Well I have to tell you, this whole new Juggerstories posting system is much much easier. No more yelling at my poor little webmaster, no more frustration, waiting for the commentary to go up. I'm sure the webmaster is extremely happy about not getting bugged by me all the time anymore, ever if it is fun to bother him.
This past Friday I wrestled on another Stampede Wrestling show in Calgary. Going into the show, I was under the impression that I was in an 8 man tag against the Hart family. I guess the Hart family must have complained enough about not wanting me in the match that I was pulled out of the match and put in a singles match against a wrestler out of the Top Rope Championship Wrestling company in Winnipeg named Zack Mercury. I think we all know what happened in the match, I beat the holy hell out of the poor guy and pinned his 6'6" rear end after driving his skull into the mat with my now infamous K-Drill. I of course took the opportunity at the end of the 8-man tag to drive TJ Wilson with the K-Drill as well. It always feels good to drop a little Hart tag along on his head.
I am now going to use this spot in my Juggerstories to mention a group of fans that have the same goal as I do in Stampede Wrestling, they want to eliminate the Hart family for good. Well done Masked Men! I'll see you guys this friday at the Legion of Doom.
After the show on Friday we went off to Cowboys Nightclub in lovely downtown Calgary. Don't be mistaken, just because the place is called Cowboys and all the staff wear cowboy hats, don't think this is a country bar. The bar actually hardly plays any country music at all, but there is always alot of impressive scenery to observe. I am happy to announce that after some slick talking I convinced one girl in particular to spend somewhere between $400 and $600 on drinks for all the wrestlers over the course of the night. It was a fine display of program working that could be respected by anyone. Just remember ladies, the last thing you want to do is offer to buy drinks, then pull out a huge wad of 100's from your pocket, while explaining your recent success at the casino. Thank God one of the boys was willing to jump on the grenade.
I am going to post a couple pictures for you all this week. The first one is an answer to many requests I have had from people asking if I have any pictures from a time in my life when I actually had hair. Well this one would be my last picture taken with hair. It was taken for a newspaper after I returned from a Judo tournament in Spokane Washington in 1995, as you can tell, not only did I have hair, but it was also braided....interesting stuff.
The next picture was taken in January 2001 in Tokyo Japan by a photographer from one of the top wrestling magazines in Japan called "Baseball" Magazine. I know, I know, but why is a wrestling magazine called baseball?? I have no idea. The picture was taken during a 6 man tag team match in Korekeun Hall, the other 5 guys guys in the match were fighting on the floor when I decided to make my pressence felt....literally. (some people say it looks like I'm smiling)
I have been asked by a couple fans (here you go John L.) to comment a bit on a couple of things that have happened recently in my old stomping grounds of ECCW in Vancouver. A wrestler named Chance Beckett decided to walk away from wrestling a while ago, he was at the time, the ECCW Heavyweight Champion. This past Saturday, he reappeared in the wrestling world for ECCW's #1 competition, All Star Wrestling. Him and others have been taking alot of abuse about the situation. People have to realize that we as Independent wrestlers are not contracted to one particular company, and there are no Independent companies that have enough money or power to force anyone to sign exclusive deals with only them. The ECCW office thought it would be a smart thing to degrade and insult Chance Beckett for leaving, and in doing so, they lit a preverbial fire under his ass and sent him in the opposite direction. I myself have also been taking alot of verbal abuse from the office of ECCW, but all I do is consider the source and laugh it off. It takes a very small person to trash talk behind a person's back or from miles and miles away. I don't want to get into it too much, but I can tell you that there is a reason why ECCW has been losing alot of their top talent. I really hope the fans don't blame the wrestlers, but instead look closely to see what the real problems may be. As fans, you shouldn't feel loyal to any one wrestling company, but just continue to support whatever or whoever it is that you like to watch. I personally have known Chance Beckett for a long time, and if he's not happy in one place, the best thing for him to do is move on.
That being said, time to move onto a new topic. I still haven't talked to Allison Danger since my last commentary, so still no special top 10 from the both of us yet, but don't worry, I promise it will show up in the not too distant future.
I would like to send a HUGE congratulations out to a very good friend of mine who about a week ago, welcomed a new member to his family to the world. Private Todd Kelly and his wife Sara had their first child, a 10+ pound baby boy they named Jack. So here's to them. Well done Sara! Can't wait to meet the newest Militia member. Here's a little picture I happen to have of the proud parents from a couple years ago:
I once again had to explain my distaste for those horrible Andre the Giant shirts that many girls still insist on wearing. I was talking with a girl in a nightclub the other night and got into a conversation with her about how stupid her shirt was. I think the conversation hit home, because she went off to the washroom to look in the mirror and see if her breasts were actually cross-eyed like I said. To her dismay, they were in fact lop sided. Maybe that will make her think twice about that shirt next time. Stupid one strap shirts....who the hell ever thought of that dumb idea anyways??....and why are girls still wearing them?? I hope it's not going to be one of those carry over fashions.
I am disgusted that Will Smith didn't win the best actor oscar at the Academy Awards on Sunday. I'm not taking anything away from Denzel Washington, but as I type this I haven't seen Training Day, but I am having a very difficult time believeing that Denzel pulled off a more impressive performance than Will Smith did. Maybe I will have more to say about it next week.
Well, I am just about to check out the movie Training Day, so I think I will wrap it up for this week. So....until next time...
CHICKS DIG SCARS, Welcome to the world Jack, special top 10 coming soon, Come to the Ogden Legion in Calgary this Friday the 29th, and don't forget to go check out some local Indy wrestling!
