It's Rasslin Time!!
Finally, everone gets to see what WrestleMania was like! We had alot of fun in Toronto, just take a look below and you'll see how much!
======================================================
Here's Jon, who told me to be at his house really early, and then wasn't ready yet,...
Here's me in my fancy leather coat I had gotten the previous night -- Really exciting!
Jon's dad surprised us with a Limo to the airport! How cool was that? Thanks! And, of course, here's the pre-requisite 4 Horsemen pose (even though we number three,..)
Here's Jon getting used to the high life inside the Limo. It even had TV - we were entertained all the way to the airport by a late night infomercial for an adult call line :) BTW, the driver really hauled ass, because we got there in like 30 minutes!
Here's the International Airport - completely deserted ant 5:30 am. That is, except for the woman at the lower level Tim Hortons. It looked like she had been down there for years and never seen the sun. Creepy.
Fast Forward 8 Hours Or So: We're in Toronto! Actually, North York, but there really isn't any separation between T.O. and the burbs. North York is pretty dirty. But, Michael and I were amazed that someone owns a SkiDoo!!
Here's our hotel room. Pretty nice eh? :p Everyone is dressed up to go to the restraunt and uh, ready and rarin to go. If only Mike and Jon would stop watching CNN,...;p
Michael and I are just so handsome and studly, it's surprising that he didn't get any action from some fangirls over the weekend
Here's me and my (then)new favorite article of clothing. One surprising thing is just how dirty everyone dressed in T.O. I mean, we were downtown, but even the high flying businessmen wore ratty windbreakers. So by comparison, Michael, Jon and I looked like Goodfellas, all in our leather jackets.
Well, you always get thirsty in those stuffy hotel rooms,... ;)
Saturday was the Fan Axess festival, and there were a hell of alot of people attending. This is just one shot of the line that stretched for at least a kilometre.
Oh boy, were getting closer!
Beautiful architecture, but we just wanna be there,...
Yayyy! We made it!!
Ahhh,...the boothgirls were all worth it. Oops, sorry Stephanya!!! It's not me, I swear! It's my doppelganger!
Wow! RVD really is a big star! Actually, Fan Axess was a joke. The goddamn lineups for autographs were so long to stay in one and hope for just a glimpse of the star you were waiting for was like banging your head against a wall -- you'd get no where. Add to that the big stars sat for their sessions for about 30 minutes and we were pissed royally. But a guy did interview us for about an hour and a half for material for the book he was writing. Woo hoo!
The Automotive Place was really impressive in terms of architecture. Here, Jon fools around with one of the fountains.
Hey! A Molson brewery! So Torornto isn't completely Americanized!
After Fan Axess, we walked all the way from Automotive Place to dowtown Toronto. All the buildings are beautiful, just like the Hotel York here.
Unfortunately, not all the buildings are beautiful. Also, there are some really dumb contractors. Where's floor 13 AND 14?
Just beautiful. I love all the skyscrapers.
Jon would've loved this cafe. "Don't mess with Texas"
The Union Sation buliding, hub of T.O.'s metro rail system. What's that in the corner? Grand Trunk Railway? Does it have some relationship to Grand Funk Railway? We pondered but didn't have time to go inside and ask.
Sunday was the big event! Look at how freakin' big the Skydome crowd was!!
Opening Pyro Montage that lasted a good two minutes.
Ric Flair locks the Figure 4 onto 'Taker. The top left image is looking at the ring from our seats, the top right was from the TitanTron set up above the ringlights for the poor people in the top rafters, and the bottom picture is from the SkyDome Jumbotron, directly opposite from us.
Hogan shows Rock just how big his pythons are.
Rock drops the boom on Hogan.
Hogan is Hulking Up!
Hogan's Famous Point and Finger Waive Routine.
Hogan hits the Legdrop Of Doom!
Triple H rides his comeback babyface groundswell to the Undisputed Title.
Mike and I feel extra powerful when we're wearing our geeky wrestling t-shirts!
Jon and Mike pose in front of the WM set.
Our flight back home didn't leave until Monday night, so we had some more time to walk around T.O. and see sights. Mike and Jon think that the CN Tower is just too sweeeet!
Michael goofs it up in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
We found an old fashioned telephone booth in the HHOF, and I wanted Micheal to do a Superman impression. Somehow, he comes out looking creepy and angry.
The Great Hall in the HHOF.
Mike brings home the Cup!
Jon tastes success with the Cup!
I get to touch a (replica of) a National Treasure!
No trip to Toronto would be complete without a trip to the national institution that is MuchMusic!
MuchMusic from the outside where the dirty masses look into the Much Environment. They were taping Much On Demand while we were there. I was actually very surprised with how small the Environment was. On TV it looks really big, but it was so small you could barely change your mind in there.
The propaganda wall telling you (subliminally) to watch more MuchMusic.
Hey, there's Jen and Rick, who's wearing his stupid Dallas Stars jersey,... >:(
We did do Speakers Corner, but I got excited and took off my shirt in the booth, so that's probably why they didn't air it.
