PHILADELPHIA---Novi Marojevic scored at 3:40 of the fourth quarter on an assist from Mark Ughy to give the Chicago Storm a 4-3 come from behind win over the Philadelphia Kixx in front of 4,615 at Wachovia Spectrum Saturday night.
Awadalla Morad gave the Storm a lead 44 seconds into the game, but the Kixx responded with three unanswered goals.
Shawn Boney scored the unassisted equalizer at 7:51 of the first, then set up Kevin Sloan’s go-ahead goal at 3:43 of the second. Ptah Myers increased the Kixx lead to 3-1 with a goal at 5:37 of the second on an assist from Tim O’Neill.
The Storm, 6-9, started their comeback on Morad’s second unassisted goal of the game at 12:52 of the second.
Anthony Maher then equalized at 11:47 of the third, before Marojevic netted the game winner.
The Kixx, losers of three straight drop to 4-8. The win snapped a two game Storm losing streak, and moved them a half game ahead of the Kixx. The two teams play the second leg of a home and home series on Sunday.
The Storm’s Danny Waltman made 12 saves on 15 shots faced, while the Kixx Peter Pappas stopped 10 of 14.
