NAWA Glory 4/29/04

We kick off things in the Chamber of the Council of Five where the Hart Foundation, the Next Generation are walking in. All of them are wearing sweatshirts with jeans except for Teddy Hart who is wearing a three piece suit with his hair slicked back and with a pair of sunglasses on. Teddy has the Cruserweight Title Belt draped over his shoulder while Johnny Devine and Petey Williams have a tag team title belt draped over a shoulder. Jack Evans stands in the background, beltless.

Council of Five Member #1: Ah, Mr. Hart, so glad you could come, as we have summoned you...

Teddy Hart: First of all, Council of Inferiors, I don't come because you summoned me. You have the priveledge of my presense, as I decided to nice enough to honor your request. Perhaps you should show some respect for the best NAWA Cruiserweight Champion ever, who last Sunday had yet another successful title defense, and bow down to greatness. I have held this belt for nearly nine months right now and I am not gong to lose it any time soon, as much as you hope, as much as you decide to attempt to stack the deck against me. Now state we what you are going to say.

Council of Five Member #2: Indeed, Mr. Hart, you have held that belt for nine months, a very impressive reign. You are very good at bending the rules and not avoiding dectection but what you did last Sunday crossed the line that we in the New Age Wrestling Alliance have tried to lay down to enforce a fair working environment.

Council of Five Member #3: Your presense influenced the outcome of two title matches and could have very well influenced a third. The act you pulled disguised as one of our fine officials is not going to fly, but we are going to keep the tag team title change intact. We are not going to strip Petey Williams and Johnny Devine of the NAWA Tag Team Titles, as that would create an unnessary break in the lineage of the tag team titles.

Council of Five Member #4: Therefore, we will have your men defend their tag team titles tonight in tag team competion.

Teddy Hart: I believe that is fair enough. Who should my men be fighting. The ultra awesome French Revolution tag team or perhaps, the dynamic duo of Fernado Romero Entonio Dominic and Twizted Youth, the former NAWA Tag Team Champions, the Backyard Dudes. Or perhaps...

Council of Five Member #5: Those are good choices, if you wanted a token opening tag team title defense but our opponents will be a bit more challenging, a bit more to merit of a main event caliber match. You will be facing off against a team who has teamed together recently. Petey Williams and Johnny Devine will defend their belts against one man who you screwed out of the NAWA World Title recently and another you attempted to screw out of the very same belt. That would be Tony Mamaluke and Ron Waterman.

Teddy Hart does not look too happy about this.

Teddy Hart: No wait. NO FUCKING WAY. What the hell did those two punks do to deserve an NAWA Tag Team Title Shot? I must protest that, as the prodigy of the Cruiserweight Division, there is no way that two world class tag team wrestlers are going to face such an inexperienced team like Mamapuke and Waterhead. I mean, I am sure that there must be some standards around her and I refuse to let a faceless council dictate the actions of the supreme stable in the New Age Wrestling Alliance any longer.

Council of Five Member #1: You won't have to listen to a faceless council much longer, anyway Teddy Hart. The New Commissioner will be here next week and he is more than apt to keep you and your boys in line, along with several other top stables, including the Archangels of Anarchy and the Triumvirate. And the title defense will take place tonight, or else, your boys will be stripped of their tag team titles and you will be stripped of your Cruiserweight Title and being forced to find work in New York and fight Hardcore Holly on Velocity, because you will no longer have a job.

Teddy Hart: Fine, threaten me and force my hand. It would be a shame if a wicked fate befell your World Champion tonight due to the most elite stable in this company. Not to mention another one of your most popular stars. If they both got injured in one fell swoop tonight, because you decided to play your games with me.

The Hart Foundation, the Next Generation storms out as we fade to the usual opening.

We fade out to some kind of governmental research lab. The date of the bottom screen reads: April 29th 2044. A government official appears on screen.

Government Official: Entry #666. President Levesque has requested this new super solider, one to programmed with the best wrestlers on the planet today. He feels that this super solider, with great wrestling abilities will be the ultimate combat in the war against the secret rebellion organization, who have dubbed themselves S.M.A.R.K. Code named: Hi Tech, this warrior will flush out this cynical group. No modem will be overturned, as this man will be the supreme warrior.

A statis tube is shown, with a figure that appears to be MWCW wrestler Hi Tech inside in suspended animation, but it can't be as this is thirty years in the future(to the date). Several viles, that must be strands of DNA marked into this Super Solider are marked, "HOGAN", "B. GUNN", "HHH", "D. WARRIOR", "S. GRENIER", "B. GOLDBERG", "J. LAYFIELD" "D. FLAIR", and "E. WATTS". The government agent has a vile in his hand marked "OVW" on it.

Government Agent: This DNA sample, from a generic wrestler, with a basic knowledge of wrestling should be enough to give Hi Tech the basic knowledge of wrestling and to bring him to life. He will be the prototype and soon, the evil organization of S.M.A.R.K will be nothing but a memory.

The government agent presses a few buttons, placing the DNA sample into the shell. Light show and Hi Tech is alive but something goes badly and the computer equipment is malfunctioning.

Government Agent: Something is wrong, the computer equipment is not stable enough to bring life, have we attempted too much too soon?

The stasis tube breaks and Hi Tech leaps out. The government agent trys to subdue him but Hi Tech picks him up and drives him down with a spinebuster. Hi Tech looks around, and a strange light is shown on the ceiling of the government lab. It appears to be some kind of vortex. Hi Tech leaps up, into the vortex. The government agent is just getting up.

Government Agent: No, no, this cannot be happening. Hi Tech has just jumped into a rip in the fabric of time and space. On the other side of the warp is...medival England. History could be altered, this cannot be happening.

With that unique vignette, we fade out.

The Archangels have picked up the win. Let's go to the backstage area where Dan Marion is standing by with Miles Stylish and Jerry Lynn of the Triumvirate.

Backstage:

Dan Marion: I am standing by with Miles Stylish and Jerry Lynn. Gentlemen, tonight you face the former NAWA Tag Team Champions, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash, the Outsiders, in tag team action. Now, I must ask you, what are your thoughts about this not being a tag team title match due to Nash and Hall losing the belts last Sunday at Wildfire?

Stylish: The only reason we aren't getting a tag team title shot is that the Council of Five is mucking things up, as per usual. They seem to want to hold down the greatness of the Triumvirate. It was supposed to be the Triumvirate vs the Hart Foundation, the Next Generation for the NAWA Tag Team Titles tonight but once again, the Council of Five gave an obviously inferior team, who we beat last week on this program I might add, in Mamaluke and Waterman our tag team title shot. Now we are stuck against a tag team that is washed up and their best days are behind them but after we beat them, the Council will have no choice but to grant us our rightful tag team title shot. Myself and Jerry Lynn will prove why we are the most elite tag team in the company.

Lynn: I agree with Miles here. We were railroaded big time but once again, we are going to prove why no one can stand in our way. The Triumvirate will, at the end of the day, hold every belt in this company. We will be the supreme stable in wrestling. Tonight, the Outsiders will be the latest to fall to us.

Marion: Interesting gentlemen, now allow me to ask you about the Gold Rush Tournament, which both of you fine gentlemen will be a part of. Any predictions on the outcome of the Gold Rush Tournament?

Jerry Lynn: I predict that the Triumvirate will come out on the better end of the Gold Rush Tournament, winning the tournament and then winning that NAWA World Title at Night of the Rogues.

Stylish: Same thing on my end. No matter whom it is, the Triumvirate will get the spoils and add another belt to our collection. Now if you excuse us, this interview is finished.

Stylish and Lynn walk off as we fade to a

"The Unforgiven" by Metallica plays and the champ is here! Ron Waterman makes his way out to the ring, with the NAWA World Title around his waist. He doesn't even acknowledge Mamaluke, as there is plenty of bad blood between them, yet the Council of Five keeps forcing them to team up, to attempt to iron out their differences. The unthinkable could happen tonight, if they win the titles and we have Tag Team Champions who can't get along. We must remind you that next week, we will have a new Commissioner debut, who is more than able to deal with several stables attempting to manipulate the odds for their own gain like the Triumvirate, the Archangels of Anarchy, and the Hart Foundation, the Next Generation. The bell rings and this NAWA Tag Team Title Match is underway.

Devine climbs behind Waterman and hooks him in an inverted facelock before flipping over and SENDING THE CHAMPION CRASHING DOWN WITH THE DIAMOND DUST! Mamaluke manages to knee Petey in the midsection and cause him to drop the belt but Teddy Hart is in the ring apron and Mamaluke decides to knock him off with a back elbow which causes Petey to ram the belt into the midsection of Mamaluke. Set up and CANADIAN DESTROYER ON THE CHAMPIONSHIP BELT. Mamaluke is busted open and Petey covers hooking the leg, to retain the titles with the pin.

Petey Williams and Johnny Devine defeated Tony Mamaluke and Ron Waterman when P. Williams pinned Mamaluke with the Canadian Destroyer in 0:10:54. Rating: ** 3/4 (Petey Williams and Johnny Devine retained the NAWA Tag Team Titles.)

Mamaluke is hurt and Waterman is handcuffed! Teddy Hart calls for a chair and Devine hands him one. Teddy raises the chair and SMASHES IT INTO THE HEAD OF WATERMAN. Waterman is helpless, half in the ring and handcuffed to that bottom rope. Devine, Williams, and Evans batter Waterman with punches and kicks and Teddy sets up the chair and sits in it, with a microphone in hand, watching the carnage. Petey Williams smashes the tag team title belt over the head of Waterman as Teddy Hart watches on, looking pleased at the beating that Waterman has been given. Teddy eventually calls off his troops and raises the microphone. Waterman is lying, half dead, with blood dripping down his forehead.

Teddy Hart: I always keep my promises. I warned the Council of Five, that a wicked fate would befall their champion and look at the so called, powerful NAWA World Champion. Helpless due to the most elite force in wrestling. Bloodied, battereed, and beaten. I made a statement and it happened. But Ron Waterman, there is more to this that meets the eye. I have had my eyes on the NAWA World Title Belt for a couple of months but I have waited in the wings for the right moment to strike and strike I did, with a vengeance but you must be asking why should you give me of all people a title shot. Well, let's roll that footage from last month shall we.

We see some footage on the NAWA vision, of Ron Waterman in the parking lot and getting ran over by a car. Teddy Hart calls for the footage to stop at a certain point and we see a brief camera frame that shows that Teddy Hart was the driver of the car that ran over Ron Waterman. THAT BASTARD RAN OVER OUR CHAMPION!

Teddy Hart: See that, Waterman. I have stopped you, the oh so all powerful and undefeated champion twice in your tracks now. It was I who ran you over last month and now, I am demanding that I receive a shot, at my divine right, the NAWA World Title. I will restore glory to the hart family, after certain members disgraced it for the last several years. That belt will be mine. I can take you out with a snap of my fingers and give me a title shot and I will prove not only am I the Cruiserweight wrestling prodigy, but that I can hang with the big guns as well. I will be awaiting your answer. Seven days Waterman, you have until next week, before I force the issue and deal you a career ending injury should you not accept my challenge. That is the price you will pay if you don't accept my challenge.

Teddy Hart gets up and smashes the microphone into the face of Waterman as the crowd tosses garbage in the ring. It was Teddy Hart who drove the car that ran over Ron Waterman. We are out of time, see you next week.

Next Week: The New Commissioner arrives.
