SMW Aggression

Nashville, Tennessee

April 19, 2005

Footage is shown of the end of the last show with the brawl that featured all six of the combatants in tonight’s main event. The scene then shifts to show Mariner and Chris Sabin walking up the ramp, staying out of the fray. Footage is then shown of the events that happened after the show went off the air. The main focus is of Mariner turning on Sabin and DDT’ing him on the steel ramp, busting him open. Mariner is last shown holding the Television title and looking down at Sabin. From there, “Warrior” by Lloyd Banks hits and the opening video plays.

Dan Wilson: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to SMW Aggression, where we will have a huge Triple Threat tag team main event tonight!

James Robinson: That’s right Dan, and I am also being told that SMW President Joe Corey has a big announcement tonight as it pertains to Max Ogden and the SMW Championship. All of this will take place here tonight on the final stop before Reincarnation. Let’s get to the ring!

Nova & Tony “Knockout Punch” Gamboni vs. Adrenaline

Tony Gamboni and Chris Cage start the match, and once his team gets the advantage, Nova tags in. He goes after his former partner, but once Tank Toland is tagged in, Nova bails out and tags in Gamboni. After a couple of hard clotheslines, Tank presses Gamboni over his head, but he is hit from behind with a steel chair shot from Nova. The referee didn’t see it because he was tied up with Chris Cage, who saw Nova grab the chair and tried to warn him. With Nova and Cage going at it on the outside, Tony hit his “Knockout Punch”, a variation of the heart punch, and got the win for his team.

Winners: Nova/Tony “Knockout Punch” Gamboni

Dan Wilson: Big win for Nova and Tony Gamboni, who only a week ago were opponents.

James Robinson: And now Nova will take his clean record to Reincarnation, where he will face Tank Toland one-on-one.

Wilson: And speaking of Reincarnation, later tonight we will have a number one Contenders match when former champions Jake Diamond and Dylan Page take on Joe Diano and Chad Collyer. But before that, one half of the tag team champions is going to be in action. Stay here, we will find out which one after this break.

Joey Matthews vs. Shannon Moore (w/Xavier)

Shannon Moore went after Joey Matthews before the bell, and he didn’t let up at all. Moore seemed to have everything in hand, especially after Xavier tripped up Matthews from the outside. Shannon set up Joey for his twisting neckbreaker, but Matthews rolled out of it and DDTed Moore to the mat. Xavier then jumped up on the apron with a steel chair, and he called to Shannon to send Matthews into it. That’s when Christian York, Matthews’ tag team partner, ran to the ring and grabbed the chair. With Xavier and Moore distracted, Matthews pushed Shannon into his partner and then rolled him up for the win.

Winner: Joey Matthews

James Robinson: Can you believe this Dan? The tag champs are finally working together, but they were outsmarted when Christian York came out here. Now you have to look at them as top contenders, they just beat the champions!

Dan Wilson: Yes they do, but they have to get in line, because we will learn soon who will face the champions in Providence.

Backstage, Joe Corey, Max Ogden, and Satan’s Son are walking towards the ring, surrounded by security. They stop before the curtain.

Joe Corey: Okay, I want you four to stay here. No one is to pass through here to get to the ring. The rest of you, come with us.

Dan Wilson: The president is about to make his announcement. Don’t go away!

Sin City, starring Jessica Alba, in theaters April 1st.

“Lying From You” plays and an entourage of security leads President Joe Corey, Satan’s Son, and SMW Champion Max Ogden down the aisle. As they get in the ring, Corey tells security to surround the ring. Satan’s Son is seen wearing the new “This Show Never Stops” Joe Corey T-shirt and the champion is wearing a TWF Rampage T-Shirt. Corey then grabs a microphone.

Joe Corey: I am sure you are all looking forward to the big main event tonight, so I will try to make this quick. As some of you may have seen, SMW’s own Max Ogden was called up to the Rampage roster last week. Ever since, all I keep getting asked is “What’s gonna happen to the Reincarnation main event?” and “What does this mean for the SMW Championship?” Well, when Stephanie McMahon and I discussed this, I knew I had to protect that title. That is why I have decided that as long as he holds a title here in SMW, Max Ogden will be on both rosters.

The crowd starts a thunderous chorus of boos.

Corey: Seeing as Max was already booked tonight, and he has a title defense already scheduled for Reincarnation, this won’t go into effect until after that. If Max holds onto the title in Providence against Violent P, then it will be the first of weekly title defenses that he will make. Now, this is where the opportunity comes in for everyone else. At the beginning of each show, we will draw a name out of a tumbler. That person will go on to face Max Ogden in the main event that night for the SMW Championship. This will happen each week until we have a new champion. At that point, Max will go over to the TWF full-time. I feel that this is the best way to keep the SMW Championship from being decided in a tournament or any other way that a clear winner isn’t determined. I want this title to be decided one-on-one, in the ring.

Dan Wilson: There we have it James, Max Ogden will remain is SMW as long as he is the champion.

Corey: Now, moving on to Reincarnation. That night, we will see Satan’s Son, Mr. Vain, and Recon Rage take part in a Triple Threat match. However, this will not be any ordinary Triple Threat match. This match will have a special stipulation. It will be a “Land of Opportunity” match. What this means is that the winner will be able to challenge for whatever championship he wants here in SMW. That is just another great match that you will see next week at Reincarnation. So now, let’s get back to the show.

Max Ogden: One second Joe, I need something from you. As you have obviously seen, since we have all this security out here, we have a lot of people who are against us. People who would love to cost me my match against Violent P and be out of SMW for good. That is why I am asking you to make my title match at Reincarnation a Steel Cage match.

Corey: You know Max that is a great idea. You see, there are people in SMW who are just downright jealous. Those are the same people who we need this security for. They would like nothing better than to take us down before Reincarnation, or tonight for that matter. So tonight, Max Ogden and Satan’s Son will take out their opponents, leaving just enough of Recon Rage, Mr. Vain, and Violent P to make the trip to Providence, where the night will be all about us, whether they like it or not.

“Lying From You” hits and security leads Corey, Ogden, and Satan’s Son to the back.

James Robinson: There you have it, Max Ogden will remain here in SMW, and we now know that Mr. Vain, Recon Rage, and Satan’s Son will go at it at Reincarnation. Don’t go away folks, because when we get back, Chris Sabin and Mariner will be in the same ring, at the same time.

When SMW Aggression returns, Jennie Finch is chasing down Mariner, who is heading to the ring.

Jennie Finch: Mariner, could you wait up please? I have been trying to track you down all night, could I get a quick word with you before your match?

Mariner: For you hun, anything.

Finch: Earlier tonight we saw the footage of you attacking Chris Sabin after we went off the air last week? After a successful win as a tag team, why did you turn on him?

Mariner: Why did I turn on him? I didn’t turn on him, because I was never with him. What I was doing was making sure that I get back what I never should have lost in the first place. When I lost the title to Chris Sabin, I never got my rematch. Sabin kept me close because he thought he could keep me beside him instead of right in his face, and I got sick of it. Next week in Providence at Reincarnation, I am going to take Sabin out, and end this undefeated streak he has in singles matches. No one has beaten him in that ring yet, but believe me, I will be the first one to do it. And tonight, Sabin will lose his first tag team match, because I am going to pin his ass.

Mariner then turns and heads out to the ring.

Matt Stryker & Mariner vs. “The Future” Chris Sabin & ”The Submissions Man” Ted Huntsman

As soon as he got to the ring, Chris Sabin rushed at Mariner, but Mariner bailed out. Matt Stryker waited for Sabin to get in the ring and then nailed him. The match went back and forth, with the two men who will meet at Reincarnation for the TV Championship never being in the ring at the same time. It wasn’t until a blind tag was made to Mariner that he was in the ring at the same time as Sabin. Chris Sabin nailed Stryker with the “Future Shock”, but the referee wouldn’t count the fall. That was when Mariner turned Sabin around and nailed him with a spike DDT for the victory.

Winners: Matt Stryker and Mariner

James Robinson: Wow, can you believe this? Mariner has pinned Chris Sabin just days before Reincarnation!

Dan Wilson: And for a man who had never been pinned yet here in SMW, this is going to do a lot to the mindset of Chris Sabin as we head to Providence.

The shot switches to show Jake Diamond and Dylan Page leaving their locker room. It then switches to show Dean Malenko lead Joe Diano and Chad Collyer to the ring as well.

Dan Wilson: Don’t go anywhere folks, the number one Contenders Match is coming up next!

THQ presents WrestleMania XXI, only for XBOX, in stores April 19th

#1 Contenders Match

Jake Diamond & Dylan Page vs. Joe Diano & Chad Collyer (w/Dean Malenko)

This was a great back and forth contest, with all four men showing respect with clean breaks in the early going. As the match went on, the former champions got the advantage, and seemed to be a three count away from challenging for the titles. That is when Diamond went for a Catatonic on Collyer, but Diano clipped him. A four-way brawl ensued and the ref had no control. During the melee, the ref noticed Joe Diano’s hand laying over the chest of Dylan Page. He went down and registered the three count to set up the Tag Title match for Reincarnation.

Winners: Joe Diano and Chad Collyer

James Robinson: Why would Diamond and Swinger help Joe Diano and Chad Collyer gain a title match? They have been at each other’s throats for weeks.

Dan Wilson: The only thing I can think of is that they want Diano and Collyer to win the titles so they can get the first shot.

Robinson: That has to be it Dan, nothing else makes sense. But now we are going to go to Jennie Finch, who has caught up with the SMW Champion, Max Ogden.

Jennie Finch is seen standing backstage with a smile on her face and she has a mic and begins talking.

Jennie Finch: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm standing here with "Mr. SMW" himself, Max Ogden!

The crowd explodes in boos as Max is seen with a huge smirk on his face.

Jennie Finch: Max, you are the SMW Champion just like you promised, but we all know you have a lot ahead of you.

Max Ogden: Yeah, I know, you don't have to tell me Jennie. The odds are against me, I'm not good enough, blah, blah, blah! I don't care what all these critics say, because I could stomp on them before they even blinked. And that's for what people will say about all the things ahead of me. Like the fact that I'm not only "Mr. SMW," I'm also the newest TWF Rampage Member. President Corey, Chris Masters, and I up on Rampage will run wild. And here in the SMW, Satan's Son and I will destroy too. Well, now that my anger is out, yes, I do have a lot to do in the future. Rampage matches, the Triple Threat Tag Match, my Cage Match Title Defense, a lot. Well, it's hard to deal with all of this, but greatly, I can! I might've lost to that punk HBK Shawn Michaels, but I will prove to everyone I am not only the SMW Champion, but I will be TWF Champion someday too. You know, TWF and SMW, they're putting a lot on me, and I'm willing to take it, but this little punk Violent P wants to take me down? Tell me, aren't I undefeated against him? What, two or there and zero? Whatever it is, it doesn't matter, because I'm going to continue my winning streak here in the SMW, by any means necessary. And, hey sweetie, after I win, you can come back to my room, like after every show. And to all of my fans here in the SMW, know one thing. After my victory over Violent P, successfully defending my title, “Mr. SMW” will destroy each and every one of your favorite superstars, all the hated, the loved, SMW Superstars, Rampage Superstars, everyone. HBK got lucky, and I will prove to everyone in the TWF that I am for real, just like I have here. So, do yourselves a favor, watch your back, because Mr. SMW is here for good, and you can hate It or love It, but I'm on top!

Ogden walks away with a smirk on his face as the crowd explodes in deafening boos.

Commercial Break

WrestleMania VI, featuring “The Show” Joe Corey defending the TWF King of Cable against Shawn Michaels, catch it on DVD.

Dan Wilson: Welcome back folks. We are only moments away from our main event, but first we need to remind you of what you are in store for next time. We will be live from the Dunkin’ Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island for SMW Reincarnation.

James Robinson: That’s right, and we will see Nova try to prove that he is better than Chris Cage’s new tag team partner when he takes on Tank Toland.

Wilson: Matt Stryker will look to put the first blemish on a rising star when he takes on “The Submissions Man” Ted Huntsman.

Robinson: The SMW Television Championship will be on the line when “The Future” Chris Sabin defends the title against the man he won the title from when he takes on Mariner, who pinned him tonight in tag team action and will be looking to do it again with the gold on the line.

Wilson: That won’t be the only title match on the card, as Joe Diano and Chad Collyer will challenge Shannon Moore and Xavier for the SMW Tag Team Championship, and now that the champs are seemingly on the same page, this will be a great match!

Robinson: Then, we will see the first ever “Land of Opportunity” match when Recon Rage, Mr. Vain, and Satan’s Son go at it in a Triple Threat match. The winner of that match will be able to demand a title match at any date, against any champion.

Wilson: And finally, the SMW Championship will be on the line when Violent P challenges Max Ogden. And we now know that this match will take place inside of a Steel Cage.

“Hate It or Love It” by 50 Cent and The Game hits and the SMW Champion Max Ogden and Satan’s Son make their way to the ring.

Dan Wilson: And speaking of the champion, here he comes. It’s main event time folks.

Recon Rage & Spencer Hollywood vs. Max Ogden & Satan’s Son vs. Violent P & Mr. Vain

Recon Rage starts the match with Mr. Vain. The two exchange chops and right hands, and then tag in their respective partners. After about five minutes of this, Spencer and Violent P look at each other and realize that Satan’s Son and Max Ogden are still on the apron. They pull the two in, and it turns into a four-on-two assault. Satan’s Son is thrown to the outside of the ring, where someone in the crowd hits him over the head with a crutch. The camera turns to show Steve Bradley holding what is left of one of his crutches! He then pulls out two pairs of handcuffs and binds Satan’s Son to the security rail. In the ring, it is now a four-on-one massacre, with all men taking out their aggression on the SMW Champion. It finally ends when Violent P hits the Pedigree on Max Ogden and gets the win.

Winners: Violent P and Mr. Vain

Dan Wilson: Can you believe this? Violent P has pinned the SMW Champion only a week before Reincarnation!

James Robinson: Don’t give him too much credit Dan. With Satan’s Son on the outside, this turned into a four-on-one attack. As President Corey said earlier tonight, everyone is against Max Ogden!

Wilson: That may be true, but now Max Ogden and Violent P each hold victories over each other! Don’t miss Reincarnation folks, it will be the rubber match…in a STEEL CAGE!!!
