(The shot opens with Max Ogden walking around New York, SMW Championship in hand.  As he is shown walking, the faces of the ten men remaining in the Lethal Lottery periodically flash across the screen, as well as scenes of Ogden's title defenses over the past year.  Ogden finally makes his way into an empty Nassau Coliseum, which is mostly dark.  Ogden gets into the ring and looks around.)

Max Ogden: So, they say all good things must come to an end.

(Ogden looks down at the SMW Championship belt.  He then smiles and puts the belt back on his shoulder.)

Ogden: We'll just see about that!

(The camera zooms in on the SMW Championship and then goes black when all of the sudden…)

 

THE OFFICIAL THEME SONG FOR LETHAL LOTTERY "OUT OF EXILE" BY AUDIOSLAVE PLAYS AS A HUGE OPENING PYRO DISPLAY GOES OFF AND THE CAMERAS FOCUS ON THE 8000+ IN THE AUDIENCE, ALL WAVING THEIR SIGNS. THE CAMERAS THEN MOVE TO THE ANNOUNCE TABLE WHERE DAN WILSON AND JAMES ROBINSON HAD A FEW WORDS.

 

Dan Wilson: Welcome everybody to Lethal Lottery, one of the biggest events in SMW history.

 

James Robinson: And if you look up, you'll realize why.

 

Dan Wilson: That's right James, because tonight for the first time in SMW history, a match will take place inside the merciless hell in a cell.

 

James Robinson: But it's not just that. Tonight the greatest competitors SMW has to offer will sacrifice their bodies when five teams will fight their way into the battle bowl.

 

Dan Wilson: Oh baby, the all-famous battle bowl.

 

James Robinson: That's right, who will walk out tonight as the SMW Heavyweight champion?

 

Dan Wilson: Frankly, it could be one of the eleven superstars who are given the opportunity.

 

JOE COREY'S MUSIC HITS AND OUT HE COMES WITH A MICROPHONE. HOWEVER BEFORE HE COULD EVEN GET ONE WORD IN, AUSTIN PLAVLJANICH'S MUSIC HITS AND OUT HE COMES, MIC IN HAND AS WELL.

 

Joe Corey: So it's decided Mr. Plavljanich.

 

Austin Plavljanich: That's right, ladies and gentlemen, by random selection it has been decided who will face who and who will get the bye.

 

Joe Corey: For the first match of the night, it will be Dylan Page and J-Rod Jefferson taking on the likes of JJ Ramplin and "Lethal" Lenny Armstead.

 

Austin Plavljanich: Then it will be Joe Diano and Ashida Kim versus the greatest tag team in the history of SMW, Steve Bradley and Spencer Hollywood.

 

Joe Corey: Which means that Mr. Charisma and Jake Diamond will be getting the bye.

 

Austin Plavljanich:  So why not kick things off with the first match of the night.

 

Joe Corey: That's right, bring em' out!

 

Lethal Lottery Semi-final Match

JJ "The Ram" Ramplin & "Lethal" Lenny Armstead vs. Dylan Page & J-Rod Jefferson

This match was a hell of a way to kick off Lethal Lottery, as Ramplin and J-Rod kicked things off. Ramplin went to work on J-Rod from the get-go by irish whipping him to the corner and then following in with a giant spear. He then climbed on top and began punching J-Rod in the face as the crowd chanted on 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. After 10 punches, Ramplin jumped down and then went and punched Dylan Page off of the apron as "The Ram" chants started. Ramplin showed how bad he wanted to be in the battle bowl when he spinebuster'd J-Rod straight to hell, and then got down and began throwing wild punches at J-Rod's face. He then went and tagged in Lenny Armstead who immediately climbed up to the top rope. JJ Ramplin kneeled down and placed J-Rod on his knee. Armstead then leaped off the top rope a nailed a flying leg drop which nearly took J-Rod's head off. Lenny Armstead went for the cover but Dylan Page came in to break the count at 2. Lenny Armstead was furious and walked towards Dylan Page. They traded shots and the ref had seen enough so he attempted to break it up, but this gave J-Rod Jefferson the distraction he needed to low blow Ramplin from behind, and then deliver a devastating DDT. J-Rod then tagged in Page and the isolation began. Quick tags were made as Dylan Page and J-Rod Jefferson took turns beating on the isolated Lenny Armstead. J-Rod was back in again after a good 5-minute beating and lifted Armstead up for a double underhook suplex. However, Armstead showed his amazing aerial skills when he flipped over and landed on his feet, and as soon as J-Rod turned around, Armstead hit him with a jumping enziguri. Armstead then crawled to his corner and desperately made the tag. Ramplin came in with a head of steam and absolutely picked J-Rod apart when all of the sudden Dylan Page came in to help his partner. However Armstead had enough energy to literally leap into the ring and run at Dylan Page with a huge clothesline to the outside. Armstead then waited inside the ring and when Page finally got up, Armstead went for the springboard crossbody, which knocked Dylan Page right back down to the ground. The crowd was going absolutely nuts, as JJ Ramplin nailed J-Rod Jefferson with a huge powerslam. Ramplin then stalked his opponent and waited for him to get up and as soon as J-Rod got up and turned around, Ramplin gave him the "Ram Horns", which was executed with tremendous impact as J-Rod held his ribs and screamed in pain on the mat. Ramplin pinned J-Rod's shoulders down and mercifully got the 3 count.

Match Time: 7:46

Winners:  JJ "The Ram" Ramplin & "Lethal" Lenny Armstead

 

James Robinson: They've done it, they've done it!

 

Dan Wilson: JJ Ramplin and the youngster Lenny Armstead have made it to the battle bowl.

 

James Robinson: Can you imagine if Lenny Armstead wins the SMW heavyweight championship at his debut PPV appearance?

 

Dan Wilson: It would be quite an achievement and might be what it takes to get what each of these hard working superstars want, and that is to make it to the TWF.

 

James Robinson: Well, word is that Jennie Finch is standing by with Joe Diano in the back, so let's take you there.

 

(BACKSTAGE, JENNIE FINCH IS STANDING WITH JOE DIANO)

 

Jennie Finch: Joe, I wanted to get your thoughts firstly on you officially being in SMW for a year now.

 

Joe Diano: You know, when I came here to SMW all I wanted to do was be part of this business of ours in some way. SMW needed someone to run it and help get it back on track and so I decided that it would be my chance to be apart of this great organization. During my time as president, I think I did exactly that so then after a long time of helping make everyone's dreams come true, I decided that it was time to live mine and here I am a wrestler and a former Tag Team champion and so my thoughts on my first full year in wrestling are… well to borrow a line from my bud AJ Styles, simply phenomenal!

 

Jennie Finch: Later on tonight for the second time in your career, you along with your partner Ashida Kim are in the second round of lethal lottery in a match against the team of Spencer Hollywood and Steve Bradley. The question is, do you think you along with Ashida can have the same type of performance as last week?

 

Joe Diano: Well, Bradley and Hollywood are a more accomplished team than the one we faced last week but fact is, Ashida is a world class athlete and I have proven that I am much more than what everyone might have thought I was, so yes I do think we can have the same type of performance as last week, if not better.

 

Jennie Finch: Lastly, what do you hope you can accomplish tonight?

 

Joe Diano: What do I hope to accomplish? Two things! Firstly, to get one step closer to Max Ogden and that title… and secondly, with gods help I want to relieve Max Ogden of that title and walk out of here tonight with it.

 

(ASHIDA KIM IS SHOWN WALKING IN A HALLWAY WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN A STRANGE MAN IN A BLACK SUIT AND A WIDE BRIM BLACK HAT COMES INTO THE SCENE)

Ashida Kim: *glares*

Man: *with a distinct Italian accent* My name is Aldo Corleone. You see I am a very powerful man here in New York, and that is why I am approaching you with a business proposal.

Ashida Kim: *glares*

Aldo Corleone: I scratch your back, you scratch mine. That is how it's gonna work from here on out. Here, have a cigar…

Ashida Kim: *glares*

Aldo Corleone: No? Well alright, let's walk, we got a lot of catching up to do.

 

(BACK AT RINGSIDE)

 

Dan Wilson: What in the hell was that?

 

James Robinson: I'm not sure what that was about, but I sure as hell know that with those two on the same page, they could be quite a dominant team here in SMW.

 

Dan Wilson: Well what we do know is that coming up next, it will be Joe Diano and Ashida Kim taking on Steve Bradley and Spencer Hollywood, in what should be quite the showdown.

 

James Robinson: Well they looked quite well on the last edition of Aggression together, but now that they have to take on a more experienced team, let's see how they fare.

 

Lethal Lottery Semi-final Match

Ashida Kim & Joe Diano vs. Spencer Hollywood & Steve Bradley

As the bell rang, it looked like Steve Bradley was starting things off against Ashida Kim. Both men went for the lock-up, and Bradley caught Ashida Kim in a headlock, and whipped him into the ropes. When Kim came back, Bradley delivered an arm drag. However, Ashida Kim popped back to his feet and gave Steve Bradley an arm drag of his own, followed up by an armbar. Steve Bradley twisted his way out of it and irish whipped Ashida Kim to the ropes and following it with a hip toss that Ashida Kim reversed into a hip toss hold of his own. He was punching Steve Bradley in the abdomen and kipping his legs up, hitting a hurricanrana that sent Steve Bradley flying back to his own corner. Steve Bradley was frustrated and tagged in Spencer Hollywood. Ashida Kim went in for another lock-up, but was met with a kick to the gut followed by a hard forearm to the back, sending him to his knees. Getting behind him, Spencer Hollywood immediately tried to lock in a full nelson submission, but Ashida Kim rolled forward and caught Spencer Hollywood's legs in a cradle for the 1...2... but Hollywood kicked out. Spencer Hollywood got right out of it and rushed forward with a stiff clothesline that sent Ashida Kim down to the mat hard, almost flipping in mid-air, landing awkwardly on his side. Not going for the cover, he landed a few stomps to Ashida Kim's downed body and taunted Joe Diano to try and come in and help. Joe Diano took the bait, and the ref stopped him from entering the ring. With the referee distracted, Steve Bradley came in and helped with the beat down, getting a few kicks in of his own before slapping his hands together as Spencer Hollywood went back to the apron. Steve Bradley locked in a rear chinlock and locked it in real tight as Ashida Kim winced in pain. However, eventually the crowd got behind him and Ashida Kim elbowed his way out of the hold before going up to the top rope and delivering a huge spinning heel kick, which knocked Steve Bradley off his feet. Ashida Kim then went to his partner and made the tag. Joe Diano came in with a head of steam and hit a huge German suplex on Bradley, before knocking Spencer Hollywood off the apron with a forearm to the chin. Diano then went and tagged Ashida Kim back in. Diano whispered something in Kim's ears and then went to lift Steve Bradley up. Diano irish whipped Bradley right into Ashida Kim who hit a gigantic "Jade Blade" which nearly knocked Bradley's teeth down his throat. Ashida Kim went down for the cover and the ref made the easy three count.

Match Time: 6:31

Winners: Ashida Kim & Joe Diano

 

Dan Wilson: There it is, Joe Diano is one step closer to getting Max Ogden one on one.

 

James Robinson: Hold it, he still has to make it through the battle bowl, which won't be easy.

 

Dan Wilson: Well nonetheless, Joe Diano and Ashida Kim have advanced to the battle bowl!

 

(BACKSTAGE JJ "The Ram" RAMPLIN IS SEEN TALKING TO "The Submissions Man" TED HUNTSMAN)

 

Ted Huntsman: Congrats on the big win man, I can't wait for you to win the battle bowl and finally put Max Ogden in his place.

 

JJ "The Ram" Ramplin: Now that I have advanced to the battle bowl, I am one step closer to my dream of becoming the next SMW champion. It means the world to me just that I have gotten this far, and I'll be taking no prisoners once I get to the battle bowl. As for winning it and then facing "Mr. SMW" Max Ogden for the title, I look forward to kicking his ass and booting him outta the SMW door for good!

 

Huntsman: Good luck out there.

 

(BACK AT RINGSIDE)

 

James Robinson: It would be the biggest thing in JJ Ramplin's professional wrestling career if he were to win the SMW championship tonight, and to tell you the truth I am rooting for him.

 

Dan Wilson: Well coming up next will be a no disqualification fatal four way match. This won't be your traditional elimination match, as it will be a one fall to finish. That man leaving tonight with his SMW contract still intact, and the other 3, well they'll be leaving tonight and never coming back to an SMW ring.

 

James Robinson: I can only imagine what's going through the mind of these 4 competitors, and it's gonna be interesting seeing what these guys will do to leave here tonight with an SMW contract.

 

Shane Starr vs. Violent P vs. Thug vs. Simon Diamond

It didn't take long for these 4 men to get into an all out war as each man was not just fighting for a victory but also for their career, and you saw that intensity in each of the superstar's eyes. Violent P went at it with Simon Diamond, which left Shane Starr to go at it with Thug. Violent P hit Diamond with a spinning heel kick followed by a standing senton. Violent P picked Diamond up and threw him out of the ring, and then followed him out before smacking his head right on the steel steps. As this was happening, Thug speared Shane Starr into the corner. He then followed in with several right hands before lifting him up onto the top turnbuckle. However when Thug climbed up to go for the superplex, Shane Starr headbutted him multiple times and eventually Thug fell off and crashed into the mat. Starr then stalked him from the top rope and as soon as Thug got up and turned around, Shane Starr jumped in the air and dropped him with an unbelievable sunset-flip powerbomb. "Holy Shit" chants began in the crowd. Shane Starr went for the cover but Thug was up at 2. Shane Starr got up and nailed a standing moonsault and stayed on top for the cover, but yet again Thug was up at 2. Simon Diamond and Violent P were just focusing on each other and began trading right hands, but they weren't paying attention to the ever opportunist Shane Starr who ran and flipped out of the ring, taking both Simon Diamond and Violent P down. However Thug had recovered at this point and ran right through the ropes with a suicide dive, but Shane Starr rolled out of the way and Thug's shoulder smacked right against the announce table. Thug screamed in pain as the ref went to check him out. Simon Diamond was up at this time and grabbed the timekeeper's chair. He slammed it against Violent P's forehead and then against Shane Starr's. The ref could do nothing about it due to the no DQ stipulation, so Simon Diamond hit Thug in the injured shoulder a shocking 6 times. He then finished off by placing Thug's injured arm in between the closed folding chair. Diamond then went onto the apron and jumped off with a stomp onto the chair, which in case it wasn't already broken, certainly shattered the bone in Thug's shoulder. Simon Diamond then picked Thug up and threw him into the ring and then followed in. Diamond hooked his leg and went for the three count, but luckily enough Shane Starr got up and hit a huge springboard leg drop right onto the back of Diamond's neck which broke the count. However when Shane Starr turned around, he had a DDT waiting for him by Violent P who had recovered from the chair shot. But Simon Diamond had gotten up and ran at Violent P with a jumping clothesline, which took them both to the outside. Thug was up but was obviously hurt bad and lifted Shane Starr up. Thug ran to the ropes and run back hoping for a clothesline, but Starr ducked down and dodged it and when Thug turned around, Shane Starr levelled him up with a superkick. Starr then went out on the apron and stalked his opponent from there. As soon as Thug got up, Shane Starr hit his rendition of the west coast pop and then stayed on as the ref counted 1…2…3. Shane Starr was ecstatic to still be under TWF contract and raised his arms in victory. 

Match Time: 8:23

Winner: Shane Starr

 

(HOWEVER, SHANE STARR'S VICTORY WAS SHORT-LIVED WHEN OUT OF NOWHERE, A MAN CLOSE TO 7 FEET TALL MARCHED TOWARDS THE RING. THE MOUNTAIN OF A MAN ENTERED THE RING AND DELIVERED AN UNMERCIFUL BOOT TO FACE ON SHANE STARR. THE MAN WAS THEN RECOGNIZED AS BIG EVIL NATE BY JAMES ROBINSON WHO ANNOUNCED IT TO THE CROWD. BIG EVIL NATE PICKED SHANE STARR OFF THE GROUND BY THE THROAT, AND LIFTED HIM UP AT LEAST 8 FEET IN THE AIR BEFORE THROWING HIM DOWN WITH TREMENDOUS IMPACT. BIG EVIL NATE LIFTED SHANE STARR UP ONE MORE TIME AND DELIVERED A HUGE POWERBOMB TYPE MOVE BEFORE LEAVING THE RING TO A LOT OF BOOS. EMT'S CAME OUT AND PLACED SHANE STARR ON A STRETCHER, BUT ALL OF THE SUDDEN BIG EVIL NATE DECIDED THAT HE WANTED MORE. BIG EVIL NATE TURNED AROUND AND GRABBED THE STRETCHER WHICH SHANE STARR WAS STRAPPED IN ON, AND THREW IT RIGHT OVER. SHANE STARR WAS CLEARLY OUT COLD WHEN BIG EVIL NATE LIFTED THE STRETCHER UP. HE WITH TWO HANDS TOSSED IT UP IN THE AIR MAYBE 15 FEET BEFORE IT CAME CRASHING DOWN ONTO THE HARD FLOOR. BIG EVIL NATE SPAT IN SHANE STARR'S FACE BEFORE LEAVING THE ARENA TO THE BIGGEST HEAT OF THE NIGHT.)

 

James Robinson: You have got to be kidding me? You're a big man Nate, going after someone maybe half your size.

 

Dan Wilson: That just disgusts me, Shane Starr did nothing to deserve that.

 

James Robinson: As much as I hate to say it, he did make quite an impact on his first night in SMW.

 

Dan Wilson: But not one that went over well with the fans.

 

James Robinson: You can say that again.

 

(BACKSTAGE IN MARINER'S LOCKER ROOM, MARINER IS SEEN LOOKING AT HIMSELF IN THE MIRROR WITH AN INTENSE LOOK ON HIS FACE)

 

Mariner: They always say steel cage matches are the matches that end feuds and careers but not tonight. Satan's Son you've been a thorn in my side for a few months now and honestly it's getting to me. You took my TV title from me without even beating me but I don't care about that now. The only thing I care about is ending your damn career in this cell tonight and after I end your career I'm going for the SMW title and send Max Ogden packing.

 

(MARINER TURNS AROUND AND WALKS OUT THE DOOR WITH A VERY STERN LOOK ON HIS FACE, WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE SHOT FADES OUT, AND A VIDEO PACKAGE BEGINS…)

 

*Shots of Satan's Son at Overload where he pretty much stole the TV title from Mariner without even pinning him is shown, followed by a few shots with him holding the belt. Shots are then shown of Satan's Son screwing Mariner out of the lethal lottery 1st round match, and then a voice is heard… "After having your title, a potential shot at the SMW heavyweight championship, and your pride being stripped from you, what else is there to lose?… Absolutely nothing!" The screen turns black, and when it comes back on "Out of Exile" by Audioslave plays and shots are shown of each superstar's greatest moments. Shots are then shown of them trading shots, and finally Mariner announcing that the two would meet in a hell in a cell. The package ends with both men staring each other down, as the hell in a cell flashes in the background and the voice is heard again, "this one isn't about titles, it isn't about money, this is personal."*

 

Hell in a Cell Match

Satan's Son vs. Mariner 

Mariner ran into the ring and went to taunt up on the turnbuckle. Satan's Son decided to waste no time and ran at Mariner, shoving him from behind off the turnbuckle onto the outside, slamming his forehead against the unforgiving steel as the action got underway. Satan's Son climbed out of the ring and lifted Mariner up. He then Irish whipped Mariner shoulder-first into the steel steps. Satan's Son lifted Mariner up by the head and started scraping his face against the steel cell as Mariner screamed in pain. At this point, Mariner was busted open and things were looking good for Satan's Son, as he reached under the ring and grabbed a steel chair. However out of desperation, Mariner got up and lowblowed Satan's Son from behind. Mariner then lifted up the steel chair and cracked it off the skull of Satan's Son, busting him open. As Satan's Son was getting up, Mariner climbed up onto the turnbuckle in the ring, and stalked his opponent. Satan's Son got up on the outside, but was immediately knocked down again when Mariner jumped off with a missile dropkick from the top to the outside. Mariner then lifted Satan's Son up and threw him into the ring. Mariner followed in and pinned Satan's Son's shoulders down to the mat as the ref made the count but Satan's Son was up at 2 and a half. Mariner then ran to the corner and leaped up to the top rope and then hit a moonsault to perfection right on Satan's Son. He then went for the cover but again Satan's Son was up at 2 and a half. Mariner lifted Satan's Son up at clotheslined him to the outside. He then ran and suicide dived through the second and third ring rope but Satan's Son desperately moved out of the way and Mariner went head first into the steel. Just like that, Satan's Son was back in control as he lifted Mariner up and repeatedly smacked his head against the steel cage. Satan's Son picked up the steel steps and as Mariner got up, he bulldozed him over and took Mariner inside out. Satan's Son then reached under the ring and grabbed a table. He placed it in the ring and then set it up in the center of the ring. Satan's Son then turned around to get Mariner but apparently Mariner was already up as from the outside, as he grabbed Satan's Son's foot and pulled him to the outside. Mariner then began throwing lefts and rights until Satan's Son just fell to the floor. Mariner took two chairs from under the ring and tossed one to Satan's Son. Satan's Son was clueless and caught the chair as Mariner took the other one he was holding and smacked it against Satan's Son's chair and nailed Satan's Son right in the face. He then lifted Satan's Son up and threw him into the ring. Mariner followed in and as Satan's Son got up, Mariner knocked him in the forehead with the steel chair once again and Satan's Son fell right onto the table. Mariner then went to the top rope as the whole crowd stood up. However, Mariner began waving his index finger in the air as if saying no. He then jumped down and rolled out of the ring. The whole crowd exploded with Mariner chants as he pulled out a ladder from under the ring and placed it inside the ring. He then climbed in and set the ladder up in one corner. Mariner climbed up the ladder and nailed a frogsplash from 10 feet in the air and crushed Satan's Son through the table. "HOLYSHIT, HOLYSHIT" chants rung through the crowd. Satan's Son was out cold and easily would've been down for the 3 count, but Mariner seemed to have injured his leg on the way down. Mariner was wincing in pain as he finally got up, and he "cut the air" signalling that the end was near. He lifted Satan's Son up but as he did so, Satan's Son seemed to have pulled something out of his wrestling boot. Mariner lifted Satan's Son up for the H-Bomb, but it was finally revealed what Satan's Son pulled out of his boot, which was brass knucks! As Mariner was about to slam Satan's Son down with the H-Bomb, in the air Satan's Son punched Mariner in the top of the head with the brass knuckles. Mariner fell right to the mat and was knocked out cold. The ref was checking up on Mariner but Satan's Son shoved the ref away, picked Mariner up, and delivered an unmerciful Downward Spiral. Satan's Son then hooked the leg and the ref had no choice but to count to three as the crowd echoed with boos.

Match Time: 16:22

Winner: Satan's Son

 

James Robinson: Not this way! Not this way!

 

Dan Wilson: One of the greatest matches in SMW history ending in one of the worst ways in SMW history. Satan's Son just single handedly stole the victory.

 

James Robinson: I never really had any respect for this cheater, but of what respect I had I just completely lost for him.

 

Dan Wilson: Hopefully we'll see Mariner get back at Satan's Son, but I'm not sure if it will be anytime soon as Mariner seemed to have been hit hard with those knucks.

 

James Robinson: Not to mention his leg when he came down with that frogsplash, it smacked the ground.

 

Dan Wilson: Well all we can do is hope for the best.

 

(BACKSTAGE, JENNIE FINCH IS STANDING WITH THE SMW CHAMPION, MAX OGDEN)

 

Jennie Finch: So Max, you have personally scheduled this interview so is there something you would like to get out?

 

Max Ogden: First off, it's Mr. SMW to you. And secondly, yeah I scheduled this so that I can address the crowd. You see I have been here for a real long time, and have been the longest reigning SMW champion of all time. I have fought the best and I have beaten the best. Tonight I will defend my title to one of six people. What I'm saying is this… if I don't win out there tonight, I will personally sign my release form from SMW.

 

(JAKE DIAMOND COMES INTO THE PICTURE)

 

Jake Diamond: You know I can honestly say that since the day you came to SMW I have been waiting for you to say that. You're like a cancer in this business and tonight when I win the battle bowl, I will hold you up on that offer when I pin you, take that belt from you, and send you packing.

 

(THE TWO GET IN EACH OTHER'S FACES AND STARE EACH OTHER DOWN WITH A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF INTENSITY AS THE SHOT FADES OUT AND THE CAMERAS ARE BROUGHT BACK TO THE RING)

 

James Robinson: It is now time for the battle bowl.

Dan Wilson: The battle bowl went really well the last time it happened back in December 2004.

 

James Robinson: Yeah, Max Ogden won the battle bowl and then went on to defeat Recon Rage for the SMW Heavyweight championship.

Battle Bowl

Jake Diamond vs. "Mr. Charisma" vs. Joe Diano vs. Ashida Kim vs. "The Ram" vs. Lenny Armstead

All six competitors took their time and stared each other down for the first few minutes. All of the sudden Diamond, Diano, Ashida Kim, Ramplin and Armstead decided that they had one thing in common, and that was that they all couldn't stand Cameron Walter. All 5 of these superstars beat the crap out of Mr. Charisma, each giving him their patented finishers, until eventually Ashida Kim ran and clotheslined Mr. Charisma over the top rope and to the floor. However, Ashida Kim's luck ran short too when Lenny Armstead came from behind and lifted Ashida Kim over and to the floor, sending him to the showers as well. It now became every man for himself as Jake Diamond went for Lenny Armstead, and JJ Ramplin went for Joe Diano. Diamond and Armstead traded rights and lefts before Armstead finally kicked Diamond in the gut and hit a jumping knee to the face. Armstead then went and climbed to the top rope before coming off with a hangover leg drop, which was landed with perfection. While this was happening, Joe Diano and The Ram took it to the mat, going back and forth with several submission manuevers. Diano caught him in an Indian death lock and it was locked in tight. Lenny Armstead seemed to have control over Jake Diamond when he nailed a fisherman suplex and then springboarded off the middle rope for his version of the "lionsault". Armstead tried to lift Jake Diamond over the top rope, and it looked like Jake Diamond was about to hit the showers. However out of nowhere Jake Diamond wrapped his legs around Lenny Armstead's neck, and hurricanrana'd him over the top rope and to the floor. Jake Diamond then turned around and clotheslined Joe Diano from behind which broke him out of the Indian death lock, which he had expertly locked in. Jake Diamond Irish whipped Diano to the corner and then ran in with a splash. JJ Ramplin was up and stalked Jake Diamond from behind, signalling for the "Ram Horns". However when he ran at Diamond, Diamond dodged it and JJ Ramplin ran right into Joe Diano who was laid out in the corner with a massive spear. However when The Ram turned around, Jake Diamond was waiting for him as he ran at him with a huge clothesline, which took him over the top rope and eliminated him from the battle bowl. Jake Diamond then took advantage of the fallen Joe Diano and began stomping on him. Diamond then lifted him up and hit a delayed vertical suplex, before locking in a sleeper hold. Joe Diano fed off the crowd's cheers and eventually elbowed his way out of the sleeper. Joe Diano ran at Jake Diamond with a clothesline, but Diamond ducked and ran to the ropes and came back with a clothesline of his own, which Joe Diano blocked. Diano then spun him around before Jake Diamond knew what happened, Diano hit the "Diano Dream". "Diano, Diano, Diano" chants rung through the crowd as Joe Diano rolled out of the ring under the first rope and grabbed the timekeeper's chair. He brought it into the ring and waited for Jake Diamond to get up. Diano hit him over the head with it 2 times, which set Jake Diamond up leaning on the ropes. Joe Diano realized that he could put Jake Diamond away right then and there so he ran to the ropes and ran back, hoping to hit Jake Diamond with the steel chair to knock him out of the ring, but Jake Diamond saw it coming, bent down and back body dropped Joe Diano over the top rope and to the floor.

James Robinson: He's done it! Jake Diamond has won this year's battle bowl and will go on to face Max Ogden for the SMW heavyweight championship next.

SMW Championship Match

Jake Diamond vs. Max Ogden (c)

This was truly a showcase of two of the best that SMW has to offer as Jake Diamond and Max Ogden stared each other down, but it was obvious that Jake Diamond was extremely fatigued from his amazing performance in the battle bowl. The two circled around each other as the anticipation grew bigger and bigger. Jake Diamond finally went in for a lockup and Ogden followed in. However it wasn't the most conservative lockup as it ended with Ogden stomping on Diamond's foot and then slapping him right across the face. Jake Diamond looked really pissed as Max Ogden ran to the ropes and when he came back, he had a gigantic clothesline waiting for him. Diamond waited for Ogden to get up and as soon as he did Diamond slapped him across the face as revenge, sending him to the mat and attracting many cheers from the crowd. Diamond then went on the attack and threw non-stop left and right hands before grabbing him and delivering a perfect fisherman suplex. Diamond made a bridge as the ref went for the cover but Ogden managed to get his shoulder up at 2. Diamond then lifted Ogden up and Irish whipped him to a corner. He then ran in but Ogden had an elbow waiting for him, and then ran at him with a neckbreaker. Ogden lifted him up and then went for the German suplex and nailed it. He held on and went for a second one in a row, but Jake Diamond showed tremendous athleticism when he backflipped over Max Ogden and landed on his feet. He then countered with a German suplex of his own. Ogden looked as if he was on another planet and Jake Diamond capitalized with a cradle piledriver, which nearly rendered Max Ogden unconscious. Diamond then took it to the mat and locked in a Boston crab as Ogden winced in pain. However Ogden rolled over and turned it into a roll up pin but Diamond was up at 2 and both men got up. Diamond ran into Ogden, who delivered an arm drag. Ogden then ran into Diamond who replied with an arm drag of his own. Both men got up and stared each other down as the crowd cheered on to this classic championship match-up. Jake Diamond ran at Ogden with a clothesline and took him inside out. When Ogden got up, Jake Diamond had another clothesline waiting for him. But as he attempted at a third clothesline, Ogden ducked down and grabbed onto Diamond's shoulder before nailing a perfect t-bone suplex. Ogden then ran and springboarded off the second rope and hit a leg drop which nearly decapitated Jake Diamond. He went for the cover but Diamond hand his leg on the rope at 2. Ogden then lifted Jake Diamond up and set him up on the top rope. Ogden climbed up top and nailed a gigantic superplex off the top rope that literally shook the ring. Ogden went for the cover yet again, but Jake Diamond desperately kicked out at 2. Max Ogden screamed in frustration and had a look on his face as if trying to figure out what to do next. Ogden went to one of the corners and pulled off the padding on the turnbuckle, exposing the steel. However the ref caught him and went to tie it back on but as he did so, Max Ogden ran out of the ring and brought in his championship belt. He ran at Jake Diamond and knocked him right in the face with the belt, which busted Jake Diamond wide open. Max Ogden had a sick smirk on his face as he ditched the evidence and went for the cover, but to the shock of Max Ogden and everyone in the building, Jake Diamond kicked out! Ogden's face was red with frustration as he lifted Jake Diamond up. He then got into position and attempted at a crucifix backbreaker, but with everything that Jake Diamond had, he slid down Ogden's back and landed on his feet. He then spun Ogden around and nailed the "Perfect Gem". Diamond collapsed to the mat as he draped his arm on Ogden's chest and the ref counted to 3.

James Robinson: And we all know what that means! Max Ogden is officially out of SMW!

 

Dan Wilson: Wait look at this!

 

(JAKE DIAMOND WAS AWARDED HIS BELT. HE CELEBRATED WITH IT FOR A BIT, BUT AS SOON AS MAX OGDEN GOT UP, DIAMOND LOOKED SHOCKED TO SEE OGDEN WALK TOWARDS HIM AND OFFER HIS HAND.  DIAMOND HESITATED FOR A MINUTE, BUT SOON ACCEPTED THE HANDSHAKE FROM OGDEN.  CHANTS OF "THANK YOU OGDEN" CAME FROM THE CROWD, WHO REALIZED THAT THIS WAS OGDEN'S LAST MATCH IN SMW.  OGDEN RAISES HIS HAND IN ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE CROWD AND THEN POINTS TO DIAMOND AND CLAPS AS HE EXITED THE RING, TELLING THE FANS TO EMBRACE THE NEW CHAMPION.  DIAMOND CONTINUED TO CELEBRATE AS HIS LONGTIME TAG PARTNER, DYLAN PAGE, ENTERS THE RING TO JOIN HIM AS THE SHOW CLOSES OUT.)
