SMW Holiday Hell

Nashville, Tennessee

December 12, 2002

Dan Wilson: "Hello everyone and welcome to Holiday Hell. Every member of the SMW roster is here tonight hoping to go to the Royal Rumble. But that's not all, scores will be settled and perhaps new rivalries will be started. We are excited that tonight we have broken an SMW attendance record with 2,989 fans. Believe me, no one will be going home disappointed. Now lets go to the ring for our opening contest."

Tag Team Title Match

Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger vs. Vicious and Malicious

The top two tag teams in SMW set the pace for an explosive night. After what happened between these teams at Special Edition, the tension was high. Once the bell rang, the feeling out process began. Ron Waterman was able to over power Johnny Swinger early on. In fact, he even suplexed Swinger across the ring. Swinger immediately tagged Diamond. Diamond is also known for his suplexes, especially the Simon Series. Simon was able to double over Waterman with a knee to the gut. He immediately went for the Simon Series. He got one suplex in and then Waterman blocked the next one with two consecutive suplexes of his own. Simon Diamond looked stunned. He remained in the ring and Waterman tagged in "The Real Deal" Damian Steele. Steele came at him but Diamond countered with a drop toe hold and applied a side headlock. Swinger tagged in and took control by body slamming Steele and dropping down with a headbutt. Simon and Swinger continued their quick tags and wore down Steele. Swinger felt that he was ready for the Swing Thing and locked it in but Steele lifted him and carried him across the ring to his corner. He tagged Waterman but the ref missed it after Diamond entered the ring. Once again, Swinger went for the neckbreaker. As he went for it, Steele spun around, grabbed him and hit a DDT. He crawled to the corner and tagged Waterman. He came in and cleaned house. Swinger went to the outside to get the belt to use but when he came back in, Steele took him down. Diamond and Waterman slugged it out, this time Simon Diamond got the better of it. He attempted another Simon Series and got two consecutive vertical suplexes. On the third, he lifted Waterman up and nailed him with the Simonizer. He pinned Waterman and Swinger held onto Steele so he could not interfere. Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger became the new SMW tag team champions.

Wilson: "We've got new champions! Simon and Swinger came back from adversity and beat what I consider to be two top notch talents. Congratulations to the new champs. I look forward to a future rematch. Well we're set for our next match. Actually wait a minute, take a look at this. It's Santa Claus!"

Santa Claus is shown making his way to the ringside area. He is shaking hands and giving candy to the children at ringside. Then a voice is heard over the sound system.

Voice: "Excuse me! Excuse me!"

Rip Rogers comes out and calls for the jolly fat man to get in the ring.

Rogers: "What's your deal Santa? It's not Christmas yet. I think you're here to make Rip Rogers look bad. And well, you didn't give me candy."

Santa Claus: "HOHOHO! That's because you're not a good boy."

Rogers: "That's it fat man. I never liked you anyway. How about you and me in a match right here, right now?"

Dan Wilson: "Did he just challenge Santa Claus? He's not a wrestler. Hell, he's not even Santa Claus."

Santa Claus nods and the impromptu match is about to begin.

Rip Rogers vs. Santa Claus

Rip Rogers turns around and says to the crowd, "This is going to be easy." When he turns around, Santa hits him with a superkick. He went for the pin and got the 1, 2, 3!

Dan Wilson: "Santa beats Rip Rogers with a superkick. I've never seen anything like this."

Santa Claus pulls off the hat and beard revealing Lance Rogers. He grabs a microphone.

Lance Rogers: "The winner of the match, Lance...CAAAAADE!"

The fans roar with approval.

Dan Wilson: "Yes, Yes, Yes! Finally, Lance Cade puts Rip Rogers in his place! Our next match is a major grudge match. Lets take a look at the events that led up to this match.

A video is shown featuring Guido Maritato and Shannon Moore.

Shannon Moore vs. Guido Maritato

Shannon Moore's entrance brought the crowd to their feet, but they began to boo as Guido Maritato came out to attack Moore from behind in the aisle. The fight was on as the two expressed their hatred for each other with punches and kicks and every other type of brawling tactic imaginable. Eventually, they made it to ringside, but the war continued on the outside. First Guido hit the guard rail. Shannon Moore climbed on to the apron and jumped off. Maritato moved out of the way and Moore also crashed into the barrier. It was obvious that this battle was taking a lot out of both men. Shannon Moore was especially out of his domain of high flying maneuvers. Maritato grabbed a wire from the floor and choked him while the referee tried to get them inside. Moore's escape came after a thumb to the eye. He then pushed Maritato into the ring post. Shannon Moore grabbed a chair. He set it up, backed up and jumped off the chair onto Guido. He tried again but this time Guido pulled the camera man into the way. The Sensational One nailed the camera man with a flying forearm. As the replay was shown from the cameraman's view, Maritato finally rolled Moore into the ring. Maritato focused on the neck of Shannon Moore. First he used a neckbreaker and then a legdrop to the back of the head. It was clear that Guido was setting up for the Sicilian Slice. Guido lifted Shannon Moore up but Shannon could not stand and he fell back to the mat. Guido lifted him up again. This time, out of nowhere Moore hooked his leg and got a small package for a two count. This made Guido furious. He kicked Moore over and over. He lifted him up and sent him to the corner. Moore leaped up and jumped off the top rope with a corkscrew body splash, shades of his tag team partner Essa Rios. He went for the pin but Guido kicked out. Moore looked flustered as he climbed the ropes again. As Guido got to his feet, Moore lost his footing and fell onto the turnbuckle. Maritato went to the outside and climbed the same corner of the ring that Moore was on. He leaped up and nailed a Sicilian Slice that sent Moore straight into the mat. He went for the pin and Moore got a foot on the rope. Guido argued with the referee about a slow count. As he argued Shannon Moore got up and hit Guido with a spin kick. Once again, he climbed the ropes to hit a blockbuster, which was perfectly executed. However, both men laid motionless on the mat. Surprisingly Guido was the first to move. He shifted an arm on to Shannon Moore. As the referee's arm came down for the three count, Moore kicked out. Moore then moved an arm on top of Guido Maritato for the 1, 2, 3.

Dan Wilson: "These two men have given everything, EVERYTHING in this match. Everyone watching this match saw the most brutal confrontation in recent memory. I think it is safe to say that with the pain both men experienced in this match neither one has a chance to win the Bedlam Brawl."

S...O...L...U...T...I...O...N... Coming soon

Dan Wilson: "Solution? I don't know what that is all about but I do know what this next match is all about. This match is to honor the career of Bobby Eaton. Lets head to the ring with Bobby Eaton one last time."

Bobby Eaton vs. William Regal

William Regal came to the ring to a respectful greeting. The fans realized they were witnessing a special event.

Ring announcer: "Please welcome the special ring announcer, one half of the Midnight Express Stan Lane."

Stan Lane: "Thank you very much. Our time keeper for this match is Bobby Eaton's former partner in Bad Attitude, Steve Keirn. The referee is Arn Anderson. (Large ovation). And now, led to the ring by his manager Jim Cornette, here is the one and only BOBBY EATON!"

The crowd stood on their feet and cheered Eaton as he made his final trip to the ring. Seeing his former partners at ringside was overwhelming to the Beautiful One. Eaton and Regal tied up in the center of the ring. Regal used a quick go behind and then tripped Eaton. He hooked his legs and applied a Regal Stretch. Eaton quickly reached out and grabbed the rope. Arn Anderson physically broke up the submission hold. Regal got in his face to argue. Bobby Eaton got up, spun Regal around and chopped him. Regal staggered into the corner. Eaton mounted Regal in the corner and laid in ten punches as the crowd counted in unison. Regal hooked Eaton and drove him down with an atomic drop. Regal hooked in a side headlock and drove Eaton into the mat. Eaton slowly made his way to his feet but Regal drove him back down with a bulldog. He went for the pin, but Eaton kicked out. Regal used a series of European uppercuts. Eaton ducked one and clipped Regal with a DDT. Eaton went up top for an Alabama Jam and the crowd once again rose to their feet. Eaton leaped and at the last split second Regal moved out of the way. Both men staggered to their feet. Regal nailed Eaton with a neckbreaker. He pinned him. Anderson slowly counted hoping Eaton would kick out but he did not. William Regal defeated Bobby Eaton. Regal and Anderson helped Eaton to his feet as the fans cheered the effort of both men, especially Eaton. Lane, Keirn and Cornette came in and raised Eaton onto their shoulders. The fans gave Eaton a standing ovation. The arena entrance was shown where many of the SMW wrestlers gathered to watch. Eaton made his way over and shook their hands. Many of the stars were visibly emotional. Bobby Eaton fought back tears as he turned around and waved to the crowd one last time as the crowd chanted his name.

Dan Wilson: "Bobby Eaton, we will miss you. You have provided us with many great moments in the ring. For everyone in SMW, we wish you good luck. Fans take a look at the front row at ringside. That man is none other than Dean Malenko. We are pleased to announce that Dean Malenko is the newest trainer for SMW. We expect big things from him and I personally can't wait to see him in the ring."

SMW Title Match

Christopher Daniels vs. Loki

Daniels and Loki met in the middle of the ring. They traded punches with Daniels getting the better of it until Loki used an impressive kick to The Fallen Angel's shoulder. Daniels backed up to shake the pain away. He came back at Loki. Loki dropped down and kicked Daniels knee. He went for a lasso but Daniels got to the ropes. Daniels limped towards Loki. Daniels used a standing dropkick to floor Loki. He applied a figure four leglock. Loki reversed the hold applying pressure to the champion's leg. Daniels let go. They both got up and ducked each others clothesline attempts. They turned around and tried dropkicks at the same time, both missing. Daniels hooked Loki around the waist and launched him for a German suplex. However, Loki landed on his feet. He attempted a spin kick. Daniels ducked and the kick landed squarely on the referee. Daniels rolled Loki up but no pin could be made. Daniels hoisted him and sent him down with a spinebuster. Daniels climbed the ropes and landed squarely on Loki. He went for a pin and the referee slowly got into place and counted but Loki kicked out. Loki got up and with a new life, he hit the Ki-Krusher. Unfortunately for him, he could not get the win. Daniels went to the outside to get a chair. He re-entered the ring and held the chair waiting for Loki to get up. Loki got up and surprised everyone in attendance with a spinkick. The kick hit the chair and the chair hit Daniels. Loki pinned him and the referee counted 1...2...3. Loki became the new SMW champion.

Dan Wilson: "Loki is the second SMW champion. Believe me, he just beat a great champion. Both men have to quickly refocus their attention to the Bedlam Brawl. The main event is up next".

Main Event

Bedlam Brawl

Every member of the SMW roster was involved in this match. At stake was a shot at the TWF's Royal Rumble. In fact, the match worked a lot like a Royal Rumble. Earlier in the day, there was a drawing to determine the order of entry. The match would begin with two men and every two minutes a new wrestler would enter. Every five minutes, a new weapon would be introduced. The final weapon would be a ladder that was needed to retrieve the Royal Rumble contract. The first participant in the match was Dave Taylor. The second participant was a battered and bruised Shannon Moore. Shannon Moore was barely able to walk to the ring. Taylor immediately pounced on his weakened opponent. He nailed him with a series of European uppercuts and tried for an early elimination but Moore grabbed onto the ropes. Next in the ring was RC Haas. Haas determined that the best strategy would be to work on the already softened Shannon Moore. Haas and Taylor double teamed him but still could not get the nimble Shannon Moore out. Thus far, Sensational Shannon Moore did not have any substantial offense. The fourth participant was the once undefeated Rip Rogers. At first, Rogers wisely did not get involved in the battle. At the five minute mark, SMW officials brought out a few tables to be used in the match. Haas set one up in the ring. He grabbed Moore for a powerbomb but Moore was able to get free and whip Haas into the corner. Taylor got involved and sent Moore back towards the table. Moore leaped onto the table and jumped back onto Taylor and Rip Rogers with a double cross body block. Meanwhile, Ron Waterman entered the ring and went at it with Haas. Waterman's major impact was to suplex RC Haas through the table. Next up in the ring was the new SMW champion Loki. Loki rolled into the ring and began kicking at an exhausted Shannon Moore. Clearly this was every man for himself. Loki next turned his attention to Rip Rogers. Rogers was actually able to take the champion down. However, he unwisely used a headlock in a battle royal. Suprisingly, it was Shannon Moore that broke it up with a dropkick. The seventh participant, Mike Sanders also brought the second weapon into the ring. He carried a chair and immediately wanted to use it. Haas kicked him to the gut and grabbed the chair. At first it looked like he would nail Sanders. Instead, he turned around and whacked Waterman with the chair. Nick Dinsmore made his way to the ring at the 12 minute mark. He was wearing some kind of face guard and a black mask. Dinsmore had the same determination he has always shown. In fact, he was responsible for the first elimination, clotheslining Dave Taylor over the top and to the floor. The next participant was Spencer Hollywood. Hollywood immediately made immediate impact. As he entered the ring, Loki whipped Shannon Moore right at him. Hollywood dipped his shoulder and sent Moore flying high over the ropes and landing on a table, which shattered into pieces. The crowd came to it's feet after the devastating fall. Moore would have to be slowly helped to the back. At the 15 minute mark, two leather straps fell from the ceiling. RC Haas and Ron Waterman used them on each other but also found time to nail Rip Rogers as well. As Shannon Moore inched closer to the curtain, the tenth participant made his way to the ring. It was Guido Maritato. Once Moore saw this, he had a renewed fighting spirit. He charged at Guido and speared him. They rolled around the floor punching at each other as SMW officials tried to break it up. Eventually they fought all the way to the lockerroom area. Guido Maritato never officially entered the match. But Mark Jindrak did make it to the ring. He went at it with his full time tag team partner Mike Sanders. However, they turned their attention to RC Haas. Sanders first hit him with the 4.0 and then Jindrak heaved him over the top. The twelfth participant was one half of the tag team champions, Johnny Swinger. Swinger came to the ring carrying two trash cans. He nailed everyone in sight. Rip Rogers popped back up. Swinger took the second trash can and put it over Rip's head. Then he just simply pushed him towards the ropes and Rogers went up and over and was eliminated. Swinger saw that everyone was slowly getting up so he danced in the center of the ring. The horn sounded and the other half of the tag team champions Simon Diamond came down. Simon Diamond was immediately attacked by Ron Waterman. Waterman threw Simon out but as he did it Johnny Swinger came up from behind and eliminated Waterman also. The fourteenth participant was Lance Cade. Cade, coming off a memorable moment, went at it with Spencer Hollywood in the corner as Loki was double teamed by Sanders and Jindrak. A fire extinguisher was placed in the ring but no one capitalized on it. The fifteenth participant was Al Snow who got a mixed response from the crowd. Snow used the fire extinguisher, spraying everyone. He then hoisted Loki up for the Snow Plow. Loki laid motionless as Snow verbally attacked him. He lifted him over the top. Loki held onto the ropes and stayed on the apron. Snow punched at him. Then everyone came over to gang up on the champion. Johnny Swinger, thus far making the biggest impact, took a leather strap and whipped his arms ala Indiana Jones. Loki lost his grip and fell to the floor. The next participant was Rob Conway. Conway came in and worked on Sanders. Jindrak saw this and came charging at Conway. Conway moved and Jindrak ran into Sanders. Both men teetered near the ropes. Conway double clotheslined them over the top. Sanders fell to the floor and Jindrak held on and rolled back in. At the 30 minute mark Lenny Lane came down with a two by four. Lane showed his violent side when he nailed Nick Dinsmore right in the face with the wooden weapon. Dinsmore was in so much pain that he could not defend against his elimination by Lane. The horn sounded for the eighteenth participant but no one emerged. Suddenly the crowd roared as Crazy Shane jumped over the railing and into the ring. Al Snow turned around with a shocked look on his face. Snow took one step forward and the fight was on in the center of the ring. All the other wrestlers watched as they punched at each other. Snow kicked him and went for the Snow Plow but Shane battled out and grabbed a chair to hit Snow. He nailed him and Snow went over the top and to the outside. Crazy Shane climbed to the top rope and jumped to the outside with a shooting star press on Snow. The crowd began chanting for Crazy Shane but Shane had eliminated himself and could not return to the ring. Next up, the nineteenth wrestler came in. It was "The Real Deal" Damian Steele. Steele got revenge for his partner's elimination as he eliminated Johnny Swinger. The next period of the match was very bloody and involved many quick eliminations. Firstly, a barbed wire bat was the newest weapon. Steele used it on everyone that stood in his way. Many including Spencer Hollywood laid on the mat in a pool of their own blood. Once Paul Diamond, the twentieth participant made it to the ring, he easily eliminated Spencer Hollywood. Diamond also was able to grab the bat. Instead of using it, he threw it as far as possible. The crowd booed the move by Diamond. Michael Modest was participant number twenty-one. The quick eliminations continued as Modest eliminated Jindrak after twenty minutes in the ring. SMW trainer Fit Finley was out next. He even jumped the gun. Luckily his weapon was not a gun but it was brass knuckles. He used the knucks to pound the midsection of Lance Cade and then tombstone piledrived him onto the chair. Cade was quickly eliminated. As we got closer to number twenty-eight, the final entry, the freshness of the wrestlers became an important advantage. Number twenty-three was none other than The Patriot. The Patriot came in and battled with Finley but once he subdued the international superstar, he hit Rob Conway with an atomic bomb. The bomb was over the ropes. Conway landed hard on the outside apron and fell to the floor. Next up was Keiji Sakoda. Sakoda and The Patriot went at it in the center of the ring while Damien Steele worked over Modest in the corner. Keiji Sakoda then turned his attention to Lenny Lane. Sakoda kicked Lance to the face with his foot gear and eliminated him. Patriot somehow got the brass knuckles from Finley and nailed Sakoda with them, giving him a taste of his own medicine. However, Sakoda was not eliminated. At the 45 minute mark, a rope fell from the ceiling. The twenty-fifth participant was The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels. Daniels was in a horrible mood after losing earlier and he took it out on Damian Steele, eliminating the member of Vicious and Malicious. Next in the ring was Bull Buchanan. One of SMW's biggest men was no match for Paul Diamond especially after Diamond was in the ring after twelve minutes. Diamond was eliminated. At the 50 minute mark, Monty Brown came down with Singapore canes. First, The Alpha Male used the cane to eliminate Michael Modest. Brown tossed a cane to Buchanan. Brown and Bull battled it out, nailing each other with the canes. As they went at it near the ropes, Patriot managed to have enough strength to push them both over the top and to the floor. Brown and Buchanan were furious. They returned to the ring and double teamed Patriot. Monty hit him with an Alpha Bomb and then Buchanan crashed onto him after a top rope legdrop. The final entry in the ring was Essa Rios. Keiji Sakoda wrapped Daniels around the neck with the rope. He threw The Fallen Angel over the top which caused Daniels to hang there gasping for air. However, he did not touch the floor. He rolled back in. He charged at Sakoda and clipped his knee. Daniels put him in a Boston crab. He then released it and held onto Sakoda to catapult him over the top and to the floor. The final weapon, the ladder, was brought to the ring. Fit Finley, Essa Rios, The Patriot and Christopher Daniels were the final four but soon it would be the final three as Rios eliminated Finley. The Patriot and Christopher Daniels battled as Rios set up the ladder and began to climb. The Fallen Angel pushed Patriot into the ladder. The ladder tipped over and sent Rios straight to the floor, eliminating him. Next, Daniels grabbed the fire extinguisher to spray Patriot. However, the Patriot blocked his face with a chair. The Patriot then nailed Daniels with an atomic bomb and began to climb the ladder. Somehow Daniels was able to climb the other side. There was a lot on the line in this match. Daniels was able to turn Patriot around on the ladder and he locked in a sleeperhold. The Patriot sacrificed his body and dropped down causing The Fallen Angel to hit the top of the ladder face first and crash to the mat. The Patriot then slowly climbed up and got the contract for the Royal Rumble.

Dan Wilson: "The Patriot is going to the Royal Rumble. Finally, he gets his deserved shot at greatness. What can I say about Bedlam Brawl that has not been described in the match already. These guys gave their all for this match. My hat is off to all the competitors, especially that man, The Patriot. I hope you enjoyed Holiday Hell. Goodnight everyone"!
