"Alive" by P.O.D. hits as SMW owner Garrett Sandeen comes down flanked by Dean Malenko and "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels to a lot of heat.
Garrett Sandeen: "What's the matter? All of you have a problem with the way I have conducted business since I became owner of SMW? Well to be honest, that's just to damn bad for all of you!
(fans boo)
Because I will do whatever I have to do to make sure that my SMW is a million times better then the mFw. Step number one was to get rid of that never was loser Al Snow as commisioner and Snow the beating you got last time was nothing compared to the one you'll get if you try..........
(All of a sudden, "Here comes the money" by Naughty by Nature hits as the fans begin cheering and Shane McMahon comes out along with Jordan Rockwell and Dylan Jansens.)
Shane McMahon: "Hold on Garrett, I can appreciate your desire to make the SMW better then my sister's mFw, but you doing what you did to Al Snow was way out of line for one and thinking you will get away with doing whatever you want is something that I am here to tell you won't happen.
(fans cheer)
Because right here tonight, there's gonna be a return match to determine the commisioner of the SMW when Dean Malenko goes up against Al Snow right here on aggression"!
Sandeen: "Hold on Shane, Al Snow is done here as........
McMahon: "No you hold on! I appointed you head of the SMW but remember, you work for me and to make sure things are fair when I leave, I am leaving Jordan and Dylan here to make sure things stay that way".
(Rockwell and Jansens smile and wave as "Here comes the money" hits and they all leave as Sandeen is in the ring furious.)
Dan Wilson: "Man what a bomb shell by Shane McMahon! Al Snow gets a chance at retrobution against Malenko! Let's send it backstage to Jennie"!
(backstage)
Jennie Finch : "Thanks Dan, I'm here with Al Snow and Al, you heard the comments of Shane McMahon, tonight you get Dean Malenko in a return match for the right to be commisioner of SMW. Your thoughts"?
Al Snow: "Well....
(enter Dylan Jansens)
Jansens: "Sorry to intrude Al, but just before Shane left, he told me to tell you that if you can win tonight, then your job will be secure as commish for as long as you want it to be yours. Meaning you can't be fired or have to put the job on the line in any match ever and also he said that it'll be a hardcore rules match".
(The 2 men shake hands and Jansens leaves)
Jennie: "Al your thoughts"?
Snow: "I think tonight it sucks to be Dean Malenko".
(back at ringside)
Wilson: "well that's going to be a great main event but during that, i was told that there will be an ultimate jeopardy match tonight to determine the number one contenders to the world tag team titles! lets go to the ring for the first match up".
Ultimate jeopardy match #1
Mark Jindrak and Mike Sanders vs. The Future Foundation In an outstanding match from the beginning, it ended after Dinsmore hit Sanders with his piledriver series he now calls the D3 to advance the Future Foundation into the finals.
Wilson: "Excellent match by both teams but it'll be the Future Foundation going on to the finals. Right now folks, before we see Michael Modest in the ring against Lenny Lane, lets take a look at him".
(a video package is shown on Michael Modest from his days on the independent scene to his tour of Japan up till now in the SMW.)
Michael Modest vs "Lucious" Lenny Lane This was a match that Modest dominated from the beginning and when he felt the time was right, he set Lane on the top turnbuckle and landed the "Reality check" for the win.
(as Modest was leaving, to his suprise he got a standing ovation from the fans who were chanting his name.)
Wilson: "Man what an ovation for one of the best wrestlers in the business".
(in Garrett Sandeens office)
Sandeen: "Dean you better win tonight. I don't want Snow to be back in as the commisioner, especially now that the job is his for as long as he wants it if he beats you".
Dean Malenko: "Don't worry, he won't win".
(back at ringside)
Ultimate jeopardy match #2
Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger vs. Lance Cade and Rip Cade In a match that Diamond and Swinger thought they had in the bag, Lance Cade hit a powerbomb on Swinger then went to the top and landed his top rope legdrop for the win.
Wilson: "Man that has to be an upset, but now the Cade's move on to face the Future Foundation for the number one contendership"!
(back stage)
Jennie Finch: "I'm here with Jordan Rockwell and I understand you have an announcement to make"?
Jordan Rockwell: "Yeah, right here next week by order of Shane McMahon, Steve Bradley will be defending the SMW title in a four way elimination match against Shannon Moore, Christopher Daniels and..... The Patriot"!
(back at ringside)
Wilson: "Another peice of news by Shane McMahon. He has signed a four way elimination match next week for the SMW title and all I can say is finally the Patriot gets his shot".
Ultimate jeopardy finals
The Future Foundation vs. Lance and Rip Cade In what was a weird match between two different teams, Dinsmore had Lance Cade set for the D3 when out from the back came Mark Jindrak. But behind him came Dylan Jansens to stop him. This distracted Dinsmore enough to allow Mike Sanders to come from the crowd and hit the 4.0 on Dinsmore which allowed Lance to score the pin.
(while the Cade's celebrated their win, out from the back once again came Dylan Jansens)
Jansens: "Excuse me fellas, I just thought you wanted to know that the reason this is ultimate jeopardy is because your tag team title match is right now"!
(out from the back came Bull Buchanon and Monty Brown with the tag team titles and Brown intentionally bumped into Jansens on his way to the ring.)
SMW tag team title match
Bull Buchanan and Monty Brown vs. Lance and Rip Cade The opportunistic champions took advantage of the weakened challengers from the outset. With Buchanon and Lance on the outside with the referee, Brown took it to Rip on the inside and alpha bombed him but that wasn't enough for him so he went out to get a chair and attempted to use it. But down to the ring came Dylan Jansens who took the chair away from him and when Brown swung at him Jansens ducked it and booted Brown in the stomach and hit the Goliath. As Jansens exited the ring, a groggy Rip Cade draped an arm on Brown and the referee slid in as Lance low blowed Buchanon and the ref hit the mat and made the three count and with that win, Rip and Lance Cade pulled of the unthinkable and became the new tag team champions.
(Lance came in and helped Rip to his feet as the ref presented them with the SMW tag team titles.)
Wilson: "I don't believe it! With an assist from Dylan Jansens of PrimeTime, Lance and Rip Cade are the new tag team champions of the SMW and above all else, Rip Rogers, Rip Cade, call him what you will but he just pinned the alpha male and has won his first taste of gold and now fans it's time for our main event! Let's take a look at whats led up to this match".
(video footage is shown of the history between Al Snow and Dean Malenko and Garrett Sandeen's first night in charge leading into Al Snow's firing as commissioner.)
Hardcore rules match winner is commisioner of the SMW Al Snow vs. Dean Malenko This was a fight from the beginning. At one point, Snow hit a moonsault on Malenko through a table when out came Christopher Daniels and Garrett Sandeen himself to break up the pinfall. As all three began to triple team Snow, out from the back came Jordan Rockwell! Rockwell traded punches with Daniels till he ducked one and hit Daniels with the Rock Smasher. As Rockwell got up and turned, Sandeen was ready to take a cheap shot at him. Sandeen quicky offered a handshake which Rockwell oddly accepted but he pulled him right into Extreme Measures which brought the crowd to their feet cheering. As Malenko pulled Snow to his feet, Snow kneed him in the gut and quickly picked Malenko up for the snow plow and he made the pinfall to once again become commisioner of the SMW.
Wilson: "Yes! Now thankls to that win, Al Snow is once again the commisioner of the SMW and as Dylan Jansens said earlier, Snow can't be fired and he never has to put his job on the line again. He's the commissioner of Smoky Mountain Wrestling for good! That's all for tonight folks so for Jennie Finch, I'm Dan Wilson, see you next time here in the SMW"!
