I have got to start off this week with a bitter point. How do you spell Juggernaut? How difficult could it possibly be? J.U.G.G.E.R.N.A.U.T. Not Juggernaught, not Jaggernot, not Juggernaugt or any other wild variation on the spelling. I am not a World War II German war boat that was sunk. I mean, for crying out loud, it's right on my damn shirt. Get it right.
I'm not absolutely positive yet, but it looks like things are starting to come together for a return trip to the East Coast. I have been talking with people and have came up with a possible agreement. I will finally get the chance to defend the PWF Xtreme Title, after winning it almost a year ago in Pottstown, PA. I am now just trying to find a time when there are as many shows as possible to make the trip a decent length. Hopefully I will make my return to NWA New England while I am out there as well as debuting in some other areas. I am more excited about hitting the town with my 2 favorite American girls than actually wrestling (well one is a good Canadian girl that lives in the USA), that night out should end up being one that will be spoke of for years to come. Stay tuned for more info on that trip.
This past Friday was another Stampede Wrestling show at the Ogden Legion in Calgary. This time the show was a tribute to The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith. Once again the ring was full of wrestlers at the start of the show with our heads bowed listening to the 10 bells. This seems to be a pattern that is repeating itself much too often, lets all hope and pray that it slows down. The show itself was a great tribute to Davey, everyone went out and gave their all. It was nice to see the Smith family dog "Mary Legs" in attendence, funny dog. Harry Smith had a great match with a former Juggerstories future star, Marky Starr. Harry Smith has quite possibly the most potential I have ever seen in a wrestling ring. He is already a fantastic wrestler at age 16, and once he finishes school, I have no doubt that he will become a MAJOR star in Professional Wrestling.
I went and checked out the movie Insomnia the other day, starring Al Paccino and Robin Williams. It turned out to be a pretty good movie. I have always been a fan of both Williams and Paccino, and they worked great together. Robin Williams plays an author that lives up in Alaska, and Al Paccino plays a cop brought in to solve a murder. It takes place in the summer when it is light for 24 hours a day, hence he name Insomnia. Good movie though, definitaly worth checking out.
Let's move onto the pictures of the week. The first one was was taken somewhere in Northern B.C. after a match between myself and Southern Comfort Ray Brooks. Ray took one for the team that night with a bit of a bloody nose courtesy of the clothesline.
This next one was taken in Washinton also in 2001. Earlier in the night, Dr. Luther and me took it upon ourselves to rid Billy Two Eagles of his mullet, so in this picture, you see Dr. Luther polishing up his belt with a nice chunk of Billy's hair (or was he cleaning the hair with the belt?). Team Playaz always up to no damn good.
I think I may have heard rumors of a river tubin' adventure this weekend. If that's the case, myself, Johnny Devine, Lucy the Wonder Dog, and some sore legged chick, may be making our way down the Bow river in inner tubes. Tubin' is always a good time, especially if you are smart enough to attach a backpack full of delicious Canadian beer to yourself. I figure by the time you get back out of the water, you shouldn't be able to walk too well. Add the beer with the super hot sun and it's a glorious day of antics and tomfoolery.
I think that wraps up this weeks commentary, maybe I'll have some good stories from the tubin' adventure this weekend for the next Juggerstories.
Until next time.........Chicks Dig Scars....see everyone on the east coast in August...Allibear you got find someone for me to slap around..... Tubin is good....and don't forget to support ALL local Indy wrestling (except the crappy backyarders).
