. The match started with both men feeling each other out. The feeling out process ended when Loki was able to put Rios in a surfboard. Loki then let go and stunned him with a kick to the back. Rios would recover and throw Loki to the outside followed by a suicide dive which sent both men crashing to the concrete. Both men rolled into the ring before the ten count. Once Rios had Loki on the mat, he climbed to the top rope to attempt a moonsault. Loki moved out of the way but was still in pain from earlier action. Both men regained their feet but Loki took out Rios by repeatedly kicking at his ankle followed by a dropkick. Loki ended the match by using a shining wizard for the first time to get the win.

Tag Team Title Match

Dave Taylor & Fit Finley vs. Maven & Michael Modest

Taylor and Maven began this match with Maven getting the upper hand based on his speed advantage. Taylor and Finley looked impressed but certainly not intimidated. Modest and Maven were new as a team and did not tag nearly enough to be effective. Soon enough Taylor was able to wear down Maven. A failed attempt at a knee drop allowed Maven to tag Modest. Modest took on both men and seemed to be ready to finish off Finley. Unfortunately, Maven made an inadvertent tag. As Maven stepped through the ropes, Taylor hit him with a running elbow and Maven then walked into Finley's tombstone piledriver for the 1, 2, 3.

SMW Title Match

Christopher Daniels vs. Shannon Moore

Ring announcer: "Please welcome the special referee, Commissioner Al Snow.

Wilson: "A brilliant move by Al Snow. Monty Brown made a threat to interfere in this match and if anyone can stop The Alpha Male, it is Al Snow."

Shannon Moore and Christopher Daniels, two of SMW's top stars went at it for the title and produced a fantastic match. Moore took Daniels down first with an arm drag and then a dropkick. Daniels countered with a hiptoss and a hurracanrana. The Fallen Angel went for an early pin but Moore easily kicked out. While Daniels argued with Al Snow, Sensational Shannon leaped off the middle of the top rope onto Daniels and got a quick two count. Moore then attempted a cross body block while Daniels was near the ropes. The champion ducked the move and Moore's leg ended up tangled in the ropes. Daniels went to work on the tangled leg, kicking it repeatedly followed by unexplained biting. Daniels freed Moore from the ropes and immediately slapped on another finishing hold in his arsenal, the Texas Clover Leaf. As the move was applied, Monty Brown came down distracting Al Snow. Christopher Daniels, expecting an attack by Brown, broke the hold. The Alpha Male then began his attack on Al Snow. He sent him crashing to the mat with an Alpha Bomb. Without attacking Moore or Daniels, Monty Brown left the ring. Moore rolled up Daniels for a pin but no one was there to count it. The battle continued until Daniels hit Moore with a DDT. He covered him and Snow slowly counted the 1...2...3.

Wilson: "What a great effort by Shannon Moore! But clearly, Christopher Daniels is red hot in the ring. Speaking of red, that color along with white and blue are on the line in the main event up next."

Flag Match

Patriot vs. Keiji Sakoda

This is what Stars and Stripes Forever was all about. The object of this match was to retrieve the American flag by climbing the pole attached to one of the ring posts. The fans were behind the Patriot from the very beginning. Sakoda had a lot to fight for also and he was the first to climb the pole after a neckbreaker. However, Patriot was right behind him, suplexing him back down to the mat. Sakoda would regain the upper hand again by hitting a brain buster and then a shoulder breaker. He climbed the ropes and reached for the flag but Patriot grabbed his leg and climbed up with Sakoda. Keiji Sakoda would eventually lose his balance and fall to the mat again. Patriot could have easily grabbed the flag but he turned around for an attempted Patriot Missile, which did not find the mark. Sakoda slowly walked toward the flag but was intercepted by Patriot, who hit him with an Atomic Bomb (similar to Bubba Ray Dudley's Bubba Bomb). Patriot climbed the pole and grabbed the flag.

Wilson: "The Patriot wins! America wins! The Patriot just sent these fans on a fifteen minute trip to bedlam. What a way to end Stars and Stripes Forever"!

The Patriot waves the flag as Stars and Stripes Forever plays and the fans chant "USA, USA, USA".
