Al Snow: "Hello folks and welcome again to TWF Uprising, the show that brings to you the talent of tommorow. I'm Al Snow and although it seems I'm working alone tonight, I am here with Mike Norton".
Mike Norton: "You're used to being alone Al".
A PROMO PICTURE FEATURING THE UPRISING LOGO IN THE BACKGROUND POPS UP WITH MR. PERFECT, EDDIE GUERRERO, RHYNO AND YUJI MATASAMO.
Al Snow: "What a main event we have tonight as one of those four men will become the brand new TWF Intercontinental champion and although I think it should be me, any of these guys could walk out of here with it".
Norton: "My money is on Rhyno. He knows what it takes to get there and he's against three guys he holds a serious power advantage over".
Scott Cross vs. Shelton Benjamin This was a terrific battle of youth as Cross for the first time displayed an attack on a singled out body part, rendering Benjamin's right leg useless. He then blocked a belly to belly suplex and hit the "Fall from Greatness" to win it. Match Time: 10:37 Norton: "It was too early for Benjamin to get the call up. He's really inexperienced". Snow: "That stuff is gonna happen. It doesn't become a success overnight! It'll take time and he'll get there but Cross gets more and more impressive each time out". SMW Match: Essa Rios vs. LoKi Loki showed why he may be the most sought after guy in SMW someday, putting on a show with stiff kicks and totally taking Rios' aerial assault away. After whipping Rios to the corner and catching him with a cartwheel kick, LoKi hit the "Ki Krusher" to put Rios away as the crowd went nuts. Match Time: 3:51 Snow: "I love that move! By far the best I've seen anyone ever do". Norton: "I gotta say, that is a devastating move, I like this guy Loki". Snow: "He's ready to wreak havoc in this company if they ever realize his potential". PRIOR TO COMMERCIAL.... BACKSTAGE.... CHUCK AND BILLY ARE TALKING AMONGST EACH OTHER WHEN AUSTIN PYROMANIA COMES UP. Billy: "Oh look here, if it isn't Billie Jean King". Pyromania: "Look who's talking. Listen, I'm not here to tell jokes. I want one of you guys in the ring, one more time tonight". Billy: "Man, how many times do we gotta beat ya"? Chuck: "No hold on Billy, I think I got an idea. HE WHISPERS IN BILLY's EAR. Chuck: "Alright, you're on, under one condition. If we win, you have to become our personal trainer". Pyromania: "As much as I'd hate to do that, I'm confident in my ability so you got a deal". PYROMANIA WALKS AWAY AS UPRISING GOES TO COMMERCIAL.... COMMERCIAL.... RETURN FROM BREAK.... RINGSIDE.... The Body Donnas w/Terri vs. Saturn and Spike Saturn and Spike worked as a well oiled machine, tagging in and out a total of 11 times compared to Skip and Kip's three. After Spike took Skip out of the ring with a clothesline, Saturn ignored an attempt to distract him made by Terri and hit the spinning fisherman suplex on Kip after ducking a clothesline to pick up the 1...2...3. Match Time: 9:42 Norton: "How could you ignore Terri? Well, I guess if you're Saturn you're not used to women". Snow: "Well in this case, it was the right move because he and Spike have won another match". Sabu vs. Muta w/Masa Chono This was easily the best match of the night as fans of several promotions have wanted to see this one for years. After taking knifedge chop after knifedge chop, Sabu scored with a rebound spinning wheel kick off the middle ring rope after Muta tried to whip him in. Muta went for the mist after blocking a roundhouse kick but Sabu ducked it and in the same motion, swept Muta's feet out from under him. After Chono tried to get involved, referee Mike Sparks sent him to the back but Muta used an undetected mule kick low blow and then hit a shining wizard to get a huge win for himself. Match Time: 8:12 COMMERCIAL.... RETURN FROM BREAK... BACKSTAGE.... MUTA AND CHONO ARE SHOWN CELEBRATING THEIR VICTORY WHEN KEVIN NASH APPROACHES. Kevin Nash: "Hey boys, what's up? Nice win out there Muta". MUTA NODS HIS HEAD. Nash: "Well boys, me and the other boys of the NWO agree that you two aren't pulling your weight and you seem to have your own agenda. Now granted, you have this problem with Tatsumi Fujinami over in New Japan but those boys are only allowed to work with this company on certain dates. Now you guys saw what happened to X-Pac when he proved he wasn't a team player. We need you guys to be focused. When you're NWO, you're NWO for life, ya got it"? BOTH CHONO AND MUTA NOD THEIR HEADS YES. Nash: "Okay then, focus guys. And if you want help with Fujinami and his boys, we got your guys' back". Snow: "Sounds like there's trouble in paradise Norton". Norton: "Oh would you quit? You're as bad as that hick they got on RAW, J.R.". Austin Pyromania vs. Chuck w/Billy Looking for his first TWF win, Pyromania came out very agressively, not even letting Chuck remove his robe as he backdropped and clotheslined him while he still wore it. But after a double arm hook suplex, Chuck got back into it and tagged Pyromania with what are widely considered the best right hands in the TWF. But Pyromania took a lot of abuse and came back with a twisting fallawayslam into a sidewalk slam. That led to a move similar to the Roll of the Dice but Chuck was able to kick out at 2. Pyromania bounced off the ropes but Billy grabbed his feet. When Pyromania turned around, Chuck went for his big superkick but Pyromania dodged it and hit him with the "Pyrotechnics" to win it. Match Time: 5:32 Cole: "My gosh is this guy an innovator of offense or what"? Norton: "Well good for him that he won this one cause I'm sure Chuck and Billy already had some things to do for him as their trainer". SMW Match: Spencer Hollywood vs. Bull Buchanan Hollywood's speed and quickness would have to lead him to victory here but after gaining several near falls, Bull caught him with a flapjack and minutes later, hit an axe kick to the back of the head. Bull then went to the top rope and came flying off with a huge legdrop and easliy pinned Hollywood. Match Time: "Bull's got a new look, a new attitude and something got to him, something has changed this guy's perspective on a lot of things". COMMERCIAL BREAK..... > SUPERSTARS FROM THE TWF AND GWF ARE SHOWN IN ACTION SHOTS. Narrator: "Which company has the best athletes? Where do the big boys truly play? What show has the best athletes"? AS UPRISING RETURNS, JACKIE GAYDA IS IN THE RING WATCHING LITA COME OUT TO A HUGE POP. Snow: "PrimeTime fans know that this one has reached a boiling point. Lita made this challenge a couple days ago on PrimeTime but it was Jackie who threw something in at the last minute earlier today". Norton: "Yeah, god knows why but she likes Jordan Rockwell and if she wins this match, she gets a 24 hour period with him, by herself". Snow: "Well ya know both ladies are gonna pour their hearts out so here we go". Lita vs. Jackie Gayda Jackie proved that she could hang with the more experienced Lita as her skills looked good. She slowed the pace down by choking Lita with the ring ropes and working on her arm down on the mat. But after Lita caught her with a headscissors, she scored with a DDT. After ducking an errant clothesline, Lita kicked her in the gut and hit her version of the Twist of Fate and got the 1.....2....3. Match Time: 12:23 Snow: "Well this has gotta be satisfying. Maybe she finally taught Jackie a lesson". Norton: "Hey, I'll teach her a lesson or two and she'll forget Rockwell even exists". Snow: "Right". Fatal 4 way elimination/Vacant TWF IC Title Match Mr. Perfect vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Rhyno vs. Yuji Matasamo As soon as the bell ring, it was RAW vs. RAW and PT vs. PT as Eddie and Perfect traded shots while Rhyno blocked Matasamo's kicks. At the 6 and a half minute mark, Guerrero was celebrating a terrific brainbuster on Perfect when he turned right into Rhyno's "Gore" and was eliminated. After a furious fight between the 3 remaining men, Matasamo came off the middle turnbuckle and Perfect held Rhyno up and they drilled him into the mat with a spike piledriver. For the next 4 minutes, Matasamo and Perfect gave what they had left. Conditioning became a factor as the much younger Matasamo took it to the veteran. But after missing a handspring into a back elbow in the corner, Perfect unloaded on him with knifedge chops. After a snap mare, Perfect went for his trademark somersault neckbreaker but on his way down, Matasamo kicked him right in the face. He then went for an irish whip but put his head down too early and Perfect's eyes lit up as he took advantage, hitting the "Perfect Plex". Matasamo tried to break his hand clasp but to no avail and Perfect became the brand new IC champion". PERFECT IS HANDED THE BELT AND HE GRABS IT AND SMILES. Norton: "Perfect should make a great champion"! Snow: "Well he is now and what an accomplishment for Perfect who as we all know, is not by best friend but I will give credit where it's due". Norton: "My pick was incorrect but I'm glad to see Perfect win it". Snow: "What a night it has been folks! Join us next time for Uprising"!
