- EKCW Results from August 9, 2002
- Spruce Pine Bottom in Feds Creek, KY once again was home to some great wrestling action. Here is what happened:
- The event started off with EKCW Promoter Gene Goodman interrupting the ring announcer, who was doing the show introduction. Mr. Goodman grabs the mic and tells his ring announcer to have a seat in the corner and then began to talk about how EKCW was the "elite" wrestling organization in Kentucky and how he had plans to run every other promotion out of Eastern KY. He made sure to brag about how he ran Feds Creek's favorite promotion, The AWF, out of Feds Creek. Those words no more than cleared his mouth when AWF Promoter Joe Clark's music began blaring over the P.A. system. Clark comes down the entrance way accompanied by AWF Heavyweight Champion "Sexy Boy" Bobby Storm.
Clark enters the ring, grabs the mic from Mr. Goodman and says "you didn't run the AWF out of Feds Creek....you SCREWED the AWF out of Feds Creek." Bobby Storm then takes the mic and the two exchange words about how Goodman had screwed him over at the last EKCW event. Bobby eventually backs Mr. Goodman into the corner. About that time, "Scorpion" Brian Gilbert, the newest EKCW protege, hit the ring. He takes the mic and begans lashing out at Promoter Joe Clark and Bobby Storm saying that his AWF Cruiserweight Title was in the back....way in the back; because he was EKCW now. "Scorpion" issued a challenge to Bobby Storm for later on that evening..suprising everyone. Bobby and Joe Clark accepted Scorps challenge but that was not the end; Mr. Clark said that also had a suprise for Mr. Goodman..at that time "The Beautiful" Bobby Love's music hits the air waves and he comes to the ring "aligning" himself with AWF...after a few tongue lashings from everyone, the ring was cleared...it was time for action.
- The opening contest was a three - way dance in which Michael Morbid defeated JV Insanity and Jared "BaSyx" Lancaster. In other action, Ace Sinsation defeated newcomer Ice, B.J. the D.J. faced off w/ the Janitor in a "Battle for Feds Creek".
- AWF Tag Team Champions Jason Creed & Jesse Londas came to the ring demanding a match with Gemini and called out AWF Promoter Joe Clark. Clark came to the ring and told them that if they wanted a match with Gemini that they would have to wait until September 7, 2002 in Olive Hill, KY because Jason Lancaster was hospitalized. Well, Londas and Creed thought that since they were not facing Gemini, that they had the night off. But they were soon informed by Joe Clark that they were wrestling and they were defending the AWF Tag titles. There opponents were "Twysted" Jason Steele and Donnie Dongazmo. Londas & Creed successfully defended the AWF Tag titles by defeating Steele and Dongazmo.
- In other action, "Tuff Guy" Joey Bravo defeated Kid Grunge,and Bobby Love defeated Hellraiser.
- In the main event "Scorpion" Brian Gilbert defeated "Sexy Boy" Bobby Storm in a non-title match. Here's how it happened: Bobby Storm was accompanied to the ring by Bobby Love and Joe Clark. Gilbert was accompanied to the ring by EKCW Promoter Gene Goodman. The match was a brutal one...the advantage going back and forth. Just when it looked like Storm had the victory, the referee got knocked down. Bobby Love entered the ring..supposedly to help Storm. Well once again the unthinkable happened....Bobby Love attacked his 'friend' Bobby Storm, thus giving Brian Gilbert the victory. After the pin, Love and Jesse Londas, Jason Creed all began an all out attack on Storm. The locker rooms emptied...the end result Bobby Storm, Jared Lancaster and the Janitor were left laying in the ring..and EKCW went to the back celebrating another "victory" over AWF.
