Monday Night Brawl General Manager – Greg Banks
The Season premier of Monday Night Brawl was presented on Spike TV with SIW co-owner Kim Derickson coming out to ringside. She announced that she made a decision and Greg Banks was officially the new Monday Night Brawl General Manager. Banks then officially introduced his new interviewer, Jack Kent from the academy. Kent spent two years in an indy promotion called Death Valley Wrestling before getting a job at the Academy. Banks and Kent were interrupted by “Red Hot” Rikki Cook who came out and talked shit and ridiculed them. As Rikki started pushing them around, the SIW North American Champion, “Incredible” Ian Bishop rushed out to help them but fell victim to the High Temperature.
The first match featured SIW Tag Team Champion Mysery take on Heaven Lee who was accompanied by Asmodeus Macabre. Heaven and Mysery have been at each others throats for quite some time and they got the chance to settle their differences in the ring. Mysery slapped her after the bell rang and all hell broke loose. Mysery nailed her with a sidewalk slam and then executed a leg drop off the top rope. As he went for the pin, Asmodeus Macabre pulled him out of the ring. Mysery responded with a heard right hand and sent him head first in the steel post. Heaven leaped to the outside and hit Mysery with a flying body press but Mysery moved out of the way. Mysery got a little cocky and showed off, but from behind, Heaven rolled him up with a hand full of tights and got the huge upset win. Before Mysery could do anything, Chimera and Dark Tiger came out from the crowd and leveled Mysery with a double closeline and then executed the doomsday device
Jill was walking backstage and left Ragin’ Craig to go to his match and then she ran into the SIW Women’s Champion Liana Lewis. They got into a stare down and Jill ended up spitting in her face. Christina walked by as Jill covered Liana’s face with lipstick but she didn’t help her. Instead, Christina jumped in and beat Liana even more and then spray painted “WHORE” on her back.
Prophet defeated Asmodeus Macabre, Ragin' Craig, "Powerhouse" Tim Smith, Caution and The Renegade in a brutal locker room brawl. Smith suffered a cracked vertebrae after getting a piledriver by Asmodeuson the concrete floor. Craig nailed Caution with a fire extinguisher but from behind the definition of hardcore leveled with a face buster. Prophet retained the SIW Extreme Championship after he pinned an injured Tim Smith. As Prophet celebrated, The Beastiary came out and leveled him the same way they did his tag team partner.
Mysery was fucking pissed at what happened and stormed into Greg’s office and demanded a re-match against Heaven next Monday to shut her up once and for all. Banks didn’t want to accept but Mysery pushed him around until he got his way. Next week, Mysery will take on Heaven in a cage match.
Another intergender match took place as undefeated James Airington took on former SIW Women’s Champion Angelica Hunt. Angelica who was accompanied by SIW European Champion Khristian Call almost got an upset win just like Heaven when she nailed Airington with a drop kick and then the A-Bomb Drop. Airington surprised everyone when he kicked out. Angelica fell short after she missed a closeline and Airington capitalized with the AirSlam. As Call checked on Angelica, Airington went to smash a steel chair over his skull but Call turned around and kicked it in his face. Call told him he’s a dead man at Rampage for all the things he’s done to Angelica.
NuTz and Tyler”The Monster” Osborn came out to ringside with their contract to fight Blain and they decided to pick a fight. NuTz said that he was going to accomplish everything Blain did at the Academy in one night. NuTz wanted to beat five opponents just like Blain did to graduate. First he called out Johnny Jobber and pinned him after delivering the NuTz and BoLtZ. Next to lose was Fake Vex after devastating DDT. Fake Enigma walked into a big boot and then got leveled with a neck breaker before getting pinned. Cyrix Vangore got pinned immediately after getting whipped in the corner and got nailed with a running powerslam. As NuTz waited for the fifth opponent, Zach Blain came out from the crowd and drop kicked Osborn out of the ring and then nailed NuTz with the Punishment Driver. Before he went for the pin, Osborn grabbed him from behind and leveled him with a chokeslam. Osborn had to carry a knocked out NuTz way on his shoulder.
After a promo for Rampage 2005, “Red Hot” Rikki Cook took on “Incredible” Ian Bishop in a non-title match. They fought in the ring for about five minutes until things got out of control. The fought all the way into the parking lot and even fought off officials. They both got counted out but Hayden announced that at Rampage, Rikki and Bishop will face each other in a match with the SIW North American championship involved.
After a commercial break, General Manager Greg Banks said that he just talked to a former SIW North American champion and he arranged it for him to make his return to Monday Night Brawl next week. He then gathered most of the divas (Regina Todd, Olivia Danger, Michelle, Envy, Shelly the Bod, Heaven Lee) that are going to be in the Diva Rumble at Rampage. He told them that the winner of the demanding match will face the SIW Women’s Champion whoever it may be at SIW Desperate Measures
The guitar solo challenge was next between SIW World champion Angel and his Rampage challenger Matt Uzi. As he strapped on his JACKSON USA RR1, Uzi played the bass riff from Stand By Me and then the beginning of Smoke On the Water. Angel cut him off with purgatory and stole the show as he played some classic Zepplin and killer Metallica riffs before getting into some psychedelic virtuoso perfection. Uzi was jealous at Angel’s skills and then swung his guitar but he missed the champ. Angel then swung purgatory only to miss as well. Uzi got lucky locking Angel in his own finisher the Judgement Sharpshooter as the program ended
