NAWA Glory 2/16/05
We are four days removed from Blinded by Fury. Raven defeated Harry Harris in the main event and not only did he defeat the number one contender, but he laid out the NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish with the Evenflow DDT. Also Christian Cage used some cheap tactics, but he won the NAWA International Championship beating the Gambler. Also Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley, Samoa Joe, and Bryan Danielson keep their long term title reigns rolling past another Pay Per View and Team 3D captured the number one contendership for the NAWA World Tag Team Title defeating three other top of the line tag teams.
Tonight: Perhaps the single biggest main event in the history of NAWA Glory, as the NAWA World Tag Team Champions Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley take on the NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish and the NAWA International Champion Christian Cage with all four belts on the line, winner take all match! Some gold will change hands! Also, the Gambler in action, The NAWA Television Champion Samoa Joe is in the house, and the debut of a new tag team, in Jay and Mark, the Briscoe Brothers! We kick things off tonight with a bang with eight man tag team action.
AJ Styles, Bryan Danielson, and The Rottweilers(w/Julius Smokes) vs. Abyss, Takeshi Morishima, Ron Killings, and Tony Mamaluke(w/Larry Sweeney)
The crowd is hot for this one, Larry Sweeney has thrown out an open challenge to any four athletes to take on his clients and these four men have risen to the challenge of the NAWA Commissioner. AJ Styles starts out with Ron Killings a bit of heat between these two men. Both men lock up and Styles goes behind with a hammerlock, wrenching on the arm of Killings. Another hammerlock wrench and Styles attempts to force Killings but Killings goes behind and shoves Styles off but Styles comes back with a leapfrog and a dropkick. Killings goes down to the canvas and Styles hammers him with some chops, before he delivers a hiptoss and leaps to the outside, climbing to the top rope. Nice forearm smash off the top rope and Styles pounds on Killings before making the tag to Low-Ki. Low-Ki enters the ring and kicks away at Killings, before throwing him into the ropes with a leg lariat.
Low-Ki delivers some Tomahawk choks to the neck of Killings and scoops him up, before delivering a backbreaker and a kneedrop. Tag to Homicide and Low-Ki holds Killings for some punches. Homicide beats on Killings, hitting a vicious kick followed by a brain buster for a two count before Morishima breaks up the pin. Homicide goes after the big man and gets attacked from behind from Killings. Killings stomps away at the back of the head of Homicide, before picking him up and ramming him into the foot of Morishima. Morishima enters the ring, pounding Homicide with forearm smashes across the chest. Homicide is slumped in the corner and Morishima hammers his chest with chops, before throwing him into the corner. Running back avalanche to the chest doubles Homicide over and Morishima delivers a high kick to the chest for a two count before making the tag to Abyss.
Irish whip into the clutches of Abyss who punishes Homicide with a spinebuster for a two count. Stomps and some elbowdrops before Abyss chokes him. Abyss beats on Homicide and delivers a torture rack into a seated backbreaker. The back of Homicide has been punished and Abyss picks up Homicide, before slamming him into the corner. Pair of clotheslines in the corner and Homicide is slumped in the corner, as Morishima rushes in and clotheslines him in the corner. Abyss delivers a Gorilla Press into a running powerslam but tags in Killings. Killings stomps away at Homicide and picks him up, delivering a backbreaker. Killings drops some knees and somersault legdrop punishes Homicide. Cover hooking the leg for a two count. Killings picks up Homicide and a kneelift but he hoists up Homicide. Homicide drops behind and PLOWS KILLINGS WITH A LARIAT! Race to the corner. Tag to Tony Mamaluke and tag on the other end to the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion Bryan Danielson.
Danielson blocks a chop from Mamaluke and hammers away at him with a series of elbowsmashes before throwing him into the ropes. A huge kneelift brings Mamaluke down to the canvas. Mamaluke bounces back up and Danielson delivers a kneelift, before delivering a double underhook suplex. Abyss enters the ring and Danielson elbows him in the side of the head, before Low-Ki kicks Abyss in the face several times, rocking him. Abyss is staggered to the arena floor where AJ Styles enters the ring and somersault plancha wipes Abyss out. Low-Ki and Homicide meet Morishima, beating him down, before they dump him to the floor. Danielson delivers a belly to back suplex and applies a seated abdominal stretch but Larry Sweeney is on the apron. Danielson goes after Sweeney but the NAWA Commissioner drops down. Danielson turns around and Mamaluke goes right to the eyes of Danielson. Danielson is kicked right in the midsection and Mamaluke crosses the arms before he hoists Danielson up right into the Pyramid of Sicily! The crowd explodes into boos as Mamaluke makes the cover and scores the pin over the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion as Abyss pounds on Styles on the floor.
Ron Killings, Tony Mamaluke, Abyss and Takeshi Morishima defeated AJ Styles, Bryan Danielson, Homicide and Low-Ki when Mamaluke pinned Danielson with the Pyramid of Sicily in 0:16:16. Rating: *** 1/4

NAWA Television Title Match Simon Diamond(w/C.W. Anderson, Mr. Fernando, and Richard Ramos Ricardo, Attorney At Law) vs. Samoa Joe(c)
Diamond attacks Joe at the bell but Joe delivers some punches to Diamond, before beating him down in the corner, delivering a dragon screw into a Half Boston Crab but Diamond gets to the ropes for leverage. Diamond rolls to the floor and Joe beats him down but as Diamond is entered the ring, C.W. Anderson wipes out Joe with the briefcase from behind, knocking him for a loop. Joe is slumped over the ring apron and C.W. Anderson beats him down by the ring apron, before rolling him into the ring. Joe is down and Diamond pounds away at Joe, before beating him with chops and setting up an inverted DDT. Diamond covers Joe hooking the leg for a two count. Joe is pounded but Diamond charges with a kneelift. The NAWA Television Champion moves and Diamond hits the corner. Joe is stomping Diamond in the corner, beating him severely before delivering a running boot scrape and RUNNING YAKUZA KICK CRACKING DIAMOND IN THE FACE! Joe picks up Diamond before he is picked up and Muscle Buster brings Diamond down, folding him up on the back of his neck. Diamond is slapped in the Kokina Clutch and the referee checks on him. Diamond is out and the bell rings, allowing Joe to score the win via knockout.
Samoa Joe defeated Simon Diamond when Simon Diamond passed out in the Kokina Clutch in 0:04:34. Rating: *** (Samoa Joe retained the NAWA Television Title.)
Samoa Joe gets his hand raised in the air but Mr. Fernando enters the ring and Joe attacks him. C.W. Anderson enters the ring and Joe fights him off, before Sederick Skyhawk slides underneath the bottom rope, entering the ring and attacking Joe from behind, beating him in the center of the ring. Joe was down on his knees and Skyhawk beats him some more, before Ricardo slips Skyhawk the NAWA Television Title belt. SKYHAWK SMASHES THE BELT INTO THE HEAD OF JOE! Joe hits the canvas hard and Skyhawk stands over Joe in the center of the ring, holding up the belt as Joe has been laid out. Skyhawk is talking trash, saying the belt should be his, before dropping the belt over his chest and the members of Sederick Skyhawk Productions leave the ring, with Joe laid out in the center of the ring. He won't be pleased when he gets up to his feet.
A promo is shown, showcasing the NAWA World Tag Champion. Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley talk about their match against the NAWA International Champion Christian Cage and the NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish promising to walk out with all of the gold, still to come tonight.

Elix Skipper and Petey Williams vs. The Briscoe Brothers
Elix Skipper attacks Jay Briscoe at the bell but gets dropkicked and knocked around. Skipper is flipped over the buckles and Briscoe delivers a spinebuster bringing him down. Jay Briscoe climbs to the outside and hits a springboard dropkick. Tag made to brother Mark. The Briscoes beat up Elix Skipper and deliver a double Northern Lights release suplex. Tag made to Petey Williams who enters the ring to get taken down with a double hiptoss and double dropkick knocking him to the floor. Mark Briscoe leaps over the top rope onto Petey Williams with a somersault plancha and Petey is then rolled into the ring, with a springboard sunset flip, for a two count. Mark Brscioe beats up Petey Williams but Petey goes low. A couple of quick tags, with Elix Skipper and Petey Williams exchanging double teaming offense, including a backbreaker/springboard legdrop combination move and a vertical suplex/missile dropkick combination move but Mark Briscoe keeps kicking out.
Petey Williams beats on Mark Briscoe and goes for a German Suplex but he lands on his feet and hits a vicious leg lariat bringing him down. Mark Briscoe crawls to the corner but Petey Williams is closer. Tag to Elix Skipper and the hot tag made to Jay Briscoe, who enters the ring, fists of fire, knocking both members of the team around. The crowd is cheering as Jay Briscoe whips Elix Skipper into Petey Williams. Briscoe delivers a German Suplex release folding Elix Skipper over onto the back of his neck and running dropkick to Petey Williams, knocking him to the floor. Mark Briscoe delivers a running somersault plancha wiping out Petey Williams on the floor. Jay Briscoe is stunned with a low blow and Elix Skipper delivers a leg lariat, before bringing Jay Briscoe up, going for the Sudden Death but he slides down. Elix Skipper staggers forward into a springboard clothesline from Mark Briscoe which causes him to fall into the Jay Driller. Cover and the three is made, the Briscoe Brothers win their first match in the New Age Wrestling Alliance.

The Gambler vs. Cayden Walker(w/Percival Stephens and Victor Domiquez) The Gambler punches on Walker, before throwing him into the corner and launching him over the buckle. Clothesline knocks Walker off the ring apron and onto the floor, before the Gambler dives over the top rope onto him with a forearm smash suicida and the Gambler pounds away on Walker, before rolling him into the ring. The Gambler enters the ring and stomps Walker into the corner. Walker is struggling but Stephens is on the apron. The Gambler knocks him off and Walker delivers a kneelift, before hitting a Cradle DDt on the Gambler for a two count. Walker beats on the Gambler some more, pulling out a pair of gutwrench suplexes and a corkscrew moonsault for a two count. Walker beats on the Gambler but the head is ducked. The Gambler delivers a kneelift and a clothesline. Walker fires back with a pair of uppercuts but the Gambler counters with a high back body drop over the top rope to the arena floor. Walker lands hard and his right leg completely crumples out from underneath him. Walker can't get up to his feet and the referee looks at the Gambler, before he turns and calls for the bell, awarding this match to the Gambler.
The Gambler defeated Cayden Walker after the referee stopped the match in 0:06:06. Cayden Walker tore his right PCL. He will be out for approximately 6 months. Rating: ***
Walker is down with a knee injury and the Gambler walks off, as the paramedics tend to walker. Stephens looks down at his partner, cursing the situation. A freak accident, ironically enough, a similiar injury put the Gambler on the shelf and nearly end his career.

This match starts just a bit before the top of the hour to give it plenty of time and we have a few standby matches ready to go if this one ends early. Sabin starts out with Christian and Christian cockily takes charge with some offensive but Sabin kips out of a headlock and pair of armdrags taking the NAWA International Champion down. Christian bounces back up to his feet and Sabin chops away at him, before throwing him into the ropes. Back elbow smash is ducked but not the hiptoss and Sabin delivers a running dropkick, knocking Christian onto his back. Sabin beats on Christian with chops and throws him over the buckles no wait he lands on his feet and Sabin hammers him with forearms to the chest. Sabin delivers a snap suplex bringing Christian over to the canvas. Christian rolls over, favoring his back in pain.
Sabin delivers some kicks to the midsection and armwringer before he tags in Bentley. The hammerlock applied on Christian and Bentley comes down with a double axe handle chop. The champions throw Christian into the ropes. Double hiptoss as Christian bounces off the ropes. The crowd explodes into cheers as Sabin and Bentley drop a double fistdrop before delivering a double kip up and Stylish rushes into a double hiptoss, before getting a double elbowdrop. The NAWA World and International Champions take a powder to the floor and Sabin and Bentley dive onto them at the same time with tope suicidas. Forearm smashes to Christian and Stylish. Bentley throws Christian into the ring and chops him, before throwing Christian into the ropes. Nice spinebuster brings Christian down and Bentley drops an elbow.
Bentley picks up Christian and forearms right across the top of the head. Christian is staggered and Bentley wrings out the arm, before tagging in Sabin. Sabin delivers a double axe handle down across the arm and Bentley hoists up Christian. Inverted atomic drop and Sabin takes him out with a running dropkick for the count of two! The crowd explodes into cheers as Sabin delivers a fireman's carry but Christian drops down. Sabin delivers a mule kick and a swinging neckbreaker. To the outside and Sabin leaps off with a missile dropkick for a two count. Sabin pounds away at Christian but Christian sticks his thumb into the eyes of Sabin. Christian then drills Sabin with a vicious clothesline. Sabin is stunned and Christian pounds away at him, before delivering a backbreaker. Kneedrop down across the chest and Christian covers for a two count. Choking and a bodyslam followed by a pair of elbowdrops.
Christian picks up Sabin and scoops him up, before turning him into a backbreaker. Sabin is down and Christian delivers a running dropkick to the back of the head. Sabin is stunned and tag made to Stylish. Stylish is in the ring and Christian holds Sabin for some chops. Sabin is slumped and Stylish throws him into the ropes. Stylish leaps off, wrapping his legs around the head of Sabin and delivering a spinning headscissors. Two count on Sabin and Stylish picks him up, delivering a swinging suplex bringing Sabin down. Another floatover and another two count. Stylish beats on Sabin and shoves him off. The NAWA World Champion has the referee distracted and Christian grabs Sabin around the head, before dropping down to the floor. Sabin is stunned and Stylish delivers another swinging vertical suplex for a two count. Right to the dragon sleeper as Sabin struggles. Stylish applies the hold as we have to step out for a commercial break. If this match happens to end during the commercial break, we'll show you what happened after the break.

Back in the ring as Sabin kicks out of a cover from Christian Cage to a pop from the fans. Christian pounds on Sabin with chops and throws him into the corner. Kneelift sets up a gutwrench power bomb that drills Sabin down. Christian makes the cover hooking the leg but Sabin kicks out once again. Forearm smashes and stomps, as we see Sabin pulled to his feet. Christian hoists up Sabin and vicious brainbuster brings him down. Cover on Sabin for a nearfall. Christian scoops up Sabin but Sabin drops down and leaping enzuigiri to the back of the head. The crowd explodes into cheers and Sabin is crawling towards the corner. Sabin is almost there but Stylish rushes into the ring to distract the referee. Hot tag to Matt Bentley, who enters the ring, unloading on both Stylish and Christian but the referee has no choice but to force Bentley into the corner, as he did not see the tag. This gives Christian and Stylish time to brutalize Sabin into the corner, punching, kicking, chopping and choking him with the tag rope.
The referee turns around as Christian delivers a backbreaker before Stylish delivers a springboard kneedrop to the chest. Stylish hammers away at Sabin, before throwing him into the corner. Sabin gets the foot up into the face and delivers an elbowsmash right to the face. Sabin leaps to the top rope and leapfrogs over Stylish before making the hot tag to Matt Bentley. Bentley enters the ring, attacking Stylish. The NAWA World Champion is knocked around with jabs and punches, with Bentley rushing across the ring and SUPERKICK KNOCKS AN UNSUSPECTING CHRISTIAN OFF, CAUSING HIM TO CRASH INTO THE GUARDRAIL. Stylish charges Bentley but gets powerslammed down to the canvas. The crowd explodes into cheers as Bentley climbs to the top rope. He gives the signal and connects with the Picture Perfect Elbowdrop. The NAWA World Champion is covered as the crowd is on their feet but he rolls the shoulder up at the last split second!
Bentley pounds away at Stylish and delivers a vicious DDT, spiking him onto his head, before climbing to the top rope, facing the crowd. Stylish is up and Bentley flips off with a moonsault but Stylish ducks. BENTLEY WIPES HIMSELF OUT ON THE CANVAS! The crowd explodes into boos as Stylish hammers him with chops. Christian is still out on the floor from that superkick and Stylish picks up Bentley, throwing him into the corner. Kneelifts in the corner and Stylish delivers the punches in the corner, before hitting a Frankensteiner out of the corner for a nearfall. Stylish picks up Bentley and ragtags him with some stiff forearm smashes before Bentley is thrown into the corner. Stylish waistlocks Bentley and German Suplex brings him down. Bentley is folded up on the back of his neck like an accordian and Stylish makes the cover hooking the leg but Bentley kicks out just in the nick of time.
Stylish beats on Bentley as Christian pulls himself up, massaging his jaw and looking a bit sore from landing on the guardrail but a hundred percent nevertheless. Stylish beats on Bentley and hammers him into the corner. Tag made to Christian Cage and he comes in with a double axe handle down across the chest of Bentley. Bentley is stunned and Christian hammers Bentley, before delivering a reverse neckbreaker. Cover from Christian but Bentley kicks out. Christian picks up Bentley and hammers him. Reverse DDT connects and Bentley is held down for another nearfall! It seems like no matter what, Bently won't stay down and Christian hammers him, before choking him on the middle rope. Bentley is slumped over the ropes and STYLISH WALLOPS BENTLEY RIGHT IN THE FACE WITH ONE OF THE NAWA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE BELTS BEHIND THE BACK OF THE REFEREE! The crowd explodes into boos as Christian makes the cover. New champions, no Bentley kicks out just before the count of three! Christian hammers Bentley as we step out for another commercial break. Once again, the cameras are rolling.

Christian as Bentley in a gutbuster and tag made Stylish, who leaps off the top rope. FLYING ELBOWDROP WITH THE CHEST OF BENTLEY FOLDED OVER THE RIBS OF CHRISTIAN! Stylish delivers and covers Bentley for a nearfall. Bentley is beaten down in the center of the ring and running kick to the face before Stylish counnters with a backspin DDT. Bentley is down and Stylish covers him for the count of two! The crowd explodes into cheers as Stylish beats on Bentley. Forearm to the chest of Bentley stuns him. Another forearm smash to the chest of Bentley and Stylish is really pouring on the offence. Running kneelift and swinging vertical suplex before Christian is tagged in. Stylish holds Bentley and Christian leaps off but Bentley moves and Stylish gets wiped out with a misaimed double axe handle. Bentley slumps down, crawling over into the corner but Christian deliver ssome elbowdrops to the back of the head.
Christian beats on Bentley and belly to back suplex brings him down for a two count. Kneedrop down across the chest of Bentley and Christian picks him up, before twisting his head into a reverse neckbreaker for a two count. Cover on Bentley but a two count. Christian stomps away at Bentley and pulls him up, throwing him into the corner. Chariging in but Bentley gets the elbow up into the face of Christian. Christian is staggered and Bentley charges Christian but Christian ducks the swing and kick to the midsection. Christian hoists Bentley up and attempted vertical suplex but Bentley drops behind and pulls out an elevated belly to back suplex! Christian is down but not for long as he makes the tag to Miles Stylish. Stylish pulls up Bentley and chops him, before hoisting him up. Bentley struggles and Stylish falls backwards inadverantly, ALLOWING SABIN TO BE TAGGED IN!
Sabin blocks an attempted punch from Stylish and hammers away at him with jabs, before delivering a spinning leg lariat. Spinning leg lariat wipes Christian out as he attempts to enter the ring. Sabin hammers away at Christian with punches and knocks him through the ropes and to the arena floor. Christian lands hard and Sabin is hoisted up in a tilt a whirl by Stylish but Sabin counters with an armdrag takeover. Stylish bounces up to his feet and Sabin delivers a Frankensteiner flipping him over. Sabin pounds away at Stylish and hooks him. FISHERMAN BUSTER BRINGS STYLISH DOWN TO THE CANVAS! Sabin makes the cover hooking the leg. Nearfall when Stylish picks up. Sabin pounds away at Stylish and gutwrench into a gutbuster to the outwside but Christian grabs him by the ankle and pulls him off the ring apron!
Christian pounds away at Sabin but Bentley rushes down the ring apron and wipes out Christian with a clothesline. Stylish slides to the floor and pounds away at Sabin, before throwing him into the ring. The crowd is booing as Christian hits backfirst into the guardrail. Stylish delivers an uppercut to Sabin and pulls him up for the Las Vegas Trauma but Sabin drops down and shoves Stylish. RIGHT IN THE SUPERKICK FROM BENTLEY! Stylish staggers into position for the Cradle Shock! The crowd is on their feet, if Chris Sabin scores the pin, he could become the new NAWA World Champion. One, Two, Thr...Christian leaps off the top rope with a frog splash but Sabin moves and Stylish gets struck. Christian is on his feet and Bentley and Sabin are up. DOUBLE SUPERKICK FROM THE NAWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS BRINGS CHRISTIAN TO THE FLOOR! The crowd explodes into cheers as Bentley dives over the top rope and pounds away at Christian as Sabin gives the signal. Stylish is on his feet and staggers into the Cradle Shock no Stylish drops down and scoops up Sabin for the Las Vegas Trauma and PLANTS HIM DOWN TO THE CANVAS! Stylish collapses on the canvas, but before he could move, the bell rings and it's been an hour already? The sixty minute time limit has expired!

The crowd is chanting for five more minutes but that's time we don't have. Raven appears in the balcony, ranting about Stylish, calling him a paper champion, saying that Stylish has been ducking him. Raven demands an NAWA World Title Shot but out comes NAWA Commissioner Larry Sweeney. Sweeney says next week, if Raven wants Stylish, he has him...non title because Raven's not the number one contender. Sweeney says he's been in the back with Harry Harris all show and the deal is almost closed, but Raven will pay if he does something to tamper with his investment. The crowd is booing as Raven gets on the microphone, saying that he warned the fans about Harry Harris and now he's going to sign yo with "this scumbag". The announcers are wondering if this is true or not. After the hints Larry Sweeney has dropped, we must wonder one thing.
