It's been over a month since I last typed a Juggerstories, but that will all change now. We have figured out a way that I can update my commentary myself without having to send it to my webmaster. You see, he's been a little busy lately and can't get around to put up a new Juggerstories every week, so now, I can do it myself. Don't pay attention to any small problems that might pop up, I still really don't know what the hell I am doing.
Well, this past weekend was Wrestlemania 18. I can honestly say that I think it was the best WWF Pay Per View I have seen in a long time. After finding out who Steve and Colby Corino had picked to win the matches, I figured I would make my own picks as well. It's damn good thing that I didn't bet any money on my picks, because I would have been a poor man. I personally thought that the match between Hulk Hogan and The Rock may have been the best WWF match in years. You didn't see the standard 3 million move wrestling match that seems to be becoming common in the wrestling business, instead you saw a match that actually meant something. Matches like Hogan vs. Andre, Steamboat vs. Savage, Warrior vs. Hogan, and now, Hogan vs. Rocky, it was almost like being a kid again, sitting on the living room floor wearing a giant foam finger and the Hulkamania head band with a glass of kool-aid in my hand.
I just about hit the floor laughing the other day when I was in a bar. I had a girl come up to me and stun me with quite possibly the most pathetic pickup line I have heard in a very long time. It began like this:
Crazy Girl: "Hey, how you doing"
Juggernaut: "Alright"
Crazy Girl: "It's my birthday"
Juggernaut: "uh huh"
Crazy Girl: "I'm twenty-two"
Juggernaut: "alright"
Crazy Girl: "I'm a Social Worker"
Juggernaut: "O...kay?"
Crazy Girl: "and I wanna Social work YOU!"
I had to walk away, I was laughing so hard I thought I was going to drop a lung. The scary thing about it, is that the girl was dead serious, I'm not sure if she got bar training from a man in a leisure suit or not, but it was damn funny.
Now that I am posting this thing myself, I think I am going to add a picture of the week deal. Basically I will be pulling a picture out of my collection and explaining a bit about the picture. So here we go, this weeks picture of the week:
This picture was taken in 1999 in Dallas Texas. Myself and my tag team partner were wrestling for NWA Southwest against "Team Extreme". I went up to hit Kit Carson with a Juggersault through the table, but Kris Germany blasted me with a fireball for my trouble.
Here's something I haven't done for a while, I think I'm going to do a future star this week. This week my future star is.......Marky Starr. Now, Marky Starr is a young guy wrestling out of Calgary, Alberta. Some people may know him as being part of the MatRats company, but to only think of him as a MatRat would be to sell him short. I have been nothing but impressed by Marky's ability, ring sense and especially his attitude, since I first saw him wrestle at the end of 2001. He's one of the guys that I truely think will make an impact someday.
I was talking to the always lovely Allison Danger the other day and she gave me a great idea for a top 10, but, I can't remember what it was. I know she will scorn me for not remembering, but if I remember correctly she said she would help me with it, so whatever it was, it will have to wait until I discuss it with her. So, since I can't remember what it was, and I can't think of anything else, there's not going to be a top 10 this week.
The NHL season is slowly starting to come to an end, I've probably watched more hockey this year, than I have in the last 10 years put together. I forgot how great hockey is. I am having a tough time picking who I think is going to win the Stanley Cup this year. Of course I would like to see a Canadian Team pull it off this year, but I'm not sure that's going to happen. Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary and Edmonton have all had pretty good seasons, but I'm just not convinced they will have what it takes in the playoffs. You can write off Vancouver and Montreal, at least for this year. It should be a very interesting playoffs.
I am once again involved in an eight man tag match this Friday for Stampede Wrestling in Calgary, and once again it's against the Harts (Ted and Bruce) along with Davey Boy Smith's son Harry Smith and a Hart tag along TJ Wilson. Harry is the only one I haven't had the chance to beat on yet, but I can assure you that his time will definitaly come on Friday. I have a little unfinished business with him. Anyone near Calgary come check out the show at the Ogden Legion hall, you can find more information at www.stampedewrestling.com.
This Sunday is the yearly Oscar awards. I don't like to watch the Oscars too much, but this year I am interested to see who is going to win the best actor award. I have mentioned before that I think Will Smith will win for his phenominal role in ALI. I think I will go crazy if they give it to some sappy actor. I don't see there being much contest, but I've been wrong before.
Well, I think that pretty much sums it up for this week. I will post another commentary next Tuesday, and hopefully every Tuesday after that.
So, until next time, remember....Chicks Dig Scars, me and Allibear will put our minds together soon for a top 10, make sure to watch the upcoming NHL playoffs, and don't forget to check out a local Indy wrestling show
