NAWA Glory 5/19/05
Tonight: The NAWA Television Champion Sederick Skyhawk and the NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish join forces to take on the duo of the Gambler and Jerry Lynn! Return match for the NAWA World Tag Team TItles, as Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley retain their newly acquired titles against the former champions, the Archangels of Anarchy. Also, AJ Styles is in action, Raven is in action, the Rottweilers in action, and more tonight on NAWA Glory!
"The Final Countdown" by Europe plays and the crowd gives a mostly positive, but slightly mixed, reaction as the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion and 2005 Gold Rush Champion Bryan Danielson. Danielson won the tournament last Sunday Night, beating Raven, Scott Steiner, and Tony Mamaluke in three hard fought matches. Rolling into the ring, Danielson has the microphone. Danielson says that he normally allows his wrestling to do his speaking, but in light of his recent Gold Rush triumph, he would say a few words. Last Sunday, Danielson fought three of the greatest wrestlers the NAWA has to offer and June 19th at Night of the Rogues, in exactly one month, Danielson has a chance of a lifetime, against the best in the world, the NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish.
Danielson pauses, before he reminds us that Miles Stylish was the only person in his five month NAWA career to ever pin Bryan Danielson in the center of the ring. He's watched that loss on March 15th this year over and over again, in the first round of the NAWA World Title Tournament. At Night of the Rogues, Danielson has a chance to avenge that blemish and at the same time ascend to another peak of his career, adding the NAWA World Title, to the NAWA Cruiserweight Title that he already has.
"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays and the crowd boos as Miles Stylish comes out to the ring, wearing a smug expression and a three piece suit, not to mention the NAWA World Title over his shoulder. Last Sunday, Stylish beat the Gambler, cutting off his NAWA World Title hopes. Stylish puts over Danielson's accomplishments, saying that he is the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion and won the Gold Rush Tournament, no small feats at all. However, Stylish would like to bring up the names of the following men. Jeff Jarrett, Scott Steiner, Ron Waterman, Raven, and Harry Harris. They all have two things in common. One, they all held the NAWA World Title and two, they have been beaten by Miles Stylish. But, Stylish says Danielson should feel no pressure, before casually reminding him that Stylish won a sixty minute iron match against the longest reigning NAWA Television Champion and only four time NAWA International Champion, Jerry Lynn at Wildfire.
Danielson says he doesn't worry. The fact remains that this time he will beat Stylish. He respects him but come Night of the Rogues, Stylish will find out that Bryan Danielson might be just a little bit better. Stylish looks skeptical but Danielson also says that he's not going to sit back, and let the NAWA Cruiserweight Title go undefended as he prepares for Night of the Rogues. In fact, he's throwing out a challenge to put that belt on the line but this is not going to be a token title defense. No, Danielson wants the man who has held the NAWA Cruiserweight Title for a record thirteen months in the past, he wants Teddy Hart in the ring next week with the title on the line. Both men stare each other down from there respective situations in the arena, before Stylish walks off, leaving Danielson in the ring for a few more seconds, before he walks off. Danielson and Stylish is coming up at Night of the Rogues for the NAWA World Title, but the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion has thrown down the gautlet for Teddy Hart, offering him a title match next week, no doubt for Danielson to get himself ready for the biggest match of his career at Night of the Rogues.

At this moment, the NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish walks into the scene, with the belt draped over his shoulder. Stylish says much to his disgust, he has to team with Skyhawk tonight. The champion reminds us that he's defeated both Jerry Lynn and The Gambler on back to back Pay Per View and he didn't need an entourage to do it. In fact, while Skyhawk beat Lynn, Stylish expresses doubt that he could beat the Gambler. This causes Ricardo and Candace to both begin to freak out, saying that there is no way someone like the Gambler could beat Skyhawk, calling him common and not worthy of Hollywood, not worthy to even be in the same ring with Skyhawk. Skyhawk looks a bit unnerved, but Stylish says that Skyhawk better hold up his end of the match tonight. With that we fade to a

Austin Aries is sitting backstage, when Alex Shelley comes out, asking for a moment of his time. Shelley puts over Aries as one of the top wrestlers of the NAWA Cruiserweight division, a division that Shelley is proud to be a part of as well. But, recently, Bryan Danielson has set his sights towards the NAWA World Championship and he may be cutting back on his schedule of title defenses, so both men might be shut out in the cold. Aries asks where Shelley is coming with this. Shelley says that they should form a team and set their sights on the NAWA World Tag Team Titles. We cut to a large room where members of the press are crowding around, with the NAWA International Champion Tony Mamaluke and his agent Larry Sweeney are crowding around. Sweeney trumpets Mamaluke as the greatest professional wrestling in the world. He calls Danielson lucky, stating that he fluked his way to a victory in the Gold Rush Tournament, and if Danielson and Mamaluke fight one more time, Mamaluke would come out on top. Sweeney also says that New Jack doesn't need to look any further for the man who will challenge for the NAWA World Title at WrestleClash IV, as Tony Mamaluke should be the one going to the main event. He asks the members of the press to name anyone better suited for challenging the NAWA World Title. A member of the press shouts "Ron Waterman".
This causes both Sweeney and Mamaluke to begin yelling, with Mamaluke pointing out that he beat Waterman three times in a month, the only person to even beat Waterman more than once and he did it three times...in one month! Of course, the dubious nature of these victories are glossed over by the NAWA International Champion. Mamaluke challenges Ron Waterman for Night of the Rogues, offering to put the NAWA International Title on the line once again to prove his point once more. Sweeney suggests that they make it a Best Two Out of Three Falls Match, so there are no arguments this time when Mamaluke beats Waterman about people jealous of his talent crying about fluke victories or outside interference. It will be no fluke when Waterman is swept in two straight falls. Sweeney and Mamaluke conclude the press conference, with Sweeney promising that Tony Mamaluke will be walking out of WrestleClash IV as the NAWA World Champion.
