NAWA Glory 10/27/05
TONIGHT: NAWA World Title is finally on the line when Miles Stylish defends against Jerry Lynn. Tonight Round Robin Challenge featuring Team 3D, Austin Aries and Alex Shelley, and the Rottweilers, Rhino against Chris Sabin, Tony Mamaluke and Ron Killings taking on Teddy Hart and AJ Styles, and much more.
Simon Diamond(w/Richard Ramos Ricardo, Attorney At Law and C.W. Anderson vs. Shark Boy
Shark Boy catches Diamond with a dropkick and a pair of armdrags, along with a cross body for a nearfall but Diamond swings the match in his favor with some offense, including some punches, kicks and clotheslines, along with an extended abdominal stretch, with Ricardo helping him use the ropes. Eventually, the Gambler runs out to chase Ricardo around the ring as Simon Diamond beats on Shark Boy and delivers a pair of snap suplex into a vertical facebuster for a nearfall. Gambler throws Ricardo into the ring and knocks Anderson with a clothesline. This distracts Simon Diamond, as he hoists up Shark Boy for a power bomb and SHARK BOY DROPS BEHIND DIAMOND WITH A SUNSET FLIP FOR A FLASH PIN!
Shark Boy pinned Simon Diamond after a sunset flip in 0:04:06. Rating: ** 3/4
Shark Boy raises his hand into the air for the victory and Diamond gets up to his feet in disgust but before he could attack Shark Boy, the Gambler slides into the ring and clothesline knocks Diamond down. The Gambler beats on Diamond and throws him to the floor. Anderson enters the ring but Shark Boy dropkicks Anderson, allowing The Gambler to nail him with a running clothesline, bringing him to the floor. The crowd is cheering as Shark Boy and the Gambler are standing tall over Simon Diamond and C.W. Anderson, as Sederick Skyhawk Productions just stew from the ramp.

Match One in the Round Robin Challenge: Austin Aries and Alex Shelley vs. Team 3D
The losers of this match will face the Rottweilers first and the winners of this match will get a bit of an advantage. Shelley and Aries deliver a quick double kneelift to Devon at the bell, beating him down but Brother Ray takes him down with a double clothesline and stomps him in the center of the ring. Brother Ray beats on Aries in the corner, pounding him before delivering a huge powerslam off the ropes for a nearfall. Tag made to Brother Devon, who enters the ring to stomp away on Aries, before delivering a leaping clothesline. The head is ducked and Aries delivers a DDT, before making quick tags in and out with Shelley, both men double teaming Brother Devon. Nice double vertical suplex and a superplex/flying elbowdrop combination move were the highlights. Shelley beats on Devon with forearms and delivers a somersault neckbreaker off the second rope for a nearfall.
He beats down Devon, before pounding away at him and forearm to the chest. Into the ropes but the head is ducked and Devon delivers a forearm across the back of the head before bringing down Shelley with a vicious DDT. Shelley rolls over, favoring his neck slightly, before the hot tag is made to Brother Ray. Ray enters the ring, pounding away on both Aries and Shelley. Shelley is clotheslined to the floor and Aries goes for a forearm smash but Brother Ray delivers a full nelson into an atomic drop bringing down Aries for a nearfall but Shelley made the save. Devon entered the ring and clotheslined Shelley down. He hoists him up and belly to back suplex into a reverse neckbreaker. Team 3D then set up Aries and brings him down with the 3D which is enough to score the victory!
Team 3D (Brother Devon and Brother Ray) defeated Austin Aries and Alex Shelley when Brother Ray pinned Aries after the 3D in 0:10:28. Rating: *** 3/4
Team 3D win the first match in the Round Robin Challenge and will go onto face the Rottweilers later tonight. First however Austin Aries and Alex Shelley will face off against the Rottweilers, as Team 3D have earned this little break.

Destruction(w/Armageddon) vs. Jimmy Yang
Pretty much a non stop spot fest between these two men, with Yang hitting a running pescado to the floor on both Archangels. Destruction delivers a super frankensteiner and a slingshot senton but he is unable to put Yang down. A superplex is blocked and Yang delivers a missile dropkick after shoving Destruction off. One fisherman buster later and the number one contender for the NAWA Cruiserweight Title has scored a win on Glory.

Jimmy Yang scores the win tonight on Glory, beating Destruction of the Archangels of Anarchy. In ten days time at Truth or Consequences, Jimmy Yang will have a chance to become the first ever two time NAWA Cruiserweight Champion when he faces off against Bryan Danielson.

Tony Mamaluke and Ron Killings(w/Mr. Fernando and Larry Sweeney) vs. AJ Styles and Teddy Hart
Mamaluke and Killings attack Styles and Hart at the bell but they quickly fight back. Stereo dropkicks take them down to the floor and they follow it up with stereo tope sucidas, knocking both men into the guardrail. Styles chops away at Killings, before ramming him into the guardrail as Hart slides Mamaluke into the ring. Springboard clothesline wipes him out for a two count. Hart delivers some stomps and a backbreaker, before delivering a somersault elbowdrop. Killings reverses an irish whip and sends Styles right into the ringpost. Styles staggers back and KILLINGS DELIVERS A SINGLE ARM DDT RIGHT ON THE FLOOR! The shoulder of Styles is hurt and Killings pulls back the ring apron, before he pulls out a ladder. Hart pounds away at Mamaluke with forearms but Killings slides the ladder into the ring, as we are reminded that Hart and Mamaluke will face off in a Ladder Match at Truth or Consequences for the NAWA International Title. HART BASEBALL SLIDES KILLINGS INTO THE GUARDRAIL but Mamaluke has the ladder. HE RAMS THE LADDER RIGHT INTO THE CHEST OF HART FOR THE DISQUALIFICATION!
Teddy Hart and AJ Styles defeated Tony Mamaluke and Ron Killings when Teddy Hart defeated Mamaluke by disqualification in 0:04:06. Rating: ** 1/2
Mamaluke continues to batter Hart with the ladder, ramming it into his ribs, before picking him up. PRYAMID OF SICILY BRINGS HIM DOWN! Styles is up but doubled over. KILLINGS DELVERS A RUNNING AXE KICK OFF THE RING APRON TO STYLES! Styles has been wiped out and Mamaluke beats on Hart, before ramming him into the ladder. Brain buster brings Hart down hard and Mamaluke climbs to the outside, before he ascends to the top rope. The ladder is set up in the corner and Mamaluke climbs to the top of the ladder. He raises his arms in triumphant and FROG HOP ELBOWDROP DELIVERED TO TEDDY HART! Mr. Fernando enters the ring and climbs to the top of the ladder, holding the stolen NAWA International Championship Belt as Mamaluke begins to climb the ladder. He then snatches the title from Mr. Fernando after climbing the ladder, a symbol of his victory. Tony Mamaluke will face off against Teddy Hart in a Ladder Match for the NAWA International Title and AJ Styles takes on Ron Killings in a Best Two Out of Three Falls Match at Truth or Consequences.

The Rottweilers(w/Julius Smokes) vs. Austin Aries and Alex Shelley
With Aries and Shelley down a loss, they look intense. Unfortunately, intensity only gets you so far when the kicks of Low-Ki are in place. Low-Ki brutalizes Shelley with a series of kicks, before throwing him into the ropes. Leaping kneestrike and a few quick tags with Homicide, as Shelley is beaten down in the corner, including a nice catapult from Homicide into a Yakuza Kick from Low-Ki. Homicide is in the ring and beats on Shelley but when the head is ducked, Shelley pulls out a swinging neckbreaker. He heats on the back of the head of Homicide and tags in Aries for a double suplex. Homicide is stunned and Aries delivers some forearms to the back of the head, before he delivers a running dropkick and a running neck snap. Aries pulls Homicide to his feet and forearms to the chest, before throwing him into the ropes. Running dropkick to the knee and drop toe hold. Turned over into a Boston Crab and tag to Shelley, before he delivers a springboard legdrop to Homicide while in the Boston Crab. Two count and another quick tag leads to a Doomsday Device style missile dropkick.
More hot tags in and out, as Homicide is being beat down with some double teaming tactics. Slingshot splash from one end and a slingshot legdrop from the other and cover but Low-Ki makes the save at a two and a half count. This allows Aries and Shelley to beat down Homicide in the corner, chopping him and choking him with the tag rope. Aries delivers a sitout jawbreaker and a gutwrench suplex but could not put Homicide away. Brain buster is evaded and Aries turns around right into a lariat from Homicide that folds him up like an accordian! Tags are made with Low-Ki a house of fire. He beats down Shelley and Aries with kicks, running leg lariat knocks Aries to the floor. Low-Ki connects with a running kick to the face and delivers a Frankensteiner followed by a double foot stomp to Shelley but only a nearfall. Low-Ki kicks away at Shelley and goes for the Ki-Krusher but Aries reaches into the ring, grabbing the ankle. Homicide runs around, attacking Aries but Shelley manages to catch Low-Ki with a roll up, using the ropes for leverage to score the pin.
Alex Shelley and Austin Aries defeated Homicide and Low-Ki when A. Shelley pinned Low-Ki after a roll up in 0:11:08. Rating: *** 3/4
The Rottweilers are not too happy as Aries and Shelley run to the back, with a cheap tactic by Shelley ensuring they don't go 0-2 in tonight's Round Robin Challenges. Unfortunately for the Rottweilers, they have to contend with Team 3D, who have had more time to rest than they will. Team 3D look to be the odds on favorites to win with a commanding 2-0 lead as the Rottweilers will have to dig down deep to just tie the entire affair up with one win a piece.

Norman Smiley vs. Takeshi Morishima(w/Mr. Fernando and Larry Sweeney)
Norman Smiley has been in the New Age Wrestling Alliance since Day One but unfortunately, Morishima is a complete and total beast. A couple of dropkicks and a kneelift was the extent of Norman's offense, with Morishima just shrugging it off and clocking Norman with a beefy arm, knocking him for a loop for a clothesline. This leads to a vicious beating. Morishima pulls out a couple of high impact suplexes before he decides to put Norman out of his misery with his High Angel Belly to Back Suplex and scores the pin. Sweeney looks on approvingly from his wheelchair at ringside.

Morishima delivers another Backdrop Suplex bringing down Norman Smiley in the center of the ring. In ten days, Takeshi Morishima will face off against the NAWA Television Champion Samoa Joe for the gold in what should be a battle of titans.
Backstage:
Dan Marion is backstage with Jerry Lynn who in tonight's feature bout, he will face off against Miles Stylish for the NAWA World Championship. Lynn talks about how he has been in the NAWA since March of 2002, facing against some of the biggest names in the world. He has been the NAWA International Champion, The NAWA Television Champion, and One Half of the NAWA World Tag Team Champions. Tonight, he has a chance to hold the big one, the NAWA World Championship and he will do so. The rest Miles Stylish's reign as NAWA World Champion will be measured in minutes.

Rhino(w/Sederick Skyhawk and Candace Sweet) vs. Chris Sabin(w/Matt Bentley)
Two weeks ago, Rhino beat Bentley, now he is going to face off against the other half of the NAWA World Tag Team Champions in Chris Sabin. Sabin delivers a running dropkick and a Springboard Thesz Press. He beats on Rhino, before delivering an enzuigiri to the face but he runs into an inverted atomic drop and a clothesline. Rhino beats on Sabin for a few minutes, taking him through the paces, throwing him from pillar to post. Sabin fights back whenever he can but Rhino is just too much for Sabin. Overhead belly to belly suplex and Rhino attempts the Gore. SABIN LEAPFROGS OVER IT AND RHINO HITS THE CORNER! Sunset flip from Sabin and Rhino kicks out at one. Sabin kicks away at Rhino and Swinging DDT brings him down. Sabin goes to the outside and Springboard Oklahoma Side Roll but Rhino once again powers out. Forearms and Sabin delivers a superkick to Rhino. While it was not as vicious as his tag team partners, it had its effect. Sabin backs off but Skyhawk grabs his foot. BENTLEY SUPERKICKS SKYHAWK! Skyhawk goes down and Rhino goes for a clothesline but Sabin ducks. Coming off the ropes with a high cross body but Rhino catches him. FALLAWAY SLAM BRINGS HIM DOWN! Sabin somehow pulls himself to the feet but wishes he didn't as he gets Gored for the pin.
Rhino pinned Chris Sabin with the Gore in 0:08:00. Rating: ** 3/4
Sabin is down and Bentley enters the ring. RHINO GORES BENTLEY DOWN! Skyhawk slides the ring, clutching his jaw but the announcers talk about Bentley and Sabin putting their NAWA World Tag Team Titles on the line at Truth or Consequences against Rhino and Sederick Skyhawk! Skyhawk wants gold and he has a chance.
Backstage:
Dan Marion is backstage with the NAWA World Champion Miles Stylish, who has a large bandage on his forehead. Marion asks Stylish about what was going through his head when Desdomia hit him with the spike. Stylish rolls his eyes and said the spike was but that was not important. The fact was that it opened his eyes to the extent that Christopher Daniels was willing to go to play mind games with him, using his own sister as a pawn. Stylish says that he will finish the job he started before Daniels launched the fireball into his face. As for tonight, he has a job to do as champion and he will beat the number one contender, then he's going to finish his business with the Archangels of Anarchy. Stylish walks off, with the belt and a focused look on his face.

Round Robin Challenge The Rottweilers(w/Julius Smokes) vs. Team 3D
All four men traded punches and kicks, until they ended up on the floor. Eventually things settled down long enough for Ray and Devon to pinball Low-Ki back and forth with punches and kicks. Low-Ki was slammed down by Brother Ray and up top but a Flying Senton was missed. Brother Ray is injured and Low-Ki begins to viciously kick his face. Koppo kick and tag to Homicide, before a slingshot clothesline was set up. Homicide beats on Brother Ray and delivers a springboard back elbowsmash. Camel clutch applied to Brother Ray and tag to Low-Ki. Low-Ki beats in Ray's face with more kicks and elbow driven to the back of the head. Another elbow to the back of the head before deliver a Mongolian Chop and leaping spin kick. Brother Ray is set up for a tag to Homicide and Homicide leaps off for a frog splash but only scores a nearfall!
The crowd is getting behind the Rottweilers a little bit as Homicide stomps Brother Ray, before tagging in Low-Ki. Low-Ki enters the ring and vicious kicks knocks Brother Ray around. He goes for a roundhouse kick but Brother Ray before he delivers a full nelson atomic drop. Race to the tag and Brother Devon is in as well as Homicide. Devon enters the ring, before he pounds away on both teams with punches and kicks, knocking them around. Nice clothesline knocks Homicide through the ropes to the floor. A clothesline brings Low-Ki down as well taking him down. Low-Ki is heaved up by Brother Ray with a flapjack and Devon pounds away at Homicide. 3D is set up but LOW-KI CATCHES BROTHER RAY WITH A YAKUZA KICK TO THE HEAD! Brother Ray goes to the floor and Devon sets up Homicide in a bit of surprise before he gets creamed with a lariat! Homicide scores the pin on Devon to win this match!
Low-Ki and Homicide defeated Team 3D (Brother Devon and Brother Ray) when Homicide pinned Devon after a lariat in 0:10:06. Rating: ***
The Round Robin Challenge ends in a three way tie with nothing settled! No doubt NAWA Commissioner New Jack will have to say something about this but right now these three teams will have to wait.

NAWA World Title Match Jerry Lynn vs. Miles Stylish(c)
Both men trade holds, knowing each other well because they were former members of the Triumvirate and former NAWA World Tag Team Champions at that. Eventually, their nice little technical wrestling exhibition degenerates into a chop battle, which is won by Stylish and Stylish throws Lynn into the ropes. Flying headscissors brings him down and Lynn slides to the outside, to gain a bit of a breathing but Stylish slides to the floor, pounding away at Lynn with forearms, before rolling him into the ring. Stylish pulls himself to the ring apron and shoulder to the midsection. Springboard sunset flip and two count on Lynn. The challenger rushes Stylish but gets an armdrag and then a hiptoss. Stylish beats on Lynn and uppercut to the chin. Side headlock and Stylish runs up the ropes but Lynn puts the breaks on. THE NAWA WORLD CHAMPION GETS CROTCHED ON THE TOP ROPE! Lynn takes a running start and dropkick knocks Stylish off the ropes, causing him to take a tumble to the arena floor.
Lynn hit Stylish so hard that he knocked that bandage off of his forehead, revealing the grisly aftermath of getting a steel spike rammed into his head, all of the stitches and scar tissue. SOMERSAULT PLANCHA DELIVERED TO STYLISH! The challenger brings Stylish down and kneels down, before he punches away at Stylish on the arena floor. Lynn withdraws his hand and we see drops of blood on his knocks. Stylish has been busted open and Lynn picks up Stylish, before throwing him into the guardrail. Back into the ring to break the count goes Lynn and back out, as Lynn hammers Stylish with chops, before throwing him chest first into the guardrail. Back in on the other side and Lynn enters the ring, raking the face of Stylish. Stylish staggers, obviously worse for wear, before he gets chopped. Kneelift to the face and Lynn hoists up Stylish. BRAIN BUSTER BRINGS THE NAWA WORLD CHAMPION DOWN! Lynn covers but only a two and three fourths count.
Lynn kneels down and headlocks Stylish, before hammering the head of Stylish, drawing even more blood. The face of Stylish is splattered with blood and Lynn picks up Stylish, before bringing him down with a facebuster. The blood of Stylish is now on the kneepad of Lynn and Lynn delivers a running kick to the face. Lynn picks up Stylish and into the ropes. Sleeperhold delivered to Stylish. Lynn cranks on the head on Stylish, as his face is completely soaked with blood. Two and a half armdrops before Stylish fights to his feet. Lynn delivers a sleeperhold neckbreaker! Cover on Stylish but Stylish gets the shoulder up. Running dropkick to the face of Stylish and Lynn pulls Stylish into a fist to the midsection. Dropkick into the corner and Lynn climbs to the second rope, kneelift ramming Stylish in the face. Lynn hooks Stylish around the head and TORNADO DDT BRINGS THE NAWA WORLD CHAMPION DOWN! Stylish attempts to sit up but he can't. Lynn smirks, he might have the belt won. No two and nine tenths and Stylish manages to summon the energy to drape the foot over the bottom rope.
Lynn picks up Stylish and pulls him into a kneelift. FISHERMAN BUSTER BRINGS STYLISH DOWN! The head of Stylish down to the canvas and he leaves a blood splotch on the canvas where it connects. Another cover by Lynn. Two and nine tenths count as once again Stylish someone keeps in this one. Lynn picks up Stylish and hammers him. He sets him with for the Cradle Piledriver but Stylish is fighting. LOW BLOW TO LYNN! Lynn goes down and Stylish collapses, blood splattering on the canvas. That might be a last ditch effort for Stylish and Lynn knows it. Stomps to the back of the head of Stylish and Lynn picks up Stylish. Cradle Piledriver is set up NO STYLISH COUNTERS WITH A HIGH BACK BODY DROP! Once again, he pulls something down deep and Stylish comes off the ropes but Lynn ducks the attack. LARIAT DRILLS STYLISH RIGHT IN THE CHEST! A loud crack that might of have been Stylish's collar bone and the champion is down. Lynn covers Stylish hooking the leg. Two and nine tenths once again!
Lynn is beginning to get frustrated as he scoops up Stylish. Cradle Piledriver as Lynn hoists Stylish and BRINGS HIM DOWN WITH THE CRADLE PILEDRIVER! That has to do it. The bell will change hands. Stylish wasn't completely recovered from the End of Days! Cover by Lynn. THE REFEREE GETS PULLED TO THE OUTSIDE AT TWO AND NINE TENTHS! Before the referee can render a decision, the Archangels of Anarchy slide into the ring. Armageddon, Destruction, Desdomia, Scott Steiner, and Christopher Daniels, all of them putting a beating on both Lynn and Stylish. The referee is calling fo the bell, he is throwing this match out, rendering it a no contest!
Miles Stylish and Jerry Lynn battled to a no-contest in 0:21:49. Rating: **** 1/4 (Miles Stylish retained the NAWA World Title.)
The Archangels of Anarchy are beating them down five on two in the center of the ring. Security is coming down to the ring, along with the lockerrom emptying but Daniels just calmly waves off the Archangels, the damage done. Jerry Lynn won't be happy at all once he recovers. It is pretty likely that he had the title won! We are completely out of time, see you next week on Glory!
