NAWA Glory 1/26/06
Recap from this past Sunday at Luck of the Draw. Christian Cage makes his debut, wiping out Teddy Hart and costing him the NAWA International Title against Miles Stylish, who also retained his NAWA World Title. Double chairshot to Hart is shown. Raven beating Jerry Lynn in the Last Man Standing Match with an Evenflow DDT off of the top rope through two tables. Then the Luck of the Draw, all the highlights, and the return of Harry Harris. Harris eliminates Raven and is the number one contender for the NAWA World Title, facing off against the champion, who at this time is Miles Stylish, March 19th at Reality Check!
"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ top plays and out comes the NAWA International and World Champion Miles Stylish, with both belts, draped over either shoulder, as he enters the ring. He holds up the NAWA World Title Belt, while putting the NAWA International Title Belt at his feet and gets the microphone. Stylish gets on the microphone, talking about his triumphant victory on Sunday and also briefly speaks about his match with Harry Harris in Reality Check. Stylish reminds us that he defeated Harris in every previous meeting and he vows Reality Check will be no different. Stylish then switches gears, calling out Christian Cage. "Close Your Eyes" by Waterproof Blonde plays and out comes Christian to boos. Christian slides into the ring, before he grabs the microphone.
Christian begins cutting a promo, saying he's glad to finally be in a promotion that will give him some competition and allow a star of his magnitude to shine. Christian talks about how the wrestling world is talking about how Teddy Hart is the greatest Canadian professional wrestler in the world today which is a lie as there is only one man who could be given that moniker and that's Christian Cage. Christian opens up his jacket, to reveal a Miles Stylish "Excellence Personified" T-Shirt, saying that he is proud to stand by a champion who doesn't need to sleep his way to the top, who got their on skills. Stylish grabs the microphone, saying that Christian did well and says he's going to hand him the NAWA International Title as payment, with a future promise of an NAWA World Title Shot down the road "once all the other challengers have been dealt with".
Out comes Larry Sweeney, who says that Stylish might be forfeiting the belt, but he can't choose who it gets to. In fact, Sweeney thought something like this might happen and so he announces a twelve man NAWA International Tournament, beginnning tonight and ending at Blinded by Fury. Sweeney announces that Christian Cage will be a part of the tournament, against the man who he attacked last night at Luck of the Draw, Teddy Hart! The crowd cheers for that one as Sweeney adds that he has given the top four NAWA International Title contenders byes into the second round. Those men are of course, Tony Mamaluke, Ron Killings, Takeshi Morishima, and Abyss. The crowd boos, as Sweeney is accused of stacking the deck in favor his clients. In addition to Hart and Christian, Sweeney adds Rhino against Samoa Joe, The Gambler against Sederick Skyhawk, and AJ Styles against Raven as part of the tournament tonight, where the winners of those four matches advancing to the second round next week. Sweeney takes the belt, saying he will keep that in his office for safe keeping, until the finals at Blinded by Fury. The announcers talk about the first four NAWA International Title Tournament matches tonight, excited with the possibilities.

Sederick Skyhawk and his entourage is out, cutting a promo about how he is a star of the highest magnitude and how he deserves gold. Skyhawk reminds us that the Gambler beat him at Night of the Rogues for the NAWA Television Title and now Skyhawk wants to avenge that loss. He says he has to win the NAWA International Title, to gain a higher profile in the company and more championship glory. He will be a success, he will be a star, he will have the gold. Skyhawk rambles a bit more but "Viva Las Vegas" cuts him off and out comes the Gambler to a monsterous pop. The announcers speculate that the Gambler has to be perhaps the fan favorite as far as the competitors of the tournament goes as the bell rings kicking off this match.
NAWA International Title Tournament First Round Match Sederick Skyhawk(w/Candace Sweet, Richard Ramos Ricardo, Attorney At Law, and Mr. Fernando) vs. the Gambler
The Gambler knocks around Skyhawk, sending him reiling with two back body drops, an inverted atomic drop, and a leaping knee to the head. The Gambler drops some elbows down across the chest of Skyhawk, before pulling him to his feet. Punches and suplex by the Gambler for a two count. Flying axehandle gets another two count and the Gambler punches away on Skyhawk in the corner, before dropping down and clotheslining him. Ricardo gets involved and the Gambler decks him but Skyhawk delivers a kneelift to the back of the head followed by a reverse neckbreaker. Two count and Skyhawk beats down the Gambler, setting him up in a backbreaker, drilling him down to the canvas for a two count. Some work with a chinlock and some forearm smashes, as Skyhawk continues to pour on the punishment with a pair of elbowdrops Skyhawk beats on the Gambler, delivering a kneedrop and setting up for a moonsault but the Gambler rolls out of the way. Skyhawk splatters himself on the canvas and the Gambler pounds away at him in the center of the ring with a series of punches, before throwing Skyhawk into the corner. Belly to back suplex and Fernando enters the ring but gets nailed with a DDT. Skyhawk goes for the Brush with Greatness but the Gambler hangs onto the top rope, causing Skyhawk to hit the back of his head on the canvas. To the top rope and Roulette Spin scores the pin. The Gambler advances to Round Two, to meet Ron Killings next week!

Footage from three weeks ago where Bryan Danielson welcomed Colt Cabana to the New Age Wrestling Alliance by knocking him out. Tonight, the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion will fight Colt Cabana in a non title match, as Cabana attempts to gain some revenge from that rough welcome.
Colt Cabana vs. Bryan Danielson Cabana chops away at Danielson and delivers a pair of armdrags, before he backs off and takes Danielson down with a running dropkick. Cabana pulls Danielson up and a series of elbows driven down across the back of the head, before Cabana hits a leg lariat for a two count. Cabana backs off but Danielson catches him with a kneelift. Double underhook and knees to the face set up a double underhook suplex. Danielson begins to work over the arm of Cabana, battering it, including delivering a single arm DDT and a fireman's carry into a cross armbreaker but somehow Cabana gets to the ropes. Shoulderbreaker attempt but Cabana wiggles out and German Suplex into a bridge. Only a two count as Cabana could not keep the bridge with the arm. Danielson pounds the arm and elbowsmashes to the back of the head, before Cabana is thrown into the corner. Danielson charges in but Cabana boots Danielson in the face hard. Cabana climbs to the second rope and leaps onto the shoulders with a Victory Roll. DANIELSON HAS JUST BEEN ROLLED TO THE CANVAS AND PINNED!

Cabana scores the win tonight as Danielson is in shock. Danielson pulls himself to his feet and charges Cabana. CABANA SENDS DANIELSON OVER THE TOP ROPE AND ALL THE WAY TO THE ARENA FLOOR WITH A HIGH BACK BODY DROP! The crowd explodes into cheers as Cabana looks pleased in the ring, celebrating his impressive non title victory over the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion. No doubt a future title shot might be coming as a result of this win.

First Round Match in the NAWA International Title Tournament Rhino vs. Samoa Joe
Joe and Rhino exchange punches at the bell. Both men are really tearing at each other, with Rhino delivering a slingshot shoulderblock, knocking Joe down to the canvas. Joe bounces up and chops his way into Rhino. Rhino goes for a kick but Joe delivers a dragon screw legwhip right into an STF. Joe is putting the pressure on Rhino, twisting on the hold but Rhino gets to the ropes. Joe beats on Rhino some more but Rhino delivers a jawbreaker. Joe has been knocked back and Rhino punches away at Joe, before throwing him off into the ropes. Huge spinebuster brings Joe down to the canvas and to the corner. Pump splash from Rhino and Joe kicks out at a two count. Rhino pounds Joe, applying a camel clutch, really putting the pressure on but Joe powers out of the hold. Rhino shoves Joe off and short arm clothesline, sets up a huge kneedrop for a two count.
Rhino is up and crouched in the corner. Joe is up and Rhino rushes him for the Gore. JOE KNEES RHINO IN THE HEAD BLOCKING THE MOVE! Rhino has been staggered back and Joe pounds away at Rhino, sending him back into the corner. Joe throws Rhino into the ropes but the head is ducked. Rhino sunset flips Joe for a two and a half count. Clothesline by Joe sends Rhino three hundred and sixty degrees onto his back. Joe picks up Rhino and hoists him for a power bomb but Rhino punches out, dropping to his feet. A second attempt of the Gore is side stepped and Rhino hits the corner. Running knee to the back of the head by Joe and Joe stomps Rhino in the corner. Boot scrape and Running Yakuza Kick punishes Rhino. Joe picks up Rhino, setting him up for the Muscle Buster but RHINO KNEES HIM IN THE HEAD SEVERAL TIMES! Joe is staggered and both men take a nasty spill to the arena floor. Both men crash hard as the referee puts the count on. Rhino and Joe pull themselves up and brawl on the floor, not paying attention to the ten count and the referee reaches ten for the double countout!

Both men continue brawl with each other on the floor, as security and other wrestlers pour out but both men continue to beat on each other. Lost in this chaotic brawl is Tony Mamaluke has received another bye based on the results of this match, in addition to the bye he receives next week.

Non Title Match Too Hot for Television(w/Victor Domiquez) vs. Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley
Sabin and Bentley are banged up because of their vicious title defense against Abyss and Takeshi Morishima on Sunday. Percival Stephens starts and gets knocked around by the champions, ping ponged. Sabin and Bentley deliver a double hiptoss, before they turn and deliver a double elbowdrop. Double kip up into a double dropkick to Walker as he enters the ring. Bentley pounds on Stephens, before he delivers a short arm clothesline, before beating him and climbing to the top rope but Walker shoves him off the top rope. Bentley crashes hard and Stephens delivers a spinning leg lariat, before beating him delivering a series of stomps. Tag made to Walker and double suplex from Too Hot for Television brings Bentley down. Walker climbs to the outside and connects with a missile dropkick on Bentley for a two count. Walker delivers some elbows to the back of the head and onto the shoulders. Tag made to Stephens and FRANKENSTEINER BY STEPHENS, SENDING BENTLEY OFF OF THE SHOULDERS OF WALKER! That was an impressive move but it only scores a two count as Sabin makes the tag.
Sabin is pushed back into the corner, as Too Hot for Television beats down Bentley in the corner. Stephens climbs to the second rope and delivers a somersault neckbreaker for a two count. Stomps across the chest and Stephens delivers a swinging neckbreaker, before climbing to the outside. Springboard Moonsault misses as Bentley rolls out of the way. Tag made to Walker and tag made to Sabin, who is in fists of fire, before he delivers a pair of leg lariats. Sabin delivers a kneelift, before he delivers a gutbuster, before going to the outside. Springboard Oklahoma Side brings Walker down for a two count. Stephens steps into the ring but Bentley dropkicks Stephens to the floor, before diving him on. Sabin beats on Walker, before putting him on the top rope. Attempted superplex as the referee is distracted by the brawl going down from ringside but Domiquez whacks Sabin from behind with the walking stick, causing him to hit the canvas hard. Walker readjusts his footing and Flying Elbowdrop, bringing all of his weight down across the chest for the upset pin! Too Hot for Television has won this non title match.

Footage of the Rottweilers beating Team 3D via disqualification three weeks ago and then the moments of battle involving the Rottweilers and Team 3D at Luck of the Draw, leading to their match tonight.
Team 3D vs. The Rottweilers(w/Julius Smokes) Team 3D batter Homicide in the round, knocking him backwards into the ropes. Nice double flapjack brings Homicide down to the canvas and Brother Devon pounds away at Homicide, before throwing him into the corner. Clothesline to the back of the head sets up a reverse neckbreaker for a two count. Devon beats on Homicide, but Low-Ki catches Devon with a kick to the back of the head. This allows Homicide to lariat Devon down for a two count. Homicide beats down Devon and makes the tag to Low-Ki, holding Devon and allowing Low-Ki to kick away at the ribs of Devon. Devon is beaten down, double teaming back and forth, with a couple of quick tags. Homicide delivers a vicious brain buster to Devon before he makes the tag to Low-Ki who delivers a springboard double foot stomp for a nearfall!
Low-Ki continues to kick away at Devon in the corner and goes for a koppo kick but Devon slides out of the way. Low-Ki hits the corner hard and tag made to Homicide. Homicide makes the tag but tag made to Brother Ray. Ray enters the ring, a house of fire, knocking around both Rottweilers with jabs and a few elbowsmashes, before he delivers an avalanche to Low-Ki and Devon delivers a flapjack, taking Low-Ki down. Homicide is slammed and Devon climbs up delivering the diving headbutt to the groin of Homicide. Homicide is stunned as Devon delivers a flying clothesline knocking Low Ki to the floor. Smokes is on the ring apron but Brother Ray decks him. Homicide has the blackjack and Devon goes to the floor to deliver a few punches to Homicide. BROTHER RAY IS DECKED RIGHT IN THE FACE WITH THE BLACKJACK! Brother Ray drops to the canvas and the referee calls for the disqualification!
Team 3D (Brother Devon and Brother Ray) defeated Low-Ki and Homicide when Brother Ray defeated Homicide by disqualification in 0:09:13. Rating: ** 1/4
Homicide decks Devon with the blackjack as he tries to make the save but we have Austin Aries and Alex Shelley on the outside with chairs. LOW-KI IS KNOCKED OUT WITH A CHAIRSHOT FROM ARIES! Shelley enters the ring and Homicide turns but Aries enters the ring and chairs Homicide from behind. Aries and Shelley stand in the ring, standing over all four men being taken out. The tag team competition in the New Age Wrestling Alliance is really heating up!

We understand that next week on Glory, Harry Harris will make his first public appearence since winning the Luck of the Draw Match last Sunday Night, in addition to the Quarterfinals of the NAWA International Title Tournament. No doubt Harry Harris will have plenty to say about his upcoming challenge for the NAWA World Title at Reality Check.
AJ Styles is in the ring awaiting Raven coming out but "Come Out and Play" by the Offspring plays two times through but there is no Raven. Styles stands in the center of the ring looking down the ramp and the referee looks confused. Raven did take a beating last Sunday, having competed seventy five minutes but he was seen in the building earlier tonight. He didn't seem too happy about the results of the Luck of the Draw. Another minute and still no Raven. The referee converses with the ring announcer, who announces that Raven has forfeited his spot in the NAWA International Title Tournament by virtue of his failure to show tonight. AJ Styles will face off against Takeshi Morishima in the Quarterfinals next week.
Backstage:
Dan Marion interviews Teddy Hart about the rumors that he suffered a concussion at the hands or rather chairs, of Christian Cage and Miles Stylish last night. Hart confirms that, saying he's going against doctor's orders by competing tonight, mentioning that his uncle, the legendary Bret "The Hitman" Hart's career was ended by multiple severe concussions but Hart knows the risks and he wants to get revenge. He will win the Tournament and recapture the NAWA International Title. He congratulates Harry Harris on his Luck of the Draw victory and just then, Raven walks up. Hart confronts Raven, asking him what was up about Raven being slow to save on Sunday, that he might not have gotten injured. Raven refuses to respond for a bit until he answers "all the pieces of the puzzle will be revealed tonight, although some might not like how they fit together". Without another word, Raven walks off, ignoring Marion's questions about why Raven refused to compete against AJ Styles and his state of mind after his seventy five mintutes of hell back at Luck of the Draw.

NAWA International Title Tournament Match Teddy Hart vs. Christian Cage(w/Miles Stylish)
Both Hart and Cage trade holds on the mat at the bell, with Hart getting the better of the earlier exchanges with a hiptoss and a spinning leg lariat, sending Christian to the floor. Pescado knocks Christian down on the floor. Hart beats down Christian on the floor, rolling him into the ring. Stylish grabs the ankle allowing Christian to kneelift him right in the the face. Forearms to the chest and Christian brings him into the center of the ring for a snap mare. A pair of elbowdrops and Christian picks up Hart. Headbutt to the back of the head and Christian sends Hart into the corner. Clothesline in the corner and Christian grabs Hart around the head. Vicious DDT brings Hart down right onto his concussed head. Hart rolls around, clutching his head as Christian covers for a two count.
Christian beats on Hart on the mat with some elbowsmashes to the top of the head and rams Hart right into the corner hard. Hart is slumped in the corner and Christian beats him with forearm smashes, before hoisting him up to the top rope. Christian goes for a superplex but Hart blocks it and knocks Christian off the top rope. Springboard cross body block is countered with a dropkick. Hart is down and Christian continues the punishment with a kneedrop to the top of the head. Christian chokes away at Hart and pounds away at him with punches to the top of the head. The crowd is really getting on Christian's cage and Christian picks up Hart, before whipping him into the corner. Belly to back suplex and Hart has been driven down. Christian pulls Hart down and elbow driven to the back of the head. REVERSE DDT BRINGS HART DOWN! Chrisitan covers but Hart kicks otu at the count of two!
The crowd is booing as Christian continues to pound on Hart. Short arm elbowsmash brings Hart down to the canvas. Christian delivers a legdrop to Hart and pulls him up. Gutwrench suplex brings Hart down and Christian floats over for a two count. Christian pounds away at Hart and scoops him up, before drilling him down with a backbreaker. Hart is driven down and Christian delivers a pair of dropkicks to the back of the head, before climbing to the outside. Springboard elbowdrop down across the chest of Hart. Christian covers but only a two count! Hart is still in this one and Hart is pummeled with stomps and forearm smashes, before Christian picks up Hart and rams him into the corner. Chops in the corner and Christian throws Hart into the ropes. Powerslam brings Hart down to the canvas and Christian covers for a nearfall! Two and nine tenths and Christian climbs to the outside, going to the top rope. Springboard dropkick no Hart catches Christian! Christian slams down to the canvas hard and Hart steps through, before turning Christian over for the Sharpshooter!
The crowd is cheering as Hart has the Sharpshooter applied to Christian but Stylish quickly gets involved, pulling Christian to the ropes. Hart breaks the Sharpshooter and dives onto Stylish with a tope con hilo. Hart enters the ring and gets kicked in the face. Attempted Unprettier but Hart shoves Christian off and Russian Legsweep brings him down. Somersault elbowdrop off the second rope and Christian is covered for a two count. Hart picks up Christian and beats him, before throwing him into the corner. Tilt a whirl backbreaker and Hart steps through, attempting the Sharpshooter once again but Christian rakes the eyes. Hart is stunned and Christian kicks him in the midsection, before delivering a reverse double underhook. Another attempted Unprettier but Hart counters with an electric chair drop! Hart climbs to the outside, going to the top rope but Stylish is on the apron. Hart turns his attention to Stylish, forearming him off the apron, causing him to flip onto the floor. Christian climbs up grabbing Hart around the head. TOP ROPE DDT BRINGS HART DOWN ONTO HIS HEAD OFF THE TOP ROPE! Even without a concussion that is a vicious move and Christian covers hooking the leg to score the academic pin, to face off against Abyss next week in the NAWA International Title Tournament Quarterfinals.
[NAWA International Title Tournament Round One]: Christian Cage pinned Teddy Hart after a top-rope DDT in 0:17:02. Rating: *** 3/4
Christian Cage and Miles Stylish stand in the ring, ready to finish off Teddy Hart but out comes Raven. Raven slides into the ring with a singapore cane in hand and that convinces Christian and Stylish to fight another day. Raven drops the singapore cane and helps a groggy Teddy Hart to his feet. BEFORE DROPPING HIM DOWN TO THE CANVAS WITH THE EVENFLOW DDT! The crowd explodes into boos as Raven has just assaulted Teddy Hart. Raven picks up the singapore cane and A SERIES OF VICIOUS CANE SHOTS RIGHT TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD OF TEDDY HART! The smack of wood against flesh echoes throughout the arena as Raven smacks the singapore cane over and over again. Raven pulls Hart up again and ANOTHER EVENFLOW DDT! Hart has been drilled and Raven pulls him up again. A THIRD EVENFLOW DDT! Raven rolls to the outside and pulls back the padded mats.
Raven cuts a promo, rambling about destiny and sins, saying that he should have won Luck of the Draw, he should have had the opportunity to win the title at Reality Check. He beat eighteen other men and Harry Harris had to come out and ruin everything. Everyone is talking about how Harry Harris has returned, but Raven wrestled for seventy five minutes at Luck of the Draw. "What about me, What about Raven?" Raven drags Teddy Hart out to the floor. Hart is out, severely injured, yet Raven is not done with him. Raven issues a challenge for Harry Harris, February 12th at Blinded by Fury, saying he's going to make Harris pay for upstaging him. He concludes with this: "If this is what I'm going to do to an ally, what do you think I'm going to do to you?" EVENFLOW DDT RIGHT ON THE EXPOSED CONCRETE FLOOR, SPIKING TEDDY HART HEADFIRST! Blood splatters off the floor as Teddy Hart isn't showing any signs of life.
Raven stands over Hart, in the crucifix position. Harry Harris will be here next week, will he accept the challenge Raven has thrown out for Blinded by Fury? Our last image as we fade to black is the lifeless body of Teddy Hart laid out in a pool of his own blood and Raven standing over him, arms in the crucifix position in a sick token of victory.
