The main character in this book is Tory Bodeen who comes back to her hometown to face the demons of her childhood (abuse by her father and the murder of her best friend). Tory has psychic abilities, and senses that the person who murdered her best friend is in town, and is in fact a serial killer. She knows that this person is going to kill again…but whom? Tory also meets up with Cade Lavelle, the brother of her murdered best friend, who seems to have more than friendship in mind.
Once again, Nora Roberts successfully combines mystery and passion. The killer will truly surprised you when he/she is revealed (so don’t skip to the last few pages).
