It was the main event of the NOWF's biggest show of all time, No Turning Back, where Steve Austin, Raven, and Greg Mills were set to battle it out for the Intercontinental Championship, and more importantly, to settle months of animosity that had formed between the three. Falls Count Anywhere, pinfalls only... this match would truly settle things. Except, Greg Mills didn't show up. Raven and Austin had the war fans expected, to be sure, but the semi-outdoor Texas Stadium held more surprises for them. It began to rain during the match, and a freak bolt of lightning virtually blinded both men. As they regained their sight, they realized that Greg Mills was in the ring with them. Mills and Austin battled it out as DDP and Lodi worked on reviving Raven. Once Mills and Austin had virtually knocked each other out, Raven hit the ring to survey the damage. Austin very nearly got back to his feet, but was grabbed from behind by Taz, looking like he'd been living in a cave for the past two months. As he locked the Tazmission on Austin, Raven surprisingly helped Mills up and the two began stomping Austin, culminating in a DDT onto the title belt for the win by Raven. We would later learn that this was not, in fact, Taz, but The Tasmaniac, an imposter hired by Raven, but for that moment, the three biggest superstars in NOWF history were united as the New Breed ... and woe be unto any who stand against them.
