Well, well, well..... another week is gone. I didn't even notice this last week go by, maybe I was abducted by aliens or something. It was a pretty boring week, not much going on, but let's see if I have a few things to talk about anyways.
The NHL season is quickly approaching, which means the hockey pools are also approaching. The draft just came through a couple days ago for one of my hockey pools, and after some minor adjustments, it's looking pretty good. I actually did a little research this year, since it seems to work for other guys in the pools. I spent quite a bit of time flipping though a magazine and carefully picking players for my team. My goaltending might be a little weak, but other than that, I should do pretty good.
Speaking of the NHL, now is about the time that I like to make my predictions for the year. This year I am picking the Washington Capitals to win the Stanley Cup. Finally I get to pick one of my favorite teams, they made some good moves in the off season and I think this will be their year. Whatever you do though, don;t bet money on my pick, I have never got it right.
This Friday is another Stampede Wrestlign show in Calgary, Alberta. I am scheduled to once again take on Bruce Hart and TJ Wilson for the Stampede Wrestling tag titles. This time I will be tagging up with Hot Shot Johnny Devine, so that improves our chances of victory by alot. The Stampede Wrestling shows have been getting better and better since the beginning of the year. If a couple more cards fall into place, they may be on their way back to their former glory. So, if you're in the Calgary area, come check out Stampede Wrestling, this Friday the 4th at the Ogden Legion Hall.
I was checking out a website for a wrestling company I have been talking with lately and came across something a little weird. I know it is me that they are talking about, but it sems that the measurements are a little off. Go check out www.bigtimewrestlinguk.com and read the news section. I'm not exactly sure what happened to me, but maybe I have mutated recently and just don't know about it.
It looks like it may snow here in Calgary any day. The weather here is about the craziest thing I have seen in a very long time. The other day I looked out the window in the morning and saw nothing but blue sky and sunshine, so I wandered out there, only to find out that the sun was somehow working in reverse and spitting out cold sunbeams. Now it's been raining for the past few days and I am totally expecting to wake up one day and see 3 feet of snow. I'm not quite used to this yet, at least when I was out in Vancouver, the 2 seasons are either sun or rain, you just never know what season it will be at any time out on the coast.
One good thing about winter, is that with the coming snow, there are alot less Andre shirts, and virtually no capri pants wandering around the streets. I had a in depth conversation with a girl in a bar last Saturday night about those damn shirts and she said that they aren't even comfotable to wear. Makes no sense why anyone would wear them in the first place, but now even less sense since I hear they are uncomfortable. In fact this girl brought up a very good point, that the shirts could cause serious crooked neck injury to many men as they try to stare at a woman's breasts. I'll have to check into that, but she may have a point.
Apparently the PWI 500 magazine is now out on newstands everywhere....... except Calgary. It's the only wrestling magazine I buy every year, but for some reason, I can't find it anywhere. I was e-mailed by a fan in Washington, telling me that I am in at # 328 this year, but the magazine is harder to find than a brain in a backyard wrestler's head. I also hear that Johnny Handsome cracked the list for his first time ever this past year at #442. Congratulations to him, as far as I know he made it in his first full year wrestling.
I have been a bit off the ball with getting pictures developed lately. I said last week that I was going to have some pictures taken on the ECW reunion tour for the pictures of the week this week, but I don;t like to take a film in that isn't done, and I still need to take about 10 more pictures to finish up the roll. So, this week, we get another picture of the infamous Lucy the dog, this time in mid flight through the air into the water.
This next picture was taken sometime last year in Vancouver, Washington. It's during a match between myself and Brian Bedlam. I believe it's a second rope leg drop, but I really don't know for sure.
That will be about it for this week, so.......
Until next time......... Chicks dig scars........ Where's the PWI 500??.......... 7 feet and 300 pounds?!!....... snow equals less stupid clothes...... and I will win my hockey pool!!
