Raven and Chris Jericho were scheduled to have a match for the Intercontinental title on NOWF Rumble, but fate took a different turn and the two would not have their first singles match for five more months. The Perfect Team laid waste to Steve Austin in the aftermath of Austin's win over Mr. Perfect and -- in retaliation -- Johnny Asterix suspended them, and stripped Jericho of the Intercontinental title on the spot, awarding it to Raven via forfeiture.
