DATELINE FLASH! - (TWW) In a move that has stunned the wrestling world, our press pool has just been informed of the arrest of one of our staffers. The Whirl is proud to have brought you this news before anyone else. "Uh, yes. Apparently she was attempting to erect some sort of large placard that she evidently planned eventually to set on fire," said Sergeant Richard York of The Police Department. "Neighbours alerted us to the fact." Our staffer apparently was arrested and charged with trespassing on private property. According to one report, an hispanic man nearby also urged the police to charge her with loitering, too, but that suggestion was not followed up. Witnesses say that our staffer arrived on the scene of the incident, in The East End, around five p.m., in her pickup. She was observed to exit the truck and to remove several large pieces of wood from the bed of the truck. She then began to construct some sort of wooden frame that she apparently planned to set on fire. One witness, who asked not to be identified, assured our pool, "It was pretty clear that when it was finished, it was going to spell out the words 'Burnin' Love." Also in evidence was an oversize novelty birthday card, though police are unsure if it is related to the incident. Our staffer was held briefly and then released on her own recognizance. The occupant of the property, when asked whether he wished to press charges, gave such an incoherent answer that he is now under investigation. He was unavailable for comment. |
