NAWA Glory 5/11/06

Recap from last week where Harry Harris and Miles Stylish work together to take Abyss out with a chairshot.

We cut to the ring with a steel cage hanging above the ring as “Sharp Dressed Man” by ZZ Top plays and out comes Miles Stylish, who calls out Harry Harris. Harris comes out and the two men go back and forth, with their history being brought up. Neither man trusts the other but they agree to join forces at War Games. Harris says this is the biggest match in NAWA history, with the ownership of the company hanging in the balance and Stylish says he might not like Harris, but he doesn’t want the company in the hands of Larry Sweeney. Stylish says Harris can trust him one hundred percent, as Sweeney was the one that banned Stylish from competing for the NAWA World Title after he lost to Raven back at Wildfire. Out comes Larry Sweeney, who cuts a promo, talking about War Games. How tonight since Miles Stylish and Harry Harris are now on the same side, they can team up for the very first time against Chris Sabin and Abyss in a little preview for War Games. In fact, let’s not wait until later tonight, let’s get this match started right now.

Out rushes Chris Sabin and Abyss, followed by Tony Mamaluke, Ron Killings, and Matt Bentley. Harry Harris and Miles Stylish fight valiantly, but are stomped down in the center of the ring and battered until Team 3D rush down to the back. The battle lines are a bit evened up and the Gambler rushes out, swinging his briefcase to even them up all the way. Sweeney yells since there’s a cage hanging above the ring, we can have another preview for War Games to kick things off tonight on Glory. One member of Harris’s team against one member of Sweeney’s team inside the unforgiving confines of the steel cage. The Gambler offers his services and Mamaluke jumps on it, a chance to gain some revenge on the Gambler for some recent misfortunes. Sweeney orders the cage to be lowered and security comes out to remove the other eight men from around ringside, including Sweeney. Sweeney protests but security states they are doing this under orders of NAWA owner Matt Harms. The announcers hype up the opening match between the Gambler and Tony Mamaluke coming up next inside a Steel Cage. We’ll be right back after this.
