Johnny in an undated photo

DATELINE FLASH! - (TWW) To the delight of the house crowd and of the millions watching at home, the be-egged surprise of PWL Superstar Mashed Potato on Christmas night was revealed to be none other than the Louisiana legend, Johnny himself.

First appearing from the egg in a goose costume and being dubbed, The Traditional Christmas Goose, Johnny was received politely, as The Traditional Christmas Goose ought to be received. The crowd warmed up rather quickly however when The Goose removed his mask to reveal old time favourite Johnny.

"It's great to see him back," said Reshma Jackson, 32, of The North Side, "I've been a fan of his since I was little." Vernette Sneer of Hockspit agreed, saying, "I was just so surprised and happy. I was afraid it was going to be the Terror again."

After the show, Johnny told our reporter, "I think it went well, and I was quite happy that the crowd seemed to be in to it. I was honestly touched to see the ovation they gave when I mentioned Burl. He's not forgotten here."

Johnny, best remembered for the 'Christmas Snow' angle, was a mainstay of Louisiana wrestling for many years, also competing often in the PWL ranks. You may also remember him as one of the masked 'Big Burly Boys' in the short-lived Big Rock Candy Mountain Wrestling promotion.
