Yo! So why has D.A. chosen to review an album that’s six months old already? So he can put y’all tricks up on somethin’. "Opposite of H20" is one of the top albums thus far in 2G. I was beginning to think Ruff Ryders weren’t going to reach their true potential. The first two DMX albums and the Double R debut of The Lox "We Are The Streets" were disappointing. Those three releases were not terrible, but not great either. So along comes Drag. Would he continue the slump or break out of it? I’m man enough to admit that I once thought Drag was trying to imitate the voice and flow of Cam’ron. Well, fuck, kid proved me wrong with this album. Drag changes up his cadence and delivery on just about every song so that he never sounds the same. That keeps the album feeling fresh. And he resembles Killa Cam in no way at all. What he does do is feed off the energy of his labelmates and rises to the occasion by besting them. DMX lends his talents to “Get it Right”, but Drag easily outshines him with a smooth, effortless flow. Eve comes through with a tight performance on “Here We Go”, but once again, Drag seizes the spotlight by spitting his unique game. Another good thing about "Opposite of H20" is that Drag takes advantage of some bangin’ beats. How many times have you heard a wack-ass rapper fucking up a dope beat with a wack-ass flow? You won’t find that here. Swizz offers his trademark sounds on eight of the fifteen songs while P.Killer Trackz & DJ Shok lace other nice tracks. Drag showcases his talent level on all of the slammin’ beats. There really isn’t much more that can be said about Drag-On’s debut album except for the fact that it doesn’t souck. You have to hear the shit for yourself. Like Triple H, it’s THAT DAMN GOOD. So good that it picks up 4 ½ shotz of Henny.
