The program started with GM Greg Banks coming to the ring. He called out the current SIW Women’s Champion Xtina who was accompanied by Regina Todd. Greg told Xtina that he was proud to have her as the women’s champion. The crowd then booed when Banks mentioned Liana Lewis’ name. Banks said Liana Lewis could never be as good champion as Xtina because all she cares about is money and bling bling. Banks handed Xtina the mic and she announced that with Greg’s authority, next week on Brawl, she was going to have a celebration. Regina then took over and explained the celebration will start this Sunday because at the pay per view Xtina will hold the record for the longest women’s championship reign of all time. Xtina said that it will be mandatory for everyone to show up even the big bitch Liana Lewis. Banks then cut in and mentioned that Liana Lewis won’t be around by next Monday because he will finish her off once and for all at Assault. Banks said what he’s going to do to her in the cage will be illegal and Liana Lewis has no one else to blame but herself.
Zach Blain took on one half of the World Tag Team Champions Natedawg who was accompanied by his tag team partner Harkie. Blain hit Nate with a Fisherman Neckbreaker and went for the cover but Harkie pulled him out of the ring. Blain battled with Harkie on the outside and nailed him with The Punishment Driver. Moments later, Blain missed a missile drop kick off the top rope and Natedawg capitalized and hit him with the Gangstanator and pinned him to get the win.
Jack Kent caught up with Liana Lewis and Hannah Parks before their tag team match. Kent asked Liana on her thoughts about Xtina’s celebration. With the fans booing her, Liana said that the only reason Xtina is champion is because Greg protects his little runt canuck by not booking her in a matches she could lose the title. Liana said that she will be at the celebration and she’s going to kick Xtina’s ass in front of everyone. Hannah Parks then announced when she beats Xtina at Assault, the first person to get a title shot will be Liana Lewis. Hannah said before they get ahead of themselves, they have to beat those two bitches in tag team action next.
After a commercial break, the diva tag team match got underway betweem Regina & Xtina against Liana Lewis & Hannah Parks. As Hannah battled with Xtina in the ring, Liana grabbed a sign from a fan that said “Liana paid me 12M to hold this sign” and ripped it into pieces. Liana’s been getting booed around the United States since her outrageous contract demands have been made public but that didn’t slow her performance as she dominated in the ring. As Xtina and Liana battled on the outside, Hannah nailed Regina with a DDT and then pinned her after delivering the Starr Dogg. After the match, Hannah got in Xtina’s face and told her that her title will change hands this Sunday at the pay per view because she is going to beat her like she just did to Regina. They started fighting and Liana Lewis jumped in and gave Xtina a few kicks to her head but then out came Greg Banks who choked Liana with an electrical wire. Xtina continued assaulting Hannah while Regina set up a table. Xtina and Regina held Hannah back as Banks put Liana though the table with a botched powerbomb.
Carnage Playback - For those that missed last week's Carnage on the TNT.
Backstage, Drako and Grunge talked things out and came up with a plan to overcome Dallas Nash and Ragin’ Craig Arnol in the main event when Grunge puts his title on the line. Grunge told Craig maybe he should retire like he mentioned over the weekend because as long as he has the title no one will ever beat him for it. As for Dallas Nash, Drako added that he should enjoy his main event match because it will most likely be the last time ever. Drako said that Nash being in the main event is a perfect example of management corruption.
Advertisement for Assault 2006 on January 29 in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Don’t miss the Monday Night Brawl clash with Carnage as they face off in a Rumble. GM Greg Banks will take matters into his own hands as he takes on Liana Lewis in a barbed wire steel cage match for her big contract.
Maurice Bad has been making an impact recently in the SIW and his talents were showcased again in a match against Jason Brown who accidentally knocked him off the apron during their tag match last week. Brown kicked out of a cover after getting hit with the Badder Blues which frustrated Bad. Maurice then locked in the Bad Lock and won the match after Brown tapped out in the middle of the ring.
Former SIW Heavyweight Champion Matt Uzi is currently writing an autobiography about his life and career. The controversial book will be published by TJDE Publishing Inc. and will be released sometime in 2006. Contact TJDE Management for all publishing inquiries.
”The Amazing Desperado” and A.B.A both returned last week with hopes of being in the Assault Rumble for Team Brawl. With only one spot left, Greg Banks decided to make a match to see who would be number fifteen. Both these great competitors gave it their all but unfortunately one had to lose. After A.B.A dominating most of the match, Desperado avoided a closeline off the ropes and then hit A.B.A with an atomic drop and then pinned him after delivering a Canadian Buster. Both competitors showed great sportsmanship and shook hands after the match.
Next week on Monday Night Brawl, the CEO of the SIW, Trevor Derickson will make an announcement concerning Wrestlefest 2006 and this years inductions to the Hall Of Fame. Last year we saw Carnage GM Kevin “Titan” McColl added after seven years of service. The current Hall Of Fame also includes past legends such as Ninja, The American Bulldog, Polar and current Carnage superstar “The Greatest One” Matt Uzi.
Alcoholics Anonymous (Airington & Stylez) were in the building and took on the SIW European Champion C-Mac and his new tag team partner who used to compete on Carnage, Tony “The Bull” Viction. Last week we saw Viction turn on team Carnage by joining C-Mac and Team Brawl. This week, Titan sent one of his teams to take out C-Mac and Viction before this Sunday. North American Champion Armani Styles hit Viction with a Spinnin' pimp slap followed by a Belly to Belly into the turnbuckle. Airington hit Viction with the Airslam late in the match but when he went for a cover C-Mac kicked him in the head. The match ended when Viction had Stylez on his shoulders and C-Mac nailed him with a flying body press of the top rope and pinned him to get the huge win. After the bell rang, both teams continued to battle until security held them apart. Tension was high between these teams and they will most likely meet again this Sunday at Assault.
Before the main event, Banks had a meeting with Team Corporate 2006. He said that if Nash or Craig are successful at taking the title away from Grunge, TJD will be a happy man and they will all get rewarded. Banks then said if they fail, TJD will be really pissed and he is very unforgiving. Craig and Nash reassured Banks and the rest of the team that they had things under control and that the SIW Championship is coming back home to team corporate.
After a quick promo for Meltdown in February, Jack Kent got a few words from Soren who has been a great addition to the Brawl roster. Soren said he is happy that he was given the chance to prove himself in the Assault Rumble and says he will use that opportunity show everyone that he is here in the SIW to win and make an impact.
Grunge who was accompanied by Drako and Chastity had the odds stacked against them as the champion basically took on Nash and Craig in a handicap match. Nash and Grunge ripped each other apart in the ring while Craig went after Drako on the outside and leveled him with a powerslam on the entrance ramp. Back in the ring Nash nailed Grunge with a pump handle slam and went for a cover but Craig broke the count by dropping and elbow. Nash and Craig then got into a huge argument which turned into a fist fight. Craig threw Nash out of the ring but was soon attacked by Grunge. As the ref tried to get Nash back in the ring, Grunge held Craig from behind, Chastity passed Drako a chair which he used to smash it over Craig’s skull. Moments later, Nash jumped back in the ring only to get smashed with the steel chair also. The ref called the match a DQ in Nash’s favor. Although Nash won the match, a championship cannot change hands by DQ or Count Out. Jill wanted a piece of Chastity but she was hiding behind Damage Inc. After the match, Nash and Craig blamed each other for what happen and started fighting again. Nash said he had the belt won before he interfered with the cover. Orka, Banks, Bad, Blain and Jill had to hold them back from attacking each other. With all the arguing and yelling in the ring, Team Corporate seemed to be falling apart as Brawl went off the air.
