Monday Night Brawl Interim General Manager – Greg Banks

April 25, 2005
Kemper Arena
Kansas City, Missouri
Rating: 9.2

Greg Banks was in charge of Monday Night Brawl for the first time as General Manager. Jack Kent from the Academy was called up for interviewing duties. Banks came out wearing a Full Force t-shirt and a bandage over his head from the night before when Rikki Cook broke a crutch over his head. Banks proudly introduced the new SIW World Champion and his favorite competitor, “The Crusader Of The Light” Angel. The champ got a huge ovation for his win over Glenn Kirby at Full Force. They were soon interrupted by Ryan “NuTz” Brown the former SIW Tag Team champion that made his return during Uzi’s match against Blain. NuTz distracted Angel long enough for Uzi to sneak up behind him and level him with a running bulldog. As NuTz and Uzi beat on the champion, Zach Blain ran out with a steel chair to help out the champ and chased the enemies out of the ring. Angel and Blain were pissed and demanded a tag team match with Uzi and NuTz, Banks accepted.

Jack Kent interviewed the SIW Women’s Champion Liana Lewis. He congratulated her on her win against Regina at Full Force. When asked if she favored a winner during the #1 contenders match she simply replied that she could beat any diva on the roster on any night. Kent asked her about her main squeeze Glenn Kirby and she said that she didn’t talk to him since Full Force. Before the interview ended, a staff member warned Liana that someone trashed her locker room and vandalized all her belongings. We hope to find out who is responsible for this despicable act.

Jill accompanied Ragin’ Craig for his match against “Powerhouse” Tim Smith. Craig got hit with a flying elbow and got sent to the outside. As Dr.Lucas tried to get involved but from behind, Jill nailed him with a devastating low blow. Ragin’ Craig won the match after delivering the Rage Factor and pinned Smith.

Envy was seen watching a monitor with a look of disgust backstage as James Airington came out to ringside wearing street clothes and explained his actions last night at Full Force. He said the reason he disposed of NBK and Envy was because they were holding him back. He said London was too injury prone and a shitty partner and Ian Bishop and Envy belonged on Days Of Our Lives. He said he had one more major problem and that was the current SIW European/Lightweight Champion Khristian Call. He accused Call of stealing his spotlight and that he was supposed to be the undefeated attraction in the SIW especially after his win over Vette in a Hell In A Cell. Khristian Call came out and told him to mind his fucking business and then all hell broke loose. They engaged in a violent confrontation until Polar and his security crew broke them up.

”The Incredible” Ian Bishop was back in action as he took on one of H-Bomb’s brother’s Dark Tiger who was accompanied by his bro Chimera. Bishop gained advantage after delivering a Tiger Bomb and went for the pin but Chimera jumped on the apron and distracted the ref. Bishop responded by nailing him with a drop kick that sent Chimera crashing into the Spanigh Table. Bishop won the match after delivering "The Incredible" Closeline. After the match, Bishop was overwhelmed by boos and chants for his unborn daughter Jenna Paige.

Jack Kent interviewed Matt Uzi and his partner NuTz. Uzi said from now on everyone can call him “The Greatest One” Matthew Uzi. He said that he guaranteed victory at Full Force and that’s just what he did. They said they had a special surprise for Angel and Blain also. They threatened their opponents until Angel and Blain jumped them and all hell broke loose again. Good thing for Polar, things were kept under control.

Christina continued her rampage on the women’s division with a rematch for the #1 contenders spot for the Women’s title against Shelly The Bod. Last Saturday, they fought to a count out. At the beginning of the match, Christina lied and said that Ferrari tried to trip her. The ref ejected her from the match and Shelly was upset. The match was very fast and back and forth all the way. Christina got hit with a Flying shoulder block and then felt the Shelly Splash. Christina was lucky and kicked out at the last second. Shelly almost got the upset win again after a doing a sunset flip but Christina countered the move into a small package with a handful of tights to win the match.

A promo for Rampage 2005 was aired, it was time for the SIW Board Of Directors to make a decision concerning the management status if Monday Night Brawl since Titan walked off the job last week. They said that they felt comfortable with Greg Banks in charge for the time being and that they will make a decision on a new and/or permanent General Manager for the televised programmed aired on Spike TV on Monday nights.

After a commercial break, the TrevorTron showed the O.C. winning their match by DQ at Full Force and then Asmodeus Macabre and Prophet competed in a brutal and bloody Barbed Wire Cage Match for the SIW Extreme Championship. Asmodeus defeated four other competitors in a Ladder Match to earn this shot. Macabre probably gave Prophet his biggest challenge yet and the champ seemed doomed since the match started. Macabre whipped Prophet several times across the cage until he was cut open. Mysery smashed Heaven over her head with a steel pipe and then threw it over the caqe and into the ring. Macabre caught it and nailed Prophet in his forehead. Macabre started to climb the cage but when he reached to the top, Prophet crawled up the cage and slammed Macabre’s head into the barbed wire making him fall fifteen feet onto the bloody canvas. Prophet won the match after he climbed out of the cage but he cut himself bad on the way out.

”Red Hot” Rikki Cook came out and claimed to want to apologize to Angelica Hunt and Olivia Danger for his actions that cost them their match against O.C. He said he was sorry for accusing her for being with Khristian Call but he was also sorry for something else, sorry that he had to get Christina to kick their ass. They turned around and there she was, Christina nailed Angelica in the ribs with a cop stick but before she hit Olivia, Ian Bishop shocked everyone and and helped the Hunt sisters. Rikki and Ian then got into a massive confrontation that ended in a fist fight which led all the way outside in front of the Kemper Arena. Kansas City authorities were even called because some people didn’t know a wrestling show was happening

The main event was off the hook and totally out of control. Angel and Uzi started the match immediately with Uzi gaining the advantage with a spine buster and a leg drop off the top rope.. The referee got knocked down midway through the match and that’s when Tyler "The Monster" Osborn came out as Uzi and NuTz’s insurance policy. Another referee came out and counted out both teams after NuTz and Blain fought on the outside past the ten count . Osborn powerslammed Blain through the commentary table but meanwhile in the ring, Angel had Uzi locked in the Judgment Sharpshooter and didn’t want to break the hold. NuTz grabbed Purgatory and broke it over Angel’s head leaving the SIW World Champion unconscious as the program came to an end. Were hoping Angel didn’t suffer from post-concussion syndrome especially since he just came back from a head injury.
