This is the 12th entry for John Sanford’s character, Lucas Davenport. Lucas is a detective with the Minneapolis Police Department. What makes this series of books different from most is that you are introduced to the killer at the very beginning of the book. Where is the fun in that, you ask? Well, you get to watch Lucas Davenport as he gets closer and closer to the killer. You get to see the frustration of the police when they seem to run into one roadblock after another. And, you also get to see how the killer reacts as he feels the police getting closer and closer. In this particular book, we have James Quatar, nicknamed “Gravedigger”. James has a thing for young, blonde females and kinky sex.
John Sanford has written another winner. The sex and murder are
very graphic, and not for the squeamish. His 13th entry “Mortal
Prey” is now out in hardback. I give this book 4 STARS….it
is definitely something you don’t want to put down.
