NAWA Glory Xtra IX: The Third Anniversary Spectacular-1/3/05

Fireworks, pryos, and the like, signal the first NAWA card of 2005. Not just any card, as this is the third annivesary show of the New Age Wrestling Alliance. We cut to a clip of the first show, which sees Jeff Jarrett winning the Luck of the Draw Match to become the first ever NAWA World Champion, last eliminating Shane Douglas. We have come a long way from that day and throughout this show, we will show several clips, highlighting many major moments throughout the New Age Wrestling Alliance history.

"Hell's Bells" by AC/DC plays and out comes the Fallen Angel, Christopher Daniels, along with Rapture, Armageddon, Destruction, and Desdomia, his minions in the Archangels of Anarchy. The crowd boos as Daniels enters the ring. Daniels talks about his time in the NAWA, before saying that he has some clips to show of his time in the New Age Wrestling Alliance. A video package is shown seeing Christopher Daniels brutalizing the likes of Norman Smiley, Raven, The Sandman, Steve Corino, Sting, Tony Mamaluke, Ron Waterman, and a wide assortment of other past and present NAWA superstars. Daniels has been busy over the past three years and as we head into year number four, Daniels promises more of the same.

Daniels tells Sacrifice was sent to prison for maiming a group of girl scouts with his bare hands, so it goes to reason that Daniels needs another enforcer for the Archangels of Anarchy since Sacrifice will be unable for the foreseeable future. The Fallen Angel has scoured the globe far and wide for a true killer, a dominating force that would help him enforce the gospel that he has stated time and time again. Out comes an imposing figure in a robe, a hood obscuring his face. The figure enters the ring as the crowd is making some noise and the figure pulls his hood down, revealing, Scott Steiner!

Scott Steiner is handed the microphone, a live microphone, by Christopher Daniels. Steiner tells the fans to "shut the fuck up" before talking about his previous stint in the NAWA, back all the way during Season One. Big Poppa Pump reminds us that he is a former NAWA World Champion and one bad mother fucker. Steiner talks about how most of the NAWA superstars have gone soft since he left. He calls Raven an emo pussy. He calls Rapmaster Killings a punk ass wankster whose only use would be to drive him and his freaks to the arena. As for Harry Harris, well if he got into Steiner's way, he'll just fucking kill him.

As for the reason he joined the Archangels of Anarchy, Steiner admits his main motivation was money. After all, he needs the green to support his legions and legions of freaks. So as long as the checks keep clearing, Scott Steiner has no problems with the Fallen Angel.

Daniels grabs the microphone, talking about the NAWA World Championship and vows to win the championship, no matter the cost by the end of 2005. Daniels shifts his attention to the current NAWA World Champion, Harry Harris. Harris was offered a spot in the Archangels of Anarchy, but according to Daniels, he foolishly denied the offer. That act of disrespect can't be forgotten and Daniels will make Harry Harris pay in time. The NAWA World Championship comes to the Archangels of Anarchy and Harry Harris's blood will be spilled all over the arena. That is the Gospel of The Fallen Angel.

The Archangels of Anarchy leave the ring, as the announcers talk about Daniels not being the only one who has designs on the NAWA World Title. Commissioner New Jack will make an announcement tonight about who will receive the next Pay Per View Title Shot, January 23rd 2005 at Luck of the Draw.

MOMENTS IN NAWA HISTORY: 10/17/02 NAWA Glory, Ron Waterman makes his first apperance in the New Age Wrestling Alliance. Disco Inferno is forced into a match with Jeff Jarrett by Commissioner Steamboat, but Disco has a trick up his sleeve. A bad ass that we later found out was Ron Waterman. Waterman destroys Jeff Jarrett, leaving him laying. Jeff Jarrett is the first, but certainly not the last, to fall victim to the absolutely might of Ron Waterman in the New Age Wrestling Alliance.

Belly to back suplex drills Rapture for a two count. Norman climbs to the second rope and leaps off but Rapture catches him with a leg lariat. Running legdrop scores a two count. Choking by Rapture punishes Norman further before Rapture hoists up Norman and scoops him up. Vicious powerslam brings Norman down and Rapture covers for a close two count.

Leaping kneedrop and Rapture applies a headscissors submission but Norman fights out of the hold. Rapture kicks Norman in the ribs and whips him into the ropes. High kick is ducked and Norman goes behind. Waistlock into a German Suplex! Rapture is dumped onto the top of his head and Norman rocks Rapture with a pair of forearm smashes before scooping him up and spinning around. Rotating bodyslam and Norman covers for a two count. Norman does the big wiggle to cheers from the crowd and running kneelift delivered to Rapture. Double underhook suplex and Norman lifts up Rapture, before whipping him into the corners. Norman charges shoulder first into the corner but Desdomia reaches into the ring, pulling her charge out of the way. NORMAN CRASHES SHOULDER FIRST INTO THE RINGPOST! The crowd boos as Norman favors the shoulder. Kick and single arm DDT delivered by Rapture, before he floats into an armbar submission. Rapture cranks on the armbar, having Norman in the center of the ring. Norman looks around but he has nowhere to go, so he reluctantly taps out, giving Rapture the bout!

Rapture made Norman Smiley submit to an armbar submission in 0:06:14. Rating: ***

Rapture has the hold on for a few more seconds but on the threats of a reverse decision, Desdomia convinces Rapture to release the hold. Norman rolls away clutching his arm as Rapture has his hand raised in victory, first time out on Glory as a member of the Archangels of Anarchy.

MOMENTS IN NAWA HISTORY: Set the wayback machine to Reality Check 2003, where Raven challenged Sting for the NAWA World Championship. Sting had Raven on the ropes, looking ready to win, but the cunning challenger managed to trick Sting into thinking he was more worn down then he thought. Alex Shelley and Mr. Fernando vs El Dandy and Twizted Youth Highlights: Clips are shown from the epic Blindfold Scaffold Match at StarClash. Fernando and Shelley double team Twizted Youth until Dandy makes the save, cleaning house. Shelley is bounced back and forth like a pin pong ball between the attacks of Dandy and Youth, doing a wacky selling job all the way. Twizted Youth manages to almost hit a leg lariat before punishing Shelley with the Garvin Stomp. The heels get the heat when Mr. Fernando throws a blanket over the face of Twizted Youth, blinding him and allowing for a stiff lariat from Shelley, which causes Youth to nearly land on his head, breaking his neck. Some double teaming action in the corner, mostly with Fernando holding Youth so Shelley can pummel him with chops and kicks. The positions are switched and Fernando puts salsa in his mouth and attempts to spit it in Youth's eyes, but Youth moves and SHELLEY GETS SALSA SPAT IN HIS EYES. Shelley sells it like his retinas were burnt out and this allows Twizted Youth to make the tag to El Dandy. Dandy cleans house, knocking Shelley off the apron before punishing Fernando with a dropkick to the groin, a headbutt to the groin, a knee to the groin, a drop toe hold, and a Dadina Cradle, to score the pin.

Twizted Youth and El Dandy defeated Alex Shelley and Mr. Fernando when Dandy pinned Fernando with the Dandina Cradle in 0:07:47. Rating: -1/2*

Dandy and Twizted Youth score their win as Alex Shelley is yelling at Mr. Fernando. Shelley's career hasn't taken the turn around that he suspected when he joined Richard Ramos Ricardo, Attorney at Law. Ricardo suffered that horrific injury at the hands of Raven and now Shelley has lost his last two matches. Hopefully for the sake of his career, Shelley can find some way to turn it all around.

The Dark Warrior is in a darkened room backstage. Warrior talks about the spirit of Destrucity still lives deep within him and tonight, he is going to regain the NAWA World Championship. Harris is a nothing, a mortal, a disgrace to the NAWA World Title. Warrior spilled the blood of Harry Harris at the end of StarClash and now Warrior will take back his title. Tonight, Harris will step into the steel cage with the Lord of Destrucity and Warrior promises that he will rule the world as the NAWA World Champion for a second time.

Hype is made for tonight's NAWA World Championship Return Match. Harry Harris defends his newly won title against former champion the Dark Warrior inside a steel cage. The only way this match can be won is by pinfall or submission. Stay tuned.

"Natural Born Killerz" by Dr. Dre/Icecube plays and the crowd cheers as out comes the NAWA Commissioner New Jack. New Jack makes his way down to the ring, before calling for a microphone. New Jack first puts over the steel cage return match from StarClash between the Dark Warrior and Harry Harris for the NAWA World Title. However, Luck of the Draw is only a few weeks away. New Jack reminds us that a twenty man battle royal will take place, with a new NAWA megastar entering every ninety seconds. The last man standing receives an NAWA World Title Shot at Reality Check but New Jack says that the NAWA World Title will also be on the line on the night of Luck of the Draw. New Jack announces the challenger is...

"CAW, CAW, CAW!"

Out comes Raven from the back, with a microphone in his hand. Raven talks about how he should receive the NAWA World Title Match and he has a little video clip cued up as proof of his number one contendership status. We cut to one year ago on NAWA Glory, where Raven hit Harry Harris with the Evenflow DDT to win the NAWA World Championship! We cut back, with Raven saying it's undisputed proof that he deserves the title shot at Luck of the Draw, he did pin the current champion one year ago on Glory, after all!

Before New Jack can respond, "Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays and out comes the NAWA International Champion Miles Stylish who doesn't look too pleased. Stylish snatches the microphone away from Raven, talking about how Raven might have cheapshotted Stylish and dropped him on his head, but there is no doubt in Stylish's mind that he should be the number one contender for the NAWA World Title. He beat Raven at StarClash one-two-three in the center of the ring for the entire world to see. Stylish points out that he beat Harry Harris more times then everyone in the crowd has gotten laid outside of members of their immediate family, which Stylish adds, "isn't much to say, considering the amount of rednecks in the crowd tonight." This draws heel heat, and a chant of "Stylish sucks". Stylish decides to point out that the NAWA rulebook clearly states that since he is the NAWA International Champion, and thus is the logical number one contender for the NAWA World Champion.

"O Fortuna" by Carl Oft plays and the crowd boos as the Fallen Angel, Christopher Daniels makes his way out. Daniels calls the claims of both Stylish and Raven amusing, but Daniels reminds us that he has beaten both of them in the past and he did pin Harry Harris in the center of the ring a few weeks ago on Glory. Daniels says it is in the best interest of the New Age Wrestling Alliance if New Jack awards him the title shot against Harry Harris at Luck of the Draw.

New Jack has the microphone and yells them to quit there bitchin' and listen up. The Commissioner says all three have cases when considering a title shot, but New Jack says he was going to announce the number one contender to be the man who was screwed out of the NAWA World Title recently and a man that neither of the three men in the ring have ever beaten, Ron Waterman! This gets protest from the other three men in the ring. New Jack adds in that he is a fair man and is willing to give the other three men a chance to prove him wrong. Therefore, New Jack is scheduling a fatal four way match, one fall to a finish, for tonight's main event featuring Christopher Daniels, Miles Stylish, Raven, and Ron Waterman. The winner of this match will challenge for the NAWA World Title at Luck of the Draw 2005! New Jack leaves the ring as we fade to a

Marion adds that next week, a return match from StarClash will take place between Rapmaster Killings and Jerry Lynn for the NAWA Television Title, so it is possible that when Skyhawk gets his title shot, it could be against Jerry Lynn. Skyhawk doesn't look as confident about that possibility, but Candace says that Skyhawk doesn't sweat Lynn or the rest of the Triumvirate for that matter, before ordering this interview to be over as Skyhawk looks mortified at the possibility of having to get into the ring with the wrestling machine known as Jerry Lynn.

CM Punk is back on the right track after losing the NAWA Cruiserweight Title to AJ Styles in that Last Man Standing Match back at StarClash 04.

One Final Moment of NAWA History: StarClash 04, the Dark Warrior put his NAWA World Championship on the line against the returning Harry Harris. Harris had started 2004 with a near crippling knee injury, having lost the belt early in the year and many thought that he might not wrestle. He came back and fought back to the top, leading to his one on one battle with the man who became the NAWA World Champion during his time off, the Dark Warrior. When Warrior locked Harris in a sleeperhold, Harris countered by running up the buckles and bridging backwards, to score the pin and become the two time NAWA World Champion. And Harris will defend his belt against the winner of tonight's fatal four way match at Luck of the Draw. That match is coming up next!
