The wrestling program at Lehighton evolved in caliber to such a level that today it is recognized not only in the Lehigh Valley, but at the state level for its excellence in wrestling. Our success could not possibly have been achieved without the commitment of coaches, promoters, or wrestlers. With this in mind, we felt it appropriate to honor these individuals by establishing a
Lehighton Wrestling Hall of Fame.
    The Lehighton wrestling coaching staff, along with the Takedown Club, has developed a criteria as a guideline to select individuals for this prestigious award.
The criteria is as follows:
      … Only three inductees will be selected each year, unless more than three
          wrestlers become place winners in the state tournament.
      … A wrestler who places in the state tournament is an automatic inductee.
      … Nominations will be accepted a year ahead, and anyone can nominate a
           person.
      … Selection will be by a committee including the following:
                … present coaches                                         … past coaches
                … Takedown Club                                        … administration
                … booster coaches
