Once again, here we are with another edition of Juggerstories. I really can't think of all that many things to talk about this week, but I will just go with the flow and see what happens.
I will start off talking about the recent Oscar awards. For those that don't know, I had Will Smith picked to win the best actor after I saw him in "Ali". I was quite upset when I saw that Denzel Washington won the award for his role in "Training Day". I didn't want to say too much about it until I actually saw Training Day. Now I have seen it and I am twice as pissed as I was before. I'm not saying Denzel didn;t pull off an impressive performance, but it just doesn't even compare to Smith's job playing Muhammed Ali. Even the damn Oscars have become political.......STUPID!!
Now I'm going to move on to my picture of the week. This picture was taken at one of the 2 Ribera Steakhouses in Tokyo, Japan. I believe it was taken in the late summer of 2000 while I was in Japan on tour with IWA Japan Pro Wrestling. Ribera is a restaurant that has been frequented by wrestlers since North American wrestlers have been going to Japan. The guy I am standing with is the son of the original owner, he runs one of the steakhouses, his dad runs the other, we call him Junior and his dad is Papa....easy to remember. Let's not forget, I love the steaks.
Being on the picture of the week topic of Ribera Steakhouse, here's another picture from the very same trip to Ribera. This one is outside the restaurant with one of the Japanese wrestlers named Yoshiya Yamashita. Me and Yoshi have been involved in some nasty battles in the ring, one match in particular saw Yoshi walk away with 28 stitches up his arm. In this picture I have him in the dreaded brain claw.
This past Friday was once again another Stampede Wrestling show. On the show, there was a tournament to decide who will be facing Bruce & Teddy Hart for the Stampede Wrestling Tag Team Titles. I have no idea who won the tournament, and since I'm not involved in the tag team ranks, I don't really care. I was in a singles match against one of the young guys in Stampede, named Jason "Turtle Boy" Booker. I felt sorry for the poor kid having to wrestle me, but I still drove his head through the canvas with the K-Drill. Once again, another wrestler couldn;t walk out on his own power....pity. This Friday I have no idea who I will be wrestling, but it really doesn't matter, I'm just waiting until the powers that be, reactivate the Stampede Wrestling Heavyweight Title, or at least tuntil I get my hands on one of the Hart family.
No top 10 again this week, but I did have a couple quick chats with Allison Danger this past week, and if we remember correctly, the top 10 we are going to work will be the top 10 ways you can tell if a girl is a skank. So look for that one in the next couple weeks.
Well it may not be a very long Juggerstories but if nothing else, the pictures should be interesting. I really can't think of anything else to talk about this week. Hopefully I'll be able to put a top 10 together for next week to make it a little more exciting.
Once again my old stomping grounds in ECCW are up to no good. I was recently reading about something they did on their wrestling show that just happened to be on Good Friday. They showed extreme bad taste and did a crucifixtion angle on the show, along with quotes from the Bible and all. I'm not going to get into it too much, but sometimes people have to realize that there is a line you shouldn't cross, I feel that mocking religion is one of those lines. I have mentioned before, that some people don't realize how powerful religion is, though I am a far cry from being considered religious in any way, I can completely respect how grasp a person's religion can have on them and what they might be willing to do in the name of their "God". We have all seen what can happen. I think ECCW has sunk to a new low by allowing this to happen on one of their shows.
I will be rolling out east towards Manitoba and Ontario at the end of the month, I will have more information as it becomes available. All I know for now is that there is 3 shows out that way, 2 in Manitoba and one in Ontario. This will be my first time heading out as far as Ontario in Canada, so I am looking forward to seeing the rabid fans of Thunder Bay.
So until next time, remember....Chicks Dig Scars, Happy late Birthday Allibear (no swimming at 4am without a camera), check out the TV show Greg the Bunny, The Masked Men rule, and see you at the matches!!
