Out of the Closet
By “The Nomad” Gia Savitz
Chaos is surrounding me. Absolute chaos because Mutiny is
just around the corner, which means a lot of production work for yours truly,
Gia Savitz. I want Mutiny III to be the best Mutiny ever. It was just last
year that I made my debut at Mutiny II, defeating Prince Boomer and getting my
ass kicked by Savior and Acejack. Mutiny II sticks in my mind as one of my
favorite pro shows.
With Mutiny being a show that I’m proud to work on, it
would have been also nice if my parents and little brother Justin could make
the trip from Pound Ridge, New York to come and see their daughter make
history when I end Benjamin Dover’s career. When I think of how they
betrayed me, it makes me want to break down and cry. I love my little brother
Justin to death but as far as my parents are concerned, they were lousy
parents who were and still are highly judgmental. I may be a t-girl but I’m
a human being with emotions.
I had a crowning achievement as I worked Gino Caruso’s
East Coast Pro Wrestling TV Taping Show on June the 25th as top floor
camerawoman. The tv taping I worked should be on cable TV later this month and
early August. As far as the ECPW show, all I could say is I had fun. Gino
Caruso is, I feel, one of the best promoters in the country, if not the world.
I love working for ECPW doing behind the scenes work and what makes ECPW so
great is that Gino runs the promotion like an old school territory, opening up
job opportunities for those who don’t want an on-air role like being a
wrestler or manager but want to do behind the scenes work. I suggest you check
out an ECPW show. I guarantee you, that you’ll get hooked. Some of our NGW
stars have trained with Gino like “The Emo Kid Killer” Acejack and Chris
Mavrick. I basically do just about everything for Gino behind the scenes like
being the street team coordinator, booking venues, and doing video camera work
for the TV tapings. If you are interested in getting hooked on East Coast Pro
Wrestling, go to the website at http://www.ecpw1.com/.
And tell Gino, Gia Savitz sent you.
Speaking of ECPW, I had to opportunity to, in some way,
negotiate with ECPW Junior Division talent Mighty Mikey and Melissa Stripes.
With our NGW Junior Division growing month by month, I would love to have
Mighty Mikey and Melissa Stripes on our roster. They worked the ECPW June 25th
TV Taping and their work rate is world class. They have a bright future in
this business and I hope they could become a part of NGW.
I had ideas of bringing a world TV title-like concept for
NGW known as the Mid-Atlantic Championship. Hopefully we may go through with
it. I feel we should mix old school type matches with our compelling
storylines. We need a happy medium.
This is a touchy subject but even though I didn’t respect
Vince Regals United Wrestling Alliance (UWA) based in Sayreville, New Jersey
much due to it being a little ring on a 1/4 piece of land, there are some
phenomenal workers on the roster like Mike and Matt Mitchell and The Winants.
There is one worker on the roster I would like to have a match with down the
road and that’s female worker, Tara. Yes she’s a girl, but so am I. What
would be a cool concept is if we could have a best of seven series where we
work the series in the UWA and NGW. Tara, if you’re reading the column, I
challenge you to a best of seven series. Oh and it would also be nice if I
could work J-Spyder. From all the talk I’ve been hearing from him, it sounds
like he’s one of the best workers in the business. Oh J-Spyder, we’re not
backyard here in NGW. We’re more Indy than you guys in UWA ;-)
Anyhow that’s Out of the Closet for this week. Next week
I’m going to look at the matches set for Mutiny.
I love you all,
“The Nomad” Gia Savitz
