Monday Night Brawl General Manager – Greg Banks
It was a huge night in Atlanta as the SIW presented a special Monday Night Brawl live from the Philips Arena. Hometown diva and current SIW Women’s Champion came out at the beginning of the show and received a huge ovation. Xtina soon crashed the homecoming and the two divas got into a catfight. They were interrupted by Jill and Ragin’ Craig who came out and laughed at them. They surrounded the ring but security came out fast enough before anything happen. Later in the night, Liana Lewis was scheduled to fight Jill in a non-title match.
The first match featured SIW Tag Team/Lightweight Champion Mysery take on Heaven Lee in a cage match. Macabre was told to stay backstage during this match. During the whole match, the crowd chanted “title shot” in favor of giving Heaven a shot at the SIW Lightweight Championship. Heaven surprised her critics when she gave Mysery another great fight slamming his face several times into the cage. Mysery dominated a lot of the match and came close to winning several times but Heaven just wouldn’t stay down even with a busted lip. As Mysery climbed the cage, Heaven followed and hit a low blow and slammed his head into the cage causing him to fall to the canvas. Heaven got yet another upset win over the SIW Lightweight Champion, two weeks in a row when she successfuly climbed out of the steel cage.
The SIW World Champion Angel arrived at the Philips Arena accompanied by Jessie. Jack Kent quickly took the opportunity to get an interview. Angel didn’t have much to say except ask if Matt Uzi had arrived yet. Kent directed him to his locker room. Angel knocked on the door but Uzi sent his lawyer Gabe Nelson to answer it. Nelson said that the icon was too busy to talk and slammed the door in Angel’s face and locked it.
Prophet tried to calm down Mysery before his match and guaranteed victory against Ragin’ Craig. Prophet and Craig beat the hell out of each other all the way in the crowd. Ragin wanted to body slam Prophet off the second floor but Prophet managed to flip over and kick Craig into a pile of seats. Prophet retained the SIW Extreme championship after a pin fall. Paramedics took Craig out on a stretcher and Prophet received medical attention after the match.
SIW graduate Zach Blain came to the ring accompanied by a large man dressed like Tyler “The Monster“ Osborn. The Tyler look alike emphasized on his losing streak and how he likes to suck NuTz’s nuts. Zach Blain then called a skinny dude from the crowd and made him fight the Tyler look alike. The skinny dude bit his leg and he fell to the ground crying like a baby and got pinned. The real NuTz and Tyler Osborn then rushed out and beat the living hell out of the skinny dude and the Tyler look alike. NuTz and Tyler promised a rampage at Rampage as Blain walked back up the ramp out of harms way laughing at them.
MNB General Manager Greg Banks was approached by staff members that advised him that not only his special guest had arrived at the arena but another showed up unexpected as well. When Banks asked who it was he just smiled as they whispered in his ear. Banks then addressed the crowd and said the match at Rampage between Liana and Xtina will be none other than a ladder match with the SIW Women’s Championship hanging from above.
Angelica Hunt was the announced referee for the match between James Airington and Rikki Cook against the SIW European Champion Khristian Call and the SIW North American Champion Ian Bishop. James and Rikki made it that if Angelica didn’t call the match down the middle then she would face suspension. Angelica supposedly tripped on the stairs and then announced a shocker; since she was “hurt”, she said her replacement was none other than Vette. Airington bitched and complained but from behind Bishop nailed him with a flying forearm and the match got underway. Rikki entered the ring illegally and Vette body pressed him to the outside into the crowd. After the Airslam to Call, James went for the pin but Vette was distracted by Bishop. Airington pushed Vette and the big man pushed Airington right back. Cook came back to his senses and nailed Bishop with a steal chair and then leveled Vette. After they beat Vette down, they threw Angelica in the ring and threatened to beat her and Call with the chair also. Out of the blue, the crowd exploded when former SIW North American champion and Angelica’s ex-husband Terror Soule made an unexpected return. Terror closelined Airington out of the ring and leveled Cook with the Soule Fusion and threw him out also. Angelica was happy to see Terror made it to Atlanta to save her and Call from a brutal beating.
H-Bomb appeared on the Trevortron live via satellite from the hospital. She said that this week she will be out of the hospital and will be at Carnage to make a huge family announcement. H-Bomb appeared in high spirits and seemed to be happy. H-Bomb holds the longest running title reign in SIW Women’s championship history. Liana Lewis has a chance to break her record at Rampage if she can overcome the wrath of SIW’s top evil diva Xtina.
After a promo for Rampage 2005, Xtina walked to the ring with a bottle of champagne and took on commentary with Hayden and Dunns for Jill and Liana’s non-title match. Jill and Liana gave it their all in a back and forth match. Although Liana had her hometown crowd behind her, Jill managed to get the upper hand in the match after she pulled Liana’s hair to get out of a head lock and then nailed her with a standing closeline. Liana was seeing stars but avoided a drop kick and quickly capitalized with Liana’s Flow. Liana won the match after getting the pinfall. At the end, Xtina offered a glass of champagne to the champ and she accepted. After the toast, Xtina spat it back in her face and nailed her with the Goodie Kick. How will these divas ever co-exist next Thursday when they take on Jill and Ragin Craig in a tag match? Will Craig even be able to compete?
After a commercial break, Jimmy Hayden called out the SIW World Champion Angel and his challenger at Rampage, the self proclaimed “Greatest One” Matt Uzi for the official weigh in. Both competitors didn’t take their eyes of each other and you can tell Jessie wanted a piece of Uzi after what he did to her last week. Uzi weighed in at 235 lbs and the champion had the advantage at 247lbs. Things got ugly when Uzi started running his mouth and Angel gently moved Jessie aside. As they began to shout and pushing each other, the Atlanta crowd got another treat when one of their own, the Authority Of Atlanta, the former SIW World Champion Glenn Kirby rushed to the ring and nailed Angel with a fist to his jaw and then leveled Uzi with the Thug Bug. As Angel got up, he also received the Thug Bug and dropped to the canvas. Glenn Kirby held a party and celebrated his return with everyone in his home town to end the program.
