SCARS & STRIPES

SMW

presents

(A video package starts up with a dark cloud hovering over the Cox Arena.  Lightning starts to clash as the impressions of Max Ogden and Violent P are seeing in the background.  A voice is heard saying "For many months, two men have waged war.  They have beaten each other, but have also beaten themselves.  What was thought to have been a dead end has now been repaved, and this road leads to nothing but evil deeds.  By the end of the night, one man will get his hand raised in victory, but both men will go for a ride…in an ambulance."  The scene then shifts to inside the Cox Arena where a huge pyro display goes off and Dan Wilson is shown at the announce table with James Robinson.)

Dan Wilson:  Welcome ladies and gentlemen to San Diego, CA.  Tonight SMW invades the Cox Arena as we present Scars & Stripes.  I'm Dan Wilson and alongside me is my broadcast partner, James Robinson.  I don't know about you James, but I'm in for one hell of a night here on the West Coast.

James Robinson:  I know what you mean Dan, and I don't think we will be disappointed.  Not only will all of the titles here in SMW be on the line, but we will also see some new faces here in SMW as they try to make a name for themselves.

Wilson:  But before that, we need to find out who is going to face Mariner tonight for the SMW Television Championship, so let's go to the ring for our first match here at Scars & Stripes.

#1 Contender for the SMW Television Championship

"The Submissions Man" Ted Huntsman vs. Satan's Son

From the opening bell, Ted Huntsman tries his best to catch Satan's Son in the Crossface and end this match early.  Both men look to catch the other off guard and end the match so they aren't too spent to face Mariner later in the night.  Uncharacteristically, Satan's Son uses a rear chin lock to wear down Huntsman, but "The Submissions Man" is able to power out and hit a German Suplex.  He catches Satan's Son off guard and locks in the Crossface, and Satan starts to scream in pain.  As Satan is about to grab the ropes, Huntsman breaks the hold and pulls him to the middle of the ring before reapplying the Crossface.  Satan's Son tries to roll out of the hold towards the ropes, but Huntsman holds on.  Just as he is looking to tap, Satan's Son tries to roll out again.  This time, Satan's Son hooks Ted Huntsman in a pining predicament, and also grabs the ropes.  The referee doesn't realize this and counts the fall, giving Huntsman his first defeat in SMW>

Winner:  Satan's Son

Dan Wilson:  Are you kidding me?  After all this time, the undefeated streak of Ted Huntsman has come to an end and in controversial fashion no less.

James Robinson:  I'm not saying that it was right, but the referee didn't see it.  If the referee doesn't see something, then it's like it didn't happen.  All we do know is that Satan's Son will no go on to face Mariner later on tonight to challenge for the SMW Television Championship.

Wilson:  And that is just one of our three title matches tonight.  And speaking of that, last week on Aggression we saw Violent P win the tournament to become the #1 Contender to the SMW Championship.  At this time, we are going to the office of SMW President Joe Corey, who has an announcement about tonight's Championship match.

(Backstage, President Joe Corey is shown at his office.)

Joe Corey:  Hello ladies and gentlemen, and thank you for joining us tonight for Scars and Stripes.  We have already started the night off with a great match, and the action won't stop there as we still have three title matches tonight.  Not only that, but I have decided to add another match to the card.  Last week on Aggression, we saw the debut of JJ "The Ram" Ramplin.  I was so impressed by him that I have decided to give him a match tonight.  Not only that, but I have decided to give two more people the opportunity to make a name for themselves as well.  That is why tonight, "The Ram" will take on the debuting Wyatt Earp and Thug in a triple threat match.  Now, as it pertains to the SMW Championship match later tonight between Max Ogden and Violent P, I have decided that this match needs a little something more.  The history of these two men spans many months  here in SMW, and it has been a very violent road, no pun intended.  That is why I have decided to make this a 2 out of 3 Falls match.  However, it won't be just any 2 out of 3 Falls match.  This match will be a 3 Stages of Hell match.  The first fall will be a straight up wrestling match.  The second fall will be decided in a Street Fight.  And finally, if a third fall is necessary, the SMW Championship will be suspended high above and the championship will be decided in a Ladder Match.  Now, let's get back to the ring and back to the action, thank you.

(Back at ringside)

Dan Wilson:  What an announcement from President Corey.  Not only will the SMW Championship be decided in a 2 out of 3 Falls match, but the third fall will be a ladder match.

James Robinson:  But they have to get to that third fall first.  However, before we get to the SMW Championship match, we still have a long way to go, so let's get to our next match, where there will be a lot of aggression in that ring.

(The team of Chris Cage and Tank Toland come to the ring.  They are then followed by Nova, who comes to the ring alone.  He then grabs a microphone and announces his mystery partner, someone that the team of Adrenaline are very familiar with…Simon Diamond.)

Nova/Simon Diamond vs. Adrenaline

Nova and Chris Cage star the match off, and they just commence to pound the hell out of each other.  Nova eventually falls back and tags in Simon Diamond, who doesn't have much better luck with Cage.  Cage and Toland make a couple of quick tags, and they consistently work on the arm of Diamond.  After Toland and Diamond both hit a clothesline on the other, they start to make their way to each other's corners.  As tags are made on both sides, Cage and Nova start to go at it again.  Cage sends Nova down with a big right hand, and then he does the same to Diamond.  He then hits a clothesline on Nova, and again takes Diamond down.  Turning his attention to Nova, Cage goes for a dropkick, but Nova ducks, and Toland, who was just getting back up, takes the move and falls to the arena floor.  Cage looks to end the match after bodyslamming Nova, and he heads to the top rope.  From the outside, Simon Diamond pushes Cage off the ropes, but Cage lands on his feet.  From out of nowhere, Tank Toland jumps onto the apron, grabs the head of Chris Cage, and sends him throat first into the top rope.  Cage falls backwards, and Nova hits the Kryptonite Krunch to pick up the win.

Winners:  Nova/Simon Diamond

Dan Wilson:  What the hell?  Tank Toland has cost his team the match up here, and in the process he has taken out his tag team partner.

James Robinson:  And we don't seem to be the only ones in shock.  Look at Nova, I don't think he can believe his eyes either.

Wilson:  It looks like we have seen the end of one of the great tag teams here in SMW, but we are also going to see the debut of a new one when "Mr. Charisma" Cameron Walter and J-Rod Jefferson team up to challenge for the SMW Tag Team Championship tonight.  Right now, Jennie Finch is standing by with the challengers.

(Backstage, Jennie Finch is standing by "Mr. Charisma" Cameron Walter and J-Rod Jefferson.)

Jennie Finch:  Thanks Dan, I'm standing here with the two men who are going to challenging for the SMW Tag Team…

"Mr. Charisma" Cameron Walter:  Damn it woman, why don't you stop talking and listen up, 'cause this is important.  Tonight, me and J-Rod are going to destroy the hell out of Joe Diano and Chad Collyer.

J-Rod Jefferson:  That's right, tonight we are going to kick the hell out of the Tag Champs and take those belts.

"Mr. Charisma":  Oh yeah, I almost forgot.  We have another little surprise for you guys tonight, but we'll save that one for the match.  See you boys soon.

(A video package is shown with still photos of last year's Lethal Lottery.  A voice is then heard in the background.)

Voice:  Last year, the SMW superstars formed allegiances in order to gain a shot at the SMW Championship.  Teams were formed that saw friends, foes, and sworn enemies on the same side.  We saw a startling debut, a shocking return, and the crowning of a new champion.  This year…we're doing it all over again.  Twenty SMW superstars will compete until only six remain.  Those six will go on to Battle Bowl to determine who will face the SMW Champion…THAT NIGHT!!!

(Back at ringside, Dan Wilson and James Robinson are sitting at the announce table as Thug is making his way to the ring.)

Dan Wilson:  That's right folks, the Lethal Lottery and Battle Bowl are returning this year.

James Robinson:  So stay tuned to SMW Aggression over the next few weeks, as teams will be announced and the first round will take place.  But before we get to Lethal Lottery, we still have a lot to go here tonight, right Dan?

Wilson:  That's right James, and as you can see, the newcomer Thug is already in the ring, so that must mean it's time for our impromptu Triple Threat Match.

Thug vs. Wyatt Earp vs. JJ "The Ram" Ramplin

Not much is known about Wyatt Earp or Thug, but the two start the match off by double teaming Ramplin, who is the only one in the match that the fans have seen in action before.  Both men start the match by showcasing their incredible power.  After sending "The Ram" to the outside, Thug and Earp start to get into it, and they exchange a succession of right hands.  Thug takes the advantage when he rams a knee into the midsection of Earp, and he follows that up with a DDT.  After gaining a two count, the fall is broken up with "The Ram" gets back into the ring.  With Earp down, Ramplin and Thug go at it, but it didn't take long for Wyatt to attack Thug from behind.  Ramplin grabbed the arms of Thug and held him up for Earp.  Wyatt bounced off the ropes for momentum, but at the last minute Thug freed himself and "The Ram" took the blow.  Thug tried to gain a quick win with a school boy, but Earp kicked out.  Thug then setup up Wyatt Earp for the Ghetto Blaster and connected.  However, before he could go for the pin, he was spun around by "The Ram", who hit Thug with a Rock Bottom and picked up the win before Wyatt Earp could break up the pin.

Winner:  JJ "The Ram" Ramplin

Dan Wilson:  Another big win for "The Ram" here in SMW, and you can be sure that he will be one of the twenty men who's names will be in that tumbler for Lethal Lottery.

James Robinson:  One thing we do know, there will be one man who's name won't be in that tumbler, and that is the SMW Champion Max Ogden.  That's because he will either be defending the SMW Championship against the winner of Battle Bowl, or he will be out of SMW all together.

Wilson:  Well, it won't be easy for him to get there, because tonight may prove to be too much for him if he can't win two out of three falls against Violent P.  But speaking of champions, we are being told that we have a camera standing by with the SMW Television Champion, Mariner.

(A camera is shown coming into Mariner's locker room.)

Mariner:  You think about knocking?

(The camera doesn't move)

Mariner:  You're here to get something out of me aren't you?

(The camera nods)

Mariner:  Well it feels good to be back here and defending my Television Title again.  Now since Satan Son's beat Ted Huntsman for the number one contender spot tonight, he thinks he's can just walk in and beat me like that.  Well, I already beat him before, so I have no problem wiping the floor with his ass again.  So, this title isn't going anywhere, it's going back around my waist and if you don't believe me, then just watch the match and if you don't like it, well then tough shit.

(Mariner pushes the cameraman out the door and shuts it.)

Dan Wilson:  Strong words from the champion and he feels that tonight will be no problem.

James Robinson:  We'll have to wait and see about that, but now it is time for our first of three title matches here tonight, so let's get back to the ring.

SMW Tag Team Championship

"Mr. Charisma" Cameron Walter & J-Rod Jefferson vs. Joe Diano & Chad Collyer (c)

Before the bell even rings, Walter and Jefferson are already attacking the champions.  "Mr. Charisma" starts the match against Joe Diano, and once he gets him in the corner, Cameron commences to pound the head of Diano.  A tag is them made, and J-Rod Jefferson makes his first appearance in an SMW ring.  His fast paced offense keeps Diano on the defensive, but a dropkick sends him falling back into the corner, where he tags Collyer.  Chad comes in like a house of fire, taking down both challengers, who retreat to the arena floor to regroup.  When J-Rod gets back in the ring, he tries to offer a handshake to Collyer, but he won't have any of it and charges at the challenger.  However, this is what J-Rod seemed to be looking for, because he took Collyer down with a drop toe hold.  After close to five minutes of dominating Chad Collyer, the challengers looked to pick up the win.  J-Rod Jefferson set Chad Collyer up in the corner and brought him down to the mat with a superplex.  At the same time, "Mr. Charisma" came off of another turnbuckle and connected with a Shooting Star Press at the same time of impact.  They call that move "Extreme Measures".  "Mr. Charisma" makes the cover, but Joe Diano is able to break up the pin at the last minute.  The referee starts to lose total control as all four men  end up in the ring.  From the back, a woman comes running out with a steel chair.  She slides the chair into the ring to "Mr. Charisma", and then gets up on the ring apron and distracts the referee.  Cameron Walters then waits for Chad Collyer to get up, measuring him for a wicked chair shot, but the chair is pulled out of his hands by Joe Diano.  Diano then winds up and dents the chair over Walter's head.  Out of nowhere, a bell his heard, and the referee is signaling for the end of the match.

Winners via Disqualification:  "Mr. Charisma" Cameron Walter & J-Rod Jefferson

James Robinson:  I can't believe this, the referee is calling for the bell, and this match is over.

Dan Wilson:  Diano and Collyer will keep the titles, but there is a much bigger story here.  That woman must be the surprise that Walter was talking about earlier in the night.

Robinson:  It looks to be so Dan, but her presence didn't pay off the way they wanted.  "Mr. Charisma" and J-Rod picked up the win, but they didn't win the titles.

Wilson:  That's true, but the win at least puts them into good position to gain another shot at those titles again very soon.

Robinson:  We are now going to head to the back again, as Jennie Finch is with the SMW Champion, Max Ogden.

(Backstage, Jennie Finch is shown with Max Ogden.)

Jennie Finch:  Ladies and gentlemen, I'm backstage with the SMW Champion, "The Memory Maker" Max Ogden.  Max, how do you feel about your 3 Stages of Hell match coming up with Violent P?

(Ogden smirks and lets out a little laugh.)

Max Ogden:  How do I feel about it?  I feel sorry for Violent P, that's how I feel.  And I know how Violent P is feeling...he's feeling scared.  He's hoping, praying to God that I don't let him win the Singles match.  Why?  Because then he'd not only have to go through a Street Fight...but a Ladder Match too!  I mean, why would he want to face ME in a Ladder Match?  But that's enough about him.  Do you remember back on December 15, 2004, two days after my birthday might I add, at Lethal Lottery?  Do you remember what happened?  Well, let me refresh your memory.

(Ogden steps back and takes a deep breath then pats his belt.)

Ogden:  Max Ogden and Carney defeated Spencer Hollywood and Steve Bradley one, two, three.  Then, Max Ogden overcame Chris Sabin, Mariner, Joe Diano, Chad Collyer and Carney to win Battle Bowl and earn a shot at the SMW Championship.  But wait, there's more.  In his third match of the evening, after a Tag Team Match and a Battle Bowl, totally energy drained, he got his chance to prove his guarantee.  You see, I guaranteed you Jennie, I told you I'd quit if I didn't win the SMW Championship!  And guess what happened?  Max Ogden lifted Recon Rage up for the "Train Wreck", and BAM!  It was over, 1, 2, 3... A new SMW Champion was crowned!  And you know what?  I've held this title for nearly a year now... Almost a year!  And Violent P, in his hundredth attempt to dethrone me now, will fail, like he has in the past, and like everyone else.  So Violent P, get ready, because this is gonna be your worst beating yet... And that's a damn fact!

(Ogden smiles at Jennie Finch and plays with her hair before leaving.)

Dan Wilson:  Well, it looks like the SMW Champion is ready, and he won't have to wait long, because that match is on deck.

James Robinson:  That's right, but first, we are going to see if Satan's Son has anything left in his tank, because his chance at the TV Championship is right now.

SMW Television Championship

Satan's Son vs. Mariner (c)

Mariner goes on the offensive immediately, trying to take advantage of Satan's Son's weakened state.  After already having a tough match earlier in the night, Satan didn't seem to have much left, but he fought off the champion.  Satan started to wear down Mariner with a neck vice, but the champion powered out.  After being hit with a spinebuster, the challenger looks to be done.  Sensing this, Mariner starts to walk around the ring declaring victory.  Mariner goes to pick up Satan's Son, but Satan jumps up and hits the Downward Spiral, but he is unable to go for the pin right away and only gets a two count.  Getting a second wind, Satan's Son sends Mariner into the ropes and hits a harsh clothesline.  After a powerslam, Satan's Son still can only get a near fall.  Satan's Son then picks Mariner up for a suplex, but Mariner is able to shift his weight, turns Satan's Son around, and nails a DDT that drives Satan's Son straight down.  Mariner goes for the pin, and Satan's Son has nothing left in him and the fall is registered.

Winner, and STILL SMW Television Champion:  Mariner

Dan Wilson:  A successful title defense by Mariner, although it seemed that Satan's Son was only seconds away from being the new champion.

James Robinson:  We wondered how much that match against Ted Huntsman earlier in the evening took out of Satan's Son, and I guess we found out.  I don't think this is over between these two men at all though, not with Satan's Son still having that contract for a title match at any time still in his back pocket.

(Backstage, President Corey is shown talking with Mr. Vain.  Satan's Son then comes into view as he enters the backstage area.)

Joe Corey:  Satan, come here for a second.  First off, I want to congratulate you for two fine matches tonight.  However, what I am about to say goes for the two of you.  For months now, Violent P and Max Ogden have been at each other's throats.  I want that to end tonight.  That is why, the two of you are going to come with me, and we are all going to watch this match on the monitor in my office, because I don't want either of you involved.

(Mr. Vain looks to be very unhappy with the decision President Corey has made, but Satan's Son doesn't look phased at all, and he starts to walk with Corey to his office.)

James Robinson:  Wow, that's a huge decision by President Corey as he has taken both Satan's Son and Mr. Vain out of the equation.

Dan Wilson:  And that's exactly what he has to do.  If the issue between these two is going to come to an end, then they need to settle it in the ring with no outside interference.  There comes a time when words no longer can describe the magnitude of something.  This is one of those times, so let's get to the ring for the start of this match

3 Stages of Hell Match for the

SMW Championship

First Fall

Violent P vs. Max Ogden (c)

Ogden and Violent P trade right hands in the aisle before Max even makes it to the ring.  They fight around the ring for close to five minutes before the bell is even rung.  Violent P seems determined to finally win the title from Max Ogden, and he sends him into the ring steps and guardrail repeatedly.  After finally getting in the ring, Violent P goes for a cover, but Ogden kicks out at two.  Violent P applies a sleeper hold, but Ogden whips his leg back and hits a low blow on P without the referee knowing.  Ogden composes himself and lifts Violent P up for the "Memory Maker", which gives him the first fall.

Winner:  Max Ogden (1-0)

Dan Wilson:  Max Ogden has done it.  The "Memory Maker" has proved to be enough to get the three count on Violent P here in the first fall, and now the champion is one fall away from retaining his title.

Second Fall/Street Fight

Violent P vs. Max Ogden (c)

Max Ogden puts the pressure on Violent P, trying to keep his momentum going in the second fall.  He goes to the outside and grabs a chair, and once he is back in the ring, he dents the chair over the back of Violent P.  Ogden goes for the "Memory Maker" again, but Violent P is able to slip out of the champion's grip, and then he hit a blatant kick below the belt.  Violent P then went to the outside, and he slid two tables into the ring, as well as bringing in a trash can.  The challenger raises the trash can in the air, but Ogden hits a kick to the gut, and then tries to hit a piledriver, but P backdrops him to the mat.  He then goes and sets up a table in the corner against the ropes, but when he turns around, he takes the trash can over the head.  With Violent P down, Ogden takes the other table and sets it up in front of another corner.  The champion then sets the challenger up in the corner, and tries to take him over with a superplex through the table, but it is blocked.  Violent P then nails a succession of punches to the gut, doubling Ogden over.  Running on adrenaline, Violent P then sets up Ogden and connects with the Pedigree…through the table.  The referee makes the count, and both men have one fall each.

Winner:  Violent P (1-1)

James Robinson:  OH MY GOD!!!  Violent P just Pedigreed Max Ogden off the top rope through a table.  We are all tied up now at one fall apiece, and the SMW Championship is now being hoisted high above the ring, as the third fall will be contested as a Ladder Match.

Third Fall/Ladder Match

Violent P vs. Max Ogden (c)

Both men start this match on the mat, being exhausted from the past two falls.  The ladder is positioned in the aisle way, and Ogden rolls out to the outside of the ring.  As Ogden starts to bring the ladder down the aisle, Violent P charges at him and sends him to the ground.  Violent P then throws Max Ogden into the guardrail, sending him into the crowd.  With Ogden out of commission, Violent P takes the ladder into the ring and slow starts to head up to the title.  His fingertips graze the championship, and he heads up one more rung, but he is sent to the mat with a top rope dropkick from Ogden.  With Violent P down, Ogden starts to slowly climb up the ladder himself, but he doesn't get too far before P grabs his foot.  The two trade punches, and in the end, Violent P ducks Ogden's punch and the hits Ogden with his own "Memory Maker".  With the champion down, Violent P climbs up the ladder and gets to the title.  With Ogden still on the mat, Violent P raises his arms in victory and then goes to take down the belt, but he is met with a steel chair to the back…by TANK TOLAND!!!  Violent P falls from the top of the ladder and crashes to the mat.  Toland helps Ogden to his feet and pulls him to the ladder, but Ogden has nothing left.  Toland then puts Ogden on his shoulders and rapidly climbs the ladder high enough for Ogden to take down and retain is title.

Winner, and STILL SMW Champion:  Max Ogden

Dan Wilson:  Come on!!!  Every time these two men get in the ring, they put their bodies on the line and leave it all in the ring, but something happens to mess it all up.  What is Tank Toland doing down here anyways.

James Robinson:  I have no idea Dan, but it seems like he and Max Ogden have formed some kind of partnership, because he has just saved the SMW Championship for Ogden.

Wilson:  Not only that, but he has made it so that Ogden remains here in SMW.  We'll have to see what goes on from here folks, but be sure not to miss Aggression, hopefully we will have some answers there.

Off-Air
