NAWA Glory 5/26/05

Tonight: The NAWA Cruiserweight Championship is put on the line when Bryan Danielson squares off against Teddy Hart. Also, CM Punk and Tony Mamaluke join forces to take on Raven and Ron Waterman. Plus the NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish is in the house. All this and much more, but let's head down straight to the ring for some tag team action.

Chuck Palumbo and Norman Smiley vs. Austin Aries and Alex Shelley Shelley and Aries joined forces last week to attempt to tackle the tag team scene. They have some stiff competition with the NAWA World Tag Team Champions Sabin and Bentley, the number one contenders the Rottweilers, and the former champions The Archangels of Anarchy, among others. Shelley begins with Norman Smiley. Quickly go behind with a hammerlock but Norman snap mares Shelley out. Fireman's carry by Norman and Norman knees Shelley in the face, before wringing out the arm, pair of European Uppercuts and some forearms, before making the tag to Palumbo. Palumbo enters the ring and he kicks away at Shelley, before launching him into the air up and down with a high back body drop. Shelley is on his feet and Palumbo scoops him up, slamming him down. Leaping elbowdrop for a two count. Irish whip into the ropes and Palumbo ducks the head, allowing Shelley to connect with a DDT, bringing him to the canvas.

Shelley applies a neck crank before tagging in Austin Aries. Running dropkick by Aries as Shelley holds the head. Shelley leaves the ring and Aries chops away at Palumbo, before choking him on the top rope. Kicks to the back of the head and Aries leaps over the top rope, running neck snap bringing Palumbo down. Aries quickly slingshots into the ring with a senton for a two count. Stomps and tag made to Alex Shelley. Whip into the ropes and double elbow smash before Aries scoops up Shelley and slams him down with a tilt a whirl slam right into Palumbo. Shelley covers for a two count. Quickly, Shelley pulls Palumbo into a pair of forearm smashes and twists him into a reverse neckbreaker to score a two count. Shelley chops Palumbo and jab sends him into the corner. Running into the corner but Palumbo gets the foot up into the face. To the second rope and Palumbo launches his massive frame into Shelley with a shoulderblock. Race to the corner. Aries is tagged in and hot tag to Norman Smiley!

Norman enters the ring, chopping away. Nice forearm smash drops Aries. Dropkick knocks Shelley off as he tries to get up on the ring apron. Norman rocks Aries with a European Uppercut before grabbing him by the hair, running him across the ring and ramming him into the head of Alex Shelley. Scooping up Aries, Norman has him perfectly up and a spinning slam. Norman covers but only a two count. He picks up Aries and standing headscissors. Power bomb right into the corner drops Aries! Aries is in the corner and Shelley enters the ring but Palumbo cuts him off, running boot to the chest. Shelley gets launched to the floor and Palumbo follows. Norman delivers a Northern Lights Suplex with a bit of a snap for a two and a half count. Knee to the head and he sets up Aries for the Norman Conquest but Aries counters with an ippozei throw. Norman rolls and turns around, right into a kneelift from Aries. Aries hooks Norman and brainbuster brings him down. Aries to the top rope. Picture perfect 450 Splash down onto the chest of Norman Smiley. Shelley rams Palumbo into the guardrail to stop him from entering the ring as the referee makes the count to register the pin!

Alex Shelley and Austin Aries defeated Chuck Palumbo and Norman Smiley when Aries pinned Smiley with the 450 Splash in 0:09:04. Rating: ** 3/4

Shelley and Aries get their hands raised for the victory, smug looks on their face as they kick off their NAWA stint with a bang. Replays are shown from the finishing sequence by Aries.

Backstage:

The NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish is standing backstage. Stylish talks about how he's defeated the best the New Age Wrestling Alliance has to offer. Clips are shown of his victories over the likes of Raven, Ron Waterman, Jerry Lynn, Christopher Daniels, Tony Mamaluke, The Gambler, Scott Steiner, and Harry Harris. At Night of the Rogues, June 19th, 2005, only on Pay Per View, Miles Stylish will put the NAWA World Title on the line against the winner of the 2005 Gold Rush Tournament and the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion Bryan Danielson. Stylish reminds us that he is the NAWA World Champion because he is simply the best wrestler in the world. He will give Danielson his due, he could very well be a close second but at Night of the Rogues, Danielson will learn the same truth that many have before him. Miles Stylish is pound for pound the simple greatest wrestler in the New Age Wrestling Alliance. Stylish hopes that Danielson is training hard, because he wants a great hard fought battle, because that will make his inevitable victory that much more triumphant. To show that Stylish is ready for Danielson, he has arranged a non-title exhibition with a cruiserweight competitor tonight. We fade out with a determined look on the face of the champion.

Petey Williams vs. AJ Styles Larry Sweeney is at ringside to watch this match, with a clipboard. Both men circle each other, before locking up. Petey grabs the arm of Styles and wrings out the arm, but Styles chops out of the hold and armdrag catches Petey Williams off guard. Petey is up to his feet once again and another pair of armdrags. Styles delivers a forearm smash and whips Petey into the corner. Petey flips halfway into the corner and Styles hooks Petey Williams in a rear waistlock, before bringing Petey down with a belly to back suplex for a two count. Styles picks up Petey Williams and irish whip into the ropes. Clothesline is ducked but Styles delivers a bodyscissors right into a snap mare and leapfrog right over the sitting Petey Williams and falling forearm right to the top of the head. Two count off of the cover and Styles picks up Petey Williams, wringing out the arm, before whipping him into the ropes. Styles ducks the head and kick to the face by Petey Williams stalls his momentum.

Petey Williams backs off and leg lariat rocks AJ Styles. Styles goes down and a two count only. Petey Williams picks up Styles and quickly delivers a series of rabid fire jabs, doubling him over. This sets him up for a swinging neckbreaker. Styles favors the neck and Petey Williams covers for a two count. Petey Willams picks up Styles and pair of elbow smashes driven down across the back of the head, before Styles is sent into the corner with an irish whip. Petey Williams follows him with a forearm smash to the chest and quickly to the outside. To the top rope and missile dropkick connects, bringing AJ Styles down! Styles is rolled over and Petey Williams covers for a two count. Petey Williams delivers a kneelift right to the chest and he prepares to reel him in. Attempted Canadian Destroyer but Styles counters with a quick fireman's carry.

Petey lands on the canvas but he kips up immediately, chopping away at AJ Styles. Styles is backed off and Petey Williams whips Styles into the ropes. Clothesline is ducked and Styles bounces back off the ropes. BEFORE CATCHING PETEY RIGHT IN THE FACE WITH THE PELE KICK! Petey Williams crumples down to the canvas and Styles covers for a two count. Styles picks up Petey Williams and elbows to the head, before he whips Petey Williams into the ropes. Leaping leg lariat cuts him down and Styles climbs to the outside. High risk move on the way and springboard clothesline brings Petey Williams down. Cover for a two count. Kick to the face of Petey Williams and Styles leaps to the middle rope. Asai Moonsault and Styles catches the head of Petey Williams on the way down but Petey scissors the ropes to avoid being brought down. Styles backs off and goes for a forearm smash but Petey Williams ducks. Dropkick right to the knee and Petey Williams sets up Styles. Canadian Destroyer. NO STYLES CATCHES PETEY WILLIAMS IN MID FLIP AND ATTEMPTS TO REVERSE TO A BACK DROP! No, Petey Williams rolls through into a sunset flip for a two and a half count which Styles rolls through. Petey Williams is upside down and Styles Clash connects! Rolled into a pinning predicament and Styles scores the pin!

AJ Styles pinned Petey Williams with the Styles Clash in 0:09:07. Rating: *** 1/2

Styles gets his hand raised for the victory after some great Cruiserweight action as Larry Sweeney stands on the ramp. Sweeney already has the NAWA International Champion Tony Mamaluke in his stable and also Killings, who is currently off being re-branded, could he have his sights set on AJ Styles? Over the past couple of weeks, Sweeney has found his way down to the ring for the matches involving AJ Styles.

Backstage:

We have a prerecorded promo involving Scott Steiner about how he's seen how New Jack's been trying to figure out who should get the all important NAWA World Title Shot at WrestleClash IV. Well, New Jack should look no further than Scott Steiner. Steiner says that Miles Stylish is looking towards future battles with CM Punk, Teddy Hart, Bryan Danielson, Raven, Ron Waterman, and many more, but the person that Stylish should really be worried about is Big Poppa Pump. Last time, Stylish got lucky, next time, Big Poppa Pump will break him and take his title. Steiner brags he has the largest arms in the world and will become the NAWA World Champion once again. He gives a shout out to his freaks, reminding us that Big Poppa Pump is their hook up and also, he will be the next NAWA World Champion.

The Gambler is making his way down to the ring, with a microphone in hand. He says last week he pinned the NAWA Television Champion Sedrick Skyhawk in the center of the ring, one, two, three, for the entire world to see. The Gambler says that the only way he is going to give anyone a title shot is if they beat Skyhawk and the Gambler has done that. The Gambler is calling Sederick Skyhawk, declaring he will win his first real championship belt in the New Age Wrestling Alliance.

Out comes Sederick Skyhawk, along with Richard Ramos Ricardo Attorney, At Law, Mr. Fernando, Candace Sweet, and Bruno the Bodyguard. Candace screeches the Gambler has no right to demand a title shot at the star attraction of the New Age Wrestling Alliance, Sederick Skyhawk, calling him an insignificant nobody just like everyone else in the crowd. Ricardo takes his turn, saying that the Gambler will never amount to anything in his career except for a pity case that got a lucky victory once upon a title. Sederick Skyhawk is the future of this business, the Gambler is just around to make the fans think they might have a chance. The Gambler says if Skyhawk's so sure that he'll beat it, why doesn't he put the Television Championship on the line tonight? Or is he afraid the Gambler might embarass him again?

Skyhawk grabs the microphone, saying that he can beat the Gambler anytime, anyplace, anywhere but "not tonight". Instead, Ricardo gets back on the microphone, offering an opponent that he claims to be more of the Gambler's calibre, Mr. Fernando. The Gambler looks insulted, before he claims that, in case they did not the memo, he quit wrestling jobber matches two years ago. Ricardo says that the Gambler will wrestle this match or he'll never get a shot at Skyhawk. Gambler grudgingly accepts and the match is on.

THE GAMBLER KNOCKS MR. FERNANDO OUT WITH A FOREARM SMASH TO SCORE THE PIN!

Ricardo enters the ring and the Gambler punches him down. Candace Sweet is on the ring apron and the Gambler pulls her into the ring, before delivering an atomic drop to cheers of the crowd. Bruno enters the ring and MURDERS THE GAMBLER WITH A CLOTHESLINE! The Gambler might be dead and Bruno picks up the Gambler, before setting him up. Sidewalk Slam brings the Gambler down. The Gambler has been wasted, and Bruno sits up the Gambler, holding his head, allowing Skyhawk to enter the ring with the NAWA Television Title Belt and rub it into his face, taunting him with the title to boos from the crowd. Skyhawk and company leaves, with the Gambler laid out in the center of the ring, thanks to the brutality of Bruno.

Backstage:

Dan Marion is backstage with the NAWA World Tag Team Champions Chris Sabin and Matt Bentley. Marion says that after a year, the duo finally broke through and captured the NAWA World Tag Team Titles from the Archangels of Anarchy, so how did it feel to become champions? Sabin remarks that it's been great to finally hold championship gold in the New Age Wrestling Alliance, both himself and Bentley have been working towards this for over a year. Bentley talks about how these belts represent the pinacle of tag team wrestling and that they are the top dogs of the company. Before they can talk any further, Julius Smokes enters, with the Rottweilers. Smokes says he needs to level with them, saying that Bentley and Sabin might be the champions, but his Rottweilers are the better team.

When Sabin and Bentley protest this, Smokes points out that Low Ki and Homicide have defeated Sabin and Bentley not once, not twice, but three times. So, the least those boys should do is to give the Rottweilers a chance to become NAWA World Tag Team Champions. Sabin says that they're fighting champions and will throw it down with any team, so how about at Night of the Rogues, they do battle? After a brief conference with the Rottweilers, Smokes agrees to the terms, it's on with Bentley and Sabin against the Rottweilers for the NAWA World Tag Team Titles June 19th at Night of the Rogues. Both teams have a stand off where Homicide and Low Ki sucker punch the champions! This does not go unpunished, as Bentley and Sabain fire back. Both teams are trading punches and kicks, going through the backstage area. Sabin has a black eye as a result of the encounter and Homicide has a busted up lip before they are pulled apart. Things are only just beginning to esclate between these two teams.

CM Punk and Tony Mamaluke(w/Larry Sweeney) vs. Ron Waterman and Raven All four of these men are looking to gain the attention of NAWA Commissioner New Jack as he continues to try and figure out who will get that all important NAWA World Title Shot at WrestleClash IV. Mamaluke and Waterman start out, to cheers from the fans as Waterman advances on Mamaluke but Mamaluke rolls underneath a shot and tag made to CM Punk. Punk enters the ring with some chops and a series of leg kicks, but Waterman takes a step back and forearms Punk to the canvas. Punk is back on his feet and Waterman punches away at Punk, before launching him into the corner. Punk bounces out into a spinebuster and Waterman covers for a two count. Waterman picks up Punk and hooks him, before bringing him down with a delayed vertical suplex. Two count and Waterman tags in Raven. Holding Punk steady, Waterman allows Raven to jab away at Punk.

Punk is staggered and Raven headlocks Punk, before punching him in the face. Another vicious punch to the face. Uppercut cracks the face of Punk as the announcers talk about the bad blood of Punk and Raven. Raven climbs to the second turnbuckle and begins to choke the life of Punk. The crowd is cheering as Raven is biting on the forehead of Punk. The referee puts the count on Raven and Raven has to break at the count of four. Punches to Punk and Raven kicks Punk right in the groin right in front of the referee. This causes the referee to issue a warning to Raven and Raven grabs Punk around the head, before bringing him down with a vicious bulldog! The head of Punk has been bounced off the canvas and Raven just stomps the face of Punk. He backs off but Mamaluke grabs Raven from behind. Raven turns around and clocks Mamaluke but this allows Punk to deliver a knee to the back, which sends Raven to the arena floor.

Raven is down on the floor as Punk distracts the referee allowing Larry Sweeney to catch Raven with a kick to the kidneys. Sweeney laughs about Raven's misfortune as Mamaluke takes advantage of a downed Raven by legdropping him off the ring apron to the floor. Mamaluke rams Raven into the guardrail and rolls him into the ring, where Punk meets him with a forearm to the face. Another pair of forearms to the face and Punk whips Raven into the ropes. Kick to the ribs and Punk cradles Raven as he comes off the ropes. Fisherman suplex brings Raven down to the canvas. Punk bridges for the cover but Raven gets the shoulder up at the count of two. Tag made to Raven. Punk chickenwings the arm of Raven, allowing Mamaluke to come off the top with a fist to the head. Punk leaves the ring and a pair of European Uppercuts stun Raven. Mamaluke hooks Raven and brings him over with a pair of snap suplexes, before looking on a guillotine choke!

The crowd is booing as Mamaluke is cranking on the head of Raven, with this guillotine choke applied. Raven gets to the ropes and Mamaluke delivers a kick to the head of Raven. He picks up Raven and inverted atomic drop. Tag to Punk and another inverted atomic drop, sets up a running Yakuza Kick from Punk! Mamaluke leaves the ring, allowing Punk to stomp away at Raven, before hoisting him up. Armlock before Punk knees away at the head of Raven and armlock legsweep DDT. This gets a two count. Punk drills a knee into the head of Raven. Another knee driven to the head of Raven and Punk dropkicks Raven into the corner. Mamaluke is on the ring apron and he chokes Raven from behind with the tag rope as the referee is being distracted by Punk. Raven staggers around and Sweeney quickly leaps up, before punching Raven in the side of the face. He laughs like a mad man as Punk kicks Raven in the face, before hoisting him up. Blocked and Raven drops down. REVERSE THRUST KICK PASTES PUNK RIGHT IN THE JAW!

The crowd is cheering as Raven races to the corner. He is about to make the tag but Mamaluke leaps into the ring to distract the referee. Tag made and Ron Waterman rushes into the ring, mowing down Punk with a clothesline. Waterman rushes over grabs Mamaluke and throws him across the ring, before punching away at Mamaluke, but the referee grabs Waterman, forcing him back into the corner. The referee cannot allow the tag if he did not see it and Mamaluke is up, with Raven to his feet as well. VICIOUS EUROPEAN UPPERCUT SENDS RAVEN STAGGERING INTO A CM PUNK ROLL UP! Mamaluke rushes across the ring and sucker punches Waterman, allowing the referee to the count the pin on Raven! Punk has just pinned Raven again!

Tony Mamaluke and CM Punk defeated Raven and Ron Waterman when Punk pinned Raven after a roll up in 0:13:44. Rating: *** 3/4

The crowd is booing as Punk quickly bolts from the ring, with Raven following up the ramp. Mamaluke attempts to do the same, but Waterman grabs the foot and pulls Mamaluke into the center of the ring. Waterman has Mamaluke in his grasp, the fans are cheering but Larry Sweeney enters the ring with a steel chair. SWEENEY HITS WATERMAN FROM BEHIND WITH THE CHAIR! Waterman turns around, not even feeling a thing before he advances on Sweeney. The crowd cheers even louder, wanting Sweeney to get his but Mamaluke has the NAWA International Title Belt. BELT SHOT RIGHT INTO THE BACK OF THE HEAD. Waterman drops to his knees and Mamaluke bounces off the ropes before HE SMASHES THE TITLE BELT RIGHT INTO THE FACE OF WATERMAN! The crowd explodes into boos as Ron Waterman has just been split wide open ear to ear with the gold! Sweeney looks pleased, as Waterman is gushing blood. Mamaluke holds up the NAWA International Title Belt, standing on the chest of Waterman with one foot in a triumphant pose. Mamaluke and Sweeney leave, as Waterman struggles to get to his feet, despite losing a tremedous amount of blood.

Non Title Match Shark Boy vs. Miles Stylish

The announcers say that while Shark Boy is a talented wrestler, they have some skepticism if he is on the same level of Bryan Danielson. They lock up and Stylish shoves Shark Boy to the corner, before chopping away at him. Irish whip into the ropes and kneelift to the chest. Dropkick to the back of the head and swinging suplex connects for a two count. Stylish picks up Shark Boy and forearms to the face, before he shoves Shark Boy into the corner. Gutwrench suplex connects for a two count. Stylish drills a knee to the side of the head, before picking up Shark Boy. Chops to the chest and whip into the ropes. Spinning headscissors rattles Shark Boy. Shark Boy is pulled up to his knees but Shark Boy bites the ankle to cheers from the crowd. Stylish is stunned and Shark Boy punches away at Stylish, before dropkicking him down. Stylish is up and Shark Boy kicks him, before hooking him around the head. Ace Crusher applied by Shark Boy! Shark Boy makes the cover hooking the leg but two count on the company.

Shark Boy pounds away on Stylish, before kneeling down, and bites his arm. The crowd is cheering Shark Boy, as he applies a cross armbreaker, working the leg, but Stylish bridges out, before he hoists Shark Boy up off the canvas. Stylish drops Shark Boy down to the canvas. The back of the head of Shark Boy connects and Stylish picks up Shark Boy, chopping away at him. Irish whip into the ropes and spinning leg lariat brings Shark Boy down. Stylish picks up Shark Boy by the mask and hoists him to the shoulders. Las Vegas Trauma brings Shark Boy down! The crowd is booing Stylish as he poses but he hoists Shark Boy up to a sitting position. Series of rapid fire elbow smashes connected to the side of the head! Stylish is mocking Danielson and he picks up Shark Boy onto the shoulders. A second Las Vegas Trauma and Stylish covers hooking the leg for the pin!

Miles Stylish pinned Shark Boy with the Las Vegas Trauma in 0:05:46. Rating: *** 1/2

Miles Stylish gets to his feet, raising his hand into the air in a token of victory, as he slides to the ring. He beats Shark Boy tonight as he goes onto Night of the Rogues on June 19th only on Pay Per View to defend the NAWA World Title against Bryan Danielson.

Backstage:

Dan Marion is backstage with Teddy Hart. Marion says in a matter of moments, Hart will square off against Bryan Danielson for the NAWA Cruiserweight Champion but regardless whether or not he wins, he will face off against Samoa Joe at Night of the Rogues. Hart says that he was the only person that Samoa Joe failed to defeat. While Joe did not lose, he did not win either and Hart proved that he could stand up to the large Samoan. Hart says that Joe will fall at Night of the Rogues. As for tonight, Hart reminds us that he has been the longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion in NAWA history and tonight he is going to win the belt back, before going onto break that record.

NAWA Cruiserweight Title Match: Teddy Hart vs. Bryan Danielson(c)

Both men lock up and Danielson grabs Hart by the arm. Armwinger applied by Hart, but Hart somersaults around, reversing the positioning of Danielson, wringing out the arm, before drilling elbows to the shoulder of Danielson, before running up the buckles. Hart leaps off, before wrapping his legs around the head of Danielson, taking him down with a spinning headscissors. Danielson is on his feet and Hart winds up, chopping away at Danielson, backing him off, before snapmaring Danielson into the ropes, before bouncing off the ropes. Elbow driven down across the sternum of Danielson. Another elbow driven across the sternum and Hart picks up Danielson, before whipping him into the ropes. Backspin off of the ropes, into an armdrag, sending Danielson to the floor. Hart takes a running start and ELBOW SUICIDA MISSES! The arm of Teddy Hart smacks off of the floor!

A sick bump, as Hart may have dislocated his elbow on that move. Danielson stomps the elbow on the floor, before rolling Hart into the ring. The Cruiserweight Champion enters the ring and Danielson grips the arm, wringing it out, before taking down Hart with an armbar takedown. Danielson rolls over Hart and knuckle lock applied, bending the arm of Hart backwards. The arm of Hart is being bent back and Danielson pulls himself up, drilling a pair of knees into the arm. Danielson picks up Hart and forearm right to the face. Another forearm right to the face and Danielson grabs the arm of Hart and takes a running start. He snaps it over the top rope, causing Hart to fall backwards. Danielson makes his way to the top rope. Hart is up and Danielson leaps off with a missile dropkick sending Hart crashing down to the canvas! Cover but only a two count.

Danielson picks up Hart and wrings out the arm once again, before chopping Hart. Series of kicks backs off Hart and Danielson grabs Hart around the arm. Armdrag brings Hart down to the canvas and Danielson catches the arm, grabbing a cross armbreaker! Danielson is leaning back on the arm, working over the arm. Hart is attempting to bridge out of the hold before draping his foot over the bottom rope. Danielson pulls up Hart, hooking both arms. Knees driven to the head, into a double underhook suplex. Hart is pulled to his knees and Danielson grabs the arm, before folding it back with an elbow submission. Danielson works the elbow, before applying anothe cross armbreaker, cranking on the arm. Elbows rammed to the arm while in the hold but Hart is in the corner once again. Danielson breaks the hold and roundhouse kick cracks the ribs. Another roundhouse kick cracks the ribs and Hart is whipped into the corner. Danielson grabs Hart from behind and belly to back suplex brings Hart down. Floatover for a cover for a two count!

Danielson fires a stomp to the head of Hart. Antoher stomp and Danielson picks up Hart. Roundhouse kick rocks Hart. Antoher roundhouse kick rocks Hart and Danielson grabs Hart, before delivering an ippozei shoulder throw, right into the third cross armbreaker in this match! Hart gets to the ropes immediately and Danielson pulls off, before dropping a knee down onto the arm of Hart. Danielson picks up Hart and forearm right to the face backs Hart into the corner. Another forearm to the face cracks Hart and Danielson backs off, taking a running start. YAKUZA KICK IN THE CORNER CRACKS HART RIGHT IN THE FACE. Hart is slumped down in the corner and Danielson turns him around. Another belly to back suplex. Danielson pulls up Hart, playing to the crowd, before he aims the elbow but Hart catches the arm and rolls Danielson into a pinning predicament for a two count!

Danielson goes for a kick but Hart blocks it and shoves Danielson off. Legsweep delivered to Danielson. Danielson is staggered and Hart with a series of chops, blistering the chest of Danielson. Hart whips Danielson into the ropes and drop toe hold causing Danielson to be hung up onto the second rope where Hart backs off before leaping onto Danielson. Hart is standing on the back of the neck of Danielson before he backflips, lands on his feet and dropkicks Danielson, sending him out to the ring apron. Danielson is on the ring apron and Hart delivers a slingshot, right into a legdrop across the chest with Danielson draped over the ring apron. Hart is back to the ring apron and to the middle of the top rope. Corkscrew splash off the middle of the top rope connecting. Hart covers Danielson for a two and a half count!

The champion is down and Hart punches away at Danielson before whipping him into the corner. Leg lariat into the corner and Danielson staggers out before Hart takes him down with a sitdown faceslam! The crowd is cheering as Hart rolls over Danielson for a two count! Stomps before Hart backs off and goes for a kick but Danielson blocks it. ENZUIGIRI CONNECTS RIGHT TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD! Danielson staggers to the arena floor and Hart takes a running start. Somersault plancha down across the chest of Danielson. The legs of Danielson crumple out from underneath him as Hart connects with that move. The referee is putting the count on both men but Danielson is rolled into the center of the ring. Hart dives on top for the cover but only a two count. Forearms to Danielson and Hart runs the ropes, leaping to the middle rope. Backspring cross body block is avoid. Hart lands on his feet but Danielson with a double chickenwing. He attempts to force Hart down for the Cattle Mutilation but the challenger is fighting. Danielson opts for a release tiger suplex but Hart lands on his feet. Turning around is the champion and Hart leaps onto the shoulders. Frankensteiner delivered and Hart hooks both legs for a two count, but Danielson rolls through into a sunset flip for another two and a half count before Hart rolls through. Stepping through, attempting the Sharpshooter but DANIELSON REVERSES INTO A SMALL PACKAGE! Two and nine tenths by Danielson before Hart rolls into a small package of his own for another close nearfall!

Danielson and Hart are back on their feet and they are trading chops with Danielson gaining the advantage. Irish whip off into the ropes and rolling elbow smash is ducked. Hart comes off the ropes with a clothesline but Danielson attempts to scoop up Hart. Hart drops down below the back and hooks Danielson around the head. Russian Legsweep brings Danielson down to the canvas. Hart picks up Danielson and elbow driven down across the back of the head. Front facelock, right into a vertical suplex and Hart pulls up Danielson, before hoisting up Danielson. Backbreaker drills Danielson down across the knee. Danielson rolls over, favoring his back and Hart drills makes his way to the top rope. Somersault elbowdrop is missed when Danielson rolls out of the way! Hart's elbow hits the canvas and Danielson is up, grabbing Hart's arm. Stomp to the head. Another stomp to the head. A third stomp is blocked and Hart grabs the leg, before takes Danielson down and delivers a headbutt to the midsection. Stepping through the legs and Sharpshooter is turned over, no Danielson gets to the ropes immediately.

Hart delivers a forearm to the face. Another forearm to the face and Hart whips Danielson into the ropes. Leaping forearm to the chest of Danielson and Hart hoists Danielson up to the top rope. He climbs up with Danielson and hooks him. Body shots and superplex delivered by Hart brings Danielson off the top rope. Floatover by Hart and Hart covers for a two and a half count! Hart delivers a leaping stomp before climbing to the top rope. He is up on the top rope and leaps off. HART ATTACK, NO DANIELSON ROLLS OUT OF THE WAY! The body of the challenger splatters off the canvas. Danielson climbs to his feet and hooks Hart in a seated abdominal stretch, before elbowing Hart right across the side of the head with a rapid fire succession of elbowsmashes before hooking both arms and flipping over with the Cattle Mutilation. Danielson is bridging, wrenching on the arms of Hart, putting pressure. Hart has been knocked around by the elbows and has no place to go, so he has to submit giving Danielson the hard fought victory.
