DATELINE FLASH! - (TWW) In a move that has stunned the wrestling world, longtime wrestling partners and good friends Shaggy and Freddy openly argued after their match this past Monday night in Kansas City, Missouri. The Whirl is proud to have brought you this news before anyone else. Shag and Fred got into it after taking the loss in a match in which they tagged against Dwayne and T-Boy. Dwayne got the pin on Shag after D & T-B's handler, Bubba Shakespeare, interfered on their behalf. As Dwayne, T-Boy, and Shakespeare left the ring area in celebration, Shag apparently began to blame Fred for the loss, and started to berate Fred for not stopping the interference. Fred defended his actions, citing that there was no way he could have foreseen Shakespeare's attack with a wooden beam. This did not sit well with Shag, who, on his way out of ringside, told announcer Mike Hoffman, "Changes will have to be made, man." The fans in attendance were split as to what changes Shag might have been referring. "I think that it's about time that those dudes went their own way," said Tyrone Mailman, 19. "They's just been doin' the same thing now for, what, two, three month? I think it's time for a change." Betina Schlierg, 24, however, had a different take on the situation. "I think that what Shaggy was trying to say is that he wants to make up with Fred. That's the changes that he was talking about, see." "You wanna know about Shaggy?" screamed an animated, overweight woman from across the hall to our reporter. Our reporter responded in the negative and left the area. Wrestling legend Joe The Giant was personally concerned with the strained relationship of Shag and Fred. "What? What are you talking about?" said JTG when we called him at home. "I don't know anything about any of this. Honestly. Now, do you mind? I'm trying to enjoy some music." At this, JTG hung up the phone, in obvious emotional pain over the impending breakup. "That's right, the relationship is doomed, slack!" said one industry insider on condition of anonymity. "We're talking The Dead End, Splitsville, The Big BreakUp, Done City, Leavin' On A Jet Plane, baby!" Shaggy was unavailable for comment. |
