NAWA Glory 8/17/05
"Sharp Dressed Man" by ZZ Top plays and the crowd boos as Miles Stylish comes out, looking like a smug snake, dressed in dress pants, a Miles Stylish "Excellence Personified" T-Shirt, and dress pants, with the NAWA World Championship Belt draped over his shoulder. Last Sunday, Miles Stylish retained the NAWA World Championship over Ron Waterman, brutalizing Waterman with five Las Vegas Traumas in succession. Stylish gets on the microphone, saying the fans doubted him, but the result is not disputed, he beat Ron Waterman in the center of the ring, one, two, three. Decisively, and Waterman is now nursing both his injuries and wounded pride. Stylish remarks Waterman might not be back but it doesn't matter, as there is only one man who is worth of the gold and that is the man who walked into WrestleClash IV with the gold and walked out, that being Miles Stylish.
"Stayin Alive" by the Bee Gees plays and the crowd boos even louder, as Tony Mamaluke comes out with Larry Sweeney. Mamaluke retained his NAWA International Title belt last Sunday against Teddy Hart, after some interference from Sweeney. Mamaluke is on the microphone, talking about how two months ago, he threw out a challenge for whomever the NAWA World Champion was for the seventeenth of August and tonight, he is repeating that challenge. He wants Miles Stylish in the ring for that NAWA World Championship Belt. Stylish looks at Mamaluke, in amusement, remarking that he's beaten Mamaluke several times before but if he wants a title shot, he can have one tonight and the result will be the same. The fans cheer, despite the fact that they hate both men, that will be a hard hitting match and hopefully both of these assholes beat the hell out of each other. Mamaluke says he will become a double champion tonight. Wow, what a main event tonight, Miles Stylish and Tony Mamaluke write the latest chapter in their storied history, on the first main event of Season Five of the NAWA, when they square off for the NAWA World Championship!

One half of the number one contenders just beat one of the NAWA World Tag Team Champions and that has to bode well for their eventual title match. Aries and Shelley leave the ring and Sabin is helped up by Bentley. They had a great NAWA World Tag Team Title Match against Scott Steiner and Christopher Daniels last Sunday, where they retained the titles but this may have set them back.
Backstage:
Christopher Daniels is backstage with Desdomia, Scott Steiner, Armageddon, and Destruction. Daniels says tonight he and Steiner will face off against AJ Styles and Teddy Hart in what should be a great battle but Daniels remarks that he is very disappointed with the performance of Armageddon and Destruction. He has went to bat for them on a number of occassions, getting them title shots and opportunities across the board, despite the fact that there are dozens of wrestlers like them on the independent scene just like them and in many cases more talented then them. Daniels says that he can't afford to have weak men in the Archangels of Anarchy, so they better go out and make an impact soon, or they will be having a nice chat with Big Poppa Pump. Steiner flexes his muscles and Armageddon and Destruction turn to each other, before they walk from the lockerroom with determined looks on their faces.

Elix Skipper and Petey Williams vs. Team 3D Ray and Devon pinball the smaller men early but this is the size and power of Team 3D and the speed and agility of Skipper and Williams. Eventually Devon is cut off in the ring, where he is double teamed by the other team. Nice double dropkick on one occassional and a catapult into a springboard clothesline scores a nearfall. Devon is beaten down and Petey delivers a Russian Legsweep before hitting a kneedrop off the second rope for a two count. Devon takes out Petey with a punch to the midsection as he leaps off the top rope. Tag to Elix and tag to Brother Ray, who enters the ring, pounding away on Elix Skipper. Petey Williams gets knocked around and Brother Ray clotheslines both men. Vicious power bomb to Petey Williams nearly breaks him in half, taking him out of the match and Elix Skipper is in the ring where he is set up and driven down with the 3D. That's obviously enough and Team 3D win their NAWA Glory debut.

Spanky vs. Rhino(w/Sederick Skyhawk, Mr. Fernando, and Richard Ramos Ricardo, Attorney at Law)
Gore. Splat. Pin.
Rhino pinned Spanky with the Gore in 0:00:08. Rating: *
Spanky is one of the top cruiserweight competitors in this company, he took Miles Stylish to the limit on a couple of occassions and had several great battles with other wrestlers, but he was just bulldozed by the War Machine! Ricardo looks pleased, as Spanky humilated him back at WrestleClash IV as does Skyhawk. The broken body of Spanky is pulled to his feet and RHINO MURDERS HIM WITH ANOTHER GORE! Spanky is dead! Wait, Ricardo and Fernando are sliding a table into the ring, the crowd is booing, as they are setting it up. Out comes Shark Boy who gets in a couple of punches, before Rhino drills him with a huge spinebuster and pitches Sharky to the floor. He tried to save his friend Spanky as the table is set up and Rhino hoists Spanky up to the top rope. No it can't be. TOP-ROPE PILEDRIVER THROUGH THE TABLE DESTROYS SPANKY! Spanky just is driven headfirst through the table, his neck might be broken.
Skyhawk gives an approving nod at the destroyed body of Spanky. Spanky is not moving after taking a piledriver off the top rope that drove him through a table. This might be the last time we see Spanky in the New Age Wrestling Alliance and sure enough, out come the paramedics. Shark Boy crawls into the ring, to check on his friend but he is not moving. He looks at Rhino from the ramp, holding his own ribs but Spanky is slowly placed on a backboard, a neckbrace strapped on him and slid onto a gourny, which he is strapped on. Spanky is being wheeled down the ramp as Shark Boy follows, shoulders slumped. These two men formed an entertaining team over the past couple of months but it all came crashing down when Rhino destroyed poor Spanky tonight. The normally upbeat and fun loving Shark Boy looks despressed and it was all on the orders of that bastard Sederick Skyhawk and his legal counsel Richard Ramos Ricardo, Attorney At Law.

Twizted Youth vs. Jerry Lynn Jerry Lynn is not too happy about just falling short about beating Bryan Danielson at WrestleClash IV and takes out his agression on Youth, beating him to a pulp. Youth struggles against the beating that Lynn gives him but Lynn delivers a vicious clothesline, before hoisting Youth up. Lynn covers and that's all she wrote.
Jerry Lynn pinned Twizted Youth with the Cradle Piledriver in 0:01:01. Rating: 1/2*
Lynn gets to his feet, before calling for the microphone. He says that last Sunday, Bryan Danielson proved to be the better man on that night but just on that night. Lynn informs us that he has entered the Unholy Alliances Tournament and he will be the victory. He reminds us that he won the 2003 Unholy Alliances Tournament and he will do it again this year. It doesn't matter if Mamaluke or Stylish is the champion, because he's beaten both of them in the past, and at the End of the Days, he will beat whomever is the champion again to capture the NAWA World Champion. Lynn says no one could stop him, it doesn't matter who is partner is. The crowd gives a mixed reaction, mostly cheers, but some boos. Lynn has made a bold claim, he wants to win that Unholy Alliances Tournament and get a shot at winning the NAWA World Champions and yes, he has won it in the past, winning the 2003 version of the tournament, but it might be different this year. We'll find out either next week or the week after who Lynn's partner is but right now, we head to the back where AJ Styles and Teddy Hart, who will be partners tonight against Scott Steiner and Christopher Daniels.
Backstage:
AJ Styles is backstage, he looks in pain from the strap match that he had against Ron Killings, a losing effort we might add before he walks up to Teddy Hart. Styles remarks that he had his problems in the past with Teddy Hart but tonight, they have a common goal in the mind. The Archangels of Anarchy are a dangerous threat that can take out anyone. We all saw what Armageddon and Destruction did to Team 3D earlier tonight and that could be them tonight. Hart nods, saying he respects Styles, he was one of his toughest challengers during his NAWA Cruiserweight Title reign and they've come a long way since that. Styles can count on Teddy Hart. Hart remarks that Raven is not here this week, because of injuries he suffered in the I-Quit Match with CM Punk and while Punk is gone, Sweeney still has Killings and Mamaluke, so they have to worry about them as well. Styles nods, saying that everyone seems to be out to ruin someone just to prove a point. Whether it be The Archangels, Sweeney's clients, Skyhawk productions, or even the NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish. Look at what happened to Ron Waterman at WrestleClash IV, look at what happened to Spanky earlier tonight. Hell even Raven suffered a beating despite beating Punk. Tonight Styles and Hart have to hang together, or they will hang seperately.
That match is next, Scott Steiner and Christopher Daniels against Teddy Hart and AJ Styles.

The head is ducked and that was a cardinal error, as Scott Steiner rams some forearms across the back of the head. Double underhok and Hart is muscled up with great ease before he is brought down with a double underhook power bomb. Hart is crumpled up like a piece of paper on the canvas and Steiner walks over, before he makes the tag to Christopher Daniels. Daniels enters the ring and kick to the chest of Hart. Another kick to the chest and Daniels steps back, before he turns, pivotting, delivering a spin kick right across the chest. Daniels picks up Hart and jab to the throat. Teddy Hart rushes to the ring and dropkicks Steiner to the floor. Steiner lands hard and Hart leaps onto him with a somersault plancha. Big Poppa Pump looks like he might catch Hart for a moment but his knees crumpe out from underneath him. Daniels is up, favoring his elbow slightly, but Desdomia is climbing to the top rope. She waits on Styles. Styles turns around at the sound of movement and BREATHTAKING SPRINGBOARD SWINGING DDT DRILLS STYLES DOWN TO THE CANVAS! The referee didn't see that but Desdomia has left the ring, as quickly as she entered. Daniels picks up Styles and gives him the Last Rites before he makes the cover scoring the pin. The Archangels of Anarchy steal this one tonight.
Scott Steiner and Christopher Daniels defeated Teddy Hart and AJ Styles when C. Daniels pinned Styles with the Last Rites in 0:11:59. Rating: *** 1/4
Daniels gets the win as Steiner has a lead pipe as he advances on Hart, who is slumped down next to the ring steps. He yells: "YOU DUMB FLIPPY FLOPPY BITCH! I'LL MURDER YOU FOR THAT SHIT!" Steiner raises the pipe and SLAMS IT RIGHT ACROSS THE BACK OF HART! The crowd is getting on their feet and THE GAMBLER RUSHES DOWN TO THE RINGSIDE AREA! The Gambler has seen enough. Big Poppa Pump charges him with the pipe but the Gambler ducks. THE PIPE CRACKS AGAINST THE RINGPOST, DENTING IT! The crowd cheers as the Gambler strikes Steiner right between the eyes with a stiff forearm smash, before security pours from the back. Steiner bounces right back up, a cut underneath his eye and he wipes his finger underneath his eye, his eyes widen in rage, throwing security guards to the side, yelling "YOU COCK SUCKING JOBBER!" The Gambler doesn't back down but you got to wonder about the wisdom about picking a fight with a loose cannon like Scott Steiner. He suffered back to back beatings at the hands of Samoa Joe and this might be the last thing he needs. Out comes NAWA Commissioner New Jack, who will do something if Steiner puts his hands on him. Daniels says something on Scott Steiner, which amounts to "we'll get them later" as the trio of Teddy Hart, AJ Styles, and the Gambler stand in the ring, to cheers from the fans, but this is far from over.
Backstage:
Dan Marion is standing backstage, with the NAWA World Champion, Miles Stylish. In a few minutes, Stylish will put the NAWA World Championship on the line tonight against Tony Mamaluke in what should be a great match. Stylish remarks that it will be a good match because he's in it but Tony Mamaluke was out here, making bold promises, saying he was going to be a double champion, but Stylish doesn't quite believe the Tony Mamaluke hype. Sure, ever since hooking Larry Sweeney, his win loss record has improved but look at his win loss record. Splattered with countless losses to Jerry Lynn, Ron Waterman, and yes, Miles Stylish. Stylish says ever since he became NAWA World Champion, he has had people aiming to knock him off but let's look at the facts. He beat Jerry Lynn, the greatest technical wrestler in this company some say, in a sixty minute Iron Man Match. He beat the man who was called the most improved wrestler in NAWA history, the Gambler. He beat Bryan Danielson, a great young talent who had accomplished much more in six months than most competitors do in six years and he struck down the most dominant force in NAWA history, Ron Watemran, back at WrestleClash IV. Waterman may never be back but Stylish is not done. That's just his record on Pay Per View. That brings him to the Unholy Alliances Tournament where the winner will face the NAWA World Champion at the End of Days and Stylish says they better believe that man will be him. They will be the next notch on Pay Per View to the historic NAWA World Championship reign of Miles Stylish. As for Tony Mamaluke, he is going to see tonight why Stylish is the NAWA World Champion and why Miles Stylish is Excellence Personified.
Coming Up Next: The NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish defends his belt against the NAWA International Champion Tony Mamaluke.
