Monday Night Brawl General Manager – Greg Banks

July 4, 2005
MCI Center
Washington, D.C.
Rating: 9.3

MNB was live in the nation’s capital for an Independence Day Special. Greg Banks came out and thanked everyone for celebrating their independence with the SIW on a special night. He introduced one of his three trades and said they were going to sing the “star spangled banner”. Everyone was surprised when former SIW Women’s Champion Angelica Hunt walked out from the back. Angelica was happy to return on MNB and delivered a great performance. Who would have thought that Angelica had hidden talents? When she reached the end of the anthem, the celebration was tarnished with a Jaffar and Mohamed Abdul Sheik appearance. They talked about how bad it was to live in America and how they hated the racism, stereotyping and bigotry that takes place on American soil against the Middle East. Mo said there was nothing to be happy about and nothing to celebrate about. Angelica told them to love it or leave it and said that one day someone somewhere will kick the shit out of them. The crowd chanted U.S.A as she waved the American flag. Mo and Jaffar were disgusted and left ringside.

Shelby Kirby took on Jill in the first match. Jill dominated the former Carnage GM and almost pinned her after a hurricanranna but Kirby kicked out. Shelby gained momentum near the end of the match but missed a drop kick and Jill capitalized with a DDT. As Jill called for her finisher, Ragin’ Craig came out from under the ring and pulled her out. As she bitched him out, Shelby nailed her with a running bulldog on the concrete floor. Jill was too big for Shelby so Ragin threw her back in the ring and Shelby pinned her for the win.

Grunge asked Jack Kent to interview him before the next match. Grunge announced that he had a meeting with SIW Co-owner Kim Derickson last week and she gave him the go ahead to bring in his surprise next week on Monday Night Brawl.

SIW’s only transvestite Dr. Frank N Furter took on Damien Dunn in the next match and remained undefeated after pinning Dunn with a sit down power bomb off the top rope. Frank celebrated by hugging and groping the referee. Security had to pull him off referee Andrew Yung. Katie Mysfit took a shot at the SIW Lightweight Champion Envy and blamed her for the “thing in the ring”

Carnage rewind was aired. Last week James Airington made history when he won the tournament and defeated “Red Hot” Rikki Cook for the SIW Heavyweight Championship. Airington will defend the championship at Summer Sonic, the match will be announced this Thursday on Carnage.

“Incredible” Ian Bishop arrived at the MCI Center wearing a Edmonton Oilers jersey and was booed heavily. Jack Kent asked about the jersey and Ian said he didn’t give a rats ass about independence day or any other American festivities. Bishop then showed everyone his Canada Flag duffle bag as he left to his locker room accompanied by guards

After a commercial break, MNB GM Greg Banks introduced his second trade, newcomer ABA made his way to the ring and shook hands with his new boss. He promised to take over MNB and that his main goal was the SIW Championship. He was interrupted by Ragin’ Craig who came to the ring and told him to stop dreaming. Craig told him with Jill out of the way, he is the man to beat on MNB. They got into a fist fight and brawled all the way to the locker room area until Polar sent security to the ring to stop the chaos.

Katie Mysfit and Jimmy Hayden ran a promo on MNB live in Annapolis, Maryland this Wednesday. The SIW Champion Angel teams up with SIW European Champion Khristian Call as they take on “Primetime” Ryan Johnson and “Incredible” Ian Bishop in tag team action. Also Xtina will have to defend the SIW Women’s Championship against Jill. The event is sold out.

Asmodeus Macabre made his way to the ring accompanied by Isabella Delevega and his tag team partner, The Beast Master as he was scheduled to fight one half of the SIW world tag team champions “Disco Duck” Jimmy Cefalo. The rest of I-4 surrounded the ring during the match. Asmodeus whipped Cefalo in the turnbuckles and executed a corner splash followed by a power slam. He went for the pin but old man Seaman jumped up on the apron to distract the referee. Beast Master pulled him off by his legs but back in the ring, Willy and Russel hit Asmodeus with a double chair shot to his head knocking him down to the canvas. Beast Master took out Russel and Willy but it was too late, Cefalo took advantage of the situation and pinned Macabre to steal the win.

The SIW European Champion Khristian Call was called in to the General Manager’s office. Last week Call said he was leaving the SIW after Summer Sonic if he didn’t get a SIW Championship title shot. Banks emphasized on the facts that MNB was his show and he called the shots and that “Primetime” Ryan Johnson was the #1 contender whether he liked it or not. Banks then made a match since Call thought he was so good. He said if he could beat Primetime next week on MNB he would grant his title shot at Summer Sonic.

After a commercial for Summer Sonic, Terror Soule was in his locker room hitting a punching bag before his match. Jack Kent asked him about his match and Terror told everyone that he was going to continue his path to the SIW European Championship and if he had to beat Ian Bishop to do that so be it. He told Call to get off his high horse and that his days as undefeated champ are coming to an end.

In the next segment, SIW Women’s Champion Xtina and Regina Todd came to the ring for their contract signing. The contract was signed and they didn’t take their eyes off each other the whole time. Finally Xtina snapped when Regina gave her the middle finger. Xtina spit in her face and slapped her. Xtina jumped on top of her and started punching her. Regina pulled her off by her hair and started punching back. Officials ended up rushing to the ring to stop the cat fight. Don’t miss the hottest event of the year as the SIW Women’s Champion Xtina takes on Regina Todd at Summer Sonic

The next match was for a shot at the SIW European Championship at Summer Sonic. After making his return last week, Ian Bishop attacked the champion Khristian Call thinking a match would get handed to him. Banks decided to make a #1 contender match against Terror Soule. Bishop avoided a flying elbow and executed a side suplex and tried to get a pin fall but Soule kicked out. After an Asian Spike, Soule went off the top rope for a flying headbutt. Bishop moved at the last minute and quickly went for his finisher but Soule sent him to the outside with a back body drop. Bishop landed his head on the steel steps and lay on the ground motionless. Soule threw him back in the ring and went for the pin but Bishop shocked everyone and kicked out. Bishop pulled an upset win after ducking a flying headbutt off the top rope and pinned him after delivering The Cyclone.

Former SIW Women’s Champion Liana Lewis made a surprise appearance for the MNB July fourth special. She came out surrounded by soldiers and wearing an American flag bikini. She said it was hard losing her championship, getting injured and separated from her boyfriend Glenn Kirby, but she was back better than ever. Angelica came out and Liana didn’t seem to pleased to get interrupted. Angelica told her she had a surprise for her and announced that the third and final MNB trade was for none other than the former SIW Champion Glenn Kirby.

Jaffar came to the ring getting debris thrown at him and Mo. He was on his way to host the second edition of Jaffar’s Cave and his guests were Ryan Johnson and Bernardo. Bernardo came out alone and laughed about the SIW Champion Angel and his girlfriend Jessie not being at the MCI center because of what he and Primetime did last week. Bernardo said Primetime would be champ if it wasn’t for the shitty job they did on the cage. Bernardo said Primetime was at home resting and then called out Khristian Call. He insulted him until he instigated Call to push him in the corner. Out of nowhere, Primetime came out from the crowd with a chain wrapped around his fist and nailed Call in the back of his head knocking him down to the canvas. Bernardo set up a chair and Primetime delivered a DDT to Call on the chair as the program ended.
