Monday Night Brawl General Manager – Greg Banks
The program started live from the Air Canada Center in Toronto, Ontario. For the first time in eight years, commentators Travis Dunns and Jimmy Hayden were separated. Dunns made fun of his new co-worker Mike “The Mic” Thompson at the beginning of the show but not long after, General Manager Greg Banks came out and welcomed everyone to his wrestling brand. Banks was soon interrupted by SIW veteran Terror Soule who sent a message to Bulldog from Carnage telling him he’s lucky that he was drafted because he would still be the SIW Extreme Champion if he were on Carnage and one day he will get his revenge. Onto the SIW European Champion Khristian Call, Soule demanded a match with Call for his belt next week but Banks told him he’ll get his match but only at Desperate Measures on June 26.
Jill came out wearing an anti-Ragin’ Craig t-shirt as she took on Gwen Chambers in her debut match. Jill whipped her to the corner and nailed her with a corner splash and then closlelined her out of the ring. After a back body drop on the outside, Jill threw Gwen back in the ring and pinned her after delivering a sit down powerbomb.
I-4 members (Rus, Disco, Willy and Andrew) arrived at the arena a little late and appeared intoxicated. Jack Kent tried to get a few words from them but all he got was a plate of food in the face and a wedgie. Russel pointed at his ugly belt “Inventor of the Piledriver” title and reminded Call who he’s fucking with. Disco and Willy were about to talk shit but out of nowhere The Beasiary showed up. Russel smashed a chair over Chimera’s head while Disco and Willy picked up Dark Tiger and rammed him head first into the cement wall. Damage Inc also jumped in but security was quick to end all the backstage chaos.
A video promo for new MNB superstar Damien Dunn was aired. Damien will take on Ragin’ Craig in his televised debut next week on Monday Night Brawl.
A commercial for SIW Desperate Measures was played highlighting the first brand split PPV. Mike “The Mic” then announced the affiliation of Monday Night Brawl and the ladies of the NWWA. The SIW will be covering the NWWA in the next few weeks and possibly get some of their talent in a SIW ring.
The Super Patriots were stripped of the SIW World Tag Team championship after they got drafted to Carnage leaving the titles vacant. On MNB four teams were given the chance to compete for it. Greg Banks made the match an elimination match. The Beastiary were eliminated first after Ragin’ Craig pinned Chimera after delivering the Rage Factor. Damage Inc suffered the same faith after Terror Soule pinned Drako after executing the Soule Fusion. Craig and Terror had the match in their favor until Andrew Seaman decided to interfere. Old man Seaman threw in the ring bell and then distracted the ref. Willy went to use the bell but Soule moved out of the way and drop kicked him out of the ring and then punched Andrew off the apron. The match ended when Terror rolled up Disco into small package but Khristian Call came out from the crowd and pushed Disco over giving him the advantage and the pin the win the match. Ragin’ Craig trashed the ringside area when he realized what happen and Terror Soule chased Call backstage.
The SIW Champion Angel arrived in a limo accompanied by his girlfriend Jessie. They seemed to be in a good mood as they headed towards their locker room. “the Crusader Of the Light” was scheduled to have a one on one interview with Jack Kent later in the night.
Xtina got a Rampage re-match for the SIW Women’s Championship in her hometown as she took on Liana Lewis who was reported having 104 fever. Xtina was cheered on for once giving her control of the match and almost got a pin fall after hitting the champ with a kick to the mid section and a running bulldog but Liana kicked out. After an awesome closeline off the top rope, Liana called for Liana’s Flow but Xtina speared her to the outside. Xtina won the match by Count out after she nailed Liana with a Goodie Kick off the apron and knocked her out when her head banged the commentary table. Paramadics took out the champion but all Xtina cared about was getting another rematch.
After a commercial break, H-Bomb and Regina Todd were backstage talking about paint colors for baby Jenna Paige’s room. After watching the last match, Regina Todd called Liana Lewis a weak individual and guaranteed to win the Women’s Championship at Desperate Measures. Regina Todd dedicated her match at Desperate Measures to Jenna Paige and H-Bomb.
Ragin’ Craig was walking in the hallway looking down from his loss and then ran into Jill who won her match. She started laughing at him and calling him a loser and said he was nothing without her. After she slapped him, he chased her down the hall only to get leveled with a steel pipe at the hands of Damien Dunn. This was obviously a set up on the part of Jill and Damien.
After a video package showing Khristian Call’s win at Rampage making him still undefeated, he put his SIW European Championship on the line against former SIW European Champion Russel McPiledriverton. Call got some near falls at the beginning of the match but russel really gained the advantage after he elbowed Call in jaw knocking him to the outside and drawing some blood. Russel then set up the champ on the Spanish table and broke it when he slammed Call through it with a spine buster. Back in the ring Russel went for the pin fall but Call kicked out. Khristian hit a snap underhook DDT and called for his finisher but out of nowhere Terror Soule rushed out and leveled the champion with a steel chair causing a disqualification in Call’s favor. Russel went to attack Soule but Terror knocked him out of the ring with a chair shot to his face. Terror Soule then wrapped the chair around Call’s throat and jumped on it off the top rope causing bleeding and internal damage.
Jack Kent held a special interview with the SIW Champion Angel and Jessie. The champ signed a few autographs on his way to the ring and gave his wings and guitar to a handicap kid in the front row. Kent
was quick to ask what his thoughts were about being the first pick for MNB.Angel responded saying that GM Greg Banks knew what he was doing when he called Angel as his first choice. Mr. Banks picked a man that can and will lead MNB now and for years to come. He knew from day one since Angel was a rookie right here when SIW re-opened its doors, Angel was going to be a star for the
future. Angel stated that this future was now and MNB will officially be known as
Monday Night Service for he'd whoop the crap outta anyone who dared to try to
take his halo from him. As he stated that Uzi was no longer a problem since he was drafted to Carnage and he beat him at Rampage. Angel really tore into the Carnage talent saying that nearly
everyone over there were a bunch of re-hashes and the new SIW Heavyweight title
is a bad joke compared to legacy that people like American Bulldog and Ninja
left on the SIW Championship. He and Jessie were cut off by Bernardo Williams who came out in a neck brace. He took the mic out of Angel’s hand and told him he's a pathetic champion and in due time the real World Champ will be here, and will soon be here to collect what's rightfully his and then walked out, holding his neck brace in place, walking backwards and staring at Angel all the way up the ramp.
