NAWA Glory 3/23/06
Recap from Last Sunday night on Pay Per View, where Christian Cage retained the NAWA International Title via nefarious means in a fatal four way match, Samoa Joe had a tough match with Sederick Skyhawk for the Television Title but he kept the gold, Bryan Danielson extended his NAWA Cruiserweight Title reign forward against Tony Mamaluke, Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley beat Team 3D in an impressive tag team battle, with help from Larry Sweeney, revealing their true colors. However, those events paled in comparsion to the main event, where Raven became the NAWA World Champion for an unprecedented third time, beating champion Miles Stylish and Harry Harris in a Triple Threat Match.
Tonight: Larry Sweeney has announced two big main event matches tonight between Tony Mamaluke against Harry Harris and Abyss against the Gambler. Also a new number one contender for the NAWA Cruiserweight Title will be determined tonight. Plus Team 3D against Simon Diamond and C.W. Anderson. All this and more tonight on Glory!
"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays and out comes the former NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish who does not look too happy. Stylish walks down to the ring, sliding underneath the bottom rope. Last Sunday, he lost the belt without being pinned. Stylish gets on the microphone, talking about how Raven hasn't proved anything. How can he be considered the champion if he never beat Stylish for the belt? The crowd gives a mixed reaction for this and Raven makes his way out, the NAWA World Title Belt draped over his shoulder. Raven talks about how Stylish is caught up in his own delusions, but that he may have a point. Taking the belt was merely step one, Raven has not completely crushed him in the center of the ring. Raven says he's achieved a milestone that no one has ever and held the NAWA World Title belt on three seperate occassions. The challenge is accepted and Raven will pin Stylish in the center of the ring, leaving no doubt who the better competitor is.
With that out of the way, it looks like Miles Stylish challenged Raven to a one on one match for the championship down the line and Raven has accepted the challenge. Raven leaves without word as Stylish remains in the ring. No doubt that match will be made official before long.

Smokes enters the ring to raise the hand of his charge as Danielson steps forward, holding up the belt. Like it or not, Danielson is the man to beat for the NAWA Cruiserweight Title but Low-Ki has been on a roll over the past few weeks. He toppled no less than nearly four hundred pounds of Takeshi Morishima at Reality Check so he should be a tough challenge for anyone to master, even the longest reigning champion in NAWA history.
Backstage:
Larry Sweeney is backstage, announcing that NAWA World Champion Raven will face off against Miles Stylish as part of Wildfire. This will be Stylish's only championship shot at Raven, if he loses, no more title shots until Raven loses the title, so he better make it count. When Dan Marion attempts to ask Sweeney about Harry Harris, Sweeney says that Harry Harris got his title shot by winning Luck of the Draw and failed, so he's banned from receiving any more title shots until he wins enough matches to get that opportunity. It could be months before Harris could even be consideration for a contenders match. Tony Mamaluke walks up, talking about his match with Harry Harris tonight, saying Harris is going to get knocked off the ladder at the first rung. Mamaluke also brings up that next week, he will be with Larry Sweeney for an entire year and as a result of their agreement he will receive his half of a million dollar performance bonus. Sweeney tells Mamaluke to get read for tonight's main event, there might be another bonus in it for him if he takes out Harry Harris. Mamaluke looks down with this and walks off.
Sweeney talks about his latest clients, the NAWA World Tag Team Champions Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley. Much like Harry Harris, Team 3D is being shoved to the bottom of the ladder where they belong and it could be months before they could even be in consideration for a contenders match. Up walks Low-Ki and Julius Smokes. Sweeney congratulates Low-Ki on both his victory last Sunday and tonight. He said Morishima had to go back to Japan and he has a spot open his stable for Low-Ki. Sweeney says Low-Ki could be the next NAWA Cruiserweight Champion without Sweeney, imagine what he could do without Sweeney. Smokes cuts in and says Low-Ki isn't interested with doing business with Sweeney, after what Abyss and Morishima did to Homicide. Sweeney says that he could make Low-Ki a star, remarking how many times have the Rottweilers failed to become the NAWA World Tag Team Champions? It wasn't because of Low-Ki, states Sweeney, it was because of Smokes and Homicide. Sweeney hands Low-Ki his card and tells him to at least consider the offer. Sweeney wraps up, hyping up tonight's double main event.
Smokes walks off with Low-Ki telling him to just throw that thing in the trash but as Smokes turns, Low-Ki looks at the card, considering something as he dangles it over the trash can, before he turns and slips it inside his bag. Don't tell me Low-Ki is considering joining up with the man who masterminded the injury of his partner and running body, Homicide?
