Title:   Born in Fire
Author:  Nora Roberts
Publisher:  Jove

Review by:  Tia Caliente

This is the first book in the trilogy of the Concannon sisters from Ireland.  Maggie Concannon is a talented glassblower, who turns glass into sculpture and works of art.  The story begins with the death of Maggie’s beloved father.  She  has to deal with her mother (think Joan Crawford) all the while protecting her younger sister, Brianna.  This is also the story of  Rogan Sweeney, the wealthy and successful art dealer who not only wants to showcase Maggie’s art, but to also win her heart.

Once again, Nora Roberts has captured the true spirit of Ireland in such a way that you feel that you have been transported to the Emerald Isle as you read this book.  It is full of passion (you know, the kind all of us women want?), very hot but not pornographic.

I give this book 3 ½ stars.  It is available in paperback.
