Here's another "Parental Advisory" record. This is
the sequel to Friday,
which was a great movie. Next Friday is even more funny than the first
one.
This soundtrack features all new songs by some of today's best rappers including
- OK- here we go... N. W.A., Ice Cube feat. Mack 10 &
Ms. Toi, Eminem, Wyclef Jean, Aaliyah, Big Tymers feat.
Lil' Wayne, JA Rule & Vita,
Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, Wu-Tang Klan, Toni Estes, Isley Brothers feat.
Ron Isley, Sauce Money who is an up and coming rapper, and many more. Can you
believe that! Oh hell yeah, that does say N.W. A. They are back
together with some
new members to fill in the spots. Snoop Dogg is filling the rather large
shoes of the late EAZY E. Currently N. W. A. is on their "Up in
Smoke"
tour, which just passed through Chicago. Eminem also is touring with them,
and
yeah he fits right in. Ice Cube not only appears on the soundtrack, but is the star
of the movie. Ice Cube does a song with Mack 10 & Ms. Toi, called
"You Can Do It." It
has been a while since we heard any Cube. He released Volume 2 of " War &
Peace
(The Peace Disc)" in May. I have always liked Ice Cube, his older
stuff anyway. The new voice I think you should be looking for is Toni
Estes. She sings
a song called "Hot" which is exactly that. It has a great beat and is
really sexy. I definitely will be keeping an eye out for Toni Estes in the
future. This is the song that caught my attention right away. This
song as
all the others has great bass. Maybe it's just me, I like the girlie sex
songs and I tend to pick them out before the rest of them. Now I know what your
thinking, the Isley Brothers?
What the hell are the Isley Brothers doing on a CD like this?! Who else can
"Make Your Body Sing" better than Ron Isley. So, actually, they do fit in and the song is
cool. How perfect that Eminem follow them! He also appears
courtesy of Aftermath / Priority Records. Who else should be singing the song about
"Murder Murder?" Plus, he sings it with such grace and style. As I mentioned
earlier, Eminem is joining N. W. A. on the "Up in Smoke" tour.
He
has recently released his ever so popular "The Marshall Mathers" album. Ahh, a
mother's favorite. There are just so many good artists. Miss Ris is not a big
fan of rap,
but this album is good. I have pretty much burned up this CD and the
language is not too bad. I am not saying that it is material for your
children, but I have heard a lot worse than this. With so many big names
you
really can't go wrong. I know what your thinking, " Your gonna look
like a
dork walking down the Soundtrack a isle at the store!" Don't sweat it, it's
well worth the embarrassment! Next Friday has everybody on this album, except
FPB. Where the hell is FPB? WHOAAA, did I say that? If you have not seen the
movie, it is funny as hell and
you'll love it!
Next Friday starts right where Friday left off, literally. So make sure
you
see the first one. Both of the titles are in movie stores now. Go
rent it or buy it.
Next Friday is well worthy of 4 Stars!
