Nashville, Tennessee
A video package chronicling last week’s drawing of the Lethal Lottery teams is shown. The teams of Hollywood/Bradley, Sabin/Mariner, Ogden/Violent P, and Moore/Xavier are featured as being the high profile teams. The video ends with Shannon Moore and Xavier staring each other down, with Commissioner Plavljanich’s threat of them working as a team playing in the background. From there, “Warrior” plays and the opening video rolls, followed by a pyrotechnics display.
Dan Wilson: Welcome everyone to the SMW Arena! Tonight, we are going to kick off the Lethal Lottery with four very unique tag team matches! Tonight, we will see men who hate each other with a passion be forced to team up in order to get a step closer to a shot at the SMW Championship!
James Robinson: However, there are two more men who are now going to get that chance to win that shot. Over the last week, the team of Kronik, Brian Adams and Bryan Clark, were released from their SMW contracts. Instead of merging the team members they left behind and having the mystery team be revealed tonight, President Joe Corey has decided to give Michael Modest and “The Submissions Man” Ted Huntsman the chance to go after the SMW Championship tonight!
Dan Wilson: And for someone like Huntsman, who has only been in SMW for a week, he is getting the chance to go after his first title right away. Something like this hasn’t been seen since Mariner won the SMW Television Championship in his second week in SMW. These are a group of men who are trying to make their mark on SMW!
James Robinson: Speaking of leaving a mark, we have three men who are one step away from returning to SMW. They will be joined by one of the four men who are about to take part in the final qualifying match of the second Chance Series. We are about to find out who that one will be, let’s go to the ring.
2ND CHANCE SERIES BATTLE ROYAL
Spike Dudley vs. Tatanka vs. “Crazy Stick” Mike Marcellus vs. Big Show
Right from the opening bell, the three other men go right after Big Show, trying to eliminate the biggest man, not just in this match, but in the entire 2nd Chance Series. With all three men on top of him, Big Show lifts up his arms, forcing them all back, and Mike Marcellus over the top rope. Big Show then picks up Spike Dudley and press slams him over the top rope, onto Marcellus. Tatanka runs up behind Big Show and starts chopping his back, but Big Show turns around and connects with a big slap to the chest of the Native American. Big Show then grabs Tatanka by the throat and sends him crashing to the mat with a thunderous Choke Slam. The Big Nasty Bastard gets up and easily deposits Tatanka over the top rope, having won the battle royal effortlessly.
Winner: Big Show
Dan Wilson: The field is now set and it has just been made huge as the 7 foot, 500 pound Big Show is the man who will join Mideon, Nova, and Hardcore Holly at Lethal Lottery in the finals of the 2nd Chance Series. One of these four men is going to be returning to SMW, and maybe eventually on one of the main TWF rosters!
James Robinson: These men are fighting to regain the glory that they used to enjoy in their careers. On the other side of that, there is one man who is fighting to gain the knowledge needed to gain that glory for the first time. That man is the former President of Smoky Mountain Wrestling, Joe Diano. Joe has been training for months with the SMW trainers, and we have all been hearing good things about his skills. Here is a look at what he has been doing to get himself ready for the day he finally realizes his dream!
(Joe Diano training video is shown.
Commercial Break
Backstage, President Joe Corey is shown sitting at his desk in his office.
Joe Corey: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a revolutionary night here in SMW. In a matter of seconds, we are going to kick off the Lethal Lottery. We have some very distinctive teams, as well as some teams who have prior experience with each other. Tonight is going to be a night filled with unexpected events, and allow me to officially declare the Lethal Lottery begun.
Lethal Lottery Quarterfinal Match
Satan’s Son & Michael Modest vs. “The Future” Chris Sabin & Mariner
Mariner starts the match against Satan’s Son, who is making his in-ring debut in SMW. The two lock up with neither man gaining an advantage, and then they both break the lock up. They lock up again, this time with the former Television Champion forcing Satan’s Son to the corner. After a clean break, Satan’s Son tells Mariner to charge into him. Mariner then bounces off the ropes and shoulder blocks Satan’s Son, but neither man moves. Satan’s Son then did the same, with the same result. Mariner then decides to try one more time, and as he bounces off the ropes he is hit with a knee in the back from Michael Modest, who tags into the match. Modest comes in and sends Mariner to the ropes. When he hits, Chris Sabin gets a blind tag, completely unnoticed by Modest. After hitting a powerslam and going for the cover, Modest is hit from behind by Sabin, the legal man. Sabin uses his speed to take down Modest, as well as Satan’s Son when he comes in to stop a pinning predicament. Sabin goes for the “Future Shock”, but Modest rolls off his back, and pushes him into the ropes, where he bumps into Mariner, sending him flying from the apron into the security wall. Sabin turns around and is hit with a huge clothesline from Satan’s Son, who gets out of the ring as quickly as he entered it. Modest regains his composure, and then he picks up Sabin. On the outside of the ring, Mariner gets back onto his feet, and gives a disgusted look at Chris Sabin before he turns around and starts to walk back to the locker room. In the ring, Modest looks Sabin right in the eye, and then he picks him up and connects with the “Modest End”. Modest goes for the cover, but it is broken up by Mariner, who bolted to the ring, having thought better of walking out on his partner. Mariner then gets on the apron, where he receives the tag from Chris Sabin. Mariner comes in and sends Michael Modest to the mat with a clothesline and then he does the same to Satan’s Son when he enters the ring. He then hits a dropkick on Modest before sending Satan’s Son to the outside of the ring. He turns around, hits a boot to the midsection of Modest, and then connects with a DDT that gives him the victory for his team.
Winners: “The Future” Chris Sabin & Mariner
Dan Wilson: The Lethal Lottery got kicked off with a bang, and this match was amazing! Satan’s Son made a great impression in his first match here in SMW, and Michael Modest proven to be right on the heels of Chris Sabin, as he has fallen just shy of victory two weeks in a row now. Also, Mariner proved that he is serious about getting a shot at the SMW Championship as he worked extremely well with the man who took his Television Championship away a few weeks ago!
James Robinson: It would have been really easy for Mariner to allow Chris Sabin to be pinned after the “Modest End”, but he came into the ring and broke up the count. He then went onto receive the tag and hit the DDT that won the match. Unfortunately for Satan’s Son, this was not the best conditions to come into his first match here in SMW. And speaking of people making their debuts here in SMW, we may soon have another new arrival in the next couple weeks.
Dan Wilson: Well, I am guessing that you are alluding to the match at TWF Doomsday that will see the President of SMW, and current King of Cable, “The Show” Joe Corey defend his title against Carney. The stipulation of this match is that if Carney loses this match, then he will be demoted from his TWF contract and sent down here to SMW, to prove to the powers-that- be that he deserves to be on one of the main rosters. With that in mind, check out this video that goes into more detail on this feud.
(“Lying From You” plays in the background of this package. The video starts with “The Show” Joe Corey winning his first King of Cable back in May. It shows clips of his title defenses, as well as him with Alexis Laree celebrating on the town mixed in. It then shows the upset victory by Shelton Benjamin at Anarchy Rulz, where Corey lost the King of Cable. It then shows scenes of Carney winning the #1 Contender match earlier on Anarchy Rulz. Following that was clips of Shelton Benjamin defending the King of Cable against Carney, with Joe Corey costing Carney the match. It then shows Carney declaring that he would make “The Show” regret his involvement in the match. After scenes of the tag team matches they have been involved in, both of which ended with “The Show” making Carney tap out to “The Cage”. It then shows Joe Corey making the challenge for the stipulation where if Carney loses the match, he would be demoted to SMW. Following that are scenes of the matches that Carney has had on Rampage against SMW superstars Max Ogden, Mr. Vain, Violent P, and Recon Rage. The video wraps up with Joe Corey and Carney face to face, with the TWF and SMW logos fading into each other to reveal the King of Cable Championship belt.

(“Seed of Chucky” in theatres November 12th)
James Robinson: Welcome back everyone as we continue with tonight’s first round of the Lethal Lottery. We have already seen the team of Mariner and the SMW Television Champion, Chris Sabin, advance to Battle Bowl with their win and the bye they will receive in the second round.
Dan Wilson: We are about to find out which team is going to face off against the mystery team at Lethal Lottery, as Slater Vain and Scott Norton take on the unlikely duo of Shannon Moore and Xavier.
Robinson: And not only that, but after the warning from Commissioner Plavljanich last week, these two men are also fighting for their jobs, because they are going to be putting in as much effort against their opponents as they are going to be putting into not going after the man who is his tag partner, because these two men do not like each other.
Lethal Lottery Quarterfinal Match
Shannon Moore & Xavier vs. Slater Vain & Scott Norton
Slater Vain stands in the ring, but he doesn’t know who to go after, because Shannon Moore and Xavier are standing in the corner, arguing over who is going to start the match. Eventually Xavier steps out onto the apron, and Shannon Moore goes right after Slater Vain. Repeatedly, Shannon Moore keeps looking at Xavier each time he connects with a move. After sending Vain to the mat with a flying forearm, Moore slaps Xavier on the shoulder and tells him to get in the ring and do something. Xavier keeps the momentum going, and oddly, the team of Xavier and Moore are controlling the match. Xavier sends Slater to the ropes and powerslams him down to the mat. He then picks up Vain and hits the X-Breaker. Xavier goes to make the cover, but he is tagged by Shannon Moore. Moore goes to make the cover, but he is stopped by Xavier, who takes exception to Moore trying to take the glory. While the two are arguing, Slater Vain rolls to his corner and tags Scott Norton. The referee finally gets Xavier to get to the apron and Shannon Moore turns around, only to be met by a boot by Norton and a powerbomb. Norton goes for the cover and Xavier hesitates to stop it. He finally enters the ring, but he is met by Slater Vain, who keeps Xavier from making the save, thus giving the win to Scott Norton and Vain.
Winners: Slater Vain & Scott Norton
James Robinson: I knew this was going to happen. There was no way that these two men were going to be able to work together and move on in this tournament. It showed in the end when it looked like they were going to pick up the win after the X-Breaker by Xavier on Slater Vain. He had everything in hand until Shannon Moore tagged himself in, just like he did a few weeks ago when these two teamed up in that eight-man tag match. In the time they argued over who was going to pick up the win for their team, Vain was able to tag in Scott Norton, who caught Shannon Moore off guard and powerbombed him to the mat. Xavier seemed to hesitate to break up the pin at first and that was all the time Slater Vain needed to get in position to prevent him from doing just that!
Dan Wilson: It’s too bad for these men, both of whom recently lost their titles and now they will not have the chance to regain gold in SMW at Lethal Lottery. But now we do know that Slater Vain and Scott Norton will be taking on the mystery team at Lethal Lottery, with the winners of that match joining Chris Sabin and Mariner in Battle Bowl. Moving on however, we are going to get to the next match of the tournament, which will see the only team that was not broken up in the Lethal Lottery, Spencer Hollywood and Steve Bradley.
Lethal Lottery Quarterfinal Match
Spencer Hollywood & Steve Bradley vs. Mr. Vain & “The Submissions Man” Ted Huntsman
Spencer Hollywood starts the match against Ted Huntsman, who counters the initial lock up with a takeover armbar. Steve Bradley runs into the ring and breaks up the hold, making sure his partner did not have to deal with the pressure for too long. That brought in Mr. Vain, who made it a four man brawl in the ring. The referee gets in the mix, forcing Mr. Vain back to the outside. While this is going on, Hollywood and Bradley double team Huntsman, and connect with their leapfrog finisher. The referee turns around to see Spencer Hollywood covering Ted Huntsman. He goes to count the fall while Bradley keeps Mr. Vain out of the ring. The referee registers the three count, sending the only real team in the tournament to the next round.
Winners: Spencer Hollywood & Steve Bradley
Dan Wilson: Well, Spencer Hollywood and Steve Bradley have proven that having prior tag team experience can work, because the two of them are now moving onto the next round of the Lethal Lottery.
James Robinson: And if I know Commissioner Plavljanich, then he is celebrating right now like he never has before. Now he has his two men one step closer to facing Recon Rage, his SMW Champion. In that case, he won’t have to worry about losing his control of that title, because it will stay in his faction.
Backstage, Xavier and Shannon Moore are being held apart by security. Commissioner Plavljanich runs in and starts yelling at both men.)
Austin Plavljanich: Dammit, both of you cut this crap out! Didn’t I tell you last week that if you two did not work as a team that you would be fired?
(Xavier and Shannon Moore look confused, as they believe that they are no longer a team.)
Austin Plavljanich: I know what you are thinking. You don’t think that you are still a team, so it is okay to be at each others’ throats! Well, that is not the case, because you two are still a team! President Corey has informed me that we still do not have any challengers for the SMW Tag Team Championship at Lethal Lottery. It is now my job to find a tag team that I feel is worthy of getting a shot at the gold and I have made my decision. At Lethal Lottery, Jake Diamond and Dylan Page will defend their SMW Tag Team titles against Shannon Moore and Xavier! Oh, and just so you two know, you’re still working under the same stipulation, if you don’t work together as a team, you will both be fired!
Commercial Break
(TWF Films, now in production)
Dan Wilson: Welcome back folks, and if you are just tuning in for the main event, then you have missed so much tonight. Lethal Lottery has taken shape over the course of the night and our main event will fill in the last piece of the puzzle.
James Robinson: Live here at the SMW Arena next Sunday, Lethal Lottery will take place. We will see four former TWF superstars go at it in the finals of the second Chance Series to earn the chance to return to SMW and try to get back to the TWF roster. We will see Nova, Mideon, Hardcore Holly, and Big Show go at it in a Battle Royal, where you can be eliminated by pinfall, submission, or being thrown over the top rope!
Wilson: We will also see the SMW Tag Team Championship defended when Jake Diamond and Dylan Page take on Shannon Moore and Xavier. And if Moore and Xavier do not work as a team, they will both be fired by Commissioner Austin Plavljanich. From there, we move on to the Lethal Lottery itself. We now know that you will see Slater Vain and Scott Norton take on the mystery team that President Joe Corey has brought in to take part in the Lethal Lottery.
Robinson: We will also see the team of Spencer Hollywood and Steve Bradley take on the winners of our next match, either Violent P and Max Ogden or Matt Stryker and Aaron Stevens. From there, the winners of each of those matches will then join Chris Sabin and Mariner in the eight man Battle Bowl.
Wilson: Elimination from Battle Bowl can take place by pinfall, submission, or being thrown over the top rope. The last man standing in Battle Bowl will then go on to face Recon Rage for the SMW Championship!
Robinson: It is now time to find out who the last two men will be who are going to move on in the Lethal Lottery, let’s get to the ring!
Lethal Lottery Quarterfinal Match
Violent P & Max Ogden vs. Matt Stryker & Aaron Stevens
Max Ogden and Aaron Stevens start off the match and Ogden goes right to the offensive, connecting with a couple of right hands and then a boot to the gut. He grabs the right arm of Stevens in an armbar and pulls him over to the corner where he tags in Violent P. Surprisingly, the two display some good teamwork, as Violent P elbows the arm of Stevens while Ogden still has a hold of it. Violent P clotheslines Stevens to the mat and then goes to bounce off the ropes but he is hit in the back of the head by Matt Stryker. As he stumbles forward, Violent P is speared by Stevens, who then tags in Stryker. Stryker starts to put the boots to Violent P and he is only stopped when the referee forcefully removes him. Stryker sends Violent P to the corner and charges in, only to find the ring post. Both men start to move closer to their corners, with Matt Stryker getting to his first. Aaron Stevens runs in the ring and grabs the boot of Violent P, just as he was about to make the tag. Violent P gets up, blocks a right hand, and then connects with the Pedigree. With both men down, the crowd starts to get into it. Violent P starts to roll for the pin, but then he rolls to the other side and makes the tag to Max Ogden. Ogden jumps into the ring and sends Stevens to the mat with a clothesline. He then catches Matt Stryker with one as well. Violent P then reenters the ring and goes after Stryker while Ogden and Stevens go at it. Ogden Irish whips Stevens into the corner, but it is reversed and Ogden takes the impact. On the other side of the ring, Violent P gets a thumb to the eye and backs into the corner. Stryker and Stevens look at each other and go to send them into each other, but at the last second, both Irish whips are reversed and Ogden and Violent P send their opponents into each other. As they turn around, Ogden hit the Train Wreck on Stevens while Violent P hits the Pedigree on Stryker. They both go for the cover and the referee registers the three count.
Winners: Violent P & Max Ogden
Dan Wilson: I don’t know how they did it, but Max Ogden and Violent P have managed to move on in this Lethal Lottery. I think they both realize that the only way to get that chance to be the SMW Champion is to deal with the other on until Battle Bowl.
James Robinson: Now we know that they will face Spencer Hollywood and Steve Bradley in the next round, but only two of them will be able to join Chris Sabin and Mariner in Battle Bowl!
(From the back, Mr. Vain charges to the ring with a steel chair in hand. He comes in behind Max Ogden and winds up to take a shot, but at the last second, he is stopped.... by Violent P! Violent P grabs the chair and tells Mr. Vain that until Lethal Lottery is over, he is not to do anything to Max Ogden. Ogden stands in the corner, with a big smile on his face, as Satan’s Son charges to the ring and pulls Mr. Vain out of the ring. Mr. Vain and Satan’s Son brawl on the outside of the ring, as Max Ogden and Violent P stand in the ring, just looking on.)
Dan Wilson: Well, it seems that until this tournament is over, Max Ogden and Violent P have called a truce!
James Robinson: Yeah, but their partners have not done the same, because they are beating the holy hell out of each other on the outside!
Wilson: That does it for us tonight ladies and gentlemen. We will see you next time for LETHAL LOTTERY!!!
