“ I won’t be beat! I can’t be beat”. This is the philosophy that put Kingman on top of the card. This indestructible frame of mind has made Kingman the man to beat in ACW. After defeating ShowTime Eric Young in late June for the ACW title, Kingman has been defending victoriously the championship against everyone who has stepped up. Weighing in at 300 pounds and standing at 6’8”, it is no surprise why this monster of a man has had little or no trouble keeping the title.
Kingman is no stranger at being champ, he was the Grand Prix Champ from 98-99, and is the East Coast strongman of 2002,and won the Atlantic Coast Strongman.
When I sat down with the ACW champ and ask him, in his 7 year wrestling career ,has had matches all over the world, and will be touring England and the Middle East this winter, what was one of his most memomerable moments? He answered-
“ Being on the same card as Hulk Hogan. Because he was the man, he was the guy all the fans payed to see, even if I was not in a match with him it was still a great feeling being on the same card as Hogan.”
There comes a point in everyone’s career when you have to apply what has been learned, when Bobby Bass talked to Kingman about joining the ACW, Kingman saw a opportunaty to take the ball and run with it.
This chance has payed off, in a matter of weeks Kingman became champion, and has headlined all the ACW shows this summer. It is safe to say that Kingman’s“ I won’t be beat! I can’t be beat” philosophy has worked out for him in ACW, and will probably continue to work.
Kingman hopes all the waves he has been doing in ACW as champ will help pave the way for him to get another shot at the WWE. Kingman has wrestled dark matches for the WWE and WCW and feels what he has learned since then has made him a more refined wrestler and a better competitor. It is safe to say that Kingman will continue to rises in ACW.
Note: Since this article was written, Kingman has lost the ACW title to Sinn.
