NAWA Glory 1/3/04

We are taped December 22 2003 from Ft Wayne Indiana. This is NAWA Glory airing for a special Sunday edition on January 3rd 2004. Two years ago on this night, the NAWA invaded your Television screens and the wrestling world has never been the same since. If you missed StarClash 03, shame on you. Be sure to catch one of the many encore presentations airing into Mid January. Lots of big things happened, some that we will briefly tough on tonight. We are less than a month away from the next NAWA Pay Per View Luck of the Draw. But we have Glory tonight. Miles Stylish will face off against the Gambler, Christopher Daniels will face off against CM Punk, and in the main event Norman Smiley, Ron Waterman, and Scott Hall will face Jeff Jarrett, Mike Sanders, and Shawn Stasiak.

We are going to begin things with the NAWA Tag Team Titles on the line as "OMG LOL WTF" plays and out comes The Backyard Dudes, Fernado Romero Entonio Dominic(alias F.R.E.D) and Twizted Youth(alias mindless yardtard). They act like idiots as they enter the ring and we are going to kick off 2004 with a whimper(even through this show was taped in late 2003 thanks to the NAWA's new lovely new budget of having two live televised shows and a Pay Per View a month).

"Heartbreaker" by Led Zepplin plays and out come the NAWA Tag Team Champions, Sean Waltman and Michael Shane. Two weeks ago at Starclash(or one day ago depending on whether you want to go with the air date or the taping date) Waltman and Shane captured the tag gold from Stasiak and Sanders. The bell rings and this Tag Team Title defense is underway.

NAWA Tag Team Title Match The Backyard Dudes vs The Kliq(c)

Twizted Youth makes his mother proud by botching a punch out of the starting gate and it all goes down hill from there. Waltman and Shane do not have the talent to carry those two choads above a DUD and it shows. The French Revolution interferes for no reason other than to prolong this feud for another Pay Per View and Waltman takes down Fernado Whatever Whosiwhatis or F.R.E.D. with the X-Factor to put us out of our misery.

Sean Waltman and Michael Shane defeated The Backyard Dudes when Waltman pinned F.R.E.D with the X-Factor in 0:02:12. Rating: -* 1/4 (Sean Waltman and Michael Shane retained the NAWA Tag Team Titles.)

The French Revolution enter the ring and attack the Backyard Dudes with punches and more punches and maybe a couple of kicks in there. Waltman and Shane stare at the French Revolution and they run off in terror. SHAWN STASIAK AND MIKE SANDERS ENTER THE RING! Waltman and Shane get attacked from behind. The former champions are laying a beating on the current champions. Full Nelson delivered to Shane and Waltman is driven down with the 3.0. This allows Sanders to pound Shane while he is in the full nelson. Stasiak grabs Shane in a torture rack and this allows Sanders to take him down with a neckbreaker. Sanders and Stasiak pick up the NAWA Tag Team Title Belts and pose with them. You have got to believe that Stasiak and Sanders want the belts once again.

"Take My Breath Away" by Berlin plays and the crowd boos big time as the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion Teddy Hart makes his way to the ring. Last Sunday another challenger fell to the might of the Cruiserweight Wrestling Prodigy, as Mr. Hart so calls himself. Teddy poses with the Cruiserweight Title Belt before getting on the microphone.

Teddy: You would think that after month after month of me defending this belt, the fans and all the wrestlers in this company will get this one simple point. I just can't be beaten. My shoulders have never been pinned to the canvas in the New Age Wrestling Alliance and I owe it all to me great wrestling ability. Yet once again, the suits in the back don't think I should be the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion. They seem to think that I don't deserve this piece of gold over my shoulder. Let's face facts folks. I beat Jimmy Yang and ran him out of the New Age Wrestling Alliance. I beat Christopher Daniels. I defeated Michael Shane. I defeated CM Punk. Hell, I beat both CM Punk and Michael Shane in the same match back at Last Chance at Redemption and now the latest pretender to my throne, the man who attacked me last Sunday for no good reason. AJ Styles.

Teddy Hart attempted to cost AJ Styles and the Gambler that tag team match and Teddy got his receipt by getting laid out with the Styles Clash. What the hell is he playing at!

Teddy Hart: Listen AJ, you do not want to face off against me because you will be just another statistic to the list of great cruiserweights who have failed in knocking me off and taking the NAWA Cruiserweight Title. You may call yourself phenominal but the truth is, I am the only wrestler worth of that distinction. Ask anyone who I have bested in the ring, who the greatest wrestler in the world today is and they will all point to one man, Teddy Hart. This is your only warning Styles, unless you want to be put down by wrestling excellence. I don't care who the people in the New Age Wrestling Alliance have picked to wrestle me tonight, but he will be another statistic as I once again retain my Cruiserweight Championship.

Teddy Hart drops the microphone as the Challenger for the NAWA Cruiserweight Title, the Amazing Red, makes his way to the ring. The bell rings and this match is underway.

NAWA Cruiserweight Title Match The Amazing Red vs Teddy Hart(c)

Teddy slaps Red to start and pays dearly for it with some chops and a flipping dropkick. A couple of armdrags and Teddy whipped off into the ropes. Spinning headscissors takes Teddy down and forearms to the face. Teddy goes to the eyes to slow the momentum of Red and Teddy works over the back of Red with some suplexes and a couple of backbreakers. Teddy goes for the Sharpshooter but Red manages to roll up the champion for a two count. Red delivers a leaping enzuigiri knocking Teddy onto the middle rope. Double foot swinging kick and springboard rana, Red scores a two count. Red bounces off the ropes, legsweep, Red Star Press, another nearfall. Red lifts up Teddy, Swinging DDT drives Teddy down to the canvas. Red goes to the top for the Infa Red but Teddy gets the knees up and Red collides with the knees.

Teddy beats down Red and set up, double underhook power bomb. Teddy lifts up Red and Russian Legsweep. Pick up and Vertical Suplex. Teddy goes for a power bomb but Red counter with the Code Red, nearly winning the title on the fluke. Crucifix is blocked and Death Valley Driver. Teddy sets up Red and delivers the Styles Clash, mocking AJ Styles. Teddy goes to the top rope and delivers the Hart Attack. Teddy covers with the feet on the ropes just to be a dick to score the pin and retain the championship.

Teddy Hart pinned The Amazing Red with the Hart Attack in 0:06:14. Rating: ** 3/4 (Teddy Hart retained the NAWA Cruiserweight Title.)

Teddy Hart picks up the NAWA Cruiserweight Title and lifts up Red before pushing his face up against the belt and yelling: "This is the closest you are going to get to my belt." Teddy shoves Red down and walks off with the belt. Someone will beat Teddy Hart someday. Could that be AJ Styles? We will find out soon.

We cut to a pre taped video package where Scott Hall is waiting at a bar for someone.

Hall: He said he'd be here by now. I hope he didn't get detained on the way because that would mess with the Kliq's plans.

The door of the bar opens and the camera pans back to reveal...Jeff Jarrett, Shawn Stasiak, and Mike Sanders.

Jarrett:(in a sarcastic tone of voice) Hey yo, chico. (normal tone). Listen Hall, you cost me my match at the Pay Per View against Norman and the Chosen One is not going to take that lightly. So you can apologize and we can pretend this never happened or me and my boys will beat the ever living hell out of you Hall.

Hall: You know what Jarrett, you can go down here.

Jarrett: Oh really, down where all.

Hall: Down here.

Hall crotch chops at Jarrett and this causes Stasiak and Sanders to start walking forward but a pair of hands clasp them on the shoulder.

Voice: I wouldn't advise that action, boys, because the calvary is here.

The camera pans back to reveal...KEVIN NASH!!

Jarrett: Nash, this isn't about you. Now be a good oversized slapnut and walk off but be careful so you don't tear your quad by walking again.

Nash: Very funny, Jarrett. I think you should hang up the boots and go into a career as a comedian because you don't have the talent to get it done in the ring as you have lost how many Pay Per View matches this year.

Jarrett steps back before gritting his teeth.

Jarrett: Take him out.

Stasiak and Sanders go after Nash but Nash steps to the side and they fly over the pool table. This allows Hall to jump over the pool table and take both Stasiak and Sanders out with a double clothesline.

Jarrett: You idiots. Get up. This is one guy who tears his quad by walking and the other who is too drunk to breath half the time. You can take these two slap nuts out.

Stasiak and Sanders get up and trip over each other.

Jarrett: You idiotic slapnuts, fine I'll just do it myself.

Jarrett goes for a punch to Hall but Hall blocks it and punches away at Jarrett. Hall grabs Jarrett by the throat and tosses him into the kaoroke machine before pounding away with punches. Nash walks over and taunts Jarrett. Hall grabs Jarrett and throws him out of the bar. Hall picks up Stasiak and Sanders and tosses them out of the bar as well. With that we fade to a

"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays and the crowd boos as Miles Stylish makes his way down to the ring. Stylish lost to Ron Waterman last Sunday at StarClash but he took Waterman to the limit and came the closest anyone has ever had to ending Waterman's undefeated streak. Stylish will face an old rival tonight, in the Gambler. Last time these two met, Stylish won but the Gambler gave him a fight. Stylish has the microphone.

Stylish: At StarClash, well what happened there isn't really important. The fact of the matter is, I am still the best wrestler in the world today and tonight on Glory, I will face the Gambler. Gambler, I put your friend Tony Mamaluke on the shelf so what do you think I am going to do to you once we get in the ring. Fact of the matter is this, you are looking at the man who should be the NAWA World Champion but for some reason I keep getting denied title shots. So this goes out to the so called NAWA World Champion, Harry Harris. Harris, you are running on borrowed time. That belt is coming around my waist and my road to the title starts tonight with the Gambler. I will become number one contender to the NAWA World Title by taking out every other possible challenger to your belt. You can save a lot of careers, Harris, if you just give me my rightful title shot at Luck of the Draw. Otherwise, a lot of bodies will be battered to prove a point of why I should be standing here with the NAWA World Title around my waist. With that being said, Gambler get out here so you can get a taste of the most supreme athlete in the world of sports today, Miles Stylish.

Stylish drops a microphone. He is still whining about how he hasn't gotten an NAWA World Title Shot. "Highway to Hell" by AC/DC plays and the Gambler makes his way down to the ring. The Gambler enters the ring and the bell rings, kicking off this match.

The Gambler vs Miles Stylish The Gambler begins this match with his old school offense of clotheslines, forearms, and back drops and Stylish is knocked off balance until he manages to stick a thumb into the eye of the Gambler and work him over with a couple of European Uppercuts and some chops. Spinning Headscissors off a rope whip and Stylish works over the Gambler's back with a multitude of suplexes and backbreakers. Stylish props the Gambler up in the corner and does his ten count punch thing before flipping the Gambler down with a Frankensteiner for a nearfall. More back work delivered by Stylish and Stylish has a Rocking Horse Submission on the Gambler but the Gambler manages to escape the hold.

Stylish is getting frustrated and after a couple of knees to the back, he sets the Gambler up top. Superplex is blocked and Stylish is shoved off. Double Axe Handle is caught into a T-Bone Suplex and nearfall is scored. Stylish delivers a running neck snap and sets up the Gambler for the Las Vegas Trauma but the Gambler counters by dropping down and hooking the head. Roll of the Dice drops Stylish down on his face and two count only. Gambler whips Stylish off the turnbuckles and back drop. Punches, inverted atomic drop, and clothesline sends Stylish 360. The Gambler hoists Stylish above his head and Gorilla Press. Stylish begs off but the Gambler responds by kicking him in the midsection several times. The Gambler delivers a spinebuster to Stylish for a two count.

The Gambler is up top and Roulette Spin connects but Stylish gets dropped to the floor in a bad break for the Gambler. The Gambler steps to the floor and rolls Stylish back into the ring but Stylish kicks out at two. The Gambler picks up Stylish and punch to th eface. The Gambler sets Stylish on the top rope facing the crowd and knee to the head. The Gambler hooks him in a gutwrench and attempted Doctor Bomb off the top but STYLISH COUNTERS WITH A SUPER FRANKENSTEINER! Stylish puts the Gambler on his shoulders and drills him down with the Las Vegas Trauma. Stylish hooks the Gambler around the head and jerks his head up and down with the Stylish Special, his version of a dragon sleeper. The Gambler attempts to bridge out but he can't. The Gambler has nowhere to go so the Gambler must tap out giving Stylish the win.

Miles Stylish made The Gambler submit to the Stylish Special in 0:09:03. Rating: *** 1/4

Miles is refusing to release the hold and he continues to work over the head of the Gambler. Stylish is putting the pressure on and the referee attempts to get him off but Stylish shoves the referee and keeps the hold on. The crowd is cheering about something. IT'S THE NAWA WORLD CHAMPION, HARRY HARRIS! Harry Harris comes out from the back and into the ring and grabs Miles by the hair and knocks him to the floor with a clothesline. Miles attempts to get out Harris but sercurity is holding him back. The crowd is cheering Harry Harris who we understand has over a hundred stiches over his right eye and on part of his forehead from that brutal beating he suffered at the hands Jerry Lynn from StarClash. Harris calls for the microphone.

Harris: Stylish, Stylish, Stylish, you wanted my attention? Well, I'm not hard to find. Luck of the Draw, you've got your chance at the NAWA World Title but let me promise you one thing. I will remain NAWA World Champion after that night and finally score a pinfall victory over you. This is your one and only chance to become champion, Miles. Don't choke on this one like you choked against Ron Waterman at StarClash.

Stylish nods and says: "damn right you better give me a title shot." It's Miles Stylish and Harry Harris for the NAWA World Title at Luck of the Draw on February 1st. That should be a classic match, the first time these two have collided on Pay Per View, althrough they have had many classic matches on TV.

Backstage:

Commissioner Steamboat is sitting in his office.

Steamboat: Last Sunday on Pay Per View, Jerry Lynn assaulted Rowdy Roddy Piper, who was acting as a referee of the New Age Wrestling Alliance. Despite repeated warnings to stop his vile conduct, Jerry Lynn simply does not listen and thus the many fines we have levied against him have little to no effect. As a result of this latest offense, Jerry Lynn has been suspended from the New Age Wrestling Alliance for a period of Thirty Days and he has been put on probation for a total of Ninety Days. If he violates any more rules in the New Age Wrestling Alliance, his contract will be terminated. Thank you for your time.

With those words we fade to

The French Horn music plays and this is not on the format. Pierre Marquette makes his way out to the ring along with Lord Napoleon and Jacques Strap. Marquette grabs the microphone.

Pierre Marquette: Shut up you imperilist American pigs. There is one thing that as been bothering me as of late of in the New Age Wrestling Alliance. This is the NAWA World Champion, Harry Harris. You can see that he represents all you idiots in the crowd with his vile ways and I tend to put a stop to his bad infulence tonight by putting him down to the canvas. Come on Harris, you know for a fact that you cannot beat me as I am French so I am superior. Get out here and bring your championship belt with you because I will put you down to the canvas and become the NAWA World Champion.

Has this guy lost his mind? Does he honestly think he can beat the NAWA World Champion, Harry Harris? This guy couldn't even beat Twizted Youth at the last Pay Per View. "Danger Zone" by Kenny Loggins and out comes the champion with an amused expression on his face.

Harris: Seriously, you think you can beat me and win the NAWA World Title. Should I even bother with you? I think I should send for Twizted Youth in the back so he can kick your ass like he did during the last couple of Pay Per Views. But if you want a piece of me, you are going to get a little more than you bargained for because it seems like everyone wants to make a name for themselves at my expense. Jerry Lynn, Jeff Jarrett, Christopher Daniels, Miles Stylish, the list goes on and on. Better wrestlers have failed but this time I am making an example of why guys who have a habit of losing to Twizted Youth on Pay Per View shouldn't challenge me for the NAWA World Title. You won't get a title shot but I need a bit of a work out tonight so you will get a non-title match.

Harris drops the microphone and enters the ring and NAPOLOEN AND JACQUES GRAB HIS ANKLES. Harris kicks them off and Pierre decks Harris with the french flag from behind as the bell rings kicking off this match.

Pierre Marquette(w/Jacques Strap and Lord Napoleon) vs Harry Harris Pierre lifts up Harris and drills him down with the Spinebuster but Harris kips up straight away and pounds away at Pierre. Pair of clothslines and Harris hooks Pierre around the head, Sliced Bread #2. Harris climbs to the top rope and Frog Splash. Harris covers and scores the pin.

"Hells Bells" by AC/DC plays and out comes the Archangels of Anarchy. Christopher Daniels will be wrestling in this match and he is lead to the ring by Destruction, Armageddon, and the gigantic Sacrifice. Daniels takes off his robe and grabs the microphone.

Daniels: At StarClash, I proved why I am the epitome of evil. I can get others to do my bidding if I so choose and I don't need to lift a finger in dispoing of my enemies. This is just the beginning, soon all will learn to fear me and my Angels of Anarchy. Raven was the first and he shall not be the last to fall. Mark my words, soon everyone will be cloaked in an era of darkness and we shall put down everyone that stands in our way. That is the gospel of the Fallen Angel.

"A Call for Blood" by Hatebreed and here comes CM Punk who is not too happy as a result of the events of StarClash. Thanks to the interference of the Hart Foundation, the Next Generation, Teddy Hart remained NAWA Cruiserweight Champion and CM Punk goes to the bottom of the contenders list. Punk enters the ring. The Fallen Angel stares down Punk with a sinister expression on his face. Daniels has his new minions and The Fallen Angel is first man to be entered in the Luck of the Draw Match, so he could very well be going onto Reality Check to face the NAWA World Champion. Another Springboard Moonsault hits the knees and Oklahoma Side Roll takes Daniels down for two. Punk bounces off the ropes and goes for an Asai Moonsault but Sacrifice pops Punk in the face with a forearm. Daniels kicks Punk from behind and sets him up before delivering the Last Rites and scoring the pin to win this match.

Christopher Daniels pinned CM Punk with the Last Rites in 0:15:11. Rating: ****

Daniels lifts up Punk and takes him down with the Last Rites once again. Daniels leaves the ring with the remaing Archangels of Anarchy behind him. Punk could have won this match had it not been for that monster, Sacrifice.

Jeff Jarrett enters the ring and taunts the crowd. Shawn Stasiak and Mike Sanders will get their tag team title return match February 1st at Luck of the Draw and Jeff Jarrett has been entered into the Luck of the Draw Match. Remember, Jarrett won the first Luck of the Draw Match to win the NAWA World Title back in January 2002 so he has the experience and last year, he entered at number one and was the runner up so he is pretty successful in Luck of the Draw Matches.

"The Unforgiven" by Metallica plays and out comes Scott Hall, Norman Smiley, and the NAWA Television Champion Ron Waterman. These three men are also going to be in the Luck of the Draw Match. Norman Smiley still has a bit of a limp where Jeff Jarrett took apart his knee back at StarClash. Waterman kept his Undefeated Streak up beating Miles Stylish last Sunday and Hall beat the Juice so these three men have momentum going into this Six Man Main Event Match. Stasiak is tagged in and he attempts to stop Norman from tagging but Norman kicks him off and tag to Waterman. Waterman batters all three heels and Vince Russo attempts to hit Waterman with the baseball bat but Waterman takes it away from him and breaks it over his knees. Waterman covers and Hall takes out Sanders and Jarrett to prevent them from making the save. Waterman scores the pin, winning this six man tag team match.

Ron Waterman, Scott Hall and Norman Smiley defeated Shawn Stasiak, Mike Sanders and Jeff Jarrett when Waterman pinned Stasiak with the Water Bomb in 0:08:15. Rating: ** 1/2
