SMW REINCARNATION

SMW REINCARNATION

("Theme" plays in the background as a promo package chronicling the history between Violent P and Max Ogden plays.  It dates all the way back to Violent P's attack of Max Ogden back in June.  Scenes are also shown of their previous battles, the introduction of Mr. Vain and Satan's Son, and finally Violent P's defeat of Max Ogden last week on Aggression.  The package ends with two stills of Ogden and Violent P moving towards each other, and then a cage door slams shut.  Pyro goes off and the camera pans the Dunkin Donuts center, and then shows Dan Wilson and James Robinson.)

Dan Wilson:  Welcome everyone to Providence, RI.  Welcome to the sold out Dunkin Donuts Center.  Welcome to SMW Reincarnation.  I am Dan Wilson and with me is my announce partner, James Robinson.

James Robinson:  Thanks Dan, and these 14,000-plus fans are the largest audience for an SMW show ever, and it will be interesting to see how the wrestlers react to that tonight.

Wilson:  That's true James, but I can tell you someone who is used to a crowd this size, and that is the man who is heading to the ring right now, Nova.  So let's get to the ring as we kick off Reincarnation.

Nova vs. Tank Toland

Tank has the advantage early on, overpowering Nova. Nova tries to go off the ropes for a clothesline and hits Toland, but it's to no avail. Nova runs off the ropes again, this time met by a Toland clothesline. Toland picks up Nova over his head for a gorilla press slam, and Nova screams in pain. Toland picks up Nova again, this time slamming him to the mat with a front suplex drop. Toland then calls for the end and lifts up Nova for a Powerslam, but just then Toland's partner, Chris Cage, comes out from the back onto the apron. Toland drops Nova and yells at Cage to get down from the apron, but Cage doesn't move. As Toland is yelling at Cage, Nova comes up from behind Toland, pushes him into Cage, and hits the Kryptonite Krunch for the 1, 2, 3.

Winner:  Nova

Dan Wilson:  I hope Nova is proud of himself.  The only reason he won this match was because he got Chris Cage involved.

James Robinson:  Dan, Cage didn't have to get on the apron.  That was his choice.  He just cost his partner the win.

Wilson:  I guess you can look at it that way.  But now, let's go to Jennie Finch who is standing by with a man who will challenge for SMW gold for the first time tonight, Joe Diano.

(Backstage, Jennie Finch is standing with Joe Diano.)

Jennie Finch:  Joe, later on you, along with tag team partner Chad Collyer, will face Shannon Moore and Xavier for the SMW Tag Team titles.  The question is what do you think your chances are of leaving here tonight with those titles?

Joe Diano:  Ya know, I realize how talented Shannon Moore is or I would never have given him the reigns and let him be the top dog here.  And Xavier, the guy has more skills in his little finger then most have in them, period.  If I did not believe in him I would never have pushed for him to come here from MFW.  But the fact is Chad and I have come a long way as a tag team, and I personally have come a long way, so Shannon and Xavier, tonight will be no different then any other match.  All four of us walk down that isle and do battle for the World Tag Team titles, and by the grace of God, Chad and I will leave with them.  If not, then you two were just simply better then us.

(Diano is interrupted when security runs past him and Jennie Finch.  Diano looks confused and sees the mob run into his dressing room.  The cameraman follows Diano into the locker room, where security is pinning Simon Diamond and Johnny Swinger to the walls and pulling them out of the room.  As more can be seen, Chad Collyer is shown face down on the floor, unconscious.  Trainers run and check on Collyer, but he remains out.)

Dan Wilson:  Can you believe this?  Last week Diamond and Swinger are helping Diano and Collyer get a title shot, and now they are taking them out.

James Robinson:  I don't know Dan, but what I do know is that we have a big match coming up, with another undefeated streak on the line.

"The Submissions Man" Ted Huntsman vs. Matt Stryker

From the start of the match Matt Stryker was dominating. Throwing Huntsman into the corner, Stryker gave him a suplex off the top rope. With total domination of the match so far, Stryker taunted the crowd. With Huntsman still down on his back from the suplex, Stryker began working on "The Submissions Man's" leg. As Huntsman tried to stand up, Stryker ran at him and took him out with a leg clip. Huntsman fell to the mat in pain as Stryker locked him in a side leg lock. Huntsman finally got to the ropes as the referee had to enforce the 5 count to get Stryker off of him. Stryker then stalks Huntsman, looking to try and put this away, but Huntsman ducks a Clothesline and hits constant right hands before he sends Stryker off the ropes for a Back Body Drop. Huntsman hits Stryker with a clothesline, and as Stryker is getting up from it, Huntsman nails a T-Bone Suplex. Stryker landed on the back of his head but bounced up off of the ground, off the ropes and straight into a Crossface! After about 11 seconds, Stryker realized there was no hope in reaching the ropes so he tapped out and Huntsman got the hard fought victory.

Winner:  Ted Huntsman

James Robison:  Another impressive win for Ted Huntsman, but this one came at a price.

Dan Wilson:  That's right James, his leg was the focus of Stryker's attack, and you know he will be hurting tomorrow.

Robinson:  Folks, we have just received word that Commissioner Plavljanich has an announcement to make, so we are going to go to him now.

(Backstage, Commissioner Austin Plavljanich is shown sitting at his desk with Spencer Hollywood and Recon Rage on each side of him.)

Austin Plavljanich:  Ladies and gentlemen, let me start off by apologizing for my absence during last week's Aggression.  I went to the hospital to aid Steve Bradley in his rehabilitation from a torn meniscus, but to my surprise, he wasn't there.  In all actuality, he was at Aggression.  And as you could see from his appearance, he should be ready to go in a couple of weeks and he is rearing to go.  Now, as it pertains to tonight, it seems President Corey has taken it upon himself to add the steel cage stipulation to the SMW Championship match tonight.  Now, normally this would anger me, but I actually like that idea.  However, seeing Joe decided to add a stipulation to a match tonight, I find it only fair that I should get to do the same.  That is why I have decided that tonight's "Land of Opportunity" match will be under elimination rules.  This way we have a clear winner, and no one can claim they were never defeated.  Now, let's get back to the action.

(Back at ringside)

Dan Wilson:  Wow, a big announcement by the Commissioner, adding even more fuel to an already engulfing fire that is the "Land of Opportunity" match.  But now, it is time for our Tag Team Championship match.

James Robinson:  Yes, but we are being told that Chad Collyer is still being checked out by the doctors.  If you missed it, here is what happened.

(Footage is shown of Joe Diano finishing his interview, when security runs by him and enters his locker room.  That is when we see Chad Collyer unconscious on the floor and security forcing Diamond and Swinger out of the locker room.  "Enter Sandman" then hits and Joe Diano comes to the ring with Dean Malenko, but not tag team partner.)

Dan Wilson:  And with that, it looks like Joe Diano will go in alone against the Tag Team Champions.

James Robinson:  This is unfortunate, Joe is getting his first title match, and it's going to be in a handicap match.

SMW Tag Team Championship

Joe Diano vs. Shannon Moore/Xavier (c)

Diano starts the match with Shannon Moore and quickly tries to get the victory, but to no avail.  The champions use quick tags to weaken the lone challenger, and after seven or eight minutes, it looked like the titles would soon be successfully defended.  That is when the brash champions started to toy with Diano, pulling him up after two counts and continuously throwing him to the outside of the ring.  Back inside the ring, Xavier sends Diano into the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but it is ducked and both men then connect with clotheslines.  Xavier starts to move towards his corner, when the crowd erupts at the arrival of Chad Collyer.  Collyer runs to his corner and gets the tag from Diano, then jumps into the ring to meet the now legal Moore.  They trade fists, and Collyer even takes out Xavier with a hard right hand.  Collyer goes on the offensive, sending Moore to the ropes and hitting a big powerslam, but the count is broken up by Xavier.  The champions double team Collyer and send him to the ropes.  He ducks a double clothesline, and Diano makes a blind tag.  Collyer then spears Xavier and the two spill to the outside of the ring.  Diano then picks up Shannon Moore and hits the "Diano Dream" to capture the gold for his team.

Winners and NEW SMW Tag Team Champions: Joe Diano & Chad Collyer

Dan Wilson:  HE DID IT!!!  Collyer made it out here and gave Diano the rest that he needed and then Diano came back in rejuvenated, and now he has his first title.

James Robinson:  And you know Diamond and Swinger can't be happy.  They did everything they could to make sure the titles didn't change hands, and they failed

Wilson:  Will lightning strike twice?  Coming up next is our Television title match.  Here is how this one came out.

(A video showing plays chronicling the events that led to the SMW Television Championship match.  It starts with Chris Sabin winning the SMW Television title from Mariner a few months back.  That is followed by footage of the two teaming in the Lethal Lottery, as well as going at it in Battle Bowl.  Mariner beating Satan's Son is shown, followed by his save of Sabin against Violent P and Mr. Vain.  Their victory the next week follows, and the screen turns black and white when Mariner turns on Sabin.  The video ends with Marnier picking up the win against Chris Sabin in a tag team match last week.)

SMW Television Championship

Mariner vs. "The Future" Chris Sabin (c)

These two men are no strangers to each other, and it was obvious at the start of the match.  Neither of them wanted to make the first mistake, and because of that, none of them wanted to make the first move.  Finally, they locked up, and Sabin pushed Mariner to the corner.  The referee had to force them apart, but then Sabin gave a clean break.  They locked up again, this time with Mariner getting the edge, but he didn't' reciprocate the clean break, nailing Sabin with a cheap right hand.  Mariner goes on the offensive for a few minutes, eventually hitting his patented DDT on Sabin, but only got a two count.  He goes for it again, but is taken to the mat with a Northern Lights suplex.  The champion starts to stage a comeback, and eventually goes for the "Cradle Shock", but he is countered by Mariner into another DDT.  Mariner goes for the cover, but Sabin kicks out again.  Mariner starts to get aggravated, and he goes to the outside of the ring and grabs  a steel chair.  Mariner goes to use it, but he is stopped by the referee.  While he is fighting to get the chair away from the ref, Mariner is hit with a spear from the champion.  Sabin goes for the "Future Shock", but Mariner rolls out and cradles up Sabin for a two count.  Mariner traps Sabin in a headlock, but he is sent into the ropes.  Sabin catches him n a gutwrench, but Mariner flows out of it and hits another DDT.  Mariner goes to make the cover, but he stops.  He picks up Sabin and connects with a fourth DDT.  He then makes the cover and regains the title.

Winner and NEW SMW Television Champion: Mariner

Dan Wilson:  We have a new champion ladies and gentlemen.  Mariner is now a two-time Television Champion, but it didn't come easy.

James Robinson:  That's right Dan, Sabin wouldn't give up.  It took four DDT's to finally put him down.  And if I'm Max Ogden, I'm starting to worry, because so far tonight, no one has been able to keep his title.

Wilson:  Not only that, but he has no one who can help him, because he will be inside a Steel Cage.

Robinson:  Before we get to that though, we still have our "Land of Opportunity" match, but first, Jennie Finch has caught up with Violent P.

(Backstage)

Jennie Finch:  Thanks guys.  I am here with the man who will challenge for the SMW Championship tonight, Violent P.  This all started when you missed the Lethal Lottery.  What happened?

Violent P:  I wasn't there, that's what happened.  Nothing worked out for me that weekend, and I couldn't make it to the building.  And with me not there, it opened things up for Max Ogden to walk in and win the title.  But what about me, when was I going to get my shot?

Finch:  Well, that chance will come tonight.  And now it is in a Steel Cage.  Do you have any thoughts about that?

Violent P:  I think it's great.  It allows me to inflict even more pain on Ogden than I have before.  I don't even have to beat him to become the new champ.

Finch:  Would you rather be in a match where you did have to beat the champion?  Are you worried people wouldn't accept you as the new champion?

Violent P:  Why would I care?  While they are disputing the legitimacy of my title reign, I will be making more money and a name for myself.  Ogden won the title with outside interference and do you think he cares?  No, because he is champ, but tonight, he won't have any help, and his ass is mine.  You are looking at the new champ.

Finch:  Let's get back to the ring.

Land of Opportunity Match

Mr. Vain vs. Satan's Son vs. Recon Rage

From the opening bell, Mr. Vain and Recon Rage go after Satan's Son.  The two of them start to work him over, trapping him in the corner and putting the boots to him.  After that, all three men go to the outside, where Satan starts to build a comeback by sending Vain into the ring steps and then him and Rage start to trade right hands.  From behind, Vain comes back and nails Satan from behind.  The two get back into the ring, and Vain starts to use his power to take down Satan.  He sets up Satan for Powerbomb, but he is nailed in the back with a steel chair by Recon Rage.  Satan's Son rolls to the outside while Vain and Rage start to go at it.  Rage sends Vain into the ropes and goes for a clothesline, but Vain ducks and then hits a boot to the gut.  Vain goes to Powerbomb, but gets a low blow instead.  Rage sends Vain into the ropes again, and this time he takes him to the mat with a Powerslam.  Rage goes for the cover and three seconds later, Mr. Vain was eliminated.  As soon as the referee finishes the count, Satan's Son hits Rage from behind and picks him up.  Within seconds, Satan's Son sent Recon Rage crashing into the steel chair that remained in the ring with a Downward Spiral.  The referee registered the fall, making Satan's Son the winner.

Winner: Satan's Son

Dan Wilson:  Satan's Son stole this one from Recon Rage.  I hope he is happy.

James Robinson:  As much as I hate to say it Dan, but I don't think he stole anything.  Rage pinned Mr. Vain and Satan's Son waited on him.  There was no rest period, and he took advantage of that.  He nailed the Downward Spiral on the chair, which Rage brought in, and now he can name his match, any title, anywhere, anytime.

Wilson:  And who knows, he could very well face the man who is with Jennie Finch right now, the SMW Champion, Max Ogden.

(The camera comes back as it shows Jennie Finch standing by a group of security guards.  Suddenly two men walk through them, as Satan's Son and SMW Champion Max Ogden are seen as the crowd explodes in boos.)

Jennie Finch:  Ladies and gentlemen, I am standing here with "Mr. SMW" Max Ogden and the man who won the Land of Opportunity Triple Threat match over Mr. Vain and Recon Rage, Satan's Son.  Now Max, Mr. SMW, what are your thoughts on Violent P and your championship defense against him tonight inside of a Steel Cage?

Max Ogden:  My thoughts?  Well, if I'm supposed to be afraid of him, I'm not.  I mean come on, I made the stipulation.  And on Aggression, when Violent P Pedigreed me and got the 1, 2, 3, Satan's Son was taken to the outside of the ring, making it a 4 on 1 assault on me!  I got screwed over in that match, which is exactly why I requested a Steel Cage to be placed around the ring, so none of those bastards out there who want me out of SMW could make it happen.  Me, Max Ogden, Triple X, Mr. SMW, the reason that SMW is so great, they can't afford to lose me.  I beat a former King of Cable when I beat Shelton Benjamin.  Jennie, the women should close their eyes, the kids should go to sleep, and the fans should sit a few rows back, because I'm going to beat the living hell out of Violent P and spread his blood across the entire arena.  Violent P got a lucky 1, 2, 3 over me since he had three men helping him, but when it's just me and him in the ring, I will once again beat his ass…1, 2, 3.

Jennie Finch:  Well, no matter how many people hate you, few can argue with you about the fact you will win if they look at your past.  Now, in TWF we've seen you win two straight, and here in the SMW you are World Champion.  We know you are one of the best in the business, but Satan's Son, you have a chance at any title in the SMW. Which title will you be taking?

Satan's Son:  Which title?  Which title?  Well, wait until the next Aggression, because at that Aggression, I will announce my choice.  Joe Corey, Max Ogden and Satan's Son are the best things to happen to SMW since.... well, I can't remember anything good before us.  Joe Corey alone was the only reason SMW was alive, and thanks to Max Ogden becoming World Champion, and me becoming the superstar with the most potential, SMW is the new thing in town.  Now of course, Max Ogden is on TWF Rampage, and a top superstar at that, winning two straight, but believe me when I say this, winning matches in SMW and winning matches in TWF are both going to occur for Max, and for me…as long as Max holds that title, the SMW Champion won't have to worry, but if Max ever loses it.... Watch out!

Max Ogden:  Damn right Satan, damn right.  Now Jenny, I guarantee you and the rest of the world that I will retain my SMW Championship.  And when he gets the shot, Satan's Son will become whatever champion he wants to become.  And remember one thing about me, I'm a dream breaker, a temper shaker, and a Memory Maker, but most importantly I'm the best damn superstar today! How's that for an interview?

(Max Ogden, Satan's Son and the security guards all walk away as the crowd
boos their lungs out.)

James Robinson:  Strong words from Ogden, and he seems ready for this cage match.

Dan Wilson:  Yes he does, but so did Violent P when we saw him earlier.  And don't forget, Violent P defeated Max Ogden last week on Aggression.

Robinson:  Not only that, but so far tonight, no one has been able to hold onto their title.  And if he wants to remain in SMW, he needs to keep that title.  Well, it's time to stop talking about it, because here comes the cage.

SMW Championship Match in a Steel Cage

Violent P vs. Max Ogden (c)

Both men seemed out of their element, as neither of them had ever been in a Steel Cage match before.  They went to tie up, and for the first few minutes, the match resembled something of a technical showcase.  It wasn't until Max Ogden got Violent P into the corner that the match started to become more of what was expected.  As Ogden breaks away from P, he gets a kick below the belt for his trouble.  Violent P takes advantage of the opening, and he repeatedly sends Max into the cage.  Violent P keeps the pressure on Ogden, who has been busted open for the first time in his career.  After a strong offensive, Violent P goes for the Pedigree, but Ogden backdrops him directly into the steel cage, scraping his back open.  Max Ogden starts to get back to the offensive, raking Violent P's face into the cage, making it the same color as his hair.  With both men drained and a bloody mess, Ogden gathers all of his strength and goes for it all.  He picks up Violent P for the "Train Wreck, but Violent P shifts his weight and Ogden loses his grip.  After a quick boot to the gut, Violent P sends the champion to the mat with a thunderous Pedigree.  Both men lay on the mat, but P starts to move first, and he starts to climb up the cage.  Once he nears the top, Max Ogden starts to gather his senses, and he starts pulling himself towards the door.  Ogden reaches the door as Violent P starts to climb down the cage.  The referee's are both watching the two men, and Ogden starts to pull himself out of the ring and falls to the mats below.  However, as the referee goes to call for the bell, it has already rung on the signal of the other referee, who was watching Violent P's feet hit the ground below.

Winner and NEW SMW Champion: Violent P

Dan Wilson:  He did it, Violent P has become the new SMW Champion.  Not only that, but Max Ogden is now out of SMW forever.

James Robinson:  You're right Dan, the mandate stated that Max Ogden would only remain in SMW as long as he was champion, and he now no longer is.

Wilson:  And it is just how I told you it would happen, James.  I told you that if anyone got a chance to wrestle Max Ogden for the championship, without outside interference, then we would have a new champion.

(On the outside of the ring, the referees are confering, and it looks like there is an arguement.  From the back, President Corey, as well as Commissioner Plavljanich, come down to ringside.  The four of them hold a conference, and it seems that there is some dispute over who won the match.  One referee is saying that Violent P's feet hit the ground first, while the other refereee is saying that Max Ogden escaped through the door first.  They all decide to watch the replay on the big screen.  The first shot shows Violent P hitting the floor and the referee signaling for the bell.  The second shot showed Max Ogden crawling out the door and falling to the floor, with the referee calling for the bell.  Finally, a couple minutes later, there is a third shot that goes up on the screen.  It is a real time, split-screen shot of both men getting out of the ring.  That shot shows the final result.)

Ring Announcer:  Ladies and gentlemen, after confering with the offiicials a decision has been reached.  After reviewing the replays...the winner...and...STILL SMW CHAMPION...MAX OGDEN!!!

Dan Wilson:  What is going on here?  The referee raised the hand of Violent P, how did this happen?

James Robinson:  I don't know what there is to explain Dan.  You saw the same replays as I did, and in that last one, it may have been close, but it was obvious that Max Ogden escaped the cage first.  And now Max Ogden will remain here in SMW for the time being.

Wilson:  That may be so, but the other thing we know is that the SMW Championship will be on the line on Aggression, so don't miss it.  Goodnight everyone.
