Sebrango took the point back at 6:38, but Gus Kartes gave Chicago the last word before halftime with a power play goal at 11:30, after overlapping penalties to Lovelace Ackah and ‘keeper Nick Vorberg.

The Wave knuckled down after halftime. Vorberg held Chicago scoreless until the closing minutes. Meanwhile, Sebrango helped the Wave pad their lead by three, to 7-3, with assists to Marcelo Fontana at 4:55 of the third quarter and Howes at 8:59 of the fourth, and his own tally at 9:24.

A penalty on Milwaukee’s Michael King, opened the door for an unassisted goal by John Ball, leaving the final score 7-3.

Vorberg faced 17 shots and made 15 saves for the win. Chicago’s Danny Waltman went eight-for-15.
