Roman Hamrlik had a goal and two assists as the Calgary Flames rallied with four unanswered goals to earn a 5-3 victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday.

The Flames trailed 3-1 in the first period, but got goals from Hamrlik, Steven Reinprecht, Dion Phaneuf and Chuck Kobasew to snap a two-game losing streak. Calgary's Darren McCarty scored in the first.

Reinprecht, Phaneuf and Kobasew all scored power-play goals, as Calgary went 3-for-6 with the advantage.

Phaneuf's 5-on-3 goal late in the second period snapped a 3-3 tie and stood up as the game-winner.

Chicago's Radim Vrbata had a goal and an assist. Mark Bell and Rene Bourque also scored for the Blackhawks.

Calgary's Miikka Kiprusoff stopped 21 shots. Blackhawks rookie counterpart Adam Munro blocked 24.

Chicago has won just four of 20 overall and three of 15 at home.

The teams played the second of back-to-back games at the United Center after Chicago defeated Calgary 2-0 on Thursday. It marked the first time since 1959 that the Blackhawks played consecutive games at home against the same opponent.

On Thursday, Munro and Kiprusoff squared off in a goaltending duel. That game was scoreless until Chicago's Martin Lapointe scored a power-play goal with 6:11 left in the third period.

Sunday's contest, however, started with a scoring flurry, and the Blackhawks led 3-2 after the first period.

McCarty jammed in a shot from the side of the net to open the scoring just 39 seconds in.

Vrbata tied it 1-all at 1:09, and Bourque gave Chicago a 2-1 lead just 9 seconds later.

With Kiprusoff down, Vrbata fired in a shot from a sharp angle on left wing to tie it. Bourque connected from the front of the net, after taking a pass from Curtis Brown to complete a 2-on-1.

Bell made it 3-1 with 4:37 left in the first with a power-play goal. He converted a rebound of Brent Seabrook's shot from the point.

Hamrlik cut it to 3-2 with 1:10 left in the period. His screened wrist shot clanked in off the right post.

Power-play goals by Reinprecht and Phaneuf in the second period put Calgary ahead 4-3.

Reinprecht tied it at 3 from the slot 6:56 into the period. Following a faceoff, he turned and fired a rising shot past Munro's glove.

Phaneuf's 5-on-3 power-play goal with 4:11 left in the second gave the Flames a 4-3 lead. Phaneuf's drive from the top of the right circle beat Munro high on the glove side.

Kobasew made it 5-3 with a mid-air tip-in at 9:27 of the second.
